We had a fantastic experience at Star Hill Ranch! There was plenty of parking, and the entire environment was spotless. The little houses scattered throughout the property were charming and fun to explore. The playground was a great addition for the kids. We came here for our family holiday pictures, and the variety of backdrops was endless. There were so many unique spots that gave us a wide range of options for photos. It s a beautiful location with so much to offer highly recommend for anyone looking for a picturesque setting!

Star Hill Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous venue, perfect for probably any event you could imagine. We had our wedding reception here, and it was the most beautiful and special experience. This is the only place in Austin to have a drive thru wedding, I have 0 regrets, I absolutely loved it and had such a blast, the people were so nice, I would 10/10 recommend. The only thing I d say is if you have a lowed car that it will be hard to exit so we backed up but that s ok it was absolutely worth it and I had a blast.

I was here as a vendor for the Texas whiskey fest and the venue is absolutely beautiful. I did not look at everything but the building I was in and the venue I did see made the event way better. Being in the heart of the hill country and having all the old time charm makes the place amazing for what I was there for.

If you have not had the pleasure of eyeing this incredible venue in person, you need to! This absolutely is a hidden gem! The Hill Country location is spectacular, and their recreation of this small Texas community in the early 1900 s will take you to a completely different time and place which allows you to relax and truly enjoy your celebration. Their customer service is second to none. From our first inquiry to the main event itself, Matt Wooley (co-owner) was the kindest, most genuine person to work with. Star Hill went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. We are so grateful. There is no doubt that Star Hill Ranch will always have our future business. I attended a private event here and had a great time! There were so many places to explore including a chapel and a main street. The event used many of the buildings for different themes, like an art gallery, bowling alley, mechanical bull ring, basketball court and food trucks. There was plenty of parking for our event and it was very easy to access off the main road. I can definitely see how easy and nice it would be to use this venue for other type events like weddings, photo shoots or company parties.

Star hill ranch and Matt were amazing. Our wedding turned out GREAT!! 4 stars for this venue. But unfortunately I would NOT recommend Rene Wooley the in house coordinator. The communication throughout the planning was not the best. She didn t show up for the wedding!! Star hill ranch did pull through but we never even received an apology or a call or email or anything after the wedding from Rene Just in layman s terms we were ghosted!

Charming, historic venue with owners that are fun to work with and deeply care about you having a great experience. Really, theyre invested in your wedding reflecting you as a couple and most importantly, being a damn good time. Renee is a true professional and great to bounce ideas off of. Matt had our backs through the whole process, on the day of, and even helped us get accommodations for the night when our original plans fell through. No rigid contracts with expensive vendors to jack up the price, just good relationships with reasonably priced vendors who also give off the friendly old-Austin feel. If you want a non-boring, non-stuffy wedding with Texas flair or if youre big old nerds like us and want a big nerdy themed wedding, this is your place.

We were there for Mythicon and the staff at Star Hill Ranch were amazing! The property was beautiful and a perfect venue! There were thousands of people there and the place was spotless at all times. All trash cans stayed emptied and facilities stayed clean! They even had real toilets instead of just Porta Johns. It was amazing. Highly recommend for any event!

It was an amazing place to visit! Im from Chicago, and they were very accommodating with AC and water. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. After sunset, a police cruiser was parked outside with lights on to help with traffic control. It was a wonderful venue for a very special event!

Star Hill Ranch was a dream come true. From the first time we stepped on property, we felt cared for and in good hands. Ownership for this venue is top notch, and they will go above and beyond each time to take care of any needs that you have. Matt, Renee, and the whole staff were incredible to us, we truly felt like part of the family. Despite not being country people ourselves, the venue itself is gorgeous, giving you a touch of rustic with a very cozy feeling while outdoors. Since all the buildings are real, there are numerous configurations you can have depending on number of guests and expected weather conditions. There are numerous photo opportunities scattered throughout the property as youll get the opportunity to be king/queen for the day. Our guests queued up months worth of Instagram content between all the incredible backdrops of the chapel, saloon, truck, barn, and more. Lastly, pricing for this venue was an absolute steal, I dare anyone to get better value for a wedding venue in the Austin area. My Wife and I were over the moon for Star Hill after our initial meeting with Matt, and it delivered in spades on the big day. The smoothest operation of this scale Ive ever seen, Renee was an incredible coordinator and she handled everything so professionally and with haste. We are so thankful for Star Hill Ranch, and would recommend any engaged couple give it a look. You wont be disappointed.

Attended a wedding during COVID and when it was raining and leading into record snow and freezes. Very accomodating staff who enforced health protocols while making everyone feel welcome and at home. 5 stars for the staff, unique semi-old west ca. 1900 feel, and fun environment. And they pulled that off during the apocalypse on a cold, rainy day. Had a great time! This is not to say this was a luxurious experience, but it was heart-warming and nestled in the beautiful Texas Hill Country with loads of charm.

