I m going to preface this by saying I am a 100% pho snob. I m from LA, and I eat pho at different places at least once a week. I came here because it was down the street from my hotel, and I ordered the pho tai (rare). The broth was incredible! Super flavorful! The meat was tender and delicious, the noodles were more of an al dente but I really liked that because they didn t get too soft by the time I was at the end of the bowl. I wish they had bun rieu because with pho this tasty, I m sure it would be amazing.

I had a Vietnamese noodle dish with grilled pork and an egg roll, and it was delicious, some of the best I have had in the area. The staff was amazing, and my drink never went below 1/2 full. The other people I went with jad fish and wings and they kept praising the taste. The atmosphere was very nice. I will definitely be going back.

07/13/2024 Lunch. I had the #1 Ch Giò (3 fried egg rolls plated with fresh green leaf lettuce and pickled carrots. Served with Fish Sauce). And the #23. Bún Tôm Th t N ng (vermicelli noodles with chargrilled pork with an egg roll & 2 Grilled Shrimp served with shredded lettuce, carrots, cucumbers and peanuts. Both were better than I expected, although everything tasted a bit sweet, which, for me, will likely become an issue after a few visits. But for now, eating here is an enjoyable change of pace from the typical Texas food in Port Arthur. I asked the owner why his place was so busy at 2 pm on a Saturday, and he said it was bc The food was good and the wait staff were nice. 100% true! 4.5 stars for food (sweetness prevented 5 stars), 5 star service (I love it when servers own their job and are excellent!), and the pricing is 5 star (pre-pandemic cheap). I will definitely be coming back until I get tired of the sweetness! An Excellent meal today! Rating first impressions: Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. A special place. V Good: Better than I expected. Avg: An everyday meal. Just OK. Fair: Below par. Dirty, bad odors & or flies.

Amazing Pho place. Quite possibly the best in the Beaumont/Port Arthur/Nederland area. Will definitely come back. Only a few things I didnt like; we had to ask three times to get more sprouts and mint leaves for our table (we had three of us all order pho noodle soup, and they only brought one small plate of the vegetables to add), and the parking space gets limited because of the sheer amount of customers that come here. But that level of busy-ness is a great sign for a restaurant.

Mama Kim s is a great place to eat. The pho Tom and Bgan/ pork dish was outstanding and loaded with flavor. The service was exceptional as well. I went in about 40 minutes before closing and they acclimated me extremely well. A couple with 2 kids came in just before closing and they stayed open late just to accommodate them. Give them a try if you haven t. If you leave hungry it s your fault. More than plenty in any serving I saw! Great job mama kim team! Kid-friendliness: Very friendly atmosphere but not noisy. Me and my family got out of the gym later than what we expected. I was craving Vietnamese food. I called because it wasn t too long before they closed and the owner told me we were more than welcome. As a small business owner I know what it is to stay late for someone and they certainly did not have to do that for us, but they did. Food is always amazing. The service is always friendly and you can really tell by how the owners are involved in the running of the business how much they truly care. I highly recommend Mamma Kim s to everyone who cares about where their hard earned money goes!

We went to try it out for the first time trying pho and I was not disappointed. The food was really good and the people were so nice. The sauce that came with the Cha Gio (egg roll) was really good! And we asked the waitress about it and she was very knowledgeable about everything. We ll definitely be back :)

Second visit. The service is impeccable. The ladies (and handsome tall gentleman) are genuinely caring, professional, very efficient. Going here is a wonderful experience for me and friends. The food is hot, fresh, and delicious! My only complaint ...we need more selections of adult beverages! Something sweet, on the rocks and frozen! And domestic beer! My daughter and I love coming to Mama Kim s. Every Friday, they serve smoked brisket pho which sells very quickly because everyone loves it. My daughter is a vegetarian and eats the Pho Khong with cabbage instead of noodles (pictured). She also loves the hot jasmine tea. I typically have the pho but recently have been trying the #32 which is beef cubes over rice (forgive me but I don t know the name of it yet I just know it s wonderful). We also get a side salad. We love the atmosphere here as well, but more than anything, we love Kim! She s so sweet and such a diligent person who always has a smile on her face. She really cares about her patrons. My daughter has known her since before she opened this restaurant and became so close from visiting her at the restaurants she has worked and now owns that she sees Kim as family. Kim, we love you and are so proud of your hard work. We look forward to all of your accomplishments and getting to see all the smiles you put on the faces of the people you serve. Vegetarian options: Anything on the menu is modifiable to be vegetarian.

