Room is infested with roaches, we checked in at 130AM after a long drive and left this hotel about 3:30AM. Roaches on bed on nightstand just plain gross. We went down to the lobby and told him about it he didn t seem to care printed our receipt and told us to have a good morning. No reimbursement nothing. I love LaQuinta s but don t think I will ever stay at another one.

I would not recommend staying at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston/Clear Lake-NASA. The room smelled old and musty as the air conditioners didnt work. The cable service didnt work well - spotty at best. After being bitten on my legs and arms by what I think might have been fleas - we left! We were staying there while our home/kitchen was being repaired but we had enough!

Rooms are infested with roaches. I have stayed at motels that are only $35 a night with rooms cleaner than this. $215 for 2 days and can t even trust sleeping worried about bugs crawling on me. Not only did I spend hours on the phone trying to get compensation but decided to move rooms because I couldn t afford to go to a hotel so they switched me rooms and this room has roaches too. I m going to be expecting a full refund or I will be contacting the BBB and the health department

We stay at this hotel (La Quinta Bay Area Blvd, Webster Tx) several times each year, for multiple days each visit. Unfortunately, our recent stay will be our last time. First, this rating and review has nothing to do with the concierge staff. They were kind and accommodating to the best of their ability. Issue #1: the homeless people the hotel was full of them. While I understand people need shelter, it should be policed better and paying guests should be aware and have the option to participate or not. I assume a local community resource help agency pays for them to stay here. If you don t get to the dinning area early, it is inundated with kids and they are LOUD. You could also hear adults and kids screaming all night long. The amount of people roaming the halls and common areas in only shorts/pants (or less!) was surprising. Additionally, they hang out around the building, both inside and outside, smoking whatever with music blaring. It s simply does not feel safe. Unless you enjoy the smell of skunk-weed, it s irritating to smell it everywhere - elevator, hallways, stairwells it s disgusting. We could not use the pool because 4-5 homeless men smoking dope took it over. Additionally, several times during our stay, we encountered men walking the halls, openly drinking beer. It s not a party hub it s a place for paying guests to rest and relax. Issue #2: the rooms hockers on the carpet, throw-up/semen/or Lord knows what all over the couch. The tub did not drain adequately, leaving dirty water to cover your feet. The caulking around the tub was peeling off and/or moldy. The basic cleanliness of the room was just not there. Looks like the maids make the beds and refresh the towels and that s it! Our door did not shut all the way or lock - we packed up our belongings each time we left so they didn t come up missing. We did ask about changing rooms, but the hotel was supposedly booked. The lobby is the least important aspect of a hotel to me, but I will mention the missing couch and chair cushions here because it looks bad. The overall smell of the hotel is rancid. As my son said, smells like butt-crack and he s not wrong. Issue #3: ROACHES they own the building. Roaches freely roam in the halls and rooms. While checking in, a couple tried to change rooms because their room had roaches, but they were told sorry we re full! they left in the 3 yrs we have been staying here, I ve never seen roaches, so seeing them this stay was shocking (but not surprising given the type of people living here). Wouldn t surprise me if bed bugs were here too Issue #4: Cost we paid $199 a night this stay, and we even used our points and military discount. November 2023 we paid $110 after taxes and everything there are many, many new hotels in the area that cost less and that don t house homeless people - they will get my money next visit. Issue #5: people stand outside the entry doors and smoke Cigarette butts litter the outside of the hotel. At least make a smoking area that can be kept clean and away from the entry doors. It stinks and looks trashy. Overall, I m disappointed. Whatever has happened to this hotel is sad. Enjoy the photos of what you could potentially be getting if/when you stay here. Safety: Nope safety is subpar and questionable. People roaming the hotel at all hours of the day/night

Chose due to location and proximity to shopping for one night before setting off on my cruise. Check-in was easy, staff was very friendly. The biggest con and reason for low rating hotel RUNS HOT! Lobby is hot as soon as you enter, then entering my rooms it was so hot the hallway felt cooler. hotel needs to invest a huge amount into AC s. I had my AC on below 65 and not once did I feel cool enough to be under covers. Also a slight smell coming from AC. I dealt with it for the night but won t be returning anytime soon.

I don t ask much in a hotel. I don t even care about breakfast, but the bare minimum that I ask is for it to be clean. Why do so many hotels nowadays make the bed, but ignore the fecal matter on the bottom of the toilet? Or how about the smell of mold because you haven t changed the shower curtain since before the revolutionary war? I refused to get in the pool/hot tub because of the black grime on the tile. $100 bucks a night won t get you far these days, but I would hope that it would at least get you a clean place to sleep.

