My first time in Arlington Tx to see the Cowboys and wanted to take my cousin and wife to join me and my family to a great meal but things did not turn out as I expected. The creamed spinach was terrible, the fried Calamari a bit chewy then to beat all you ran out of the bottle of red wine we were drinking (a real nono). The bone in rib eye was pretty good. Unfortunately we seemed to be over dressed as everyone around us were wearing shorts and sneakers.

You will not find a better restaurant in Arlington. Let s start from the beginning. As you walk through the door, you are greeted by attentive hosts and the light singing and piano music from their in house musician. You are then walked to your table where there is no wait time in getting service. You cannot go wrong with any drink made by the fabulous bartender. For dinner, my husband had the elk which was cooked to perfection chosen by his liking. I had the filet and added on a crab cake. The filet was robust with flavor and probably one of the best steaks I ve ever had. There was so much crab meat in the crab cake as well, so I highly recommend. For sides we had burgundy mushrooms which were divine, as well as the lobster mac and cheese. Let s talk about this buttery melt in your mouth lobster mac and cheese. Actually, let s not talk about it, ORDER IT. This resultant experience was life changing in so many outstanding ways. Do not pass this place up if you are ever in Arlington!

Way overpriced for a below mid dinner experience. The calamari had absolutely no taste and looked more like fish sticks. $24 for two fried crab cakes that were not good. Wedge salad was good. My wife and I split a $55 NY Strip. Priced like Bob s. Not even close to Bob s. $12 for creamed spinach that was a pile of melted cheese. Waiter was nice enough but a little condescending when my wife asked for a slightly bruised martini. Meaning, she wanted some ice chips. I ve been doing this 30 years - you mean stirred . ? What? In short, bring your wallet and don t expect to be blown away by the food in a fairly energetic room.

I cant say enough good things about Angie, Brittany, Nick, and Jennifer. I got my extended family together for a combination reunion, birthday, Christmas, and Thanksgiving celebration all at once. Angie worked with me for several months planning and coordinating the event, even coming in on a Saturday evening to check up on us.Just a wonderful person. Brittany and Nick attended our every need and request during our three course meal with good humor and professionalism. The food was outstanding, thanks to Jennifer. Everyone in our group had high praise for the venue, the people and the food at the Mercury. I highly recommend it for a group event in the Board Room, or a nice lunch or dinner in the main dining area. Thank you all from Lew and Jan Lively

It was my wife and I 28th wedding anniversary. We could have gone anywhere to spend a handsome amount on dinner. However, we chose Mercury off of a recommendation. Upon making reservations, it was clearly stated it was our anniversary dinner. Of course, I wanted nothing free, but I did want proper service with expectations. Our waitress was mediocre at best. She never asked if we wanted any drinks other than provided water. If it was not for the liquor menu being placed before us, one would have thought only water was the next options. Well, that is all we had because nothing else was offered. You would also think a smile and energy would be the tone for the atmosphere, but it was far from par. Long in short, usually there is a desert menu after the meal offered, we did not get that. All was placed before us was a check and a good bye. I promise you, I will never step foot back in that place. If I am going to spend well over 200 dollars for a meal with no drinks, I can find many other stops to do that. As you can see, they ruined my surprise dinner for my wife. Chili s would have given a better level of service than what we experienced . No knock on them, but there is just a different level of expectations.

The Calamari was phenomenal, probably the best I ve had here in DFW area, and the rest of the meal followed (steak and truffle fries). They had lots of options for drinks and they were strong and well flavored! Oh and live music was a nice touch and not overwhelming! Will definitely be back(:

What a disappointment. Went today at lunch. Party of 5 for a business lunch. Arrived with reservations at 12:15 at 1:15 no food, no water refills waitress would not make eye contact with the any of us and never checked on us. Got up to ask her about food her response We have a table of 14 ahead of you your food will be coming up shortly. No apology. 1:20 Manager came over apologized a table of 14 before us and would we like some bread! 1:30 still no food. The lack of customer service was unacceptable. We thought about getting it to go but we all needed to leave for other appointments. As we got up to leave the waitress walks into the kitchen and yells they are leaving . I realize being short staffed and things happen but the lack of customer service was simply unacceptable.

The server was exceptional although we didnt look like the typical clientel. He was tipped very well from everyone at the table because of how nice and helpful he was. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. It was the most expensive steak Ive ever eaten, but worth every penny. I recommend this to anyone traveling to the area. Plus the view from the top floor of the building is very nice too.

