Great food. Our waitress was very friendly and has amazing customer service. This was by first time here, so I tried there nachos with Queso cheese. We also had Margaritas and oh boy there strong, which is a good thing! Definitely will be back. Great experience

It was our first time here. Came here around 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. Place was pretty much empty with just a few customers. There was a small queue at the door, which was moving very slowly. When we got to our booth, under the table was messy with chips scattered all over. I wondered why it was not cleaned, so I asked one of the staff to do so which was obliged. Our server came with the chips but not with salsa. Strange!! But came later with it much later. Arent you supposed to carry them both together? We asked for water and that came very late. With few customers, the service was damn slow. But later got to know that it was the servers first day. Our evening got better only with the arrival of the food... chicken flautas for appetizers, grilled chicken queso and they were both delicious. Will I return? Im not sure because of the slow service but the food is tempting. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has some options.

I have been going to On The Border for over 40 years, I went into the restaurant last night to place an order to go, they were not even busy, a Thursday night around 8:00, 15 cars in the parking lot, waited 15 minutes inside at the TO GO counter, made eye contact with several employees, no one even came and said we will be right with you. walked back to my vehicle and called the store, they answered, and I placed my order. they stated 10-15 minutes, I went in the store after 20 minutes and same old story, no one came, another customer came in and waited for a few minutes and saw his order on the TO GO rack, and hollered, I am taking my food, grabbed it and left, then finally, after 15 more minutes, someone came out and said my order would be right out, they were waiting on my tortillas. I am a manager myself, your employees will only be as good as your managers expect them to be.

I miss the old On The Boarder, however, the food is just as good as it ever was. Since the changeover to the new look and decor, it doesnt feel the same. However, the table and interior appear to be kept clean. The service is slow, sometimes painfully slow. The main event, the food, is beautifully executed. We go back now and then because the food is so good.

Brought my family in for dinner on Friday the 16th and this place has changed alot. The drinks and food were meh but came out cold as though they had been sitting in the window. Servers were sitting in the corner on their phones by the takeout area instead of showing any urgency. If you need something they are all too quick to wave you off so good luck trying to get any attention if something is not right or you need a refill. Our server kept going outside the takeout door to take smoke breaks during our meal and made us have to smell cigarette stench every time he came back. There are many other cantinas and overall restaurants in the area that treat their guests with respect and better hospitality. We will not be back.

To go order portions are horrible. Much smaller portions than you would expect to receive and they are priced hire than dining in. Definitely avoid. No reason to charge more for small portions other than greed. 20$ for 4oz of steak, a half cup of rice, and some vegetables is atrocious.

I recently had a great experience at On The Border restaurant. The food was delicious, the drinks also very good but the service was top-notch. We love bringing our family here! We always ask to sit in Cristian s section, as he is so attentive and mindful, often showing up with something we need before we even ask. He makes sure the dishes are quality and even has gone back to cook things himself to accommodate some dietary restrictions we have. Above his customer service, Cristian has repeatedly been very caring to my kids. He remembers stories they tell him and even has held onto a drawing they did for him one night. My daughter, who isn t even a fan of Mexican food, picked to come to OTB for her birthday dinner because Cristian makes her feel special. We appreciate him for sure!

But each time, the wait for drink refills is ridiculous. Setting empty glasses at edge of table doesnt seems to flag assistance. For this reason we hesitate to return.

Placed my order online, ended up waiting 5-10 additional minutes to get it. Part of this wait was getting someones attention at the to-go area because no one was there. The staff was kind in assisting me. My order was accurate. However, the food (queso, flauta, empanadas, & enchiladas) was cool/ room temp as if it had been sitting out.. and my destination was only 2 miles. I can only assume that my food was not freshly prepared .

I have to re-review this location as its service, food, and staff have all suffered and gone down hill. I will not return to this location again after tonight. We tried to have a nice family dinner and the employees made this impossible as the waitress couldnt be bothered to take our order correctly which resulted in more than one of the family members not being able to eat dinner at all since their entire dish had to be remade after waiting almost an hour for our food or never received the entire order. Not the first or third time this kind of service has happened which is why Im done giving them chances. I have visited this location many times over the years and most times everything is great. This time we enjoyed a nice dinner out on the covered deck. It was very enjoyable as we were the only ones on the deck at the time. The wait staff did not forget about us either and were very attentive. The food came out quickly, hot and correct, nothing was forgotten. This is a nice place to enjoy a quiet meal with family or friends and be able to have a conversation over the meal without yelling.

We ordered 70 bucks worth of food and food was horrible . They weren t busy but took for ever for our food . And food was still cold and all the dried foods tasted like old grease! The cheese on the nachos was hard and dry and the sourcreme enchiladas cheese looked curdled. Absolutely worst experience. There was hairy gum under the table as well as food all over our table upon arrival. We cleaned it our selves . Our waitress was nice so we didn t want to bug her about the service and food refund. but we would never return