We went last night with a party of 2 around 6:30 and were seated immediately. They were busy but continued to seat people. We sat and looked at a menu a party of 2 was seated behind us and someone took their drink order then 2 more were seated with them a few minutes later. We waited because there was a young lady bringing out food to other tables and we thought perhaps we were in her section. I kept looking up toward other servers to see if I could make contact with anyone but it didn t happen. The table of 4 got their drinks and put in their order . We waited a little more and 12 minutes later got up and left, no one ever noticed. Parking: Parked next door because parking area was full

We ate here and the food is very good, especially for the prices! We enjoyed it so much weve since ordered takeout twice. Its been consistently good every time! My only gripe is the seating was cramped where we were. I had people checking out behind my chair and staff running plates back and forth beside us all night. I dont like crowds at all, so it was a bit overwhelming. My husband pointed out it was just our table, so.... overall, obviously, we will be repeat customers, which is a big compliment from me!

Ive been eating here for about 5 years (before and after Kim bought it). Best pho and vermicelli bowls out of all the places Ive tried in Beaumont and the nearby area. Better prices too! Kim improved on the good thing Pho Ha had. My faves: brisket pho or the pho with all the meats. Chargrilled pork spring rolls with peanut sauce. Vermicelli bowl with chargrilled pork, shrimp, and egg roll. The parking lot was full, but tables were available and service was quick.

My pho journey started about 8 years ago here in my hometown where I met Kim. I have traveled all over the state and ate pho in numerous cities from Lumberton, Tyler, Dallas, Austin, and Houston. When I came home, I learned that Kim opened her own restaurant and I knew immediately I needed to go try it. Having eaten pho at no less than 20 restaurants over the years, Mama Kim s by far exceeds them all, including the restaurant where I originally met her. As well, the atmosphere is beautiful and inviting. You could go here for a date or casually on a lunch break from work. Kim is one of the sweetest people I know and takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. Her staff are friendly and make you feel at home. I am including a picture of my pho tai (well done) with which I asked for shredded cabbage instead of the noodles, added a little sriracha (I enjoy a little bit of spice), sprouts, shredded basil, jalapeños, and squeezed lime juice into it as well. Highly recommend coming here or you will be missing out! As the sign in her restaurant states, All you need is love & pho. This restaurant offers an industrial feel combined with Amazing food and friendly staff. They are only open Monday thru Friday, but we have never had problems getting a table. They also offer orders to go and delivery service options. We LOVE going there for a change of pace and have had nothing we did not enjoy. They also offer catering if you need to have lunch for a group that may be too large to go for an in restaurant meal. I highly recommend Mama Kims to anyone who likes Asian cuisine.

Wings where a hit !!!! Perfect heat , had spring rolls those fried rolls, then the shrimp rice plate no 31 . friend of mine had the no. 21 beef I think. Touch of ginger in the shrimp really gave a great taste. Service was constant , they refilled me the whole time. They do have a service fee which I m not quite used to but $60 ticket $2 and some change I guess for the credit card charge . All in all I recommend and will try em again soon!!!!!

I eat Vietnamese food often. All around the country. Menu is simple but has all the good dishes. Spring rolls were 5 Chargrilled pork was very good! Perfect flavor. Pork bun Bo hue was a very good rich fresh broth. A lot of meat included. CLEANINESS Restaurant is very clean and pretty decor. Most Vietnamese restaurants have sub par service which is most frustrating part of wanting Vietnamese food. But this place has great English speaking staff and very attentive! Loved it here! Absolutely delicious!!!!! The wait staff was kind and very courteous. I got the hot wings (they were sweet and spicy, crispy... PERFECT!!) and a bowl of Brisket Pho ... AMAZING! We also got the shrimp and pork vegetable wraps and they were so good I ended up getting extra orders to bring home. I recommend going earlier around 11am because they filled up FAST and the place was crowded quickly which was great for the ambience. This place traded their soul for a clover wall and a neon sign. Pho Ha used to be my favorite place to get pho. Always fresh, always good, used high quality ingredients. Now that theyve moved locations the food went way downhill. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was coagulated and old, the rice was mushy broken grains and the meat in the pho is of very poor quality. Shame.

Not as good as when they were Pho Ha. Service was lacking and the tables were not cleaned properly. Pho Thai Nam was bland, the beef was over cooked and tough. Disappointed.

The best pho soups that I have found on the east side of Houston. Not sure what they do with their recipe, but the taste is amazing!!! They are moving closer to the freeway exit and changing the name to Mama Kim s I think. Looking forward to the new location because it is easier to stop in when we are heading home. Service is always great, and courteous. Glad to have found this place!!

Superb flavor at an excellent price. Their vermicelli bowls are hearty, tasty, and flavorful, and the soups are served with fresh basil leaves which add a wonderful aroma and elegance. I ve been here in the Twin City area for almost two weeks on business and this place easily beats others 3x the price. My top pick for lunch if you are in the area.

All of the varieties of phó I have tried from here are so good but I am especially fond of the chicken and the shrimp. Their salt and pepper wings are the best anywhere around and the service here is always incredible.

I really love the grilled pork pho, number 9 on the menu. I love that it comes home deconstructed so I can serve myself how much I want to eat. I usually eat half of an order of pho and save the other half for the next day.
