Been here twice recently. The first time was for my birthday (Aug). I wanted to try the bairdi crab as I never have had it, but they were out. The waiter started out strong but then started disappearing. He was semi rude when he brought my birthday dessert. The second time we went was for my anniversary (Sept). Again, I wanted to try the bairdi crab, this time, I was NOT disappointed! OMG, a large crab leg cluster with huge portions of crab. Though I could of eaten much more! Waitress was perfect! And they brought my husband ice cream and sang him Happy Birthday as it was his birthday as well.

It is the only red Lobster in Abilene. good seafood, but had to give it a one star for the area of atmosphere because they still have the tank where you can pick your lobster from. which I find inhumane. Walmart did away with that idea a long time ago.

I recently visited Red Lobster and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The service was poor, the food wasnt up to par, and the wait time was way too long. Our server seemed forgetful and didnt provide the level of service we expected. Overall, it was a letdown. 8/25 Visited this location around 7:30pm. Service was well, however there s extremely too many flying insects in the restaurant to enjoy your food.

Tammy was our server and she was witty, funny, and down to earth. I felt like I was at home being serviced with love ones. I enjoyed my experience and i will be coming again and sitting in her section every time. She made my birthday visit very special and for that I am grateful.

I have visited this Red Lobster in the past, and I was not impressed with the service. However, my grand babies insisted on getting seafood, so I decided to give it another chance. After this visit, my feelings have flipped around. We had a petite young lady who was very attentive and kind. She was always making sure we had enough Cheddar Bay Biscuits and full glasses of water. Our food did take a long time to come out, which a little upsetting. However, our waitress was very attentive checking up on us and doing what she could. At the end of my visit she left me a sweet note on the receipt with a doodle cat . Will be visiting this location again.

I am in town on a work trip. I have one night in Abilene and I came to this restaurant. It s an old favorite of mine and most across Texas seem to have shut down including my sorta local one in Bryan, TX. The foods the same which I appreciate but the service here was really really good which made the not as exciting as other locations decor and atmosphere better. Nonetheless the place is clean and staff is great so I would recommend it. I had a waitress named Kehaulani and she does and excellent job. I would ask for her.

Well, let me tell you about my experience at this Abilene Red Lobster. My wife and I We had a young lady named Kaylee as our server, bless her heart. She was the only server on duty, mind you, but still managed to keep a smile and look after us. She was kind and never missed a beat, even with all those tables to handle. Well surely be back for her excellent service.

We visited July 3rd 2024, we arrived at 7 PM and we re not given our food until almost 8 PM, jokes were made from waitress as if it was dicks we asked for napkins was told no you can use ur shirt hahaha yes, because I m definitely paying for you to crack jokes not My father was already very upset with the waitress. We finally received our food I cut into my steak. I let her know that it was very tough and she just looks at me and goes. Oh sorry.. We spent $140 Two children and three adults, The food was nasty. The portions were small. I ve never felt more disrespected. We also heard the waitress cussing along with the other customers in an extremely unprofessional manner, I chose to not cause a scene and speak to the manager, however I will be calling tomorrow to let them know about our experience. We were the first people in there out of three other tables and we were one of the last ones to be served. I will NEVER spend another dime at this red lobster, truly saddening as it used to be a family favorite ! Shame

The worst service I have ever had at any Red Lobster. The place was far from crowded but we still waited a ridiculous amount of time for our food. The Brussel sprouts were cremated and the lobster mashed potatoes were hideous. We had guest with us and didnt want to embarrass them by complaining about the food or service which the waitress was loud and obnoxious.

