The family and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Perrys. The ambiance was nice and smooth. I was impressed with how welcoming their staff was. We had two little guys with us and a mini and their patience was tens across the board. They also have a kids menu (pic attached) which was a bonus as I didnt see it online. Of course I enjoyed the amazing pork chop special along with grilled asparagus. Its been so long I forgot how good it is. I highly recommend Perrys especially for the pork chop, quality service and good vibes.

The food was top notch. If you want a drink order it yesterday. Service was a bit slow but the ambiance was very comfortable. Staff was very professional, it all just felt a bit slow and our sides came out intermittently aside from our mains which didnt feel cohesive. Would recommend...the food was...well my mouth is watering writing this so...

Excellent food and dining experience! Stopped in for an early dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Great staff, extremely nice and professional, and the food was amazing. My wife had the pecan smoked salmon and I had the Perrys famous pork chop. We shared mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts, enough food for 4 and delicious. I also recommend the Perry Berry mule. You wont be disappointed. The dinner fork is for reference.

Went into check out Perrys yest as per my friends recommendation and wow that was amazing. Started off with some drinks and had the beef carpaccio, crab cakes and the famous pork bite skewers. All were amazing although the crab cakes need some sort of side sauce with them. Then we split a 40oz Porterhouse between the 3 of us and might have been one of the top 3 steaks Ive had ever and had some sides that were awesome. Thanks to my server Sharon and her sidekick Jake for the great service and the suggestions for everything. Pumpkin cheesecake is a must try

Went to Perry s last night to celebrate our two year anniversary. They put us at an absolutely beautiful table by their wine alcove and had rose petals waiting on the table when we arrived. We started with a Salted Caramel Espresso martini which, I d argue, is the best espresso martini we ve had in Austin. Followed that up with the Pork Chop Bite skewers. Really great crunch with a juicy middle- amazing flavors. Then we had a bottle of red wine and lobster bisque, both incredible, before the main entree came out. The New York Strip Flight came with three, three ounce steaks: Nebraska Prime, Texas Akaushi Wagyu, & True Japanese A-5 Wagyu. Best steak we ve ever had. There were subtle differences between each but all three were world class. But for my fiancé and I, the highlight of the night was our waitress, Hannah. She was kind and attentive and gave what turned out to be some awesome recommendations. Her patience was great- on several occasions, she gave us a few more minutes to decide and would come back to our apologies that we d been talking, still hadn t decided, and needed more time again lol She snapped some wonderful photos of us and took time to edit on the fly to ensure the ambiance of the dark room didn t hide us in the picture. Couldn t have asked for a better person to take care of us. She made our experience great and we will definitely be recommending Perry s to our friends and family because of her.

I recently dined at Perrys Steakhouse and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The food was absolutely amazing! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented, showcasing the chefs creativity and attention to detail. Its clear that they use high-quality ingredients, and I cant recommend the lunch pork chop enough it was a standout! The establishment itself was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which always adds to the overall dining experience. The ambiance was inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. However, I did notice that the womens bathroom could use some attention. It seemed a bit neglected during my visit, which was surprising given how clean the rest of the restaurant was. A little more upkeep in that area would enhance the overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend Perrys Steakhouse for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Just a quick note on the bathroom situation, and this place would be perfect!

Top notch service. Spent the day in Fredericksburg drinking lots of wine for GF bday. Drove to Austin to have dinner. Austin Perry s downtown location is so chic compared to any Houston s locations. Luke took amazing care of us. Had all of our food coming not too long and out hot. We started with the lobsters bisque. Was delicious just a tad bit thick for my taste but topped with some much chopped lobster meat. Our entree was the chateaubriand. Not served the traditional way but tasty accompanied with 3 different sauces. Loaded potatoes were good after drinking all day. We were so full, had to take complementary birthday dessert to go. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or date night. $12 valet. Parking: $12 valet or plenty paid garages around there. Hard to find free street parking at 7pm

It is well staffed. Your wait staff seems to be your personal assistant. The atmosphere is wonderful with starched table linen and subdued lighting. The food is well prepared, however, there is too much salt on the steak seasoning. Make sure someone orders the 32 oz pork chop, as the table carving is exceptional. The banana Foster, while tasty, is pre-staged, so the flame prepared at the table experience is too brief.