One thing Matt mentioned in one our initial conversations was even if you choose not use us as your venue if you have any questions concerning their wedding or need planning advice or just need questions answered don t hesitate to reach out. Who does that? I worked with Matt for over a year on planning this wedding. He was helpful in every step of the way to make sure questions were answered and helped form the vision we had for the special day. Renee Woolley (is Matt daughter) was our wedding planner. She knows her stuff and is on the ball and will guide you through the steps and makes things flawless and even if things arise that poses as a problem they handle it flawlessly and no one ever knows. The property is absolutely beautiful with many options available to have the ceremony. It s a magical and beautiful venue and I can t express enough how wonderful the experience was and I would highly recommend Star Hill Ranch! We even navigated through COVID and vendors cancelled amongst other challenges but Renee and Matt helped make it perfect! When my daughter asked me to plan her small wedding (about 50 people), I immediately thought of this venue. I had been there before. It was exactly what we needed and allowed me the flexibility to do much of the work myself without sticking to a list of certain vendors. Tables, chairs and the wedding arch were provided, and we were able to decorate the way we wanted (without putting nails in the walls). We used several buildings the day of the wedding. Our guests raved about the charm of Main Street and talked about how it gave such a nostalgic feeling to the event. But, we were still able to live stream the ceremony for the people who could not attend. My thanks to the owners Matt and Adam for maintaining such an amazing gem.

Had my beautiful wedding here on October 5th. Renee and Matt are amazing and everything was perfect. A year ago we fell in love with Star Hill and it exceeded our expectations. Ladies I will leave a little advice for you..... Let Renee coordinate the day for you. I had this vision in my head of what I wanted it to look like and she took all my decor with some of hers and it was like she was in my head the whole time. It was perfect and took so much stress off of me. She also made sure that we staid on track and that I had food and drinks. I would recommend this place a million times over. We love you guys!

My wife and I agree this is the best wedding venue weve experienced. It was so much fun to explore wheeler we waited between the ceremony and the reception, when the wedding party and family were getting their pictures done. I was so glad we brought a camera (better than just my phone). There were great shots of the quaint buildings, the vintage cars, (an old pickup served to hold gifts - it was great) and the landscaping. It was a hot, but clear day with just a little cloud cover. Made for great pictures. We so enjoyed everything.

Our wedding week was the best experience of our lives. And Matt at Star Hill Ranch helped us feel prepared and comfortable throughout the whole process leading up to that week so we could truly enjoy the experience. First of all, the venue itself is amazing. A whole town to yourself! It is beautiful. Seriously beautiful. And so many options to personalize your wedding. Secondly, Matt made us feel like family. He is so helpful and understands that wedding planning can be difficult. He responded quickly whenever we needed him and gave us advice or contacts to help us out. He is flexible and supportive. A great person to help you through this process. The day of the wedding, Matt and Renee were both so helpful. Everything went smooth. Hiring Renee for our day-of coordinador was one of the best decisions we made. She executed our vision so thoughtfully and professionally, popping into the bridal house a few times to give updates, ask quick questions, and then leaving to handle the remaining set up. It made the process of getting ready stress-free, so we felt like we could really enjoy time with our friends and family. We also hired SHR to do our set up and break down, and they did SUCH an amazing job. It saves your family and friends from doing a bunch of labor on a day that should be about celebration. Sitting down to write this review, Im getting emotional. I would give 100 stars if I was able to! My husband and I recently had our wedding there on 6.21 and I cannot even explain how perfect this venue and staff are. We found Star HIll Ranch by a coworkers suggestion after choosing another venue. We thought wed check it out anyway and stepping onto the property we knew it was for us. We wanted a unique, fun, interactive venue and we sure got it! Matt Woolley and his brother own and operate the venue and know their stuff! Theyve cared for and created an amazing town to have a wedding experience in. Its a la carte and we got to choose which buildings and which out of countless options we had for ceremony site, reception, dinner, bars and photo locations. I seriously cannot exclaim how easy and awesome this part of the wedding planning was. They are so easy and loving to work with - it felt like they really care about their couples and that we are now part of the family! Best wedding venue in the Hill Country. Me and my wife just got married here recently. We spent months searching venues all over central Texas and the Hill Country and found Star Hill Ranch through a friends recommendation. From the very beginning we knew this place was going to be perfect. The owner, Matt, is nothing short of exceptional. He was friendly, kind and welcoming from the very beginning. You can completely tell he is 100% invested in every couple he has walk through his venue. He accommodated us for every request we had and made us as comfortable as possible. The venue itself is unbelievably beautiful. You would think something that looked online like a old town mainstreet would be cheap and hokey, but not here. Every single building is authentic and real. Spending time inside the Chapel, saloon, post office and other building is truly an experience. They are all extremely beautiful and the entire place has so much care and detail put into it. If you are looking to get married in the Hill Country and to do any sort of event in your own slice of Texas History, there is no better place that Star Hill Ranch.

I got married at Star Hill Ranch in Jan 2019. It was amazing. Everyone at the venue was super helpful. Matt was so quick . to respond to emails, phone calls, and help answer all my questions. Also helped a lot if I was stuck on an idea or what to do, he would gladly use the resources he knew about to help me. This venue made me feel like i was a part of a big family. Not to mention it is beautiful! so many wonderful unique buildings which made it such a unique space and created a large variety in scenery ( also great for pictures!) .
