We waited behind a family that said they had been there 10 minutes,we waited about 15 minutes...no one came to seat us! A couple came to the door saw us waiting,and left,then we left,and as we got in our car,we saw the family that was waiting in there with us,they walked out too! So,they lost 3 families in a matter of 15 minutes! We have gone there before,and they service is never been real good! So,they lost quite a bit of money with all of us leaving! 1st rule of thumb in a restaurant...Never make people wait when you have tables available,because you can always give them drinks,even if the food takes awhile...at least they will be less likely to leave.

Took my kids to IHOP for the endless Pancakes - currently $5 for all the pancakes you care to enjoy (September 2024). A lot of the meals come with the endless Pancakes too, so if youre frugal you could get one of those, fill up on pancakes, and take your meal home. However, this is a sketchy plan. Most breakfast food isnt great leftover, and pancakes do not a full meal make, usually. Still, its a pretty cool deal. My teenage daughter and I put away our fair share of pancakes. Youre not heading to IHOP for a fancy breakfast. But for a quick bite, especially when traveling, its not bad. Service was good, food was served hot and wasnt bad. Its good for the price. I wouldnt take a date here by any means, but for feeding the family on a lazy day or eating on a trip, its perfect. Kid-friendliness: Good place to feed a family breakfast or brunch on a budget.

This place feels abandoned and sad. The day we went for early dinner, there was only 1 server and 1 cook, Was there even a manager there supporting? When you walk up to a restaurant and the windows and doors are filthy its a tall tale sign, I figured maybe just a busy day went inside and literally no one in there. That s when I started seeing all the dirt and everything on the tables and the floor. I decided I wasn t going to eat there maybe get it to go, so i decided to use the restroom and see whats up with that first, sorry but if bathroom is off YOU KNOW THE KITCHEN IS OMGOSH THE SMELL and filth was too much I wanted to run out! Upon walking out i got a glimpse of the kitchen area and legit wanted to throw up! This is s complete dammm shame for a restaurant to be in this shape! Health department needs to visit like YESTERDAY!!! Again SHUT these doors on this place until you all can get it together!!! Someone is going to end up very ill coming here! If only I could give this ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experience ZERO stars I would. We were told we were not wanted after the host sat us at our table. The server JANELLE did not want to serve us. Mind you, the girl was walking around doing NOTHING but mean mugging us as we sat. This place is ran by teenagers, the worst ihop I have EVER been to. Would never stop here again and would not recommend this mediocre location to anyone. Horrible service. I took my son to the restroom and one of the employees walked out without washing her hands. My Wife and I walked in and the server tried to seat us at a booth that was completely filthy with strands of hair and collected dirt in the corner of both seats. The server had on what appeared to be a hooded sweatshirt that was dirty. She (server) was bringing out someones food and the food was tucked under her arm pit while touching her sweatshirt. We left without being served. Sorry IHOP....we wont be back this location.

I ordered online and requested curbside pickup. When I arrived I checked in on the app. I waited about 15 minutes. No one came out with my food. I figured the restaurant may have been busy so I went in. The restaurant was empty and the workers were playing around. My food was sitting on the shelf with the Uber Eats and DoorDash orders and from the temperature I could feel that it was sitting there a while. I guess they didn t care to bring it outside. Customer service is non existent there. OAN: The pancakes were amazing. 4/10

There were only a few people eating and there were close to a dozen people in line and growing. We didn t even eat. We decided to leave and go somewhere else. My friends and I came to this location at 10:30 PM with a very tired 2 year old. (The store and our table was very clean) Our server saw that she was hungry and brought us out a bit of fruit to hold her over. Our server went over the top and we were never missing anything. Bad service, slow, employees on their phone, we cannot sit at table of choice, no plugs for computer to work while enjoy meal with family. Food was cold. This is the same for most locations. I HOPE corporate upgrades their store with plugs at each location, trains stuff to be more friendly. I-hope lost my business until they fix all those issues! I really dont want to come back! We came last Saturday and we waited for a really long time to get seated (we were about to leave when someone finally addressed to us) Afterwards, 2 more costumers came were seated after us and the sever addresses to them before us. we were practically ignored. My wife had to do something to call the waitress attention and had finally she came to take our order. She said she was the only server on floor. Then the waiting continue, we waited for our food for looooooong time. Another customer arrived and after realizing he was being ignored he left. Today We had to come down to the Plano restaurant. The ones that are here are doing their best, but when you have a restaurant full of people and only 2 servers, you re going to have a bad time. So, decided to give them one more chance. As mentioned in multiple reviews, this is one of the worst iHops you can go to - both dine-in and take-out. after multiple bad experiences of dine-in (delayed service, cold omelettes, impolite staff), we decided to take-out through the iHop app. That was worse: ordered twice in the last 1 week and in both instances, they messed the order - incorrect items, missed items. If we go back, they take another 45 -60 mins. They dont even apologise. The response I got was, please contact our corporate office for a refund or wait till we get the food you missed.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We came in expecting a quick service since there were only at least 2-3 families seated in booths, eating. We had 3 families waiting ahead of us but they all ended up leaving. We tried to wait a few more minutes (in total 20 min) no one ever seated us. We had to leave and find a different spot for breakfast. It s either you guys are short staffed or your front is lazy. I think it s time to hire new staff and stop hiring anybody. We will not be coming back to this branch and would rather go to a different location where service is acceptable. You might as well close this iHOP down, 2000+ reviews can barely even make it to 4 stars.

