It was authentic Mexican food, but I feel it could have been better. It is obviously well limed by the regulars and was quite good. Very specifically asked for no guacamole, and there it was as big as day on my plate. Atmosphere was good obvious a favorite with locals, and mine experience was just a one-time passing through on a road trip experience.

Food was not good, sopes was extremely dry with a sprinkle of meat and buttload of cheese. Kids burger tasted old and rubbery, my son spit it immediately out. Shrimp tacos were overcooked and tasted sour. Queso fresco was pasty not crumbly. Service was okay had to ask for refills and no napkins were given, place was clean though. Chips were good and the avocado was the best edible item at this place.

Went to eat lunch here on Wednesday. It was not that busy for a 40-minute wait. When the food arrived, it was not up to our satisfaction request as one of us requested for white queso on the enchiladas. I ordered the chimichanga, and my shredded chicken was very greasy. Weve been going to this establishment for the better part of 20 years. In the last few years, quality has gone down. The food is off and on. Sometimes, its on point. Sometimes, it isnt. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The decorations are beautiful and authentic to the culture but unfortunately the food had no taste, it didnt taste fresh it tasted like canned food. Charged extra for tomatoes on chalupa when wasn t told would be extra charge before ordering & charged more to add cheese & already charged on ticket to get combo (of meat, beans & cheese) chalupa which was separate price but still charged extra /more on ticket .. so many extra little charges that add up .. but they don t tell you about before ordering. The chicken tortilla soup was served in very small bowl with very little tortilla strips & food kept falling out of the small bowl. I had to add more chips from the chips served at the table. Also, the shredded chicken for soup was NOT shredded but clustered together making it difficult to eat. Tried to explain to waiter of extra charges but didn t seem to understand the mistakes charged so just let it go.. kept saying chalupa only beans & cheese & kept telling him ticket showed already charged for combo chalupa plus extra charges that should not be charged cuz was T told of extra charged before ordering .. ugg! Waiter kept asking & trying to take our plates while still eating & food still on plates .. very impatient!

Our family of five stopped in here while traveling through. Very excellent food! Everyone enjoyed their food, but the tacos were especially good. The chips and salsa came with three different kinds of salsa which was a lot of fun. The service was excellent and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Wed definitely come here again! The food is good for the most part. Just dont get the abodoba tacos. Very dry and nothing on them except meat. No calantro, no cheese (even when asked) just dry meat. Unfortunately, the service isnt great. In the hour that we were there, I had an empty glass the majority of the time. Our waiter didnt speak English so communicating was very difficult. He understood the food items, but any questions about them menu outside of that were not going to happen. We got the wrong food and missing items.

First of all, I never leave reviews because I feel like most of the time people are just griping about their experience. However, I feel like the other reviews on this restaurant were so off base that I need to comment. I am from out of town, Fort Worth . I stayed in the area near this restaurant and read the reviews. I was a little apprehensive, to say the least. However, I did not want to drive and I was looking for a drink with dinner. I immediately went to the bar since I was dining by myself. I didn t have to wait the staff was very prompt and attentive. The chips and salsa was absolutely fantastic. They gave me three different types of salsa to choose from. All pretty spicy which is a huge plus for me. I ordered the chicken and New Mexican green chili enchiladas. I have to tell you this is the green sauce that I ve been waiting for for about 20 years!!!! I used to go to a restaurant in Midland Texas that had the best green sauce I ve ever had in my life and this one have the same green sauce.! I was so excited. I kept eating even though I was full because it was so good! I will absolutely go back. The company at the bar was talkative and friendly. The bartenders were attentive and even the house margarita was awesome. No need to add Don Julio.l, I promise. Even though they were busy, the staff did pay attention to just me and I got everything that I needed. I would go back, even if I wasn t driving through Amarillo. I have had many terrible dining experiences as a single, professional mom, but this place exceeded all my expectations.

The food is amazing! However, they charge higher for sodas vs tea. They charge $2.49 to add queso to any meal. That was half the price of my burrito. I feel like that is outrageous. Sour Cream Sauce for Enchiladas was a white soup that tasted like watered down sour cream, at best. The refried beans were actually good, but this party of 4 was sorely disappointed in the meal overall.

The owner is rude! She doesnt care if you are complaining about what is going on with her establishment. I mentioned to her I had a rude employee that refused to serve me so thats fine I didnt tip either. I tip big and Im very nice to everyone unless youre rude to me i dont tolerate rude people . Plus the portion is unfair and the food is nasty but thats my opinion

The chips and salsa are the star here. They bring out three kinds of salsa, all delicious. The meals they serve are good but nothing to write home about, your standard tex-mex flair. The service is prompt and friendly. My wife and I visit here fairly frequently. A good place to go for a causal date night!

We had not gone here for a while because there was a very hateful and rude hostess. We went last week at lunch and we re not disappointed at all great service and super good food. I had been here before when traveling to Amarillo. The expreience was always satisfactory. But this time. Wow. Place was dirty inside. The bar had that old sweet rotten bar smell that tells you the bar is not being kept cleaned properly. Which usually means the kitchen is dirty as well. The smell was not just in the bar. I was with others so I could not just leave and go elsewhere. The food was overly red chili peppered. Otherwise, the rest was bland and WAY overpriced for the quality.

Food with excellent flavor and seasoning, waiter excellent service attitude, hostess a little upbeat, I left my job and came a little dirty, I was smoking all the time on the road, I imagine that the appearance was not all that good, but I dont think thats the case. It should matter if not the customer service, she should have mentioned leaving the job and with that she earned my 5 Stars

Fantastic food and atmosphere but they must be severely understaffed in both the kitchen and front the house. The servers do their best to keep customers happy but theres only so much they can do.
