We had a wonderful experience at Blue Heron Landing for my daughter s quinceanera! Michele was very accommodating, helpful and went above and beyond. Her staff was also amazing to work with before and during the event. Everyone had a great time at the party! Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I had a lovely wedding reception here. Michele was wonderful through the entire process, and the employees she had working the event were wonderful too. I didn t catch their names, (getting married does that to you), but I heard from several people that they were extremely helpful through the night. I having nothing but praise and recommendations for this place.

Blue Heron Landing is a wonderful place to hold any event. The place has a beautiful facility with a deck on the pond. It is fantastic for weddings, reunions, or any reason to get together. Kids can enjoy a petting zoo and playground area. Michele, the owner, is very welcoming and accommodating as she truly works hard to make your time there special. You should definitely consider Blue Heron Landing for your next event, large or small.

Attended my brother-in-laws memorial service today - (12/17/23). My wife went upstairs (spiral staircase) and was on the landing of the second level. BTW there is caution yellow tape after reaching the top of the stairs, however; this landing is different heights, (about a foot). There is no caution tape and my wife stepped forward and twisted her ankle very badly. The owner was unhelpful only stating there was a Waiver of Liability that was signed. I was fuming and asked for help. I told her this was a liability, told her there was caution tape at the top of the stairs, but NOTHING for the different heights of the landing. Someone is going to get seriously hurt here. She walked away and murmered she would record it. Later on a staff member brought over some ice. How nice of them...

My wedding was 10/21/23 and it was absolutely perfect! Michele was so easy to work with throughout the planning process and you can tell that she loves what she does. She was so flexible about arrival times the day of and allowed us to store our decorations at the venue the night before our wedding, which was so helpful. Speaking of decorations, part of the package is using in house decorations and linens. Michele has a lot of options and it took a lot of stress out of the planning. Plus, her prices are very reasonable, especially for DFW, so we were able to use the money we saved elsewhere. The venue is wheelchair accessible and there s plenty of space inside and out. We had kids at our wedding and they loved the petting zoo and playground. The property itself is a lot of fun with the pond and walking trails. There is a Victorian house on the grounds where the bride can get ready and it s beautiful! Plus there s two bathrooms, one of which has a shower, and a full kitchen. This was the only venue my husband and I looked at and we knew immediately after our tour that it was perfect for us. We have no regrets about having our wedding at Blue Heron and it truly was the best day!

We love love love this place. We have been there in Halloween, on Mother s Day and twice now on my daughter s birthday party. She hosted her party there in 2021 and loved it so much we did it again in 2023. Best place for kids, petting zoo, ice cones and all the playground and beautiful scenery. Michelle is great and very helpful. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception at Blue Heron last weekend, Michele was so wonderful. The barn venue is gorgeous, there is so much history accompanying the old farm house as well. There s a little petting zoo if any little ones (or big ones) need a little break to go visit some animals. Michele did all of the set up and had people around during the event to make sure everything flowed smoothly. Great communication, amazing help, she made the day a dream. Could not recommend more:)

Blue Heron Landing was the perfect venue for my event! I wanted something close to home with inside/outside capabilities, and something more than just a plain facility. I also appreciated the open vendor policy. My caterer also really enjoyed the space, and said it was easy for him to work with. Michele was excellent to work with! I really appreciated all of her suggestions, and used alot of them. Everything day of the event went smoothly, and the day was just perfect. My guests enjoyed the petting zoo part on the walk in and out. And some guests even played pool during the event. Would definitely hold another event here again.

Michele has an outstanding and unique venue. Both the outdoor space and indoor space are beautiful. The Victorian home is an extra special touch for the bridal suite as it s not only beautiful but also has interesting historical aspects to it. Michele is friendly and available 24/7 in the booking, planning, and day of needs. Her team of helpers were friendly and efficient. She went the extra step of recommending a wonderful bar tender for our event. The venue is great for different size events from intimate to large. It s family friendly while also feeling classy. The petting zoo and treats available to guests made for a great experience. Our family both bride and groom sides loved the venue. It felt like a little slice of paradise in the city. I m so happy that my mom booked this venue to make my day truly memorable.