Exceptional food! We were the very first ones in the restaurant so we got the pic of seating. Service was fast and very good weight staff. We did have one problem, but our waiter was very quick and attentive. We will definitely come back anytime we are in the area! One of the better red lobster restaurants we have experienced! Only reason for the atmosphere was that we were seated next to a childs Birthday Party and one of the kids was extremely loud and shrill so much that we could barely have a conversation. Our server Erin was SUPERB! Very attentive, went above and beyond to make sure our we had an excellent experience. As she seated us, she asked if we were celebrating anything. She is the picture of customer service! She is 7 months pregnant and was outshining the other waitstaff. Dietary restrictions: I have diverticulitis. Therefore, I cant eat rice. Some places, especially seafood places, have limited side options. Red Lobster had plenty of options to choose from instead of limiting to steamed vegetables. Kid-friendliness: Coloring books, crayons, and great assortment of kids menu items. Wheelchair accessibility: If you have physical restrictions, Red Lobster is the place to go. I dont use any devices, but there is plenty of room to navigate a wheelchair, walker, etc. Tables arent crowded together.

Wondered why it wasnt more crowded on a Friday night. The food was hot, but all had a fishy taste. My wife and I both ordered shrimp. Hostes was nice. Waitress was nice and good at attending our table. After we sat and ordered we waited on our food for approx 1hr. I ordered a salmon and it was burned which was too much for me. So I was told if the general manager would cook me another one would that be ok? If i did not get another salmon then the GM would come talk to me. I took the reorder, It took another 10mins. By then I was no longer wanting the food as I ate a chicken tender from my nieces plate and 4 biscuits. I was hungry!! It was better. What was a huge disappointment is that there was no visit from the GM at all. No apologies from the manager, only the Waitress. In any restaurant if there are any issues with the customers food the manager or GM would touch base with the customer and apologize. I got a how was everything? By then we were now there 1 hr 45mins. I just wanted to leave. I will never go there again. We only went to take my mom here as it is her favorite place. It was so disappointing.total bill was over 100 with tip. Absolutely not worth it. I will stick to Eddie Vs for seafood!!

Had lunch with my son. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. The lobster was fair. The best part of the meal was the biscuits and iced tea. The stuffed mushrooms were stuffed with some sort of stuffing that was similar to Stove Top brand. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant straight from a box. The broccoli had a weird taste. We had a large party of 20 & I must say everything was top notch! Our server, Macey was very friendly & attenative to our needs. With a larger party everyone tends to want something at different times and Macey was very good at keeping up with everything from the drinks to making sure we were all taken care of. Sadly cant make reservations, they do call ahead, but it really doesnt matter, arrived, table for 6 30 minutes, no biggy, added two more after 30 minutes said 45 minutes, even table for two were waiting long time, said hostess were also cleaning and bussing tables. I ordered the endless shrimp which I ended up regretting because of how long it took to bring out additional shrimp each time asked. Atleast 15-20 mins. I was here for 2 hours. I could understand if it were packed busy but it was a slow Wednesday evening. Most times waitresses were just sitting down. The food was good, atleast. Just wish my waitress were more attentive and I would have had a warning on wait times prior to ordering. So we sat down and waited for almost an hour watching others that finished their dinner leave and still they sat nobody. A gentleman said they had been there over an hour and asked what the wait was. She told them they ran out of food and had to prep. We continued sitting there and watched countless customers walk in and leave after being told it would be an hour wait with almost nobody seated in the restaurant. Wanted to introduce my friend to the wonderful world of seafood. Red Lobster totally disappointed!!!! After I had talked so highly about the restaurant. They completely FAILED!!! We showed up at 7:45 the restaurant was empty about 4 tables that were occupied. We were seated at 8:01. Drinks were not placed until 8:16. I literally had to flagged down a waiter to grab their attention. Then was asked to hold on while they found someone. When our waitress (Nita) arrived she was very polite and apologized for the wait but acknowledging that we had been unattended for a while. It is now 8:27 and our drinks just arrived with the restaurant closing at 9!!! I just requested to speak to the manager. Let see how long this takes... The manager Steven arrived at the table at 8:32. He was very compassionate and understood the frustration in my voice. Between Steven and Nita they both made up for the service that we received prior!! They made sure that the experience for my friend was pleasant and brought out different entrées for her to try!!! Started off bad ended strong ! So if you happen to stop in ask for Nita she will most definitely take care of you!!!

