My husband and I checked out Uncle Worms for the first time and we had a brisket sandwich. The bbq sauce was very tasty and the meat was tender. The aesthetics seemed to be a shabby chic motif. Omar was very nice and sat down at the table to tell us more about the daily options. They have a different menu item according to which day you go. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely go again.

I came on a Tuesday night for both food and karaoke. Karaoke goes from 6-9pm on Tuesdays on the second floor. I got the Mac Daddy. The food, service, and karaoke were all great! It really started picking up around 7:30pm. Its one of those places where the locals go and all know each other, and everyone was very nice and welcoming.

My wife and I visited about 7 p.m. on a Friday evening, place was reasonably busy but the staff was very attentive and friendly and seated us right away. We ate two orders of the fried pickle spears(we ate the first order so voraciously that I decided we needed another), as an entree she ordered the Rosemary Lemon Chicken and ate every last bite, we then concluded the evening with the smores dessert and really enjoyed that as well(both for the visually pleasing plating and superb taste). We decided we would like to return to try the other offerings on the menu as we had a really great time here.

The food is good, but its not anything I couldnt try making at home. When I eat out I want to get something I couldnt do for less in my own kitchen. That said, I do like the mac and cheese bowls and the service is cordial. The decor is weirdly eclectic for my taste, but my grandmother loves eating here. Food

Place is much more fun and comfortable than it sounds! Very down to earth, owner will come talk to you and explain their history and some of his favorite dishes if you havent been before. They usually have off menu specials and will also try to accommodate your order. Food is very good with giant portions. The BBQ sauce is very tasty, tender brisket. We had the Mac Momma and Omars Nachos. The sweet tea is DEFINITELY Texas style! Very sweet and delicious made in house. Would recommend again especially if you like brisket, cheese, and hearty dishes. Service was very good.

First visit with my wife 3 weeks ago, was not a bad experience. Food was really good, only little complaint was when I ordered my beer at the start of our dining experience, our Waitress admitted to forgetting about it, so I went maybe close to 15minutes waiting on a drink. The next beer order came a lot quicker thou. I think the owner came to see up towards the end of our meal, very nice dude. Wife and I definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu. I got a burger and wife got fried catfish, both were excellent. Loved the waffle fries! Last Friday, went after work to kill some time, just wanted to sit at the bar and experience the setting there. Since I was just drinking beer (No food), only expectation is quick service for when my beer is empty, and the waitress did not fail! Might just make this my to go spot after work.

Forget about all other restaurants in Wacos mediocre food landscape, and dont let the name fool you. Uncle Worms is the insiders secret and is the best food in town. Chef Nate is a Texas treasure, and his dishes are nothing less than inspired. His menu is both elegant and comforting. The building looks like your classic out of the way dive. The inside is welcoming and comfortably casual. If the parking lot looks busy, dont worry, theres plenty of room inside. Park anywhere you can squeeze in and get a table at your new favorite place to eat and celebrate. If you live in Waco, let Uncle Worms bring your taste buds back to life before everyone discovers this place. I would give them 7 stars if it were a choice.

We are visiting the area. Saw the reviews for this restaurant on Google and thought, why not try it. The food for our party of 2 in a group of 5 was not tasty at all! Our cocktails were good. Service was ok with a new waiter. Then our checks came and gratuity was already added and then a credit card fee on top of that. Watch your check if you do go here....but I would recommend trying somewhere else!

Were out-of-towners who, after reading reviews and the menu, decided to give Uncle Worms a try. Bad decision. The atmosphere is nice and the cocktail was good...thats where it ended. Our waiter had been there a month which is why he couldnt tell us what, in his opinion, was good. Then he forgot our chips until we reminded him, didnt know the menu very well, and once dinner came we didnt see him until bill time. Even with that I may have given another star but the food was not good. I ordered the Mac Momma which tasted like macaroni with Buffalo sauce poured over it. My husband ordered catfish which was three small pieces with an off taste, and they had no coleslaw so he ended up with double beans which were not very tasty. Then the bill came. So...for a party of three it was $85.51...if we paid cash. The gratuity was already included in the bill which is not typical for a three-person bill. And if you werent paying in cash add another few dollars to the bill...remembering after tip. If you arent paying attention you may double tip as there is a place for tip when paying with a card. Unfortunately we werent impressed with the food and their bill/tip/card fee, so wont be a return customer.

Food is very flavorful with a more unique menu than most - had brisket dumpling (gnocchi) soup tonight and love the cavatappi pasta dishes. But the dining room is super loud and what looks like LOTS of staff just doesn t get the job done. Wait to be greeted and seated, wait to meet server, wait for the food, wait for the ticket geez. Maybe kitchen is short-staffed but others just stand around or saunter. No hustle zone.

Atmosphere and staff were fine. The food is mediocre and entirely over priced. $12 hamburger was raw (not medium rare, raw). I payed $14 for maybe 1/8 lb of brisket on a bun and some French fries. French fries are a $2 upcharge. My wife payed $12 for a smalls scoop of chicken salad on a bun. All in all it $80 for 2 adults and 3 kids. And that is without drinks. Which is normal... but at other places the portions are much greater and quality is much better. Menu is lacking. Very limited. Food is just ok and one item was dangerously undercooked. For the money I would go somewhere else. Griffs is up the road and for a fraction of the cost you will get a real meal that tastes amazing. And a drink lol.

