Disappointed with the APP and lack of service in the restaurant at the Allen location. First thing that made me mad was once I ordered on the app and clicked pay it automatically charged me over $4 for a tip when I did not see this option and I did not get prompted for this option it simply charged me 20% on a take out order that I have to go into the store and pick up. This is really a crappy automatic feature that should not be in the app as it feels like a scam to get more money out of you. Shame on Freebirds! What put me over the top is when I went into the restaurant to get my too go order there was no designated shelf or place to pick up my order. There were 4 people in line and I just stood at the register while the 2 line workers helped people in line and the to go girl had her back to the restaurant the entire time. After the first couple rang up and paid I had to interrupt and ask if there is an area to pick up my order. She asked what the name was I told her and she turned around grabbed my bag and handed it to me. What is the point of ordering ahead of time if I have to stand in line and wait for everyone else to complete their order? Ridiculous system and should have a shelf or table by the register where people can grab it and go not have to wait 5 plus minutes and in line to pick up their food that is already ready! Freebirds need to reevaluate their order a head of time system and their app. I feel cheated with the $4 plus automatic tip that I did not agree to and then to wait 5 plus min to get my food that was just sitting on the counter behind the register is not efficient and very inconvenient for the paying customer! I will not be coming back.

The food is bland. I ordered a monster steak burrito, they ran out of steak I waited for them to cook some. When it was ready, the steak was rare. The pinto beans were cold. Not the number 1 Texas burrito as the trash can said. Which is where my burrito ended up.

Light and bright atmosphere. Very clean. The drink selection is really good and so is the iced tea. The staff was wonderful and helpful during our visit. The food was very fresh and the prices are within reason :). I especially like that they offer white or dark meat chicken and low carb tortillas. Be warned the brownies and cookies at the register look delicious! Vegetarian options: They have a few types of beans and grilled vegetables are really good! Eating veg here would be easy.

The place was filthy with gnats and flies everywhere. Most tables had a sticky residue on them. Many were not wiped down. And the traah was overflowing. If i didnt have Hangry Kids with me, we would have left as soon as we entered. It was very disgusting and worst thing is that the employees walked around like nothing was wrong. If that was the state of the front,i dont want to even imaginne the condition of the kitchen.

My lunch was $25 for just myself. I got a monster bowl that didn t have much chicken, the bowl wasn t even filled at all. The meat all looked pre packaged. It did not look fresh at all. The chips came in a prepackaged cellophane bag. I was not even full when I left. $25 for a bowl, some chips, and a drink. Absolute rip off.

I havent had a freebird burrito in a couple of years so when i saw it in Allen i just had to stop. My son has never been so it was an experience for him that was great and the staff just made it more so. Friendly and very attentive to what we ordered. The main eating area was clean and well maintained. The restroom was cleaned and well stocked also. The prices are a little high but the atmosphere and great food and staff made it all worth it. Will definitely be going back to tackle that super monster.

The main thing that I have noticed about Free Birds is the consistency with the franchise. Every location you are warmly greeted and the food is the same great flavor. It sometimes does seem a little quite, both nothing some good music can fix. Great job!

Upon arriving at Freebirds we were greeted by Jerrod. Me and my wife haven t had Freebirds since being kids, so we kinda forgot the whole menu lol. Jerrod walked us through the whole process, explaining the portions, and all of the ingredient options. He made sure we knew all of our options and is definitely the face Freebirds would want standing at the counter setting the example for fellow employees and being the customers first contact. Food was excellent!!

This review is specifically about the food, the employees were nice and I dont believe the food issue is their fault. The quality of ingredients that Freebirds uses now is just not good. I hadnt been to one in years and thought Id give it a try today... wow utter disappointment! I couldnt even get through my nachos because the chicken was grossing me out. The chips were straight from a bag, not freshly made. They were more like wonton crips than tortilla chips and were soggy by the time I got to my table to eat.

Ill start off by saying the food is good and what youd expect from any Freebirds location. The atmosphere is consistent as well. My issue is the amount of food served between each employee is inconsistent. My wife and I both had the same size freebird burritos with similar fixings but mine was barely bigger than a kids burrito and hers was almost double what mine was. Theyre putting less and less in the burritos each time and its just not worth paying for anymore.

Im not sure who helped me (Feb 17 around 5pm) but they were super sweet. I had miscalculated the cost of the food, and when I had gone to the register to pay I realized I didnt have enough money to pay, instead of being super rude or whatver, whoever helped me just cancelled the order and gave me the food anyways. The service at this location is great, and the workers genuienly care about their customers!

I had dinner here with a friend a while back. The food is amazing, and healthy. They will custom-make your order. After we ate, we had fun making little objects out of the aluminum foil. Its always cold here. I got 2 kids quesadillas for my young kids and it was 9 bucks each because we added chicken and the portion size was laughable. It didnt even fill up my 1 year old. The regular burritos were okay but we wont be coming back with our kids. The steak was fatty. The chicken was good but a little dry. They should revise their kids menu.

