An upscale preppy vibe with good food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the seared tuna salad. Plenty of bar space but we had a dining reservation. Definitely leave room for silk pie for dessert.

Always a fun spot for happy hour!! My go-to is a peach Bellini (tasted a little more bitter this time) fries, and a cheeseburger! The bar is always full so make sure to get there asap for some seats. The staff is always helpful with helping me decide on my next drink, and they fix it up if it s not something I enjoy. (I usually enjoy the martinis though) I ve had lots of their menu items too: shrimp, French toast, oysters, Mac and cheese, salads, and lobster roll.

Sad to see that service hasn t changed since my first visit the first week this location opened. We were seated and ignored for ten minutes before leaving without any wait staff interacting with us. As we left, the hostess said come back to see us. When I told her that we were never served she gave us a blank stare, so we left.

Hostess sat on a phone call for like 10 mins while we waited to be seated even though the place was empty. We asked if we could have a specific table so we could put the car seat on the bench (see pic below of completely empty restaurant). We were asked if we had a reservation and told we could t sit in that empty section without one. So they put as at a table where we didn t fit and had nowhere to put the car seat, so we asked if we could slide another empty table over so we could fit and were told no, sorry don t know what to tell you . I would have left had it been up to me, absolutely abysmal customer service, apparently they don t like babies or want to accommodate people who have children. Horrible experience, if you have kids, avoid this place.

First of all I would like to say the Hudson House offer s terrible service. Out of all restaurants I ve been to, this is by far the worst service I ve ever experienced. I was refused seating even when there were multiple tables open. Others without reservations were constantly put before me. When I was finally seated the waiter had a very nasty attitude towards me. When I had questions about items on the menu I never received an answer. The food took forever to come out and it didn t satisfy me AT ALL. Overall if I could give this place negative stars I would. I do not recommend.

I took my wife to celebrate. Food was excellent Unfortunately, I cant say that about the service. Waited almost an hour until our food arrived. When asked the waiter why, the manager Scot came and made excuses. A couple days later, speaking with Scot on the phone, he then told me a different excuse. I said I wasnt happy, he offered for his manager Chrissie would call. But instead he sent me her email. I reached out to her, she never ever responded. So sad that a restaurant with such good food has a service problem.

We had an incredible experience tonight. A table was running over so our reservation was sat 15 mins late BUT they were so prompt in informing us, getting us a drink ahead of time and brought us appetizers as soon as we sat down to accommodate/apologize - among other things. I had a reservation tonight, Dec 14, at 7:15 pm... to celebrate my birthday on the 8th... show up, tell reception we are here and get our table... after a few minutes, the manager (Scott) comes over and says they need the table, and he will seat us someplace else... OK, no problem... We wait for a total of 20 minutes, and Scott never comes back to me... I go back to reception, and Scott walks up... I asked for the table he promised us... he offers a seat at the bar... I dont want to sit at the bar and remind him I had a reservation 30 minutes ago... Scott told me that a reservation does not guarantee youll get a table... I said I already had a table, and you evicted us from it and said you had another one waiting... we waited, and then you said you only have seats at the bar... we left without getting a table or dinner... we usually go to the Hudson house at another location, and we go a few times a month, but we will never go back to any location... Worst customer service ever... *update* *update* 06/2024 I have called and sent emails trying to get some kind of resolution or even just a sorry we treated you guys bad, but all I have are crickets...

Ran out of fries, chicken, and took shrimp off the menu and replaced with fried cauliflower. I sat at the bar and everything I needed something I had to flag down the bartenders to ask for anything as they were talking. I got the fish wrap and it tasted bitter and had barely any fish in it. I met a buddy who lives in Addison who recommended coming to this spot. He got popcorn shrimp and a chicken parm while I just got the key lime pie. He said his food was incredible and it looked really good. I can say even eating a ton of key lime pies in southern Florida, this has to be the best pie I ve ever had. I would drive up from Austin just to eat it again. Next time I will try other dishes, but from what I had this spot is great with great staff.