Delish. Great food all around. Dont be scared to try anything on the menu, I had the salmon and it was top notch, it easily had some of the best taste and exceeded the overall quality level of 99% of your other options, 100% for the price. ; perfectly cooked. Vegetarian options: Ask they will accommodate if possible. They even made chips for my Aunt...she is super picky and was very happy with their efforts. Dietary restrictions: Ask they will accommodate if possible.

Hands down solid experience. Have had it before when he catered a friends party and then my party. 1st time at location and service was spot on Tay was great. The Hostess was great as well. The fried pickle spears are among the best Ive ever had. Im not even a mac n cheese fan but took a byte of kiddos because it looked good and it was. His spin on the Bruschetta was great. Didnt touch the wifes salad it had fruit n nuts in it. but she said it was great. Will be back. Also fellow military active and vets they do appreciate your service and sacrifice and show you that. Will be back. Parking: Its fine Kid-friendliness: Love kiddos Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible

I will just start off by saying that it was okay. My husband being from China Spring saw EVERYONE making remarks about this place on Facebook. He never wanted to try it just simply because the name is not appealing however after weeks of talking him into it we tried it. We got one of their specials for tonight which was shrimp scampi with rice & veggies the entire meal was cold & had very little flavor. My son actually got sick & vomited in the parking lot after eating it. We also got their famous Mac daddy & when the food came out they sat it in front of me & I very quickly regretted getting it solely based on looks. Thankfully, that was not my meal & I got what I actually ordered which the Texas Cajun Alfredo. Much more appealing to eye & had more flavor than the other dishes. As soon as I realized it was dark meat chicken on the Alfredo I did get disappointed because I just simply do not like dark meat & usually restaurants serve white meat. My husband only toke a couple bites of the Mac daddy before he added a bunch of salt, pepper & ketchup to just simply have some flavor. He said it was super watery & not cheesy at all. I personally did not try the Mac daddy so I can not comment on what it tasted like for me. My husband went onto the neighborhood page for CS to voice his opinion like EVERYONE else has & in turn got called awful, not a grown man for speaking up and making a complaint & having Twitter fingers from the owner himself. We love to support small businesses however when you take a review so personal to the point where you are calling names & trying to be intimidating it s embarrassing for your company. We did not want any problems, we know that places have off days & that s fine. We were very willing to try it again however at this point I would rather spend my money elsewhere. I wish the best for this place & hopefully the owner will understand this was nothing personal, it was just simply an opinion.

This was our 3rd visit here and has never disappointed! This is a fairly new restaurant in our area with menu options that are outstanding! Weve tried the BBQ meatballs with purple mashed potatoes so dang good. The Ribeye is absolutely amazing as is all the food. The pit flavor sets this place apart. The Mac Momma and Cajun pasta were wonderful meals as well. Waffles fries and brisket sandwich were delicious. Service is always great and a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly employees. I hear they make their own chips as well.

First time experience was amazing! We walked in and were immediately welcomed by the hostess followed by the owner Justin B Worm , he offered us a variety of seating areas which felt like a mini tour since it was our first time there ! Loved it ! Felt very at home vibe! Secondly our waitress Abrielle ABL made this experience of Uncle Worm s Texas Cuisine top tier, very informative to all of the favorite meals and drinks on the menu. I loved how she recommended what to try next time we come back! Everything about her service was on point! Very personable! Definitely will be back for the amazing food and to see our waitress ABL!!

It s hard to write a review that can reflect the quality and flavor of the food here; there are not enough superlatives. Our party of 10, with a few picky eaters, had no complaints. You could choose anything on the menu and not go wrong. On a side note If you re picky about the parking lot, you re worrying about the wrong things in life (see previous review).

Was very good food with neat cuisine. The upstairs was relaxing. Music was just the right volume, and the waiter was entertaining. Only gave 4 total stars because of the price. Food was decent portions, but i believe to be 5 stars, there needs to be rolls or some kind of welcome snack that would compliment the menu. I will return again.

As far of what you think as a smoke house, there are no ribs, briskets--- things I would think of being at a smoke house. The salads, pasta have brisket, chicken chopped into the dish but there is not barbq here. The mac daddy was ok -good flavor but the food was served ina metal dish. the dish was cold. So,whatever heat might have been in the mac daddy it transfered to the metal and became cold quick. I wouldnt drive this far out just to eat here. If on this side of town, maybe. Try the burger.

I was disappointed with Uncle Worms restaurant. The menu was very limited compared to the one they post Online and some of the food they did offer they were out of from the night before. I had the feeling the staff arrived just moments before we did. I had the Cavatappi Alfredo with chicken and it was not good. The smoked tomatoes were watery. Since when is pasta Texas Cuisine? I am not sure that I would go back.

Let me start of with this.. Food was pretty good. Our server was on point till the table clearing. Parking is a dirt lot find a spot and go. I was disappointed with the small menu options. And to me when you say Texas cuisine you think of country style cooking, fried chicken, okra, chicken fried steaks or even hamburger steaks just examples. The hostess bout ran my mother over trying to return to her station. No excuse me, nothing. You would think this day and age you could get a changing station in the mens room manager didnt really seem to care but did listen. On a good note good atmosphere good music selection. Food was hot and came out with a quickness. Parking: Dirt lot find a spot
