Over all this place isn t bad. Our drinks were good and our app was good. Just highly disappointed because we came here for brunch and were told they don t serve it at this location. Huge missed opportunity on the brass taps part. Clearly we weren t the first ones to ask about the brunch menu. Our servers face said it all

First time at this location. Bartender was very nice and although alone and also waiting on tables was very attentive. Margarita flight as well as the beer flight were great. Only issues were overall cleanliness (tables, door to the patio) and environmentals. For example, inside AC was way too cold and the outside the flies were ridiculous. Would of helped to have those table top fly fans or some kind of pest control. Patio sofas were really comfortable but the accompanying tables were too tall.

After reading a few mixed reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Middle of the afternoon on a college football Saturday, they had half the TVs set to a rerun of an NFL game instead. The bartender at the bar was trying to keep up with the drink orders, but she was alone. There was one waitress working the tables. The place was only 1/3rd full at best. We got our first drinks relatively quick and ordered the chips and trio dip. 30 minutes later I asked the waitress for another drink and about our chips. She advised the kitchen only had 1 cook so all food orders took about an hour. Including just chips and dip. The chips finally came out about 20 minutes later, but this time I was still waiting on my drink. A 2nd bartender showed up and finally got my drink. Originally my wife had ordered a flight of margaritas, which was supposed to included a pineapple margarita. She felt bad asking the single bartender why it wasnt in the flight, but finally did. Their response was they were out of pineapple so they just made one with strawberry without asking. When my wife commented that she didnt like the strawberry, they just said they were out of pineapple. No apology or concession. Now we were on to finally eating the log awaited chips and dip. Salsa and Queso were ok, guacamole was really sour. Neither of us could eat it. I pushed the guacamole tray to the side and the bartender just watched me do it, shrugged and walked off. At this point there was no chance we were ordering more and staying to watching the rest of the game. Right as we were going to ask for the check, the bartender told the new people who sat down next to us that the kitchen stopped taking food orders because they are too far behind. So they could only get drinks. They got up and left. Oh and I almost forgot, about midway through our hour there, the waitress started telling people they were out of all chicken items. Maybe this place will get better with time, but for now, I would avoid it.

Sadly, we were a little disappointed after being very excited to try, but might give it another shot. We had ordered two burgers and fish tacos and we ordered the Mac/cheese balls appetizer. The first burger (BBQ burger) came out solo. We had to wait a while for the second burger to come out. In all fairness, we were expecting that second burger a little later because it ordered after everything else was. The appetizer arrived when the 2nd burger came out. It was then quite a while before the fish tacos finally arrived. The food wasn t terrible, but the timing was. Fish tacos could definitely use WAY more flavor. They were incredibly bland, and the salsa that it was served with had zero flavor. Mac & cheese bites were okay but they tasted frozen and then fried. The barbecue burger was actually very tasty. It was crowded because there was a Texas game on and a UFC fight. That might ve had something to do with it and nowadays there is always something going wrong in the kitchen because of staff issues. Nonetheless, kitchen timing wasn t great. May give it another shot, but might just use TBT as a place to have some drinks while watching a game instead of a meal.

Confusing experience as we were really excited to come here, been looking forward to getting off work all day. Place was decently busy but not out of control, yet it took over an hour to get our appetizer & food was 15 minutes behind that. Everything tastes good and the drinks are great but they really need to anticipate people ordering food and staff the kitchen more adequately. Only reason were giving a four is because of Hayden doing his best and we appreciate him! Highchairs would also be appreciated. We will definitely be back cause it was really good if not for the wait

We were super excited to try this out based on the reviews. 8:30 on a Saturday night and the patio was packed which was a good sign! However n the patio was packed because they had an Austin style DJ BLARING music. He was loud, we couldn t hear our waitress tell us we could sit where we want. And at some point he turned it up MORE! We were excited for the patio, food, and service everyone was raving about. We had to leave because it was so loud and everyone was on the patio so it was full. There inside was literally empty. Highly recommend eliminating this feature. It gives club vibes, not tap House. Hopefully we can try again I the future but without the DJ

ETA: Good lord, this place has a lot of brass, but very little tap. Back a week later, and despite they re proclamations that their draught beer selections are always current , the bartender said they were out of quite a few IPAs , and the Chasing Broncos was still not in stock, a week after my initial review. The brewery is like what? 25 miles away? 30? A couple sitting next to me wanted a wine they had bought before, and guess what? Out of stock, and the bartender said they hadn t gotten any more, after the stock ran out. At this point, the beer fridge in my garage has a better selection of IPAs, it s MUCH cheaper, and very predictable. I won t be back to this disappointment. btw, It looks like they are loading up the good reviews here now ~~~~~~~~~~~ Original review: Had to drop a star after today, which was my fifth visit. Chasing Broncos? Out. Lone Pint? Out. Lagunitas? Out. Hard to call yourselves a tap room, when the taps are dead. But we have Jellyfish! Yeah, so does every other place in town, including Pinthouse, where it s cheaper and fresher. Should a person not stop in mid-week? Or should the person ordering beer step it up?

