All the lights are on the open sign is on so I pulled in. I m pulling a trailer so I have to park in the parking lot walk across the parking lot to find out the doors are locked. Worst part is I am handicapped. all they gotta do is turn off the sign or change their hours. It is 10:30 PM. They are closing ahead of time.

Right when I am walking in the door I was greeted with a bunch of dirty looks. Ordered a chicken queaadilla had no chicken or cheese. Ordered a chicken chilada platter had no chicken covered in cheese . Gave me double refried beans no rice. They were not even busy to top it off. Out of the four locations I always have choose the one judge ely very disappointed

I always regret dining here. I want to have a good experience but I would need to be without eye sight for that to be possible. Food handling sanitation has been horrible here for about 10 years. I have seen employees come in from outside to the register take my order give me change back then go to making food. No washing hands no gloves. I had to tell the manager that was working on the food line that he needed to wash his hands. I have seen plenty of underwear with their pants below their butt. Most recently the manager was in the middle of making a burrito and grabbed her cell phone to answer a call and continued making the burrito.

Taco Bueno y all must do better !! I ve been coming to Taco Bueno since I was 18. I m 61 now. I ve always loved the the food. But it has really went down hill. Me & my grandchildren went the other evening (3/2/24) were there about 40 minutes, no one else came in, no one drove though the drive thru. You can t survive that way $$$. Anyway I ordered 3 tacos, they were hard & stale. I write this review to encourage y all to do better.

I went to Taco Bueno, on N Judge Ely Blvd, Abilene 79601, last Friday. They have a 3 item deal for $6. The food was great and the service was good. About 10 years ago, this Taco Bueno had new management and the food and service left alot to be desired. About 2/3 years ago, I think management changed again, and their food, cost for amount of food you get, improved and continues to improve every time I go. Its nearly back to when they first opened up here at this location. Glad theyre going back to the good old days.

The staff did not seem like they wanted to be there at all! Very rude, were not wearing hair nets, place was a mess, and unfortunately a worker had her 3 little kids crying and running around while she yelled at them, I feel bad she had to work like that. Hopefully something can be done about this because this is a busy area being around a Major university.

Reason for the low service rating is that the drive-thru people were very brusque with us. They had had a negative interaction with a customer before us, and it was clearly affecting their customer service. I dont think they were to blame though, only a Superman can have that kind of interaction and not be a little messed up. Also they no longer have the item I loved as a kid, the cinnamon chips. Not really a bad thing, but I just wanted to include it.

Ive visited your establishment quite a bit recently. I always use the drive through. On one of those occasions, it was a young man working the window, and he has been the only one to ask if I want the regular or fire roasted salsa. The rest of the employees just put salsa in the bag and hand it through the window, and dont even say have a good day or anything like that. On the occasions that I havent been asked, Ive asked for it. Typically it is a younger black woman working the window, and she usually says were out, doesnt apologize or anything and slams the window shut. At 4:53PM today, I visited your location, and both the black woman and a white woman were working the window. I asked for fire roasted salsa, and both of them said that youre out. I found it to be odd that youre supposedly out of it on so many occasions, so I went inside, and voila, the salsa bar was FULL OF IT. I got the white womans attention, pointed at the salsa bar, and said you do have fire roasted salsa over there, and I KID YOU NOT, she says, (rolling eyes) ugh, I am not walking from the drive through window over there to get it. You can imagine that frustrated me greatly, so I followed up her response with, thats called laziness.... to which she rolled her eyes again and walked off. So for you fine patrons in this city that visit this location, be fully prepared to be lied to by multiple staff. Apparently theyre lazy and just flat dont want to work.

This Taco Bueno is located at 825 N Judge Ely Blvd in Abilene, TX. 79601 My 2 friends and I sat down and waited for our food, and they called us pretty soon. I ordered 1 beef quesadilla and 2 beef tacos and 1 beef burrito. Our food came straight from their register counter to our table in a short moment to get it there, and we started eating. I noticed that my beef tacos were cool to cold by touch and the ground beef is very finely ground up as if they do not want to use very much when they make them and the beef was cool to the touch and unseasonably flat tasting. I discovered my tacos were made the same way. Very finely ground beef like it was grits and no flavor and cool to cold throughout the food. I have not eaten at Taco Bueno in years, and the last time I did was at this same location, and I had a very disappointing meal. If you like cold food, cold tacos and cold quesadilla, and cold burritos right off the preparers cooking line, then Taco Bueno might be just what you are looking for. I believe that food that is supposed to be cooked hot should be served hot in the first place. I did not bother to go to the counter to tell them what is wrong because I will never go back to Taco Bueno ever again, even at the simple suggestion of my friends like this time. I do not like cold Mexican food that is tasteless and supposed to be cooked properly and hot when it is served. Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicapped parking.

