Goofy road side attraction. There is a pullout to the main gate, which is padlocked.

Based on the poem Ozymandias by Shelley, this sculpture can be found south of Amarillo on a random corner. There s a lay by to pull in and read the marker. Lots of graffiti around. It s fenced off but you can see where people climb through to spray paint regularly. Worth stopping if you like quirky, roadside attractionsz

This is a very interesting sight out in a field by the highway. There is a plaque with info about the legs by them. A cool, quick stop on a daytrip.

It is what it is...some giant calves (no, not the bovine kind ). Sometimes they get their socks changed (whew!) So, they may be sporting a new pair with each new visit.

I love a good, odd roadside attraction. The legs are fenced off in a field. But it looks like the graffiti has covered it pretty bad. What a shame.

My family and I passed through Amarillo in August of 2020. We just happened to notice the legs as we were driving and of course had to stop and take a look. I love finding quirky things like this on roadtrips! Its free to view, but you are supposed to stay behind the fence to view it. If you want to get up close to a sculpture in Amarillo, check out Cadillac Ranch.

Difficult to find (no clear parking, its just a pull-in in the dirt) and lots of vandalism and trash when i went. That being said it is still fun to see the giant legs.

Fun place to stop for a roadside attraction easy on and off the highway and it has a neat story about Mary Shelley(author of Frankenstein) that is interesting.

Who doesnt love a nice pair of legs? In a field, covered in graffiti, and inspired by classical poetry. This is what makes America great.

Of course it s interesting to see. Stanley Marsh instillation. But, once you see it, you see it. Not really any urge to go back. Once I stopped to look at it with a friend and a sheriff came up to us wondering what we were doing and had us wait for a while running our names. Nothing was suspicious about anything, so...THAT was a little unsettling. But, been like 12 years since I ve been here. Nothing too exciting. Just an interesting thing to see for a few minutes. Ha ha.

The only thing is you cant go closer to the huge legs cos they have put barriers, I think the reason for that cos people put spray paint on them. Anyways it was an awesome experience.

Rather boring, and with the field off limits to the public (at least when I went. Your results may vary), its not worth the stop. I dont think itd be worth stopping by even if I could get up close. My picture is with a 18-55mm lens zoomed in all the way :\

HA! These are right off the exit - you cannot walk out to them like the Cadillac ranch - and you cannot spray paint them (Though it appears that others may have in the past...) So, just a quick stop for a picture and then move on. Not sure its worth the stop other than it being weird.

Driving down the Hwy looking die the Marlboro and muffler men, looked over and saw these. Stopped and climbed through barbed wire. It was a quiet day aside from the occasional big rig rumbling by. Kept hearing an odd sound. As we were stopped halfway between the fence and legs, there was a bull about 100 yards away stomping its hoof. We ran to the fence. Good family times.