I normally would never leave such a review but the food was that bad that I was compelled to leave a review My friends told me to eat at this place they live in San Antonio and RAVE about free birds world burrito.. So I tried it . It was BLAND, AND THE CHORIZO HAS AN AWFUL TEXTURE. On top of both of those issues the food just lacked in expierence and was telling me to never come back again I won t be coming back again also there was some blackish looking gunk on the soda machine, I m not sure if it was mold but I paid for a fountain drink and left my cup empty by the machine . Food was OK. Pretty mediocre customer service experience - they asked me if I wanted potatoes sounded yummy. I had no idea it was $2 extra for what amounts to about 2oz of cold, clammy, roasted potatoes. At the end I asked about the price being wrong, she said she made the mistake of not telling me it costs $ and made zero effort to refund or even act apologetic. Do better, Freebirds. Ordered a monster burrito with double meat and paid full price to get 2 pounds of straight beans and rice, I avidly told the worker to reduce the beans and rice but was ignored. Afterwards the double meat means 1 extra teaspoon of meat and definitely not worth the price. All in all I ate 1/3 of the monster burrito and threw away 2/3rds of the flavorless rice and bean mountain. I will not be back as any other restaurant can turn a $22 meal into something other than the worlds blandest rice and beans to fill you up.

I ordered the 2 tacos and the guy gave me less than a teaspoon of meat on each one. The few other toppings I got were heavy on one and barely any on the other. I say heavy in quotes due to the other toppings being super light. Like only 5 pieces of corn per taco there was 3 on one and 7 on the other when I got it. That and a drink for $14? This place is usually pretty decent, but I went in today at 10:37 and waited for about 5 minutes. Three employees saw me but zero acknowledged me. One was washing windows. One was standing behind the counter crunching up chips or something and then a third one walked out of the kitchen and looked at me and walked past me on the way to the bathroom. Normally I would say this place is pretty decent to eat at but as of last 3 times it has continuously gotten worse. Normally order nachos from this restaurant but now there is barely even enough cheese given to drizzle about 3rd of the chips. I d ask for normal amount given in past told you have to pay extra charge. Not sure what has changed in this place recently but probably will not come back for a while because of it.

The place was really clean and there was still an employee wiping down tables and cleaning up. He was also very friendly. The guy that took our order was very professional and welcoming. Today we went to the Freebirds World Burrito in Allen on Stacy Road and the food is absolutely phenomenal! This is the second order that weve had this week alone. The first visit was on September 18th. I had the chicken burrito bowl and my two teenagers had a burrito. Hands down the options that they give are great! So much to choose from and they have more than one type of tortilla. The first time I had the cauliflower rice with my bowl and it was pretty good. I love the fact that they have several different types of sauce that you can add to your bowl or burrito. They even give you the option of adding it to the side . Even more than one type of ranch. My order today was a burrito and it was huge. Theres more than one different size available for the burrito. Its definitely better than Chipotle! The service was great and when we placed our order online it was ready within 15 minutes for us to pick up. We would definitely continue ordering and also forgot to mention that the ingredients taste fresh. Theyre not stingy with the toppings or the protein that you choose. Unlike Chipotle, who only gives you a few pieces of meat. Dont get me wrong I like Chipotle as well but if I had a choice between the two it would definitely be Freebirds. Good food and even great service! I included a photo of my burrito and that is only half of it. It literally took up my whole plate. It definitely looks better in person but I didnt opt for any sauce today. Yall have to go and visit the Allen location ASAP.

Whenever I drive down this way, I have to stop and get a big burrito. I luv this place, you get to pick out how its made and watch, which occupies the kids. Love, love, love this eatery from the environment to the food, and even the friendly service. My 1st experience was at the original in College Station, Texas (Gigem Aggies!! Whoop!!) A definite must - try for a casual family outing. Kid-friendliness: Options and tastes can even get the picky little ones!

Service was quick. Location was a bit loud and spacious ceilings made the noise carry more. Some staff could be hard to hear as a result. Some of the items in the burrito (beans and rice) had definitely been sitting out for a while despite being pretty busy for lunch. Parking: Located in a large shopping center. There is plenty of nearby parking. Only a handful of handicap spots.

A bit pricy for fast food, but you can get a big tasty burrito the way you want it, and it can be reasonably healthy. I have mine with very little rice, a good choice for diabetics.

Their online order app is buggy. It added steak by default as protein even though we chose not to add any protein.Dor a vegetarian its a painful experience to order online via freebirds. Hope they address this issue soon

Im in town for the week training at Allen Police Training Facult . Was looking for a nice carb friendly salad. Was totally awesome. Great customer service. I cant recommend this place. I was craving a chicken burrito and instead of going to Chipotle I decided to try Freebirds for the first time. When I saw the chicken I should have turned around. It was processed little cubes. Seriously. I opted for no beans, so the employee doubled down on the rice. I paid $10 for a rice burrito with a small serving of processed cubed chicken. All of it tasted gross. The salsa on the burrito, the rice and the chicken just did not taste good. Will never be back.

Dang, Freebirds used to be my favorite franchise to get a burrito. The quality has been going down hill for a while. Recently had a monster steak burrito and the beans were crumbly, barely noticed the steak, and the hot sauce tasted funny. Cookie was stale too. Ill try and keep up the support in hopes of a turnaround but its getting tougher and tougher...