Why is your phone off at 10:30pm when it says the place closes at 11pm? Could it be because the staff was all gathered by the window watching a police officer stop a driver? I couldnt even get through my order when the employee at the drive thru said, we aint got no meat. No meat? As in what kinda because Im trying to order chicken enchiladas. We aint got not meat came the low impatient and annoyed sounding growl from the little box. Then I tried to call to ask a question and got a busy tone. I get it. Its late. People want to go home. I tried to place an order on line, however even after figuring out that the store doesnt offer this service, I still wanted to place a good order. After waiting and the cashier being rude, she told me I will have to place an order, I said ok Im trying to do that. Ive always eaten at Taco Bueno on versus Taco Bell... And I really hope that this is a one-time off thing and not a going-forward core quality of food choices. I love Bueno for some good, cheap, fast Mexican food. Party burritos are my favorite, but Mexi dips and chips is great too! I used to go to Hardin-Simmons back in the late 1990 s and used to eat at this same Bueno. I was glad to see they had updated it since then! I called the store 11 times and nobody would answer. Finally when someone did answer she was very rude and I hung up on her and she called me over and over and over again and then she finally left me a very hateful voicemail and I keep trying to call back and nobody will answer. While the delivery guy was at the store, I was trying to get a hold of him. I understand that they cannot communicate because it s a separate but at the same time regardless, you need to answer that phone and she told me that it s not a priority but it is a priority you ve got people who want to make Colin orders and you ve also got people who want to make complaints and regardless if it s busy or not when the phone rings they can also be an emergency for one of your employees, so yes ma am you absolutely do need to answer that phone because if I have to come up there, it will be an issue.

This is a great chain restraunt. Better prices and overall atmosphere than Taco Bell. Never very crowded. It would be a five-star except the restrooms. They are unreasonably small with the biggest trash can they could find. When you open the door, thats the entire space you get. Great staff and everything, though. Good for a road trip. Vegetarian options: Beans, chips, and rice, like any sane Mexican restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Really are none that Im aware of. Parking: Right outside, big lot for the little shops there. Kid-friendliness: They have kids food. Not any room for them to play. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking spots, I didnt see a ramp though.

We just moved here and tried this Taco Bueno.. this is the EXACT reason why these stores close down. I WISH I got a picture but I was honesty so shocked I didn t even think to get one. My Fiancé ordered me a chicken taco salad.. it looked like somebody ate half of it and then gave me the left overs. We got home, looked at it and took it back all less than 10 minutes later. Mike the Manager rudely said there is no way we made this claiming that we ATE it and then returned in less than 10 minutes. What a joke. Do not waste your money here.

The Taco Bueno I went to today served luke warm food and the handicap bathroom was extremely small. The chips were funky enough tasting for me to question whether they were even safe to eat..so ya, I didnt.. the food was fast, the rest of it tasted right, just needed to be nuked for a minute. I

What happened to this place. Used to get friendly service and decent food. Now, woman taking order couldnt hear, had to get someone else that could hear to take order and was rude about it. Never asked us if we wanted hot sauce, napkins, etc. Asked for sweet and low, she couldnt hear that either. It wasnt busy,so no excuse. That was just customer service. Food tasted like it was stored to close to chemicals and cinnamon chips were minus the cinnamon and sugar. Sorry to see this one go downhill.

I would give 0 stars but it will not let me! 3/2/22 A Zero TACO BUENO!! I have been going to this location for 15 plus years, and it has gone to the toilet ! Beef nacho salad from the drive-thru! No QUESO! WELL LOOK AT THE PICTURE! ITS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS! IM ABOUT DINE WITH THOS CHAIN! 4 BURRITOS AND THIS FOR $15! Dont waste your money.