My father and I came in here last week and the waitress and food were phenomenal. We tried again today and the waitress (no issues with her, she was sweet) was beyond slammed and had no help. My food came out after 30 minutes of waiti g with a full raw bell pepper and that was literally all I could taste. I explained to the waitress I didnt want to wait another 20-30 minutes for my food to come back out and she went to speak to her manager who was cooking. The manager, Deanna, told her that they would work on it immediately. After 30 more minutes and seeing 5 tables around us served food I asked for my food to be packaged to go because I wanted to leave. 15 minutes after I asked if we could just have it off the bill and to leave and to speak to the manager. Deanna came out and huffed with her hand on her hip, complained they were short staffed, literally rolled her eyes at me, never apologized, and just told the waitress to give us the bill. I have worked in restaurants and retail most of my life and I dont know if I have ever seen a worse manager. The poor waitress was trying to make it better but her manager literally ignored her (i watched her shake her head and walk away from her) after trying to talk to her again about our situation.

I went with a couple of friends and as we were seated I noticed the table wasnt clean. I requested our waitress ( didnt catch her name, she had mascara on and was responsible for the tables at the back when you enter through the doors) to wipe down our table. This seemed to have annoyed her for some reason. She took 15 minutes to bring out waters and then asked us what we wanted to order. We ordered coffee and then requested her again to wipe down the table since she didnt care to do it when asked the first time. She hesitantly came back wiped down the table and threw 3 coffee mugs on the table. We just stood up and left. I dont understand why these college kids come and work at a restaurant and dont learn the basics of customer service. Such pathetic behavior. Management needs to look into this. I went here around noon on a Wednesday not busy at all. Our server seemed to be nice but was very short and didn t seem like she cared at all. Then the other table there literally had to wave his arm in order for some one to come to his table to help him. Eventually he just got up and went to them due to the lack of service . Went on Christmas night to pick up a ToGo order. Waited 30 minutes after already waiting at home 30 minutes after placing my order. Also saw them had the wrong ToGo order to a person and then chase the person down who was already in their car and then proceeded to get the food and hand it over to another customer.

The food is subpar at best and way too expensive for what it is. the service was absolutely horrible! it s sad when you have to go to the kitchen to get your own stuff because 20 minutes after asking for condiments it hasn t come and now your food it cold. this store should be shut down or put under corporate review and new management. for only having 4 tables in the whole place it shouldn t take an hour and a half to have a meal.

Came in and was told to wait 10min with 2 other families. No prob. This was on a tue, 11am and this place had about 3 waitresses, with about like 7 tables/ families to each lady. Waitied the 10min and were seated. Once seated and given menus we Waited another 10 min for waitress to take our drink order but gave her the meal order so we wouldnt wait an additional X minutes. Well she took another 10min to bring us coffees and OJs. Food came like 15min laterafterwards so like 25+min for food. Part of the order was cold. This specific IHOP is .

We went here for an afternoon meal on 1/4/2023 around 2:30pm. We were not acknowledged while we waited to be seated, although we made eye contact with the staff numerous times. The lady who appeared to be in charge, did not have enough courtesy to greet us. She appeared to have an arrogant and dismissive attitude when we asked her about being seated. As a result we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. This place is not deserving of your business until they hire professional and competent staff.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE...We were a party of 8. I did not receive my order until everyone else at our table were finished with their meals . I asked for a to-go bag because I didnt want 7 other people wait for me to eat. When the waitress brought our bill we asked for the manager. We felt my meal should be compd since I didnt get to eat with my family. The manager (Ashley) said she couldnt do that since I was taking my meal home. (Not the point..I DIDNT GET TO ENJOY MY MEAL WITH MY FAMILY) I then told her well then take my to-go meal and comp me..She then grabbed my to-go box (and I assume she threw my meal away or maybe gave it to another customer..smh) That was the only way she would comp my meal..UNFLIPPINGBELIEVABLE!!!!!...Thanks IHOP in Allen Texas and Ashley the manager..you ruined our yearly family get together ..WE WILL NEVER GO BACK...I feel I should add..Thank you Burger King for being open today on Christmas. Since I obviously did not get to bring my food home from IHOP I still had an awesome bacon burger from Burger King...our new go-to place for Christmas.

My daughter and I just went here to eat. It is 60 degrees and getting dark outside and the ac was blowing so cold our hands were frozen by the time we got our food. We started eating and the cold air was blowing so hard on us that our food almost instantly got cold and my daughters chicken strips were burnt and hard. The waitress barely checked on us so we could tell her it was so cold. When she finally did cone check I told her we were just going to leave because its so cold that our food is already cold. All she saud is Do you want your check She never asked about our concern or anything, just took our money for full plates of food that we left and did not eat.