I held my daughters college graduation celebration at Blue Herron Landing & Events Venue and it was AWESOME! Michele and her staff handled everything with excellence. From the initial tour and planning to the decoration, everything was perfect. My guest were very impressed with the venue and all it had to offer. Maria was there to make sure we had access to whatever we needed during the event and she did it in a way that was not intrusive. The weather was cold that evening so my guest were not interested in the indoor/outdoor feature of the venue but Blue Herron Landing & Events Venue has it available along with an expansive deck area. I would highly recommend Blue Herron Landing & Events venue for any type of event. Thanks Michele!

BHL was the perfect place for the wedding reception for our daughter & new son-in-law. Beautiful space with plenty of room while still an intimate setting. I have very mixed opinions about Blue Heron Landing. While there is massive potential, the owner/operator is somewhat not accommodating. As the aunt of the groom there were things that were asked and at one point she said yes and then turned around and said no. I understand there has to be things spelled out so that your business is protected, but micromanaging is not part of the venue owners responsibility. It is common courtesy to silence your cell phones at an event, such as a wedding. Completely unacceptable when it is the owners phone that goes off, during the ceremony. This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you want a place that will control every step, then by all means this is your place. However I cannot in good conscience recommend this as the place for your special day.

We had such a wonderful memorable time at venue! Michelle was so awesome to work with from venue 1st tour visit till party ends ! Also other team members were so friendly and polite! We will definitely be booking more events here in the future and received so many compliments from guests about Venue selection. We had my daughters 2nd birthday party and I couldnt be happier with the outcome! This is the best event center I have ever been to, I couldnt have done it without Blue Heron! A very special place indeed! The pond and the petting zoo has an awesome variety of animals which is fun by itself! Then there is the event center which is a fabulous place for socializing. eating, dancing. Games and outdoor activities in a nature setting makes it all around fun for kids. I wish I could give the Blue Heron Landing & Events Venue and its owner ten stars. The location of the venue is beautiful. The owner was more than helpful. I had rented the venue for a Sweet 16 birthday party. There was enough space for dinner, dancing, or just sitting and talking. I had the use of the kitchen which was very helpful for keeping food and drinks cold. There is plenty of room in the kitchen for preparations for food. I would definitely hold another party at Blue Heron Landing & Venue.

We highly recommend this venue for your next event. We recently rented the event venue for a graduation party and everything went great. Michelle and her team did a great job setting up the tables to maximize the space with a dance floor. The upstairs loft was perfect for our DJ set up as well. I have been to Blue Heron Landing for many family events but most recently we rented the grounds for a private event! Michele is a wonderful host and stayed in constant contact with me regarding my event and the needs of my group! She was unable to be there for a portion of my scheduled time but had her Assistant available and she did a fantastic job! Over the years Michele has put so much work into the facility and grounds to improve the experience for her visitors. Everyone in my group expressed how much fun they had, especially with the animals, and they all indicated that they would like to do a return visit! Thank you again for such a fun day! We had a surprise birthday party for my wife at Blue Heron Landing and it was great! The venue is family friendly and has so many different things to do - animals, pool table, nature trail, fire pit, of course the historic 19th century house, and more. Michele was incredibly helpful and flexible with keeping the party plans moving, accommodating the caterer/baker, and contributing ideas to the surprise process. We had a tea service for my immediately family inside the house before having the party in the main pavilion. Both were very fun, affordable, and exactly what we needed. We had so much fun in here!, everything was very well organized, very friendly and helpful people, kids had a blast with the petting zoo, they fed the donkeys and the goats (Im pretty sure this was the best part for them), they have a beautiful lighted trail, and before we left we had hot cocoa by a fire pit while watching frozen on a screen. Looking forward for the next season!