This hotel is extremely nice. I booked the Executive Room. The room was spacious and decently laid out. The way that the hotel is right not it isnt great for business travelers and some leasure travel. The couch that is in the room is basically useless unless someone is sleeping on it. There is a case where a TV could be placed, yet there isnt one there. The TV is across from the bed it the typical location. By not having a second TV on that side, about a third of the room is wasted. I did like the location of the desk but could see it causing issues if you do a lot of business in your room. The office chair was old, and the pneumatic cylinder was broken, so I only had one choice that lasted longer than 2 minutes. The bed was extremely soft. Its a little too soft for me but still very comfortable. The bedding that is used was also comfortable and didnt seem to be from the 80s. The breakfast was typical of what you would find at this their of hotel with a few additions. There was a small crock of gravy for the biscuits and hard-boiled eggs that they actually hard boiled since they were still in the shell. I was extremely impressed with this hotel. There are a few places where there are broken/damaged items. They have a few places that could improve. Though which hotel doesnt? I would stay at this hotel again without batting an eye. Rooms: The room I stayed in was spacious and decently furnished. If you want to get details, read my review.

I had to check out at 1:30am and Uber a ride home, due to the A/C not cooling, the funky old smell, my toilet would not flush and after seeing 2 large cockroches.....I was out. I told the front desk. But, Id already stayed in the room for 5 hours, so they just said to call the manager to get a credit or something. But, I just got busy and didnt have it in me to complain about anything. This is a LaQuinta in a great area of town, you all should take better care of this property. Only thing good out of this experience was the female concierge that was there around 6-7pm. She was delightful.

Checked in late, staff was accommodating and prompt. In the room, the bathroom hasn t been fully cleaned, and our bedsheets and blankets were wet. We got there at 1:00 AM so we didn t complain, just slept on top of the blankets. Not what I would normally expect from La Quinta though. They did have a breakfast buffet, though smaller than other La Quintas we have stayed at. No eggs, no bacon, or oatmeal. Only had biscuits & gravy with sausage and the normal cereal, pastries, and yogurt. Wouldn t deter me from staying again, but not on par with our normal experiences at La Quinta Food and drinks: Quick drive to NASA, lots of food and grocery options nearby and mostly within walking distance.

I stayed at this hotel back in March/April (2023) for two week bc my mother was in the ICU at the HCA hospital nearby. I can t say enough good things about my stay there. I ve shared a pros/cons list in case it helps someone else. Pros This hotel seemed more like it fell between a 3-4 star hotel. I was surprised to see it listed as a 2 star hotel online. This hotel always seemed very clean (I wish they had cleaning service every day - but everything still was clean). I had to stay alone and always felt very safe here. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I ve had - mainly bc of the variety of the food/beverages they provided - you ll love their buffet if you enjoy country breakfasts. Their staff was friendly and helpful, especially Amit and his wife. There is a shopping strip in front of this hotel which has some chain restaurants within easy walking distance. My mom died while I was still staying at this hotel - in my rush to get to the hospital, I accidentally packed their hair dryer - they didn t charge me for it. I m pretty sure this was bc as I was checking out I mentioned that my mother had passed away that morning. I thought it was kind of them not worry me with this during such a difficult time. This hotel was very quiet during my stay - I was there only from later evenings until earlier in the mornings. The rate was very reasonable for the quality - usually about $100 a night). Cons Daily cleaning service for multiple night bookings wasn t provided. I think they cleaned every 3rd day. Towels were always available if needed. The elevator smelled like marijuana my first night there. The elevator was slowwwww... But worked fine otherwise.

It was our first time staying here. I needed a large room for my family. We picked this La quinta since it had an indoor pool. It was gonna be cold and rainy so I wanted that for my kids. The front desk lady was so nice, friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. The room we got was a 2 room suite. 1 room had the king bed and tv. The other room had the 2 queens beds, tv, small table, mini fridge and 2 chairs. I was hoping it had a sofa like sitting area. There wasn t even places to sit other than the beds. So when we ate, we had to sit on the beds or stand. The rooms were large enough to have sitting area. There was so much wasted space. There was hardly no lighting in the room. One closet had no lights in it or near it. We had to use our phone flash light to see. The ac took forever to cool down. The beds were great. Place was clean. But things were broken and falling apart. They are doing a limited cleaning, pool and breakfast area. Meaning they aren t gonna clean your room while your there. Which is fine by me, I clean up after us anyways. We just kept having to go to the front desk for new towels and for pool towels cause there s none out. The pool area is okay. The pool looked green and needed to be cleaned. The hot tub looked cleaned but was broken. Breakfast is from 7am-9am everyday. The breakfast was bad. I thought it would of been better since other La quintas we ve been too have had great food. Every morning it was the same thing. Biscuits, sausage, hard boiled eggs (which were grey when you cut them open), gravy for the biscuits, very few yogurt and oatmeal, some bagels but no cream cheese or spreads for it, some tiny cinnamon rolls that were hard and tasted old, waffles. On the first morning they ran out of biscuits at 7:15 when breakfast started at 7am. On the second morning we tried the breakfast again. But the sausages were not fully cooked. My son got very sick from that. he was sick all day long til the next day. On the same day we made waffles but they wouldn t cooked right. It turns out it was the last of the batter and they keep the batter out all day til the next day. They only refill it and put it back out. I did make another waffle with new batter and it tasted a lot better. We didn t eat here after that. I didn t want any of my other kids to get sick again. Also there was no fresh fruits. Most hotels have apples, bananas, oranges. Nope not here. The guy running the breakfast was friendly and nice though. Over all I would not stay here again. I would give it less stars but I gave 3 for the staff since they were all great.

