I have a special needs adult son, and she counseled me on the best set-up for him in the event of my death. She answered all my questions and made herself available to address any follow-up questions. When I came into sign the paperwork, Stephanie (I believe her title is director of first impressions) was welcoming and helpful. It turns out she is from Poughkeepsie, just like me! A few days before our free consultation, they emailed us with our appointment (date and time) their address with detailed directions and FREE parking..etc. When we arrived, we were treated like family from beginning to the end. Theres a long story behind my situation. Texas Trust Law comes in at the point where Im looking for guidance, a little compassion, and a lot of knowledge. Everyone I spoke to, Kristy and Cindy, and the attorney they spoke with, I believe her name is Anne, have been more than helpful. Im visually impaired, and this didnt put them off at all. They were warm, friendly, and not at all patronizing or condescending even though my knowledge of these things is scant at best. A lot of people Ive spoken to at other places gave me the impression that I was mismanaging things and that I really ought to have known better ... somehow. They were up front with their fees, which I very much appreciate as someone who isnt made of money. My situation is far from standard, and I didnt feel like that was a problem here. Texas Trust Law is the Lexus (high quality and luxury) of will and trusts. They have a huge standardized body of literally everything. Health care, a huge dependent care section, guardians, financial trustees. They will put all your assets into trusts for you which is a huge pain. They meet with you every year to update your trusts (new accounts, new assets, new guardians etc). They also update your trust on a 3 year cycle to take into account the most recent cases. The hardest part of a trust is taking the time to keep things updated. TTL takes care of that. As I said they are not the company get gives you a $500 will and trust.

Brad helped my parents to set up their revocable trust in 2010. They passed away, six days apart, in 2012. Updating our Will was a very pleasant, thorough and overwhelming process and we feel very secure in what will happen when we are gone! We have known the attorney we used, Rob Hugos, for over 20 years so going to Austin from Houston to sign our Will was not an issue. He drafted our first Will so of course he would handle the updated documents. The Firm is very thoughtful to not only give us a paper copy of the documents but we also have a thumb drive with all the documents. The team was thorough to say the least. I did not really have an understanding of what the trust would allow me to do. Nor was my wife clear about items in her will. Will be back with some revisions but because I was not clear on what the trust could do for me. Now that i have rethought the bequests, I will move forward with some changes.
