I ate there last week with my mom, and the ribs were really bad. They tasted like smoke only , and still had the membrane on them. Mom had turkey and said they tasted salty. We ve eaten there numerous times, and it was very good. Before we give up on Spring Creek we will try another location. Hopefully it s better.

Is this top-notch award-winning barbecue, no. But, is it consistent and always good yes. I ordered the brisket marbled and I thought it was very good. The baby back ribs worth a little bit dry but they were tasty. The sides are all really very good. But mostly, they have excellent management and all of their employees are super friendly and efficient. Oh, and the bread is always most excellent and very fresh! They also support our Northridge elementary school every year and we truly appreciate that!

I give it a 5-stars, because for what it is, chain BBQ, this location always has tender, not dried out ribs. It s not on the same level as a Hurtado s BBQ, but if you wanted craft BBQ, you wouldn t be stopping here. But it s always really good for chain BBQ.

My 1st time in Dallas. I should have gone with a younger crowd, who Im sure would have taken me to a more specialized BBQ spot, but I got dragged along with an older crowd that brought me to Spring Creek. Now, Im not saying that I didnt enjoy myself, because overall, I thought it did the job of feeding my hunger. But it wasnt the level of Texas BBQ I was desiring. If I were to compare it to Italian cuisine. I would say that Spring Creek is like the Olive Garden of the BBQ World, but with Amazing Bread. Omg. Their rolls. Hot, delicious, it melts in your mouth. A young lady walks around with a basket of these heavenly rolls. The vibe is a very family friendly vibe. The employees are friendly. The Food is solid. Not good, nowhere near great, but its solid. The portions are definitely on the smaller side, I thought the chicken and brisket were solid, and the ribs were a little better, but the portions were so small, that if it wasnt for the unlimited heavenly bread, I might have given the review 3 stars instead. Dont ever change your bread. That bread puts you over. The fries were also very good. I might come back if I were pressed for time, or didnt want to spend too much on a meal, but I wouldnt recommend it to a first time visitor to Texas BBQ.

This place frequently sends us coupons for buy one dinner get one free, so we have come a few times due to that. We enjoy the older atmosphere and fresh hot rolls they bring around to the community seating style tables. Overall it is definitely not the best BBQ place, however I do like their potato salad and usually I wont touch that stuff. Also, the warm rolls really are good! Friendly service and fun, but without the coupon probably not worth it in comparison to other spots. Kid-friendliness: Great spot for kids! They will love the rolls coming around too.

We ordered BBQ for our graduation party this past weekend and it was ready on time, hot and delicious. They gave us tons of their bbq sauce which will not go to waste. Many compliments from everyone at the party about the great meats, bakes beans and coleslaw. No complaints from anyone and the lady that helped me with my order even helped carry it all to my car. We made our FINAL visit to Spring Creek BBQ last night. I used to love this place, and hadnt been there in quite some time, but its simply not as good as it used to be. Not worth the price. ($50 for two, w drinks). Reading through other recent comments, I think our experience was typical.... dry, rather tasteless brisket, a small amount of thin, anemic, NOT tangy, NOT flavorful BBQ sauce. I used to enjoy the sides, including refills (!), but honestly, even if they still offered refills (which they dont), I wouldnt have wanted them. (The rolls seemed the same) What happened??!!

We were staying at a nearby hotel and asked the front desk where to get good BBQ. She said Spring Creek. We caught a Lyft and were greeted with the smell of good BBQ and a smile on the man behind the counter. He answered a few questions and we were off and running. Filled our plates with 3 choices of meats and 2 sides. Hot fresh baked rolls and some sweet tea. All 4 of us were in heaven. Turns out the man behind the counter was a manager. He stopped by several time with more rolls and polite conversation. We finished off with peach cobbler and ice cream. We waddled out with smiles on our faces. You wont be sorry!

My husband and I went to dinner at Spring Creek on 75 in Richardson for the rib dinner. I was very disappointed with everything at this store. The counters were pretty gross. There was food and cheese sauce All over it. Looked like they had not cleaned it that evening. The food was not hot or filled. Some of the staff members were just standing around. I wout think they would at least clean the counters. The ribs were small and dry. The only thing good that evening was the bread and the server. Ill think twice about spending money there.

It was my first time to order from this restaurant for delivery. I ordered 3 meats platter, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb peppered sausage, and a drink. We used to eat weekly at the Spring Creek BBQ @ Preston & LBJ before it closed. Since then we have eaten several times at the Richardson location. This location is nowhere as good as the Preston/LBJ joint. The rolls here (which is one of the main reasons we come) are consistently not ready at the time we order and we have waited 10-15 minutes to get a roll. The BBQ is also not as tender and flavorful. Small amount of sauce. The sandwich plate is average at best. My family really misses the old location at Preston/LBJ. I don t recommend the Richardson location.

