UPDATE Sep 2024: Good to be back to try new menu items. We have eaten since last review several times at other TT locations so overdue to visit here. Lots of friends and families having Sun lunch. Great service fast out of kitchen. We got one order of Trailer Trash see photo and two other tacos. Yummy again. Noticed staff was very prompt to clean tables and sweep floor. UPDATE Jan 1st 2023: First eating out for lunch for new year. All great all around as before except monthly special not so much. See photo. Two tortillas stuck together with cheese; one corn the other flour. The corn tortilla became very tough and hard during cooking. So I peeled it off to eat flour one and ate the filling with fork. Noticeable less people here for Sunday lunch. Guess all home resting from the party last night and watching football games.UPDATE Apr 2021. Back for a refill of their delicious tacos. I got the Apr Special; see photo. Yummy. Weekend lunch hour so very busy but customers taken care of very promptly. Masks are now optional for customers although the staff is still wearing them; see photo. We got chips and queso with one taco each which was more than enough. We asked for take out bag for queso and chips and got another bag of chips. Super. UPDATE Oct 2020 OooRah! They are open for limited dining in. We havent been to this location in many months. The Oct special is Washingtonian which I have taken new photos of contents and when served. Check it out. Half the table area is blocked off so plenty of separation between tables. Customers and staff doing all the usual virus precautions. First visit at this location (Feb 2015) as last year we went to location in Dallas, TX. Same menu same great taste. For tacos I am a fan of their menu and service. Weekends and holidays are very busy and the staff hustles to take and service orders. The cleanup crew gets your table trash cleaned off and cleans quickly when you leave. Tables outside and protected from bad weather with heavy plastic drapes (see photo). Save your time and those behind you in line by knowing what you what to order. On weekends (Dallas/Allen) locations it is very popular with families and kids. UPDATE: Bumped rating to 5 stars after similar great experiences at other locations. UPDATE Aug 2016. Still rating at 5 stars. Impressed with staff coping with the largest crowd for Sat lunch I have experienced at any location. Taking the orders, getting them out promptly and clean up tables for the next party. Large groups (families w/kids) made it extra hard.

Went by there this morning, 8/29/24. Never been for breakfast. The two Wrangler Tacos were outstanding. I had the salsa put on the side. I did not catch the persons name that served me, but she was exceptional. Her greeting me to making a menu suggestion when I told her I was new to the breakfast scene to how she made us all feel welcomed as other customers arrived. Thank you for hiring such a wonderful service oriented person. They are getting more rare these days.

Very mismanaged store. Lost my ticket. Did not expedite my order. I watched 4 walking get there order before my preorder was filled. There was zero empathy or recognition for the mistake. July 2024 Update: Back again for the first time since January, and back to 1 star. Ordered a breakfast taco with egg, spinach, and potatoes. Got a breakfast taco with burnt egg and spinach. January 2024 Update: Yes, I still come here occasionally. Only because one of my kids still likes it. Im bumping up my one-star review from 2020 to two stars. The service and takeout has improved considerably since then. Even though we get takeout sometimes, Ive completely stopped eating food from here myself because the vegan options are downright terrible. The beans have cheese in them, the fried avocado has dairy in the batter, and the vegan meat stuff they sell looks like canned dog food and tastes like licking a block of salt. Despite having better service than in years past, the food quality has gone downhill overall and is terribly inconsistent. Their salsa and guacamole in particular are very hit-or-miss. September 2020 Update: RIP Torchys. As a customer whos been coming here since their doors opened Im sad to say this will be my last update at this restaurant. Service for take-out has gone from lousy to absolutely intolerable. Despite having them correct my orders time and time again theyve never once offered to comp me in any way. Ive always let it slide because my kids like it and its been relatively convenient. Theyve finally crossed the threshold into being intolerably inconvenient and frustrating. My order tonight was 15 minutes late, and two of the six items in my order were missing. One of the other four was wrong. I ended up waiting another 15 minutes for them to get the missing items replaced, and one of the replacements was wrong. After waiting a total of over 30 minutes, my food is all cold and I still dont have everything I ordered. August 2020 Update: Take out is still abysmal. My last few orders have been mostly correct, so thats an improvement. The new problem is that ordering ahead of time is pointless. Ive been sitting in my car waiting for a curbside pickup for 20 minutes for an order I placed an hour and a half ago. Feb 2019 Update: A year later and their take-out is worse than ever. My kids love it so I keep coming here, but Im on a streak of about 10 online orders in a tow that are missing at least one item. 2018: Good tacos. Take-out is a mess and orders are usually wrong.

