Came in for a grilled cheese with brisket, fries and a water. Total came out to $15. I paid $21 expecting a 5 back, and the waitress kept all of it. And then when I confronted her about it, I get told I dont understand?!?!) So youre telling me that for a BASIC order with no frills, service is expecting a 40% tip?? No thanks. Ill tip, but thats a little high for basic service.

Tonight was the first time we ve ever been to this restaurant. We are traveling and decided to stop there and we re so glad we did. I would give the service a hands-down five 5 ! Our waiter, Mason, was great! He was very attentive and pleasant. Also, our hostesses, both in arrival and departure, were very personable and made us feel very welcome. My husband had a meatloaf sandwich and said he would give it a five 5 . He liked the whole combination and said it had a good flavor profile. I had the brisket quesadillas, and I wasn t that crazy about them. Actually, they were great in size, very well cooked, I just wasn t crazy about the flavor profile. I also had a dinner salad and it was so fresh and I loved the garlic croutons on it, plus the ranch dressing was really good. I would actually give the dinner salad a five 5 and was glad I got it. I would have liked if they would ve had a different salsa option. I am a salsa lover, but did not really like that one at all, but since I ordered quesadillas, I tried to eat with was provided salsa-wise. Outside of that, I m glad we went and would definitely go there again! Because of the service we received, we had a great experience and will probably go back!

We had not been to Kellys in a while and missed the food there. We went last Friday and the menu portions got smaller and plating was cafeteria style. The buffalo meatloaf seemed to have been reduced by half and I know my chicken fried chicken was a chicken breast cut in half. It also felt like it was 95 degrees in the main room. We quickly finished dinner and left as soon as we could. The service was great though! Our waitress kept apologizing for the heat. She did a great job!

Food came out so fast that I assume Chef Mic (microwave) was working overtime. Meal pacing seemed to be focused on getting us out as fast as possible. All of the food options were mediocre. Over cooked poached egg and a sauce that doesnt even resemble hollandaise on the eggs bene... My wife adds everything was bland and under salted. Syrup on the brunch pancakes was worse than dollar store syrup, with an excess amount of artificial thickener. Portions were huge... not good huge, but more like please give me half that portion, but better quality huge. Our table was by the door to the patio. Every time it opened, which was a lot, a huge gust of hot air blew over my body and blew our napkins off our laps. 2/5 stars... if my friends were coming, Id skip the meal and meet them after.

This is a solid choice. Food was good (got the onion rings for app, and chicken fajitas for meal). The atmosphere is fun, but needs like one more TV in the area of the left side of the entrance. Service was excellent! Overall, a good spot for a cold beer and a meet up with a bro, or just to hang out for a minute away from the heat.

This location sucks. Had to flag down a bartender to even get a drink order taken. I sat with a menu in front of me for 45 minutes, not once was I asked if I wanted to put in an order. Only four other people were at the bar top at the time. The frisco location is much better, seems well managed with very attentive staff. I recommend skipping the Allen one!

We had steak, sliders, and pasta. The sliders were a full size patty cut into quarters so this alone was pretty sad. It was tasteless and the meat was dry. My sliders were cold so I send them back. One of my favorite places. Used to visit at least one a week and still go to the Alien or Preston locations at least monthly. Consistent. Surprisingly good food with great appetizers, 7-8 different salads (my favorite is the wedge), soups, and entrees. You have to try their brisket nachos at least once. Service is good and management must be good since the servers always seem to like their jobs. Atmosphere is also good with enough TVs to watch local Dallas sports. Rated a 4 only because sometimes it can be a little loud but they also have a fire pit (Allen) and patio seating.

Overall I had good experience. I consume there Hash and Egg for brunch, which was a 4 out of 5. It probably could have some rosemary potatoes, and it would be a 5 out of 5. The servicer was friendly but slightly so to observe individuals sitting on the patio. I had to walk to the bar to ask for assistance after sitting there for five minutes. I will never be back here after their selfish waitress ruined our mothers day brunch. We arrived right after they opened at 10:15. The manager said they had a table on the patio but that it is reserved at 11:30 so wed have to be done by then. I told him that was fine because we had other plans afterwards. A couple minutes after sitting down the waitress came over saying that the table was reserved, we said we knew and the manager says it was ok, but she said the tables were reserved for her parents and now they wanted to come early so we cant sit there. When we said we could move inside she said there were no tables inside, so the waitress basically kicked us (with my two small children) out of our table and out of the restaurant for her parents that couldnt stick to their own reservation. I hope youre waitresses parents can sustain your business since you prioritize them over your actual customers.