This past Saturday we celebrated a Housewarming/College Reunion of 3 sisterfriends and Natalie made sure we were so taken care of. I made the mistake and didnt realize I booked my reservation in the Domain location but that didnt stop the Downtown staff from immediately accommodating our party even though it was my oversight on a busy Saturday night. As for Natalie, From the recommendation of the amazing featured cocktail- The Bubbly Buble to her noticing fine details down to informing me of changes with the menu specifically the Mini Martini trio which made a huge difference in our night. She was an all-star and even though the night was packed she still made us feel like we were a priority. Our food was fantastic, service unbeatable and made for the beginning to a perfect reunion evening amongst close friends. Thanks so much Natalie and staff for ensuring we enjoyed our night. Breaking into my leftovers for dinner tonight. -Dominique, Mandy and Dannie

The food was amazing (though you are certainly paying for it), the ambiance was upscale and quite nice but they turned the lights down so low I could hardly see my husbands face which was overkill, and while the service was high quality our server was so overly-attentive that it actually detracted from the experience. He walked us through every. page. of the menu which was unnecessary, and stopped back so many times to check on how we were doing (I swear at one point it was 3 times in 15 minutes) that I was distracted from just eating my food! Also his suggestions were very general, oh everything is great, and not super helpful. Anyways obviously the most important part is the food, which was delicious. We ordered: Artichoke, Potato and Leek Soup- this was a seasonal item and very good; it came out lukewarm and Im not sure if that was intended, but it was delicious and unique. Escargot- amazing! The escargot was so tender and just smothered in caramelized garlic and I think bits of feta, with little circles of puff pastry over each escargot. The puff pastry was just so-so (a little chewy) but the actual escargot was great. Koji-Aged Filet Mignon- I believe this was also a seasonal item, it was fantastically tender and seasoned lightly but perfectly; I dont know that I particularly noticed a difference from the Koji but it was delicious. Chateaubriand Three Ways- also delicious; if you are looking to primarily enjoy the flavor of the steak I wouldnt recommend this as the sauces are quite rich but I really liked the variety and thought they were all great. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. Roasted Sherried Mushrooms- tasty, rich, sauteed mushrooms. The sauce was also great with a bite of steak. Chargrilled Vegetables- again very simple, but the veggies were all roasted perfectly and were delicious. I still need to try the pork chop lunch special so Ill be back! Parking note- its downtown so you can search for street parking or just shell out the $12 for valet- its less than a cocktail costs.

Came here for the second time. I had the fillet mignon and bacon strip as well as a steak and soup. The total came to $180 before the tip, and I also had a cappuccino. The food was good, but might not be worth the price. This seems a bit pricey to be honest for the quality of the food and the portions I received. I know of many steakhouses with similar quality but that are much less expensive. I would recommend looking at other options if you re on a budget. Service was good however, although the first time I came here it seems like the waiter was listening in to my conversations.

I am a return customer at multiple locations for Perry s steakhouse. However, I have to discuss the amazing journey I was able to be a part of. Our server, Brian, was absolutely the greatest. We started the evening with a blind taste comparison to observe the differences between old world and new world wines. Brian is a true sommelier and helped coach us on multiple differences and provided amazing examples of each. He then provided perfect recommendations to pair the wine with for our meal choices. Perry s is always amazing food, but the pairings were better than any experience I ve had previously. At the end of the meal, Brian brought amazing desserts (my favorite is the beautiful cheesecake in the photo) along with a delicious dessert wine. BUT, to finish the evening, Brian brought an extremely rare bottle of Grand Marnier for us to sample. Brian s excitement for us to experience this was absolutely infectious and made the entire meal something I will always cherish. THANK YOU!!!!

Our bill was almost $600 for 4 people. Each of us ordered an appetizer and an entree. I added 3 scallops with my entree at $6 a piece. I figured they would be a decent size for the price. They were honestly about a quarter inch wide when they came out, some of the smallest scallops I have ever seen. Not one time did our server ask how our food was until we told him we were ready for the bill. I imagine they avoid asking because they are aware. We gave him honest feedback, soups were cold, caesar salad was $16 and the size of a side salad, and worst of all $6 per scallops that were smaller than oysters. The server apologized and said he would like to at least remove the scallops he even noticed they were very small (but hoped we wouldn t notice) first he needed to check with his manager. Came back and said Lance Bourque the general manager denied his request to remove them off the bill. That was really one of the rudest things we have ever encountered in a restaurant especially when we spent nearly $600. We would have just given an extra $18 to the server but instead of doing a nice gesture they chose to lose returning customers and the respect of that employee. Aside from the ignorance of the staff the food was 100% not worth the price when you compare them to even other restaurants they own. Carve is 100% times better than Perrys (price and quality) and we go there a lot but I imagine we wont go back because obviously the owner does not care or bother to train the staff. If you are looking for a nice dinner downtown head to Trulucks for amazing seafood or Eddie Vs and or Capital Grill if you want a great steak. There are countless better options in downtown Austin that are less expensive and 10x the quality of food and service.