Shrimpfest is Amazing! They have a few new added flavors of shrimp, to the already great variety. The dragon fire shrimp and tequila lime grilled, were my two favorite. Michelle was our waitress and did an amazing job, super sweet, polite and made sure we had anything we needed. We were also checked on by the manager to make sure we were satisfied with everything.

I ordered the Ultimate endless shrimp combo with bacon and mac n cheese and a Starry soda, my friend ordered the same Ultimate endless shrimp combo with a side salad and thousand island dressing and a Dr pepper. We tried out the shrimp linguini the garlic shrimp scampi the coconut shrimp the tequila lime shrimp and also the Walt shrimp. We also tried the dragon shrimp and sweet chili sauce. Of course that couldnt be a true Red lobster visit without their world famous garlic cheddar biscuits! Not to mention for starters we had the clam chowder amazing I must say. Me and my friend both agree that the best dishes on point were the garlic shrimp scampi and the tequila lime shrimp. Our server Anthony was an awesome server made sure our drinks are always filled and did not rush us while we were eating. I do recommend asking for him if you ever stop by Red lobster in Abilene. Excellent service excellent food and an awesome atmosphere! Good place to eat if you need a nice place to go out or if you just need your shrimp fix. This would be the place. Pictures posted with this review were the dishes that I consumed. Parking: Plenty of parking spots however about 60% full when I dined there. Kid-friendliness: I did notice kid booster seats available. Wheelchair accessibility: There was a wheelchair accessible ramp at the main entrance allowing access to the restaurant.

It s honestly sad cause we use to love this place. But when you order the create your own ultimate feast and only two things out of it is edible that s sad. We spent almost a 100 and most of it went in the trash ! Even the steak was off, it was almost orange in a way? All the shrimp was complete mush, the pasta itself has nothing on it as far as sauce. Just sad. Only thing we could eat was the lobster mashed potatoes (couldn t eat the actual lobster though) and the crab legs which were delicious as always Just isn t the way it use to be sadly, save your money :(

Dont order the endless meals. Service here is extremely slow. It took them 20 minutes to bring fresh shrimp after my initial order. Rice and potatoes were cold, suggesting they sat too long in the service line. Waiter seemed intent on avoiding our table. I came from the DFW area to celebrate a birthday party at this location in July and again last night, October 7th. Both times we had a very large party and on both occasions, we were very dissatisfied with the service and food. We were seated at 7 pm but did not receive our food until 8:15. Most of the party ordered wndless shrimp. My shrimp scampi was cold and lacked flavor. My dads food was dropped on the floor. The server said she would replace the fried shrimp that was dropped, but when she returned, there were very few shrimp on the plate. The server was nice but not attentive. Empty plates werent removed from the table until the end of the night and service was very slow. We asked for additional napkins 3 times before we received them. When we visited in July, we had a different server and a very similar experience. Are you all not equipped to handle large groups?

My server was not very attentive. I had the AYCE Shrimp and I got to choose 3 to begin with. My Caesar Salad come at a reasonable time. It took forever for the shrimp to come to the table. As I was finishing the shrimp I started off with my server come by to ask me for my next selections. I only wanted 2 this time and they were prepared and to my table really fast. The server asked how the food tasted. It was 6:30 pm and the restaurant was about 25% of capacity. So, it had a dead feel to it. I was shocked that the manager didnt make rounds checking in with his guests.

Enjoyed the heck out of some endless shrimp! Our server Shadow was just the right amount of attentive to the point where it didnt feel like she was hovering but we were always set on food and drink refills! Perfect way to spend a birthday lunch. Ill be going again for that CRISPY DRAGON SHRIMP!! !! Also the rice finally improved again. I used to stay away from it since they changed it but this time around it was really good!