Well the restaurant is located in an office building. Which is very different, they should advertise that so you want be confused when you arrive. Now the restaurant is very nice beautiful view, because the restaurant is located on the 9th floor of the office building. So you can see six flags and the water park. Now let s proceed to the food. I ordered the Tuscan vegetable and white bean soup. It was bland, It wasn t good and it was just warm when he brought it to me. I also ordered the Land and sea sampler, and only the crab cake was good. And my husband ordered braised, bone and beef short ribs And the key-lime pie. Ribs wasn t good the mash potatoes tasted like Instant potatoes. food had no seasoning, mashed potatoes were horrible no butter no salt no nothing. If you like bland food with no seasoning or taste, you would love this place. I ve been to other upscale steakhouses, and this one by far is the worst when it comes to their food. now our service, it wasn t up to par. The server wasn t attentive, and it just seemed like we were inconveniencing him. I will give the atmosphere thumbs up. The food is a no the service is a no. Parking: Office building so lots of parking

Had dinner on Wednesday, Jun 5th. There were 8 of us. We were celebrating a bday. 6 out of our 8 entrees were cold. The other two were luke warm. The drinks and desserts were good. We did keep having to ask for our water to be refilled. Our waiter was super nice, I think he may have been the only waiter that night. We paid over $1100 for dinner, drinks, and dessert. We chose this place because of the rave reviews. Maybe it was an off night. We will not be back. Oh, and it automatically charged us 20% gratuity ($186+), which we knew because we had a large party. For the amount we paid for food, its shameful that the food was subpar. We did not say anything because my daughter didnt want to be embarrassed. I wish we would have went to Del Frisco, Capital Grille, or Meehans instead. Parking: Our party of 8 did valet 3 cars total. Sean was fantastic and very friendly.

Do you like the food you get served in a hospital after a surgery? If so, come eat here. Man, the onion soup was served so cold it congealed, the calamari was the worst tasting we have ever eaten, and NOTHING had flavor. The chicken was so dry that I needed to pour ranch dressing just to be capable of swallowing it. The shareable sides aren t big portions by any means. And to top it all off, not once did our waiter come check on us. Initially, he forgot my son s soda 3 times before he finally brought it and then served my son and husband before bringing my plate, around 8 minutes later. The steaks look good but have no flavor, so with no service, no flavor, and cold food, it s not worth the $400 bill by any means. And not once did the server come by and ask us how it tasted. I should have just gone to Whataburger. That at least tastes good! And if you read my reviews, 80%-90% of my reviews are good reviews. Oh yeah, and when you pull up to valet to park, the attendant advises you that although it s complimentary he works for tips. Really? As though we don t know that? Geez! It was really bad! Save your money and go eat across the street at Saltgrass instead. Actually, you re better off eating at Steak n Shake, honestly!

I wish the food quality matched the prices being charged. The calamari here is just bizarre. Another reviewer mentioned that it tastes like Burger King Chicken Fries and that is exactly correct. It even looks that way with its orange color. The cigars are really ground beef eggrolls. Nothing that interesting or impressive about it. Didn t feel like a steak tonight and tried the lobster ravioli. It was very rich and creamy and that was the entire flavor profile. Nothing else in the dish had any taste to it whether it was the mushrooms or the lobster. It was just overwhelmingly rich and creamy to a fault. Atmosphere is nice and service was attentive and professional. The food needs a complete rework. I would definitely come back here for drinks but absolutely skip the food.

I had high hopes for this place, thinking we might get a steak house in Arlington a little nicer than the Keg. Unfortunately the price point is higher but the food just doesnt match. My partner and I started with a couple of their signature cocktails that we expected to be complex and well executed but ended up being incredibly sweet like something you might get at Razzoos. I tried to go with a Manhattan after that to keep it simple, but the vermouth was the primary flavor and still didnt scratch the itch for a cocktail. For our appetizer, we ordered the ahi tuna. It came out as slices coated it sesame seeds laid flat on the plate with a pepper and a dot of sriracha and wasabi on each peice. There was a ramekin of sauce, possibly ponzu. The presentation was lackluster and something I would expect at the cheapest sushi restaurant. The tuna itself tasted fine, but the texture was chewy. This was definitely a low quality cut with no fat. My partner had a filet which came out fine, and she described it as appropriately cooked but not anything impressive. My strip steak was ordered medium rare and came out very rare. It went back to the kitchen and came out charred on the exterior, still raw in the middle, and over cooked on the edges. The manager was very apologetic and offered to start me a new steak. I didnt want to wait on a whole new one so I cut out the center third of the steak and sent it back so I could eat along with my partner while I waited for the rest of my steak. When it came out again it was slightly over cooked but I just wanted to get on with my meal so I accepted it. We had creme brulee for dessert and it was delicious and executed well. But I did order an espresso that never came. The food could be so much better with more care taken in selecting ingredients and maybe using a thermometer to cook the steaks to the correct doneness. What really saved our night was the musician on the piano. She was fantastic and played a wide variety of songs. I requested a song, she said she didnt know it but gave it a try and knocked it out of the park. Overall I think its not a place I would go back to.