If I could rate it a ZERO I would. We go there yearly for our Christmas tradition and eat breakfast there. There were 9 of us who ordered food and only 8 plates came. 30 mins later we asked what was the hold up and to our surprise, that plate was given to another table and a new one was supposedly on the way. We asked for the meal to be comped from the bill after they finally brought it, and the manager Ashley at store #3006 said no, I cant take that off the bill, shes still eating it, best I can do is 10%. (Keep in mind: SHE WAS EATING OUT OF THE TO GO BOX THAT WAS GIVEN TO HER BECAUSE THEY TOOK SO LONG!!!) We told her that was not acceptable and we wont be coming back if that was the case. She said ok and walked off with that order in hand, disnt even let us keep it! Not only was she rude she was dirty, her hair was all over the place, and very unprofessional in appearance. Needless to say we wont be going back, ever.

If you like slow service and cold food, not to mention a freezing dining room .this is the place for you! The pancakes and toast were so cold the fake butter wouldn t even melt. Egg whites were slimy raw! The hottest coffee we got was sitting in our car in our travel mugs from home. I can t recommend anything about this location, especially because they weren t even busy to warrant such a terrible experience.

Food is great, but you should have lot of patience. Even though the restaurant is empty, you have to wait atleast 30-45mins to get seated as there was only one people who is handling all customers. And forget about online ordering here, when I ordered Omlette and Pancakes and the order will be ready by 10:10am, when I reached around 10:15am to pickup my order, the person attended me said she will inform the kitchen that I am waiting here, so that they will start prepare food. Its so annoying that they don t care customers who are waiting in the lobby to get seated or for order pickup. Try to avoid this IHOP as much as possible as they don t have any respect to the customers.

Avoid this place, over the past few years this once popular restaurant and gone down hill fast. Corporate or management has lost focus on customer service and properly staffing waitresses and cooks. 45m to get pancakes and an omlett w/5 people actually seated in the entire restaurant. Any new patrons attempting to get seated are being told 45m wait to be seated in an empty restaurant. Its not long before I see this placed closed for good.

IHOP - or as I like to call it, the International House of Pancakes That Ron Swanson Would Cry Over. Now, I used to love IHOP, cherished it as my go-to breakfast haven. But oh, how the mighty have fallen. Every time I step into IHOP now, its like entering a breakfast-themed purgatory. The pancakes are flatter than a pancake-themed dad joke, and the eggs are so rubbery they could bounce their way to culinary infamy. Its a tragedy, a culinary betrayal that even a stoic man like Ron Swanson would shed a tear over. I used to believe that IHOP was a breakfast deity, a haven of syrupy delights. Alas, it has become a sad shell of its former pancake glory. The disappointment is palpable, and every bite feels like a jab at the hard-earned dollars I exchanged for this pitiful excuse for breakfast. Its frustrating, my friends, to work hard for your paycheck, only to have it meet its demise on a plate of lackluster pancakes. IHOP, you were the chosen one, the breakfast champion in a sea of mediocrity. But now, youve become the punchline to a breakfast-themed tragedy. So, with a heavy heart and a growling stomach, I bid farewell to IHOP. I surrender, throwing in the syrup-soaked towel. May your pancakes find fluffiness once more, and may future patrons not experience the pancake heartbreak Ive endured. Ron Swanson would not approve. P.S.: To whom ever responded to my review. My review was not meant to single out the Allen location. My review is about all the IHOP locations each one I visited has become a shell of its former self. This place is absolutely disgusting. Went in at 6:00 am on a Thursday morning. Homeless person in the foyer, the front counter had what looked like vomit on it, was seated by a gentleman in pajama pants and a hoodie. Sat down to a table that wasnt clean, opened the menu with all the pages stuck together. Floor had multiple spills on it. Ordered unsweet tea and before it arrived, I left. Makes one wonder what the kitchen is like..... Dont waste your time here.

Came in with a party of 9 on a Friday night when the restaurant was very slow. Maybe 2 other tables were eating. My niece had requested ihop for her bday dinner. Had to wipe our seats and the high chair down before sitting because they were sticky. Ordered appetizers for the table No small plates offered, no dipping sauce for jalapeño poppers. She never came back to take food orders so we finally tracked her down 30 min later and ordered our food that took 30+ min to come out. When it arrived, it was room temp and my dad found a cheerio in his pancakes. Extra scary because my dad confirmed with the waitress and manager that they don t even sell cheerios! We had to request straws for drinks brought out with lids, silverware that didn t have old food stuck on it, and wait 15 min for a DP refill. Old plates were never cleared from the table so space was an issue. My dad asked to speak to a manager and he took approximately 15 min to even come out and address him and never offered any explanation for my dad s concerns (especially the random cheerio found). Spending time with my family was great, but the food and service not so great at all.
