Our event was a resounding success thanks to the management and staff who went the extra mile to prepare appetizers and dinner for our group. The food was freshly prepared and extremely tasty. Some dishes were added by the management to make our event extra special. The venue is exceptional with a deck overlooking the lake and water. Audio visual was included and the staff was extremely competent and caring. Their service was delivered seamlessly with a smile. Well be back for more events.

Indian Summer is absolutely wonderful. I made an order online easily for pickup, to share between my grandmother and I. When I arrived, everyone on staff who greeted me was kind, attentive, and so welcoming as I waited for my order to be finished. The food was made fresh and was all-around delicious. I d like to go back to enjoy a dinner date with my husband, because this place s interior is stunning, with thoughtfully-designed fixtures and a classy atmosphere. Highly recommend trying this place if you re in the mood for some flavorful Indian cuisine!

Lunch was South Indian thali and several of our friends commented that the food was awesome. The appetizers and North Indian buffet for the evening reception was also very well received. I would definitely use them for future events. Vegetarian options: Several delicious vegetarian options available.

My wife and I worked with the management of this place to cater for several events during our wedding weekend last month (March 2023). Overall we were extremely DISAPPOINTED with the hospitality and communication shown to us by management who lied to us, went back on their word several times, and ignored working with us to come to a solution. The experience was almost like dealing with temperamental teenagers who refused to listen and blindly stuck to their arguments regardless of context. I want to be fair and say the food was very good, however no amount of excellent food would ever make me want to cater from this place or plan an event on-site ever again. The management likes to play the good cop bad cop routine, and in the end the good cop lets the bad cop win. In addition, their catering team left a gigantic mess at our off-site venue that resulted in us being fined, and when I brought this up to management, I was ignored. If you are looking for good food, you will find it here but beware of working with management because you likely will have a terrible experience.

I would like to inform that, this business has very bad customer service. Manager are rude and always have to wait initially to talk regarding catering service. And when we went for testing at that time presentations of food was so perfect but when actually event comes it was not at all serve the same way. Tea and coffee was cold too. once they get all their contract money the service getting worst, they don t listen to complaints or any other services. And when you call in events because of any issue he will not pick your phone or solve issue. And with less amount of guest than expected you have to face shortage of food and they never accept their fault and says your GUEST EATS A LOT. This guys been changing their business name may be because of their bad reviews and I come to know after I get service. I would never recommend this people to anyone by having this bad experience seriously because I had to suffer lots of embarrassment in both events.

This place has TERRIBLE customer service. They run business under 3 different names(Indian Summer, Madras Pavilion and Daawat Catering) and Indian Summer is their recent name for an attempt to rebuild their poor google reviews of madras pavilion. We hired them for catering for the wedding and we had extremely unpleasant experience. They brought the food an hour late for the wedding and the desserts ran short. The food was served cold and no presentation whatsoever as they advertise it as Catering with a twist . The creative presentation they bring on your tasting day is not even close to what they actually deliver. The owner has no staff to accommodate any communications and he never picks up his phone nor answer messages after getting initial deposit. They didn t pick up the phone even on the day of our catering. When we tried bring these facts back to the owner(Mahesh) and he started being rude to my family and instead of being apologetic about the inconvenience he asked us to be thankful for at least delivering the food because apparently they could deny service at last minute even after getting full payment in advance. I highly recommend against this restaurant/caterers for any important events, I find them highly unreliable

Took my daughter and friend to Indian Summer for the first time and we loved the food and service. We ordered a variety of items including a South Indian Thali for myself, a Chicken Tikka Thali for my friend and as appetizers we had Cauliflower (Gobhi) Manchurian and Panir Tacos! Service was impeccable and food was fresh and delicious. Topped it all off with amazing warm gulab jamuns. Great experience at lunch today! Definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian with gluten sensitivity I had the South Indian Thali which was amazing. Also had the panir taco for the first time...lovely idea and the cauliflower Manchurian was crispy and delicious. They have a wide variety of options for vegetarians. Definitely try saag panir too.

Top notch food and service. We held my parents 50th Anniversary in their banquet hall. Everything was as expected and agreed upon. The banquet room has a nice patio attached. The patio overlooks a lake and is brilliant at night with string lights on the deck. Ask for Mahesh. He is a joy to work with reasonable, patient, accommodating, and overall pleasant. Mahesh is very pragmatic and will get your event done with the utmost efficiency and care. After all, he s a former NASA engineer and IIT India alumnus who worked on the landing gear of the Space Shuttle! But he shifted careers because he enjoys people. And it definitely shows. Anyway, he ll get your event done right and efficiently! Great venue. Great value. Great people. Kudos!

Very welcoming and checked on me multiple times during me meal. I intended to order the egg biryani but didnt see it on the updated menu so I ordered the chicken biryani. Its boneless, which is exactly what I wanted but the menu didnt specify so Im throwing that out there because some people want to know that. I got my food in a timely manner. Maybe 10-12 minutes. My meal was delicious. I saw some reviews saying the biryani was not good but I have to disagree. It was really quiet which was totally fine by me. Ive got nothing bad to say about this place.

The chicken vindaloo was mostly potatoes which was super disappointing and felt like they were cutting corners. I don t pay for potatoes in my chicken vindaloo good sir. Worst customer service. They have different prices online and when you order in restaurant even for take away orders. We have told them that you have different prices online vs pick up, they just dont want to listen and make excuses. Secondly, I have added dessert to veg thali which comes as one item on thali with no extra cost. But when I went there to pick up my order, they charged me extra for dessert. Now this is insane, when I came home and check the food, there wasnt any dessert in my bag, So I called them to issue me a credit because I never received it. They agreed to that but later after a week when I see my credit card statement, I see no credit adjustment for the item I havent received. Before writing this review, I called them to please refund for the item not received, they kept me on hold for roughly 10 minutes. I end up filing dispute with my credit card company to issue my refund for item not received. I can bet they do all this with intention of ripping off their customers. I am sure there are many of their customers who just blindly believe in them and never check their receipts. Its not about money, it about service, and I think they got worst with them.