Now that this place has been open for a few weeks and I ve visited a few times, I feel qualified to leave a honest and fair review. The draft beer selection is terrific. They must have close to 50 taps (and they are actually brass). They have local stuff from Pinthousr, 512 and Red Horn. Also not-so-local stuff like Jai Lai, Stone and Dogfish Head. What I ve tried of the food has been great. The chicken wings are great, along with the chicken strips. The sauces and rubs are really good. The Nashville hot is hotter than you might expect, in a good way. And the bbq sauce has this awesome smokey flavor. The service is great and everyone is really attentive. It seems like everyone here helps each other out and they are willing to take care of you. This part of Leander is in dire need of some quality restaurants/bars and brass tap has been a great addition!

Checked it out as a local business. If you want an amazing and cozy place during the early day hours. Our bartender/server, Alisa, was off the charts amazing. She made great drinks and checked up on us at regular intervals. She visited with us and was so welcoming. So nice to have this gem in the area!!! If you re looking for over priced mediocrity, this is your place! This is a bar with crappy bar food at a gastro pub price. Service was terrible, our waitress was nice, but knew nothing about the menu. The hostess was rude, as soon as we walked in she looked up and said first come first serve then looked back down at what she was doing. Um, yes, all restaurants are, I think she meant seat yourself. So we sat an open table and they have one dingy menu for everyone to share, don t worry, we had ample time to read the menu because the whole staff was standing around at the food window talking, no one came for our drink order for at least 10 minutes. It wasn t busy either, half the place was empty, we stopped on our way home at 4 pm on a Saturday. I was asked how I would like my burger and I was stoked that I could order it medium, not sure why I was asked since it came grey and well done. All our food came out 5 minutes apart and of course our daughter s food came out last and so hot she could t eat it for another 5 minutes. Which is bizarre because the rest of the food for us adults was room temp. The chicken tenders were pretty good, but a lot of the chicken was inedible because it was so stringy and chewy. My husband s beer was good. All of our food was meh. Definitely won t be coming back, there s plenty of great bars/gastro pubs with a lot better food for a better or equal price.

Dont go to this location yet. I dont even know where to start. Waited 15 minutes to get a menu....waited even longer to order. Waited 25 min to get a ranch for the fried green beans. The barback girl decided to argue with my other half about how it has to be rung in for the ranch....ok well we asked for it 20 min ago after trying to flag someone down forever. She never got it for us and refused to come back around. Waited for drink refills for 20 min. I know its a new place but we own a bar down the road and its unacceptable. Yall, this is a great spot to eat, drink, and watch some sports. I will say that when its busy, it feels a little tight on space inside. However, it has a super cute patio. We ordered fried pickle chips, which were a little too salty. I had the strawberry basil mule, which was phenomenal. My SO had a draft beer, and there are plenty to choose from. Decided to try the new Brass Tap in Leander on Friday, August 9th. We got there at 6:45 and it was packed. We ordered drinks and wings and a chicken sandwich. At 8:20 they finally brought out my husband s food but not mine. My husband spoke to the manager who wanted to explain their system . The poor girl next to us waited an hour for a salad, with no protein Our server, Jacob, was great (this review doesn t reflect on him). I understand being a new establishment and needing to work out the kinks, but this was pretty awful. Under staffed, unprepared, not organized. Get your act together Brass Tap, so we can enjoy our Friday date night!

Fun bar, bad food. The worst fish and chips I ve had in a long time. Mostly oil soaked batter around small bits of fish. The waitress who brought our food thought they were chicken tenders and I don t blame her because they looked like 3 McDonalds nuggets. Everything that came out of the fryer was really greasy and bland. Burger tasted like a dirty flat top, bacon was limp but the bun was good. 3 stars for beer selection and good service. BrassTap is a great spot for beer and delicious food. I visited last night for a few beers and wings, and I was impressed. The food was good, and the beer choices were fantastic, with such a variety to choose from. The staff is friendly and easy to talk with if you need anything. The space is well-designed, giving you enough room between tables and chairs. With plenty of TVs inside and out, theres always something to watch. If you are on the lookout for a good sports bar I would highly recommend this place. No matter where you sit you could see the TV. Their service is good and food is really great. I was so excited when brass tap opened nearby and we went there Sunday night to try it out. My husband is a huge fan of tater tots and when we saw in the menu we were very excited. For appetizer we had a buffalo cauliflower. It was yummy. It came with an Utah sauce and was very good. For the mains I had an avocado burger but I asked them to substitute the beef patty with impossible burger. They were really happy to do that for me. My husband had the crispy chicken sandwich. If you are vegetarian not only they have impossible burger they also have impossible tacos and nachos and veggie pizza too. All our food was really good and they have really good energetic vibe. You can see a Tv from everywhere because they have so many. I think it s really good to go see a game with your friends. They also have a huge selection of beers and other drinks.