Amazing food, service, and vibe. Came here for a girls lunch while out shopping. Our server was really attentive and helpful. Drinks never ran dry. Weve had friends recommend this place and finally got to try it. Definitely see why. The food was so good. I was not a huge fan of the cornbread. It was a bit chewy and dry, but everything else was great. Ribs fell apart. Meatloaf was good. Ceaser Salad was excellent. We are super happy that we have found this place. We are pretty much here for brunch every Saturday or Sunday. Its a great place to go and have brunch. Mimosas are always amazing and such a good price. The food in general is extremely reasonably priced and good. The last two times we have been in there though, we have had new employees wait on us and service has definitely lacked. Drinks didnt come out in a timely manner, food was messed up, and extras that we asked for were not brought to us. Servers that have been there for a long period of time are always spot on. We have come here many times and it used to be one of our absolute favorite places to eat. This time the food was terrible. The chicken fried steak is my go to and today it had a weird taste and the mashed potatoes were brought out ice cold. When asked how things were I was honest and she said she d have her manager come right over. I didn t need to tell the manager anything was just letting them know. My friend made reservations for her hubby s bday. She called ahead and they told her they had an Easter brunch Buffett out today but that they could accommodate vegetarians. The Buffett had some Mac n cheese and burned pancakes which we could have eaten but wasn t worth the Buffett price. We were told the kitchen could not make us anything. I asked if we could at least get some chips and queso since we re ordering cocktails and drinking in an empty stomach. (Which they had in the buffet)They said no. On Friday, March 15th, my son and his friend went to Kellys to meet another friend and have some drinks. When they arrived, their friend was already drinking a drink at the bar with his girlfriend. My son gave his card to the bartender for HIS tab. However, when he went to pay, he discovered that the bartender had charged his friends drinks to his tab. My son explained that he did not come with his friend and should not be responsible for his friends drinks. The bartender refused to remove the charges and said my son was responsible for his friends drinks. He even claimed to be the manager when my son asked to speak to the manager. After refusing to get the manager, he told my son to hang tight and walked away. As my son was waiting for the bartender to return, a customer approached him and asked him what was happening. After hearing the story, the customer said it was understandable and returned to her seat. Next, two Allen Police squad cars with lights going showed up. The bartender had called the police over a $15 dispute. My son and his friend he came with went outside and spoke with the officer in charge. After hearing my sons side of the story, the officer went inside to talk to the bartender. He returned to tell my son that the charges would be taken off. He said if they do not take the charges off, come by the police station. Its ridiculous that Kellys empowered an employee to call the police for such a trivial issue. The employee and the establishment should be ashamed of wasting taxpayers dollars by calling law enforcement over $15. The bartender should have asked for a card to start a tab or payment from my sons friend when he arrived with his girlfriend. They were already drinking when my son and his other friend arrived! The bartender tried to bully my son into paying for drinks he forgot to get payment for. The police officer told my son he was not banned from Kellys, but do not return that evening. I will tell everyone about the terrible experience at Kellys shame on the employee who called the police, the employees who stood watching, and Kellys management.

Updated Review 2024: We really enjoy Kellys. The staff are always very nice and super helpful and attentive. The food is always consistent regardless of what you order. We just found out recently that some of the dishes are available in half sizes for those of you that eat lighter. This time I got the Pork Tenderloin sandwich (which I am now addicted to) and my wife got 1/2 order of brisket chips. They also have a very large rotating selection of draft beer and a very nice whiskey selection in all price ranges, so if youre feeling adventurous, you should ask the bartenders for help choosing. We come pretty regularly and its nice to see the same faces working there. Good regular spot or something new to try if you havent.

I had high expectations since it s always packed and has raving reviews, but to be honest it fell short. Most the times we ve gone it has always been too crowded where it was a 2 plus hour wait. Today we got a table and it wasn t that bad, there were many open tables. It took about 15 minutes before anyone came to us for drinks and throughout the night it was hard to find our waitress. She seemed busy and overwhelmed but that shouldn t be an issue to us. The hamburger sliders were maybe a 5/10 and tasted mushy inside. The brisket fries/chips were really good and the fried pickles were mediocre. So for my first experience here overall it fell short and was subpar. I don t know if I d be back as nothing was great and there s other places in the area that are far better to me.

Updated review: 12/13/2023. I came back in and the manager helped me right away to correct the issue I had previously done a review on. He was happy to help me get my meal made correctly. The quesadilla had enough cheese, chicken, and peppers and I was impressed by how much better everything was made today. The quick response from the manager to my initial review and his ability to fix my issue speaks volumes. We will definitely be back again! :)

Really its a great place with a really quiet chill environment as opposed to next door, however I would still be careful leaving that place it late at night having drink a few. You might be fine but that cop that just pulled you over for nothing knows you just left a bar.