Hudson House is always a vibe on the weekends, they a very diverse crowd and menu as well. Everytime I always have a pleasant experience. My wife got the Hudson Salad which was really good, I love the shredded cheese they use, I always ask for extra cheese. I ordered the French Chicken, which was really good, definitely would order again. This is a definite recommendation to anyone looking for great food and a good time.

Upon my first bite of the tuna and ginger salad, I felt like I just creamed my pants. The tuna still had its familiar sashimi texture in the center, but the edges of the fish were coated in a wonderful seared seasoning. Peppery, salty, savory. The veggie mix balances out with the sweet mango added in, and the tuna combined with the avocado genuinely took me to Saturn. Call me Major Tom from David Bowie s hit song cause I felt like I was in orbit. 10/10, would go back.

Negative 5 review on service. Made a reservation two weeks ago for a table for 3 that includes one child that needs a high chair. We were specific to ask for a high chair in our reservation. We get the family ready dressed and drive 30 min to Hudson for the restaurant to say they have 3 high chairs but non are available. And the soonest one may be available is 30 minutes. We were not notified before arriving that no high chair for our 1 year old would be available. Poor service. No excuse. You failed Hudson House. First time visiting this location. Never again. Took a woman out on a date here, they took a very long time serving us. It was predominantly white people here, & very few black people. The atmosphere seemed to be more for the bougie crowd. Someone recommended this restaurant to me, and Im not sure why. Came on a Wednesday night at 7:45pm and told that there would be a 25 minute wait for a party of 2, gave name and number for text updates. After 25 minutes of not hearing anything, we went back to the hostess, and she said that it would still be ANOTHER 25 minutes for a table. This was confusing because their hours state that they close at 9pm, and by that time it would be close to closing. Felt unwelcome, and we left to go elsewhere.

I wanted to take a moment to express my most sincere gratitude for GM Scott and his team. We placed a very large order online Friday 4/22/24 evening. My team is in Ramadan, and it was time to break the fast....they were hangry to say the least. Unfortunately I did not anticipate that the large order may be misconstrued as fake, or by mistake, and the order was not made. The team at Hudson House had no way to contract me to verify the legitimacy of my order (my own fault) and I was very disappointed that it was not ready when I arrived for pick up. Scott took the time to explain to me the mindset of his Sous Chef and himself. He let me know that in the past they have prepared large orders sent in online and the food had to be thrown away. I completely understand how wasteful this is, and respect the affirmative action that was taken. Scott was kind and courteous, and genuinely takes price in his establishment. The team ultimately expedited my large order so I could get it back to my group of colleagues. The food was amazing, it was hot and fresh and everyone was more than satisfied. Thank you to the entire team at Hudson House, going forward when we place these huge orders I will also call in to let you know that it is not a mistake.

This is an awesome first date spot, or any date/milestone/event for that matter. Incredible seafood, the redfish was next level, impressive martini selection, and the service is top tier. Grayson took great care of us - informative and genuine, attentive, but never once did he interrupt or come across as pushy. Me best friend and I LOVED Hudson house. They have the best espresso martinis. We would go all the time for happy hour and would be regulars with our moms. All of us have a decently high drinking tolerance, most times when we went we would drink at least 5 or 6 espresso martinis each. Yesterday my friend and I went and drank literally 3 espresso martinis and got an order of truffle fries and next thing you know our server Mariela brought our check to the table an hour before the restaurant closed. We were both confused as to why she brought the check already because we planned on getting 1 or 2 more drinks before we left. We called Mariela over and she stated that she didn t feel comfortable serving us more. We were unsure why considering we were completely sober and respectful? We asked her kindly if she would serve us another and she reluctantly did. We finished our drink, again sober, and asked for another, this time she called the manager over. He told us we were cut off because we hadn t eaten much and that I was slurring my words (completely a lie). I m a bartender myself; if I am at the limit to be cut off, I ll be thankful someone cared enough to do so. We were 10000% not at that limit. There were some loud individuals at the bar right next to us. I asked what the indication was to cut me and my friend off to which he did not have a response for. I then got defensive and asked why the obviously intoxicated and obnoxious customers next to us weren t cut off, but me and my friend were. I m not one to be defensive like that but his logic made absolutely zero sense. He said they re just having a good time and to not judge others because we don t know what they ate or how many drinks they had, I just about burst out laughing because he was judging us. He did not know that we had eaten Chinese food across the street before we went over because their food is expensive but instead just jumped to conclusions because we only got an order of fries. The manager was so incredibly rude and out of pocket and I have never felt more disrespected. He then brought up that I should understand considering I m a bartender myself . we sat next to 2 parties who were obviously drunk. No one threatened them. How are you going to tell a regular that you can t serve them a 4th drink because they didn t order enough food? And that the people who were yelling next to them were just having a good time? Why weren t they cut off? The most insane part is that me and my friend were just keeping to ourself and talking quietly about someone we knew. I ll never go back there ever again. I didn t know that I had to eat a certain amount at a restaurant to be allowed to drink. I have a life and eat at other places that I enjoy, then go to drink at other places that I enjoy. I would really reconsider a decision to go here. Really disappointed in Hudson house and their management and will never return.