I came to this barbecue restaurant for the first time at a friends invitation. Upon entering the building, it appeared to be an old establishment, with some of the wooden window frames visibly decayed. Although the building interior and the taste of the food were separate matters. the atmosphere was not particularly clean. The barbecue restaurants Ive been to before typically involve placing an order once seated at a table. However, here, I went through a food display area and placed my order directly with the kitchen staff, receiving it immediately. It felt more like an average buffet restaurant rather than upscale. The main menu is featured brisket, ribs, and sausages. I particularly remember the freshly baked bread on the spot.

I looked forward to a great meal when I picked up a meal on Sunday, I was disappointed. I ordered a two meat plate with sausage and sliced brisket. The sausage was nothing special. The brisket had no marbling, had no smoke smell or flavor and was dry. The corn on the cob looked delicious, but was just watery, no flavor. This place was a bbq restaurant of my preference and I guess for many people. Now days has changed for bad, especially food prices that is to high and is not proportional to the amount of food in your plate. Weight per pound is uncertain, it is by what the servant calculate by eye. We went to this restaurant around 7.00 pm and it was almost empty, a time with high demand to most restaurants. Side orders fall in 2 categories, premiun and regular. Of course, premium are extra fee as well. Well, fries are PREMIUM, really ? $73.01 Thats what we paid for old BBQ. I was so very disappointed. This was NOT normal of Spring Creek. This was VERY disheartening. I ordered a sausage plate. I DID NOT receive sausage. I received sliced brisket instead. (SMH) It goes downhill from here... The brisket sandwiches I did order were ALL dry. The meat definitely had to be from the previous day. It was extremely DRY & SALTY on either stale or ripped buns. The sides (mac & baked beans) had ZERO taste. It was as of we only received macaroni (no taste of cheese). Loved SCB 23 years ago before I moved from the area. First trip back since then and Ive been twice this week. As good as I remember. Brisket was tender and juicy and the fresh hot yeast rolls are great!

I ve been going here ever since I was a kid and I ve loved the service. However this past Sunday evening, the curly head teenager worker making the bread truly had the worst attitude and work ethic and made my dining experience truly maddening. He baked one tray of bread at a time which took literally 8-10 minutes per tray which meant only the first 5 tables got bread and everyone else including my family got passed or got only the leftover 1-3buns left in the basket. Even after making a new tray he only went to the same tables and didn t go to the tables he skipped. My party of 6 only got 2 buns in total throughout our entire 40minute+ meal . The crazy thing was that there were already 20 trays of proofed dough ready to be baked in the 4 rack oven. Even serving it truly looked like he did not give a single care in the world. He even kept opening the oven constantly to see if it was ready which meant it took even longer for the tray bread to get made. For a place I loved for their great customer service I was truly saddened by my Sunday experience.

I have been eating at various locations since 1990s. Food is consistently very good. As a senior citizen, trying to have a not too large lunch for a price that doesnt break the bank is hard. My main complaint is paying over $5 for okra that is too large for me too even eat all of, but is one of the healthiest veggies they serve and I need. I live in Denison and when in Dallas area am doing other things and not going home soon. My suggestion to offer a smaller portion was not taken well by the District Manager. They don,t even have senior discounts. Maybe they could get a little more business during those slow hours which is when I go by offering senior citizen specials or pricing. It is so dead at those times. A small lunch with a small okra and tea would be a lot more palatable at the $14.00 +tea than the $21.00 I paid. I could come a lot more often. Vegetarian options: Not enough healthy options

Went yesterday for the 4th and I was expecting some real good barbecue but I was disappointed. Ordered brisket plate and brisket had no seasoning, was a little tough and no smoke flavor at all. Didnt taste bad but just no seasoning and no smoke flavor at all. Side items the same thing no seasoning. Barbecue sauce wasnt good either. Also ordered a sausage sandwich to go and got home same thing. I remember the bread used to taste real buttery but not anymore. Also all carbonated beverages was flat. PLEASE DONT TAKE THESE COMMENTS AS AN INSULT BUT SEE THEM AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE IN CERTAIN AREAS

Recently was there (3 people) at around 4:45 and had to wait at the counter at least 10 - 15 minutes while staff prepared a take-out party order for someone else. There were about 4 associates, and only 2 were preparing the meat, but no one helped us. Our orders would have been very quick, but we were ignored while they chopped all the meat and sausages for a big order. I think someone should have chipped in as the restaurant was nearly empty. (Previous review below) Order was curbside pickup, sandwiches were huge and delicious. My order was correct and brought out quickly.

A stellar BBQ joint with a fun atmosphere and some amazing service. I would consider Spring Creek, and this location specifically, to occupy the upper end of chain BBQ restaurants when it comes to food quality. That is to say that while it does not quite live up to true pit BBQ standards, in some areas it comes pretty darn close. Get their brisket thick cut and marbled, and I also recommend the black pepper sausage. Their baked beans are not of the typical sweet variety but are nonetheless quite tasty, giving you a slight spicy kick. The lemonade is recommended as well