We stayed two nights. The hotel has nice contemporary decor. Room was spacious. Bathroom was unappealing. It needed dusting, had minimal toiletries and low quality tissue and toilet paper. Beds are very uncomfortable. Queen six is more like full size. On the first morning I woke up with bug bites. Hallways were dirty and had a musty odor. Elevators are tiny and look torn down. Immediately coming out of the elevator the roof was leaking. We had breakfast on the second day. Menu was hard boiled eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, oatmeal waffles. Coffee tastes like instant coffee. Unfortunately I was expecting more out of this hotel. We paid $125+/- per night Do not recommend if you want a great experience.

Not impressed by the LaQuinta brand at all right now. Have been a member for years because there was no charge or hassle for pets! The chain is no longer the go to brand for this service. Some are not even taking pets and all are charging fees. The experience at Clear Lake was made inconvenient for guests and this is unfortunate.

Bed bugs!!! I had my 3 young daughters with me and went to sleep only to find there were bed begs crawling on me at almost midnight. I went downstairs, complained and was given an adjacent room despite my request for something farther away. Moved my girls while they were still sleeping after checking for bugs in the new room.. then guess what at 2 am I felt it again, bed bugs in our beds. Absolutely ridiculous, beyond the bed bug issues which some may say are possibly brought in, this place was out of pillows, smells like mold and the tub just ran all night. Worst experience with La Quinta ever!!!

When i went to tell the front desk that the room was horrible and told her what i found she said since we were there longer than an hour that she couldnt refund us but she could check us out. And if i wanted a refund i would have to wait till the next morning and talk to the manager to see if they would do a refund.

Gotta update my review... they still only clean your room every 3 days. Trash piles up, no coffee in the room after youve used it all, beds should to be made. Breakfast sucks... fyi, nobody wants hard-boiled eggs. The cable kept glitching, no storms in the area. They turn the ac in the rooms way up and they take forever to cool down when you check in. Consider running your facility like all other Wyndham properties... it should be a much better experience. Oh and take care of the mold in your rooms btw.

Checked in on a Saturday morning with my family. We were put in a room on the 1st floor. Immediately upon entering the room, we smelled a mildew from old wet carpet. We let the receptionist know and was put in a room on the 2nd floor. To our avail, we encountered the same issue along with a dirty room and beds that sinks in when you sit on it. I wouldnt recommend staying in this hotel. We had activities planned for the day and didnt want to spend anymore time searching for rooms. If I could have rated this hotel 0 star I would have. Most certainly wasnt worth $150. This is an old hotel that was renovated with old furnishing. Stay away

So we call front desk that person told him they only have sack grab and go. We will avoid this hotel in future. Bad experience since we travel 365 days a year we know bad run hotel when we see it.

Understatement to say the stay was not worth the price. I was trying to treat myself with a staycation but it was more hassle then it was worth. We booked a night here for a doctors appointment we had Monday Jan 17. Got to our room Sunday around 3pm everything looked good over all clean, they could of did a better job cleaning around the mini refrigerator as there was dirt and a lot of food pieces next to it. We went to meet friends for dinner and then when we got back to our room we got cleaned up when my youngest got in bed within moments she had a roach next to her! Once she moved a handful more appeared on the side of the bed!!! Went to the front desk asked the lady for a refund as we were checking out! She asked if I took a picture of it I said yes showed it to her. She refunded us for our room but not our pet deposit ($20). The lady at the front desk said they would spray that room in the morning but that didn t help us get a good night rest.

Unfortunately I am not the only one who seems to have been disappointed by this hotel. So here goes. If you want a hot breakfast or coffee in the morning, dont stay here. We recieved breakfast bags in the morning - (a diabetes bag basically) - sugar packed muffins, sugar packed applesauce and a sugar packed granola bar all stuffed into a brown paper bag of which you have to ask for permission for at the front desk. I couldnt decide if I was in jail or in kindergarten. Seems like the owners are too cheap to provide a real hot breakfast like the other La Quinta hotels weve stayed at and are using the classic CVD19 excuse as reasoning. They also tried to give us a hard time at check in about dog weight restrictions even though they confirmed dogs are OK over the phone. For $100 bucks a night it was quite disappointing. There are other comparable, nice hotels right next door to this one, I suggest reading some reviews first before booking here.