After cooking all day I didn t want thanksgiving food, saw Kelly s was open. The service was so friendly and welcoming. Caitlyn with a C was spot on with recommendations and accommodations (I can be extra I m sorry) she anticipated my needs even before I did. (Thanks for that large ranch) I will def be back just for the service, it s nice to have friendly positive atmosphere to get away from home

Went for brunch. 3 out of the 4 people who helped us did not seem like they wanted to be there and were not friendly, if anything seemed annoyed. I got the brisket brunch plate and it was 95% potatoes, with the other 4% the two eggs. We also got the chicken fried steak, which was mediocre. Best thing was the mimosas. First time here, not dying to go back.

This is a great place to have fun with friends. The staff is great. Parking: There is a parking garage right next door. You can leave your car overnight thatll be safe if you have to many drinks. Kid-friendliness: They have crayons for kids to color on and lot of varieties for kids to eat.

The waitress must have been either related to the head of hr, or maybe her first day. The food runner did great and the other waitstaff that helped but if we wanted something we had to hunt down others. After my buddy said they like the place and have been going there for awhile he kept saying never has it been that bad

My wife and I had a large family brunch here (70 people) the morning after our wedding as a big send off. We were referred by my co-worker, after we had searched MANY bar / brunch places in the area. We loved the flexibility of reserving the large private room, and the ability to go dutch and split the check between the parties easily (instead of us paying and having to get payment back from people).. We had the Breakfast buffet, and it was delicious. The large room was perfect for our group. We are thankful to the managers and waitstaff who helped make our wedding sendoff a success!!

Been going here for 3 years and it s always a good experience (food and service). Was our go to place prior to an Allen Americans game. Today for lunch left us, the entire family, confused. Hosts did even bother to ask us if we thankwanted a table or booth but assumed we wanted/needed a table. Then proceeded to ask the people who came after us if they wanted a table or booth. The wife requested a booth and then we sat at our table for over 7 minutes with no acknowledgment. Or even the common courtesy of can i get you all something to drink . It wasn t busy and in fact there were 4 other tables waiting with one who manage to get water. Sprinted out door and didn t even bother looking back. drove 25 minutes to another restaurant (Shakas in the colony) and got our food in less than 10 minutes. Update (10-29-23): Redemption time. changed all ratings to 5 stars. They definitely redeemed themselves last night pre-game Allen Americans. Service was well above the expectations we had previously. Even the atmosphere of the entire place was amazing. People were smiling including the servers. The food was also good. Thank you Aaron and Nutella (that was name on the check from our server) she was AWESOME. If you re reading this, thank you both. Thank you Kelly s We will be back for sure..

The very best food, best tacos Ive ever had. The pinto beans were very good. Everyone in the group was very happy with the food and service. The place is noisy so we ate outside. Happily you can smoke outside. Take that California!

This place was new to us, as we have been traveling to new places to eat. The atmosphere was great the waiter was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Not the biggest menu but the hamburger and onion rings were delicious. I m an avid fan of hamburgers and it s hard to find a good burger. Definitely Will eat here again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE The ooey gooey butter cake and mimosas! Glad I live nearby! (9/10/23) I had to come on here after attending Kelly s yesterday for another one of my favorite Brunch Mimosas. My waitress was extremely RUDE to myself and my daughter. We weren t very hungry so we decided to stop by Kelly s to sit on the patio and enjoy a mimosa and basket of fries. It seemed like when our waitress noticed that was all we were ordering, she started being VERY rude. Slamming things down to the table, forcing us to ask several times for a refill on beverages. Not bringing us the bill for an unreasonable amount of time. I did not catch the waitresses name but she had on skin tight black leggings (which seemed a bit inappropriate as well) and jet black straight hair. I will continue to order Kelly s through Door Dash - just to continue to support but I refuse to come back into the restaurant. She gave the impression that I needed to come in and spend at least $100 or I won t be welcomed. This was my first bad experience. Please figure out who worked the patio yesterday and coach her immediately. I always brag on Kelly s but she left a bad taste in my mouth!

The usual pub fare, Texas style. All your favorites are on the menu, along with lots of queso, and its all delicious. Loads of screens around the inside and outside seating areas. Outside has fans and misters. Service was prompt and friendly. What brought me here was the great beer selection that wasnt the boring lagers found everywhere else, along with having some local brews.

A few drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) with friends after a friends 50th birthday at the Thunderbird rollerskating rink. Great atmosphere with great service and friends. A great non-alcoholic drink is their strawberry mango lemonade with a cherry. That makes it festive.
