They were not prepared for the crowd. Cowboys and Saints gane. They ran out of ribs and pork chops before the first quarter. They were slow. The lines were long. The cutting the meat said we cooked twenty plus slabs of ribs. Wow!!!

Sunday, July 21st, around 6:30 pm. Place is not busy but still a lot of people around here. Brisket was dang good and Mac n cheese weren t half bad. I ve had better at Smoke Sessions in Royce City but this hits the spot. $10 for the beer and $25 for the food. Baseball stadium prices! Plenty of places to sit inside and out.

Over priced!! We are visiting on the 4th of July from out of town and not sure if the price increase was due to the holiday. We ordered brisket and ribs which was sold by the pound. We ordered a half pound each of brisket and ribs, side of baked beans, Mac and cheese, potato salad and tried the brisket deviled eggs. We received 2 thick slices of brisket, 2 rib bones and the sides. The brisket was tough and both meats had no smoke or seasoning flavor. Beans were pork n beans and not baked beans with no flavor. Mac and cheese tased like the velveeta cheese block with no seasoning or any other cheeses. It was not creamy and their home made BBQ sauce was not good. The total cost was $79.00. My husband and I only took a few bites and threw it away.

I ll start with what I liked, the baked beans were delicious and the Mac and cheese not to bad. Brisket was okay and the sausage was good. The ribs how ever were terrible. I m used to fall of the bone ribs and the ones at Lockhart are the farthest from that. Also get better bbq sauce. Lockhart more like lock em up for poor ribs and a sauce that thinks it s bbq

I ve been here a few times, always pretty good. This last trip i hope was the exception. There were 2 of us and we ordered a 1/2lb of brisket and a 1/2 chicken. The chicken was excellent, tender and good flavor. The brisket was some of the worst I ve had. Extremely dry and tough. The only thing that made it edible was the bbq sauce, which just felt wrong to do lol. Atmosphere was great, the brisket just took it down for me.

Went here for the Mimosa Event yesterday and decided to eat because the food smelled delicious... big mistake. I asked the lady carving for some hot brisket and she became so offended, she forgot to help the next person in line and told him it was our fault. Then the register person got rude with me as I tipped them. But the rude attitudes would have been worth it if the food had been a little yummy. The brisket was bland and the ribs still had the membrane so they were not seasoned. The baked beans were also flavorless and I wouldnt have even bothered with the review if the food was good. Save yourself, go somewhere else.

Decent for corporate Bbq. My palate expects more from a place labeled as a smokehouse. The flavor profile was almost non existent. Just because you put bbq sauce on it doesnt make it bbq. The meat looked pretty. The nice bark on the brisket had my eyes excited, the moist tender tear amped me up even more but the first bite felt like I stepped on a banana peel and broke my hip. The ribs were rubbery with the same non existent flavor profile. The turkey and jalapeno sausage were good. The beans needed help!!! Small suggestion: try cooking your beans with the bbq sauce it helped once I did it.

The food wasn t that bad. It was tender and the texture was nice. However, flavor was lacking. It was almost like they didn t use any salt. Some salt and other spices would have made it perfect. The sauces were delicious though. It was like they depended on the sauce. I m visiting so maybe that is what it s supposed to be. But I want the meat to be good without the sauce and the sauce just enhance the food. The mac and cheese was velveeta cheese, therefore not good. The deviled eggs were good. The service was great and the people were very nice!!

I ordered .5 pounds of ribs and the employee recommended I add a little more weight or a little less weight due to the bone. I agreed to a little more. Instead of a little more weight he more than doubled it from .5 pounds to 1.01pounds without telling me. this of course more than doubled the cost. I didnt know until I saw my receipt after I left the counter. I asked for the manager and instead of her understanding and acknowledging the deception of what happened, she started instructing me about how meat cutting works. She didnt offer me anything and I was forced to ask her for coupons as an act of good faith.

I got her attention and told her I would like my change. Oh you wanted change? She brought back $0.75. I said Huh? How much was the beer? She said, $14.25. Over $14 for a beer? My hubby and I have eaten barbeque all over the Dallas Metroplex. When we say it is the ABSOLUTE WORST, we mean it. When we went there, we were ravenously hungry, and it was still horrendous!!! Not to add REDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! The meats were disgusting and tasteless. Also, they charge by the pound, (Ribs is $22.98 per lb.) Let me help you put it in perspective, 4 ribs (1.14lb.) was $26.20. Brisket is charged at $27.98 per lb., 6 slices was (.55 lb.) was $15.39. One sausage was $6.00. Our sides were potato salad, beans, and deviled eggs. Dear God, Ive never had spicy potato salad. The beans would make canned beans taste like a delicacy. The deviled eggs taste like the potato salad without the potatoes. I have nothing positive to say about this place. My husband and I should have saw the red flag when we walked in and no one was there. We dont have money to waste. So needless to say, we will NEVER return!

Overly Priced. They dont weigh the meat portions and only give you what they think is half a pound. No plates or extra parchment paper given to eat comfortably. The lids to the cups are not a tight fit. They go to foam cups and dont fit the plastic cups correctly. Take out would probably be a better option to eat comfortably. The brisket and the sausage is the better choice as far as taste. The Mac and Cheese is also great. I didnt care for the potato salad. The hot pickles are delicious as well. They have Mrs. Bairds sliced bread. Looks cheap. I will not be coming back unfortunately because that is not how I like to eat. I dont enjoy eating with my hands and eating medieval. The food was nothing better than the typical smoked chain restaurant hype. Their method is to have you tell them how much you want. So expect more or less a butcher shop experience with the added cost of a finished product. I had the regular sausage which I found well flavored and well processed. As a traveler trying new things I would recommend this item. The brisket was okay. They did well keeping it moist, perhaps keeping it in a warmer for quite some time post smoking process based on texture. For a half a pound of brisket, one sausage, and two small sides, I paid $36. The macaroni was not impressive. The table BBQ sauce was good, a little on the spicy side. I do not recommend this place for children. I was there around 4pm on a Friday. I presume due to light staff I wondered around trying to find my way where to order and stood at the counter several minutes while someone who showed up was clocking in. Wasnt that impressed with customer service. Still, their sausage is worth the stop. Next time I am in the Dallas area I will try their Jalapeño Sausage.

Today the brisket was dry, I wanted this for months. Today the lady gave is dried out pieces. Normally its be juicy. It was her spirit! That was nasty, man was try to help her, but she told him not. I know in my heart it wouldve been juicy and right if he wouldve served us. Parking: Didnt have to pay cause wasnt no game.

Overpriced, under-seasoned, and the slicer cant cut brisket thinly (sliced more like a steak) so the meat was tough. We will not be back. They had a captive audience for the Red Hot Chili Peppers show or we likely would not have been here today.

Heard they have yhe best bbq in the area. wouldnt know bc I couldnt get past the HORRIBLE customer service. Im not from the area and immediately needed directions to the ladies room. instead of directions, I was told I couldnt enter without a wristband. I tried to explain to security I only wanted to order food but need to badly use the ladies room 1st. no help. he said he didnt know where the rr was. I thought a manager could provide assistance, nope! I explained the scenario to her. same directions, somewhere over there. I told her I was excited to eat here until this experience. her response, oh well theres nothing I can do about that! is this Dallas hospitality?
