Came in for an early dinner and some Margaritas. Sat at the bar to watch some college football while we ate. The bartender was amazing and every recommendation was perfect. We ended up ordering queso, house margaritas, chimichangas and a salad. The salad was huge, the margaritas were on point, and the chimichangas were delicious.

Our waiter was a guy named keith with skin tags on his ear or something like that said respectfully he is definitely not a peoples person he is real short worded talks too fast for customers to understand the menu and what he is saying. I didnt understand something on the menu and he took it from me turned to a certain page real fast like he had an attitude then handed it back to me and said nothing he just stood there he didnt even elaborate on what the item was even after he rushed to the page. we felt rushed like he was busy and didnt have time for us during the ordering process. the ribeye was definitely super tuff and had no flavor big mistake and it came out medium i wont order that again. I didnt complain to him at all I just didnt eat it. the bacon wrapped shrimp was good as always. I definitely dont want him as our waiter ever again then to make matters worst I give him the cash before he walks off he asks us do you want your change? what kind of person asks the customer that? you make the transaction then the customer decides if they will give you a tip and according to his attitude during our ordering he didnt deserve a tip at all. we still tipped him but with that attitude he needs to work back of the house. if you dont like people or certain people you dont need to be serving them. last time we went our waiter was a really nice guy so I cant say its the restaurant as a whole. it was a disturbing experience for me Im sorry but I had to address it

It was Friday and I was craving fish. I got the mahi with a creamy shrimp sauce that was delicious. They kept us supplied with chips, salsa and drinks throughout the whole time there. I saw others the had enchiladas that looked tasty so I will have to return for some soon. I would definitely recommend eating here.

This is one of the best Mexican food restaurants I ve ever eaten. The ambience inside was so good! We were seated under these red trees and eating under them was very good. The food also insane, me and my family ordered the Chile Rollenos and the Vegetable Fajitas and these two dishes were so amazing and I would recommend you really try these two the next you come here. The staff were all really kind to me and my group and when we asked our waiter to include no meat at all she made sure that we only got vegetarian options! 10/10 would come again!

Long overdue! This place was a gem that I discovered on Cinco De Mayo just on a whim. Came here with the family and had a great time: service was very polite, friendly and attentive. The food was great - went with their special Mahi Vallarta. Tortilla soup was tasty. Really appreciate the salsa choices and vegetarian menu. They have a nice bar and the ambiance is very interesting, fun and eclectic. I loved the art by John R. Thomasson and also bottles of tequila with Jean-Michel Basquiat art prints. Today, I spoke with a manager named John. I ordered Uber eats and the driver forgot most of our order and only grabbed one bag. He called to let me know what happened and tried to reach out to Uber himself. Although the uber driver was not helpful to me, John was awesome. He tried everything he could to get the food to us easily and after we decided to just pick it up, he was kind enough to remake all the food fresh so that it was hot/fresh. He was such a kind person and seemed to truly care about customer experience. This is my first interaction with this location but wont be my last, because of this manager. Exceptional!

We have always loved this place since they were in Lewisville. Once they closed due to I 35 expansion, we drive from Denton to the Colony. Up until the last 2 times food was great. The last 2 times, all of our meats (beef fajita & the chicken in the Pachuga dish) were super salty so much that they were difficult to eat. Not sure if it s the marinade or the seasoning while cooking but I won t be back to eat that.

I m not a big fan of Mexican food and I don t normally write reviews but this restaurant did such a good job, that I was compelled to write this. When you walk in, you notice the great decor. They really put serious effort into making the scenery pleasant. The waiter was nice and attentive. The food arrived hot on a plate that was heated beforehand. Again I m not crazy about Mexican food, but I enjoyed the meal especially the green salsa. Throughout the meal the waiter kept coming back to check on us and refill drinks despite there seeming to be more tables than he should be able to handle. It was pleasantly busy, but not overwhelming which is a very good balance. The bathroom was clean too. You should visit this restaurant for a good experience and a good meal :)

This is the best Tex-Mex in North Dallas. My wife and eight-year-old son shared their combo fajitas, and I had the enchiladas (two beef and two cheese). We also had the queso. Service was so refreshing an amazing. It s hard to find really good service these days. Abuelos has great service. Tony and Jessica served us- excellent service. They had what looked like one girl working the bar and half the tables in the place during a lunch rush... she was very apologetic, but that doesnt excuse the company not dealing with an obvious staffing issue. Offer people more money to work there, or allow people more time on the schedule. This is a greed issue because the food was expensive. They can afford to have people working here. Margarita Review: If youre in college and are drinking for effect, then El Jefe is an expensive vehicle to euphoria. If you are an adult who has had at least 5 margaritas, then you will be supremely disappointed. The $15 El Jefe is limeade with a $2 shot of tequila. I asked the waitress why it is so green. She claimed it was the mix. The mix? I asked about the Agravero orange liqueur, and she claimed it doesnt taste like orange. Im confused. I then went to Abuelos on North Central to compare, and I enjoyed a top shelf margarita.

My experience was horrible i came with my family and when one of my family members asked about a dish they did an ugly face as she was walking away. The food was over cooked and the drinks were horrible. Last time going there.