The ambiance and service was really nice once we actually got to the restaurant. It s located in a really unfortunate looking corporate building so that was the first red flag that something was off. The wine list was disappointing and entirely over priced. $30 for a glass of 2020 Stag s Leap is comedic. When I saw how boring the wine by the glass list was, I decided to look at the spirits list. Also kinda meh but it was very reasonable. We ordered the calamari, mushrooms, Caesar salad, ribeye (medium), whipped potatoes and truffle parm fries. The calamari was inoffensive but forgettable. Mushrooms were solid and honestly the best thing we had, yet still just ok. Caesar had too much dressing that tasted cheap. Ribeye was scorched to oblivion and the only reason I didn t send it back was because the kitchen was slammed and it took forever to get in the first place. Whipped potatoes were dry and had like zero salt. Truffle parm fries were soggy and you could tell it was imitation truffle and it had barely any parm flakes. The vibe is really nice though for Arlington. I won t be going back ever again because of the food quality but our server was cheery and attentive. No complaints about Travis, he s really great!

This restaurant was interesting. Upon arriving, I was excited while looking at the menu. After ordering appetizers, we chose calamari and steak cigars, I was not impressed. The steak cigars are ground beef eggrolls. Mostly dry and flavorless. Calamari tasted like chicken fries from Burger King. So odd. I ordered the NY Strip, it was a large piece of steak but not a quality cut. There was a lack of flavor in the steak as well. The sides were okay, mashed potatoes were very average, Brussels were covered in some sort of cheese mixture- still not sure. It was interesting. The food took about 40 minutes to come out. Service was slow as well. Should have been checked up on more. This restaurant is posing as a 5 star restaurant with 5 star prices and I would recommend anyone else looking for a better steakhouse to spend this kind of money at.

So, I really wanted to like this place after reading all past reviews. Let s start from the good things; the view is amazing, on a nice day you have great visibility of Six Flags and beyond. The restaurant itself is nice and gives off that luxurious vibe when you come in. The member of the staff greeting customers was friendly and sat us down promptly. There was a lady performing, playing piano and signing, which was a nice touch. Ok, now onto the less positive part: there is a complimentary valet service that takes longer than parking and picking the car up yourself. The restaurant is in an old bank building, and it s not clearly signposted, so you kinda have to guess where to go. It was absolutely freezing inside, I was shivering even while wearing a fairly thick blazer, and we weren t sat under the air conditioning vents! The food was mediocre at best. The crab cakes had potential, but were too salty, and then me and my husband ordered steaks, his was nicely cooked, and mine was more well done than well done, and I asked to have it medium well. It was soft and easy to eat, but I never had a steak like that ever in my life. The creamed spinach had a thick layer of cheese on it, it was so greasy that I was unable to eat it. Our drinks didn t arrive until pretty much the main course and mine was not good at all, tasted like soap (I ordered Lavender 75). I understand it was a particularly busy evening, as Beyoncé was performing and a lot of people chose to dine there pre-concert, but the level of service and quality of food was really poor. So anybody considering this place, think twice. For the prices they charge, I would expect better. It s clear to conclude we will not be coming back.

It was not a good birthday experience . Greeted with how can I help you, not do you have a reservation or welcome? We had a reservation, but we didnt need it. The server seemed in a hurry, and there were only about 8 people in the restaurant. Blackened salmon ×2 plates tasted extremely over salted. I just picked over the fish (terrible). The server said one salmon broke in half, not a good presentation. Expected better food, service, and table placement with so few customers. There were crumbs on the floor, and tablecloth was stained. Potatoes were overcooked, and asparagus was tough! Will not return.