Torchys is great. I love their food and is one of my favorite places to grab some quick tacos. I have to say I was disappointed in this particular location. While the food all had the quality I expect from Torchys the atmosphere felt nothing like any of the other locations Ive visited. The staff was polite but that was about it. The dining area was small and cramped. It just didnt have the same feel. For one of the people with me it was their first visit to Torchys and I had to beg them to not form a hard opinion based off our visit.

We have come to this location before, and the service is great we got our food fast, however the tacos themselves are expensive for what they are. For three people, we got four tacos, guacamole, and two minutemaid lemonades and it came to $40?? the tacos themselves aren t even that big! In addition, there was a lot of salt in the taco and the chicken was hard and bready. For inauthentic tacos, the price is overboard, in my opinion. I do not recommend coming here if you re looking for affordable or good food.

Fantastic food, great and consistent quality, and all for a great price! Ive been here many times and always had a great time! The people that work there are really nice and helpful, as well as very fast with making and giving the food. I also really like the queso and guacamole. I would recommend getting 2 tacos per person if you are real hungry, or 1 taco + a side (like queso/guac). The tacos are pretty big and full of the ingredients, so you wont be disappointed! I will keep coming here for years to come! :) Edit: I wrote this review years ago, and even till today the quality and consistency is still great! Still loving it! :D

Ive came to Torchys Tacos for years. They are in general very good, but sometimes the tacos and queso (the two main things to order) come out cold/lukewarm. That is really only main critique, but it happens commonly enough that its worth losing a star. Id say about 20% of the time. The pricing is a little aggressive as well.

This location has gotten progressively worse. Almost every order I place, something is wrong. Staff that runs curbsides out have gotten ruder except one guy that is always friendly. For one taco it is a bit pricey. The margaritas are pretty good. But for two tacos and 2 margaritas total about $28.37 the tacos were decent nothing worth $5 though. Id rather go else where. I eat at three other Torchys. All simple great food. This Torchys sux. The Mexican corn was WAY over seasoned. The Chicken Grand Burrito was also over seasoned. The size was kind of stupid jumbo, but so was the price. The corn, burrito, and drink came to $19.70. That helped ruin the experience. I wont come near this Torchys ever again.

We walked in. Girl at front desk didnt even turn around. Stood there for a few minutes. Then asked, Do we seat ourselves? She said yes. Sat down waited about 10 minutes nobody came to table. The tacos are great. Good size, lots of meat and a fair price. I get the Trailer Park, trashy. The service is fast so even if the line is long it will move. I will say the house rocks margarita was not good. It s either the mix or way too much lime. I couldn t taste the tequila at all. My wife and I each got one and left them both. Maybe they can make one fresh or have a different type that would taste better. Over $10 each not worth it. The food is great though.

It was busy yet the wait was not long at all. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and so helpful. Everyone was excellent. We are visiting, we will definitely come again. Love it

Horrible hygiene. Bus boy was sweeping the floors, cleaning tables and the trash can with the same towel and Never Washed his hands before touching to go orders or food delivery to tables. Another customer complained but the bus boy ignored them. Additional complaints were expressed to management but at the time I left, the bus boy had not washed his hands and was still touching the food. 12/19/23 - Family talked me into coming back. Food was not hot when served and the swirls were awful.

This was my go to staple place for a while but slowly they seem to just stopped caring. Tacos are now just thrown together, typically missing stuff (2 orders in a row missed adding bacon but charged me) and the service is just not friendly. When you go for pickup, they are just rude or dont even come out, after you text. Not sure if its new management, or just lack of oversight but what used to be an awesome place aint so much anymore.

Torchys Tacos is a game-changer! I mean, who knew tacos could be elevated to this level?! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The vibe was lively and fun, and the staff was super friendly. But lets talk about the tacos - oh my gosh! The flavors were bold and creative, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. I tried a few different kinds, and each one was better than the last. And dont even get me started on the queso - life changing! If youre a taco lover like me, you owe it to yourself to try Torchys. Its a taco dream come true! 5 stars and a big thumbs up!

Probably the most flavorful, delicious street tacos you could ever have. This specific Torchy s is a bit small; sitting outside is my preference. Dietary restrictions: You can ask for them to take items off your taco, but they also have different menu items for diet restrictions.

First time at Torchys tonight, really good. GET THE QUESO, it is ridiculous! Im not even a queso guy. Had the carnitas tacos, beef (Democrat) and street corn. All of the food was excellent! My wife and I are original from Southern California 25 years ago and have a hard time finding good authentic Mexican food. Torchys Tacos and food are legit! Kid-friendliness: Great staff!