We came for a special event for our family and left pretty disappointed for multiple reasons. Service was slow...waitress seemed up beat and lively however was also gossiping openly in the booth next to our table to another employee who was there eating in their off time. Talking about telling a member of the kitchen staff not to microwave the shrimp. Not exactly something you want to hear....while eating shrimp. Not to mention, employees yelling to each other in the back kitchen the entire time (we were there for roughly 2 hours). The staff that we interacted with lacked professionalism and seemed to serve their off shift friend more. And the crab legs, my goodness, just dont get the crab legs. Cant believe we paid $40 for little to no meat on them.

Alexia was our server and she was really good. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp and lobster street tacos and they were delicious. My wife had the New Orleans salmon and brussel sprouts and she really enjoyed them. Been back several times and the food is always excellent and the service is always great.

First time I ve been to a red lobster, very good service and the endless shrimp was also good. The professionalism of the staff was noticeable as there was an embarrassment of a family causing issues with one of the waitresses. She handled it well and did her best to help everyone in her section despite the insults hurled her way for said family. I would come back and recommend you stop by.

Went for endless shrimp and the wait for the first plate was so long, we decided to leave. What a ripoff after waiting 30-45 minutes to get your first plate and youre still sitting there with no food.Ive been to this location before, but it was pre-covid and the service was great and the food was delicious. I dont intend to spend 4 hours getting my fill of endless shrimp. Im not going back.

The food was amazing as always! Our waitress was so sweet and worked her butt off all night long. The wait was a bit long, but no worries. We came on a Monday evening. All you can eat shrimp! The only small downfall, it was so cold, almost miserable. The wait area was miserable, and once we sat down, it was still cold , but not as bad. I seen others leave to grab jackets. Grab you a jacket when coming for a visit!

The steak was disgusting.. the crab legs were cold the coconut shrimp was supposed to be giant shrimp and was not but still had to pay for the baby shrimp that was not even coconut like they said was supposed to be.. We (family of 4, 12 & 6 yo kids) just ate at Red Lobster $110 after tax and tip. My wife had steak and shrimp, she said it was the best steak shes had in Abilene, and was perfectly cooked to med-rare. I had endless shrimp. The shrimp was perfect. Ember (our server) was amazing. Super friendly, drinks were never less than half gone before she would have a refill for us. Its been years since Ive eaten here, but we will definitely be back soon.

I think they overestimated what a pound was. They gave us a lot of crab for a lb. this time and it was a welcomed surprise. Thats not typical of Red Lobster not sure if it was just an anomaly because they were pretty empty that day or what. Oh it was crab fest which may have something to do with it. Either way good experience.

Even tho the kitchen was short staffed our waitress, Ember, was excellent, attentive, apologetic and grateful for our patience and understanding. The food was delicious beginning with the cheddar biscuits down to the shrimp scampi. My husband and I ordered the All You Can Eat Shrimp and were both pleased. The shrimp was tender and not tough, the brussel sprouts were awesome and if I werent so full Id have tried some dessert. We will be back.

Went for the Endless Shrimp as I do every year. Taste was good as always. It I was disappointed with the very basic offerings. Same ole stuff they have every year. Not a fan of the fried stuff and the coconut one is definitely not a choice I make. So it s grilled and scampi for me unless they offer some different variations as they have in the past. Siracha, Bacon Scampi,Teriyaki are a few good ones I can remember from the past. My wife enjoyed this Blue drink. She loved it. It had glittery edible stuff floating around in it that gave it a cool look. Sorry, I can t remember the name of it but I think it may have been a special Mothers Day offering. Overall, I ll go back, good as usual and worth the 20.00.

Waited 2 hours for our food, everyone at our table ran completely out of our drinks and did not get a refill till our food came. When it finally came, my pasta was warm but looked as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for the past hour. The crab in my Alfredo was chewy and tasted like it had been microwaved. Horrible service and an overall horrible experience.