This is a nice restaurant with a pianist. The food tasted great. Their menu changes, so what you see online may not be available. We wanted escargot and red fish. However, they did not offer those items when we went. The service was good until the end. The waiter boxed my leftovers(1 1/2 lamb lollipos) and returned with only one. I expressed to him that I had more, and he just said oops and shrugged his shoulders. I did not make a fuss because I did not want to end the evening on a bad note. Inform the waitstaff of what you want to keep or opt to box your own food. Parking: There is free parking, but they have a valet available.

I was disappointed, never been to this restaurant for lunch. It was a special birthday for a dear friend yesterday. The seafood Tower wasnt a tower...no WOW factor...3 chips and squatty molded seafood, with minimal taste, although the pickled ginger was good. No WOW with anything until Dessert. Lobster roll was drowning in sauce. The Ceasar salad w skirt steak was acceptable at best. Our guest asked for drinks on menu and you were out, no lemonade, no sweet tea! We came for more than the view...we thought we were coming to what we had experienced in the past, an upscale restaurant with class service. People were nice, but there was missing refinement...and no WOW factor with all food...we expected very different...I get more WOW from BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse...BUT, the Desserts did save the day...she got two birthday desserts because our server was so excited about the blue berry cheesecake...she was on target...and our guest was delighted with that and the chocolate cake...both, definitely presented and tasted wonderful, both WOWs! Please get your act together...be more than the view.

If you are debating on going here or a chain restaurant, chain restaurants do not even compare. This was our second time and the first time was an absolute 5 star, unfortunately todays anniversary lunch was meh. Lets start with the food, lobster bisque unfortunately looked and tasted as if it came out of a bag or container nothing like the first time I tasted it. My husband got the meatloaf and I got the shrimp and grits, meatloaf was maybe a 2, didnt seem like it was cooked that day, shrimp and grits tasted good but the presentation was not so great. Our server, the first time was outstanding but this time (not the same person) she looked like her mind was elsewhere, water kept running out and didnt really pay too much attention on our special day. Nothing special to see here so we wont be coming back.

Edited 4/20 Give Danielle a raise. She s the reason for the change to the appropriate rating of 5 stars. After our bad experience (previous review posted below) she rectified the situation with class. Thank you! (Previous review from 4/1) Let me start off by saying this is a 5 star establishment with 5 star food and 5 star atmosphere. Plain and simple, Jaffar single handedly ruined my wife and I s anniversary dining experience. To be honest, I think he owes us dinner. Happy to elaborate on the details should the owner and/or manager want to know more, but I d be willing to bet that management already knows what I m eluding to. There s nothing I can type that can begin to capture our disappointment and how much he ruined our dinner.

Chophouse is my GO TO fine dining in Arlington. Great starters. My glass is never empty. You cannot beat the Chophouse salad though other salads are also good. They do great steak, salmon, daily specials. I have trouble getting past their lobster bisque or ravioli when its on the menu. This time we were disappointed in the lamb but not the grilling/cooking, but the actual meat. Just not as great as usual. Side benefit: we had roomfor dessert for the first time! Yummy! Flour less chocolate torte. Also cheesecake. Thanks Jaffar. Always lovely service and recommendations. Well be back again and again.

An incredible experience, it will be pricey and youll need to make a reservation, but the food and the experience will be worth it by far. Their food is excellent, their staff is professional and helpful, and they will give you a piece of cake with a nice message for an anniversary or a birthday. Not only was the cake amazing but it was honestly kind of touching that you could tell they actually cared and it wasnt just whipped up out of the blue. We both got steak but weve also had their lamb chops and they were amazing too. They also have bread they give you that was pretty amazing, and I havent even mentioned that they have someone singing and playing the piano while you eat. He said the server (Juwan- not sure if the name is spelled correctly) proceeded to rush them so bad that it was uncomfortable and he felt as if they were being profiled. At one point he came to their table with a woman with him as if they were a problem. They left and went to Steak and Shake next door to finish their evening. This type of service is not appreciated at all and whether or not you think someone is of the typical type to visit this place should not determine how you act with them.

More meat than veggies. For the meal I had Mac and cheese with lobster. The lobster was great the Mac and cheese was not good at all. It was runny cheese sauce tasted like a combo of canned cheese with Velveeta. The chocolate cake was wonderful. The server did not come by often and when asked for description of the dishes he did a horrible job Mac and cheese was described as a 2 cheese Mac and cheese you know like just Mac and cheese. Seemed confused by my asking. He ignored a few tables and kept running back to the bar. I would not recommend and I wont return either. I also sat through half My meal with no drink. Server a 1.