Briefed with everything is bigger in Texas, we noticed portion sizes were the same to what weve had at similar steakhouses all across the US. Told by wait staff we had ordered, a lot of food. Just was unnecessary. Food was amazing.

Wow. First time eating at Perrys and the hype was well earned. The Cowboy ribeye, the surf and turf, the filets--were all cooked to perfection. Our server, Evan, was well trained and took amazing care of us. The creme brulee and the orange cheesecake topped off a fabulous meal. Very satisfied and will be back.

First off I want to say that I have never eaten at Perrys and was looking forward to the meal. Unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences Ive had at a restaurant here in Austin. I have also previously worked in the service industry for over twenty years so I am no stranger to the business. Tuesday May 14, 2024 we had tickets at the Paramount to see a show so we made reservations at Perrys for 6:30. We knew we were only going to order apps and drinks seeing as we didnt want to over eat. We arrived on time. We were not sat for over 10 minutes, no big deal. The problems came once we were sat. The restaurant is beautiful. I was very excited to eat there. I had gone to the gym in anticipation of all the yummy foods. It was extremely busy for a Tuesday but seeing as we were ordering appetizers we figured we would have plenty of time. Our server greeted us after about 10 minutes, we ordered drinks and the calamari. It took almost 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Still no calamari which is a quick cook. We ordered a salad and sliders once our drinks arrived. All of these things take very little time to prepare, or so we thought. After almost 40 minutes we received our salad. None of the other apps. We had also ordered 2 more drinks thinking okay its all going to come out at once, we eat and go. No, not the case. After almost an hour and a half we had to go. No food, except for a salad and only one round of drinks were had. AN HOUR AND A HALF!!! I asked for the manager, which we never do, but this was ridiculous. The manager who was sent to speak to us was probably 24 at best. I was pissed at this point. She didnt care. It was obvious. No Im sorry or anything. We were not happy. They comped our 2 drinks and the salad we barely had time to eat. We were there for an hour and a half and no food thus the no stars for good because we never got to try it. I left the server some cash, because it probably wasnt her fault. TOTAL AND COMPETE DISAPPOINTMENT. GET IT TOGETHER. IT WAS A TUESDAY!!!

We loved our food. It was incredible. But it was our 4 year anniversary dinner and we were told we were gifted a desert for our celebration. We asked for it to go, and were so disappointed to see we never were given the desert. Of course, this was generous of the restaurant, however we would have happily paid or our dessert to go if we knew we could get it.

I have to start this off with, I m a Vegan who went to a steakhouse. I get it, don t make sense, but they had amazing vegan options, the vegan steak was great! I ordered it twice. I m vegan my fiancé is not. Because she loves steak, I was actually prepared to just drink an watch her eat then go to a vegan spot afterwards. It was amazing me & my lady went there for our anniversary they had rose pedals on the table. WILLAM OUR SEVER WAS AMAZING!!! VERY CONSIDERATE OF MY DIET AS WELL AS THE MANAGERS!!! They all Warned me and did all they could to help my lady and I. It was amazing service, the other servers all helped each other as well-all hands out & all hands in. It was great service! The bar tender Sam made me a special drink off menu with Gin! It was great! My only complaint would be, MORE VEGAN OPTIONS . But then again . It s a steakhouse in Texas. Just be happy you get a few! The one I tried was amazing. Over all best Austin restaurant I ve been to so far. Whole staff was great! Who ever runs this place needs to give em all a raise!

I have very mixed feelings about my visit here. The service was very slow. We didn t get bread until after we finished our appetizers. The appetizers came out before our drinks arrived. The Jameson Mocha Old Fashioned left a lot to be desired, but the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini was legit fantastic. Probably the best espresso martini I have ever had! We had the pork chop bites, which were fantastic, but the crab cakes were clearly not fresh but came frozen. They were barely warm and tasted like frozen fish sticks. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, and desert was delicious. Overall an ok restaurant, but I expected better for the price. I ve had better experiences at Longhorn, to be honest.

