...was theown out in the middle of a serious crisis in my life. I had jobs in 2018 at one point was working 4 jobs and fighting back and forth court custody hearings. I just needed a safe warm place to stay. I also suffered food poisening from their cafe during breakfast. It was a poppyseed muffin. My tounge immediately swelked up and my asophagus was closing. I couldnt swallow. Abulance was called. Ive stayed here during the plague on and off inculding two other shelters in Fort Worth TX. Now they say they only take people with children.

They lie about their residents receiving mail and tries to send it back!!! They right now at this moment are randomly uprooting single women residents to place them in a gymnasium with men!!! At a Womens Shelter!!!... Not all showers have curtains and theres NO locks on the restroom stalls what so ever!!!!!! Males are able and do come and go into the bathroom area as they please at all hours of the day and night!!!!!!!! As a man I am angry and saddened by this.I am in the process of filing the proper paperwork and travel the right channels for this wrong done to our women righted.I was just enformed that they have made these single women place their belongings out side as well because they were ordered not to bring too much to the gymnasium that is already overcrowded. Note, some of these residents have anxiety and trauma that they are being forced to relive.

Thank you so much to the staff and residents here at Salvation Army Fort Worth, TX. You all touched my heart and I am blessed that you were able to give me a place to stay and food to eat when I was homeless. Great programs. For anyone dealing with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems, this is a great stepping stone to get back on track. While I can t thank the residents that made an impact on my life publicly as it will be a violation of HIPPA, I want to say thank you to Ms. Gail, Ms. Taylor, Ms. Angela, Ms. Kristi, Chef Michael, Ms. Liz, and all other staff that I forgot to mention. The atmosphere is very cozy. Imagine a college experience you ve never had.

Wouldn t recommend this shelter if your pregnant or have children there s a smaller dorm if the bigger dorm is filled that doesn t have air conditioning and staff and maintenance are aware of this issue and just refused to address the problem a family said it s been almost a week like this with no accommodations they ve refused to open a door to the hall where there is air conditioning or put a fan or anything inside the room but could put a bucket where I assume the a/c leaked from and can have a attitude and when you question it them as to why it s hot

Theyll tell you one thing and then days later they change their minds and make you conform to new rules with each visit when you stay. Not very clean in here either, bathroom is pretty filthy and the sinks are cracked and never properly cleaned, there are rude people that complain about every single thing one person or more do, and you are freezing cold if its around this time of year.