We worked them from start to finish for a wedding. Their team provided amazing service during the event and during the planning beforehand The tasting experience was so smooth and it was nice getting their thoughts and suggestions. And to get to try and see the various dishes was super helpful. The service they provided there was great and so I figured it would be the same going forward and it was, from the beginning to the end. They made me and my family feel so comfortable and it was a pleasure to work with them to plan the food. They provided us recommendations and suggestions, while still leaving the flexibility for us to choose, but in a way that made it easy to deviate from his recommendation if we felt like we wanted to. While I did not interact with the staff they brought to the event, my family did and they all said they were great and very helpful and nice. They were able to accommodate a few family members dietary restrictions around spice and those family members loved the food. Overall, the food quality was awesome and it tasted just as it did during the tasting. Definitely compared to any of the other Indian restaurants I go to, the taste, quality and presentation is top notch. I will definitely highly recommend them and I genuinely appreciate all they did to make my wedding and reception special!

Ill start by saying I never write bad reviews but I dont want anyone to have the poor customer experience or waste their money on bad Indian food. There are better Indian options in Houston! Im shocked this place has good reviews. Notes from my experience: Went inside to order takeout and it took a while for anyone to take my order at the bar. I didnt see paratha on the menu but asked if they had it and the host said yes! I ordered my meal. The bartender read my order back to me and it was wrong, I corrected him, and he confirmed the new order. The host said it would take about 10 minutes and that theyd bring it to my car. Great! Except I waited about 15 min, walked back inside and asked about my order to find out they forgot to make it. (Glad my hunger and impatience moved me to ask!) So I sit inside to wait instead (noticing a large bug crawling on the waiting chair...) My order came out pretty promptly after that but when the bartender read my order to me, hed clearly placed the wrong order. At that point I was tired and hungry so I left, excited to finally eat. Opened up my paratha first and it was whole wheat flour tortillas! Absolutely not the same as paratha and the host shouldve said no or specified that its a tortilla... The butter chicken (not chicken masala that I ordered) was mediocre at best - overly saucy, too many pepper chunks, poorly seasoned chicken. The **only** good I have to say is the portion size was more than enough for one person and the rice was pretty good. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This restaurant is absolutely worth your time. I had them cater my over $100,000+ wedding during COVID, and they absolutely excelled at the their food, their service, and their kindness. Not a single person had anything but praise to say about their food, and absolutely multiple people asked and texted me through the coming days who catered the food since it was so good! Other places we went to would give us food that tasted totally different at the venue. Now they didnt even know how incredible it was to have Indian Summer as vendors. These people hold themselves to a high standard. They made sure there was always enough food, didnt even charge for minimal vegetarian dishes saying dont worry about it, we will take care of our vegetarians ourselves because they are my family. The owner is a man of very good character. Its not a facade to get us to drum up business. The owner is just a man of very good character. Ive come here for parties, but never had them cater for us before. We will absolutely be using them many more times. At the wedding the owner himself said, I know you will be busy during the wedding so I made a plate for you. Eat this as you walk through the venue. What a pleasure to have at our wedding. An absolute blessing

I went with two friends of mine and had their thali for lunch. The food was simply awesome. Couldnt have been more satisfied. We were well taken care of. It was originally Madras Pavillion now goes by the name of Indian Summer. Im definitely going back there again as soon as I possibly can. - Srini

We came this past Saturday afternoon for a business lunch. The restaurant did a good job of placing the tables apart for social distancing and the employees were all wearing masks. Our waiter wore gloves, refilled our water without us asking, and checked in to see how we liked our food. The service was very attentive and the menu has a variety of options. We had a party of seven and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. I look forward to returning here!

I arrived in Houston tired and hungry, rolled the dice with Google, and Indian Summer was my reward. That dinner was awesome. I had a stuffed baby eggplant dish that was simply a delight. The vegetable samosas were light, delicate, crispy and delicious and the dipping sauces were fresh and full of flavor...they didnt just phone in the raita, and that I truly appreciate. What a marvelous greeting to a great city...thanks for that!!!

* For Vegetarians* Newly renovated (previously Madsras Pavilion), the place is bright and spacious. Menu is innovative. We ordered the jackfruit curry and kofta. Jackfruit tastes a bit weird so know what you are getting into. Both were amazing... Overall best North Indian food we have had in Houston.

Best Indian food I ve had ever since I moved to America. Filled with authenticity with a unique factor in each dish to satisfy all palettes. Pistachio kofta and palak paneer is my absolute favorite . The pani puri shots were some of the best. This is my new favorite place , I m one of the pickiest eaters out there but absolutely no criticism for this place , they ve mastered it all !

We visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday . The ambience is very nice . The staff was very friendly and prompt . The food was not bad , we ordered chicken lollipop , chicken biryani and undhiyu with poori and aam ras. Being our first time we didn t the spice level , unfortunately both the chicken item was very very spicy and we just couldn t eat them , we told them about the biryani , which they promptly replaced and also didn t charge us for that . But the undhiyu was just not like undhiyu , I felt it was more like green peas dal with no other ingredients that we see in a authentic undhiyu . Wouldn t recommend the undhiyu , for other dishes check with the staff for the spice level . Recommend this restaurant for sure , Definitely worth a try .

This used to be Madras Pavilion. Any Desi in the area has probably been here a few times. They have opened a new concept, and remodeled the restaurant. Their fusion items are good and their new cocktails were really tasty. I would highly recommend!