We wanted a great steak during our visit to Austin (from Australia) and boy howdy that s what we got! First off - our waiter Phil was wonderful. Attentive, sweet, and personable. The bread with whipped butter was a good start for what was to come. We then ordered the pork chop bites for a starter (tasty), then the premium rib eye (melt in the mouth) creamed spinach and chargrilled vegetables (great accompaniments) and for dessert: the crème brûlée to share - creamy and and perfectly crispy shell. It was definitely a bit more expensive than we would normally splurge on, but well worth it for a once off experience with great food and service!

Very mixed bag at Perrys steak house. Ultimately, walked away disappointed. Our table of 4 arrived at 8:20 for our 8:30 reservation. The indoor and outdoor waiting areas were packed with people waiting to be seated so I was not surprised to find out they were running a little behind. 40 minutes later their were only about 10 people waiting so I went to enquire how much longer and was told it shouldnt be much longer. A group of 4 men then came in laughing, having a fun night. They chit-chatted with the white female hostess with brown hair and were given a table immediately. When I went up and asked why 4 people can walk in and get a table right away when we had been waiting so long I was told they were a table of 5 which they had available. 10 minutes later our name was called and we were escorted to our table walking right past the table of 4 guys sitting at a lovely booth in the main dining area. Meanwhile, we were escorted to the drab, sparsely decorated overflow room. After that things picked up.The cocktails were tasty, the bread warm, the butter soft, steaks all cooked as asked and flavorful. A little over the top on the bacon on the potatoes. Server Joshua was top notch personable, efficient, made good recommendations without up-selling. Only caveat is he asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. We told him yes, we had come from the UT Honors day where my daughter was acknowledged as a distinguished scholar. With a $400 tab rung up and being sat 50 minutes late, a free dessert for a special occasion would have gone a long way. I would suggest not asking if its a special event if youre not going acknowledge it. So, great food. Atmosphere looked nice in the main room, but not where we were seated. Hostess made us feel like the unwanted frat pledges in Animal House. Also, seemed suspicious that later that night my reservation on OpenTable was cancelled at 3:12 AM, so I could not write a review there.

Reservation for six people. We were greeted and quickly seated at a nice booth table. Our waiter, John, served us and I would like to think that he was having an off day. We ordered drinks to start our night and immediately we could sense an attitude from him as if our questions were bothering him. Once we placed our orders, he was MIA from our table. We had to call other waiter/waitress walking by to get refill of our waters. Drinks took a while so did the lobster bisque and other starters we ordered. They all arrived like minutes before main entrees arrived. Food was average, drinks were not extraordinary and the service less than mediocre. So many other restaurants in the area with so much to offer for less. I will not consider it or recommend as a restaurant with the standards expected for any type of celebrations.

We recently celebrated a small wedding reception in the Capital Room at the Perrys Steakhouse in Downtown Austin. We had a wonderful celebration and the staff at Perrys accommodated all our requests making the event special and the entire evening was flawlessly executed! The event coordinator, Kim Silvert, was very professional and nice to work with. She guided us through the entire process from menu planning, selecting drinks for a customized bar menu and helping to design a flexible timetable to allow for all the wedding reception activities making the evening stress-free and fun. We were also allowed to set-up decorations, centerpieces, video equipment earlier in the day to create a pretty wedding atmosphere. The hors-d oeuvres were tasty and beautifully presented, the dinner was delicious and had choices to please everyone, and the staff lead by Myka were all outstanding. I would highly recommend this Perry s for any special occasion.

Our waiters were excellent with customer service. They were attentive and friendly. The steak described as the best marbled cut. Our was dry, tough, very expensive for poor quality. I had better steak at Costco. The lobster tails even worse, it definitely not fresh - dry lobster over seasoned with too many things. We had brussel sprouts was good, well seasoned and good portion. Over all, I think we got cheated in the cut if our steak and our main course was not worth the over priced.

Great atmosphere, OK food, weird service. Appetizers, Caesar salads, & desserts were excellent. Steam was cooked perfectly but significantly over seasoned to the point most people on our party were scraping off the crust of their steak before eating. The lobster tail I added to my steak was overcooked to the point of being rubber. Sides were just OK, nothing special. Our server (Garrett) started with Hello, you all obviously havent been here before so let me tell you about Perrys. I have no idea the intent of this comment but it wasnt received well. He then continued for the entire evening with a weird forced aristocrat/formal accent thing that was just plain weird. Overall decent meal but I would try another steakhouse in the area before returning.