For a place that is known for its oysters, which I do not eat, I didn t have the highest expectations for other items on the menu, but everything was delicious. The brunch menu is super limited, would be nice if they had slightly more options. We ordered espresso martinis - made from cold brew, they unfortunately don t have an espresso machine, but it was still pretty tasty. I ordered a brunch sandwich and substituted my American cheese for white cheddar. The sandwich was huge and delicious, they didn t skimp on the avocado. Service was excellent, special shoutout to Liam who was our server.

My wife and I had a disheartening experience at Hudson House in Las Colinas on Christmas Eve. Our evening began positively with delicious oysters and well-made drinks. However, as soon as our entrees arrived, the night deteriorated. Under the mistaken belief that the kitchen closed at 8 pm (the restaurant stopped seating at 8 pm), the staff rushed us throughout our entire meal. After delivering our entrees, our server dropped the check on our table and said, Can I get you anything for dessert? This miscommunication led to further disappointment when my Shrimp Dynamite sushi was served extremely cold. Contrary to proper sushi serving etiquette, where sushi should be at room temperature, it seemed hastily refrigerated rather than at room temperature. The apex of our dissatisfaction was our interaction with the General Manager. Instead of understanding and rectifying the situation, his approach was aggressive and dismissive. His lack of empathy and rudeness, especially when we raised concerns about being rushed and the improperly served dish, significantly marred our experience. The GM kept saying, What do you want?... What do you want from me? Trust me when I say we were not trying to get a discount or any part of our meal for free. Having been in the restaurant business, the best feedback you can get is from your customers. But he had yet to listen to my feedback. His lack of professionalism was astounding. I finally said, I want you to leave our table and leave us alone. That is how bad his attitude was. I could not believe how poorly he acted to my wife and me. Overall, what we anticipated to be a romantic Christmas Eve dinner turned into a frustrating experience, starkly contrasting with our previous positive experiences at the Hudson Houses North Dallas location. If I were a stakeholder, investor, or managing partner of this location, I would call to see what happened with the dining service on Christmas Eve. In summary: go to a different location. This location is currently not worth your time and money.

We went here for lunch on a Thursday, busy but not overly so, no wait at all. Our appetizer came out before our drinks, we were never offered refills. We spent $90 for lunch, for 6 oysters, 1 salad, a domestic beer and a house wine. The salad had ginger in the name and the dressing name, but there was no ginger flavor. The mango was very under ripe, crunchy and tastless. The seared tuna on the salad was good.

This was my first time eating lunch at the Hudson House in Addison, Texas. I was meeting with friends and this restaurant was recommended by one of them. We ordered the Beverly Salad, the Big Brother Lobster Roll with Fries, and the Hudson Salad with Grilled Chicken. Everything was high quality and super fresh. The waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was a good place to catch up with friends. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was expensive but worth it!
