I ordered the lunch special, sour cream enchiladas, today. It was very good. When paying out, they told me I had the regular menu item, not the lunch special I ordered. After a short discussion, they charged me for the lunch item. I dont mind paying for what I ordered, but I ordered the lunch plate. Might be good to train serving staff to confirm or repeat back the order. I will be back. The food is very good.

I thought the fountain and interior decor was cute but the service was not (at all) what it should have been. The waiter took forever to bring our food out and didn t check on us while we waited, on top of that he got our order wrong. It was disappointing as we were starving and drove in from Wimberly to eat, the waiter didnt even apologize and a different guy took over who was more apt to handling the situation and making it right. That guy did a good job and we were grateful he stepped in. We even heard a lady who sat nearby say they take too long and she was walking out with her elderly companion. My kids got horchata and it tasted like water, I even took a sip and it was soo watered down there was no way I was going to pay for huge glasses of watery flavorless horchata so we asked for lemonade instead. The food was just okay the flavor wasnt there, my charro beans had way too many jalapeños and it was too spicy, I had to fish out the beans and was left with a bowl full of jalapenos. The lengua my M.I.L. ordered was different and not prepared like she was expecting, said the texture of the meat was questionable and on top of that the flour tortillas didnt look homemade, they looked like store bought Mission tortillas. I will say the only plus was that they were soft. The refried beans needed more flavor and there was hardly any sauce on my daughters enchiladas and appeared as though they just dumped cheese atop so it wasnt what she was hoping for even after they tried to correct it. My parillada was lacking flavor and I didnt like that the sausage was cut up in small bite size chunks. I have ordered this dish at many restaurants and other places put whole links. So they were a bit skimpy with the meats to be honest. We wont ever go back to this place the next time were in San Marcos, we didnt have a good experience here.

First time here, it was graduation for that area and it was packed. There was a wait to sit down, we waited around 30 minutes.Once we sat down the waiter took our drink order and that took about twenty minutes later. We were already frustrated for waiting for our drinks so we placed our order for food while we had him there. Needless to say we waited about another hour for our food and the food was not all that. We paid a good price and the food was okay and the margaritas didn t have any taste.I wouldn t come back again.

I had been dying to eat at this place and convinced my husband that this would be a great idea. IT WASNT. OUR SERVER JACKIE TREATED ME SO BADLY THAT I DID NOT ORDER FOOD AND ON THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY. MY HUSBAND DID NOT LEAVE A TIP. AFTER I ASKED TO HAVE HER REPLACED, COULD HEAR THE SNICKERING AND CONVERSATION OF THE EMPLOYEES. THEY REALLY ENJOYED JACKIES TREATMENT OF ME AND PRAISED HER FOR NOT CARING THAT I WASNT GOING TO EAT ANYTHING. STEER CLEAR OF JACKIE AS A SERVER. MY HUSBAND SAID THE FOOD HE ATE TASTED LIKE IT HAD SPOILED, ALSO. TORTILLAS CAME TOO LATE TOO CONSUME WITH FOOD. MANAGEMENT DID NOT SEEM TO CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. SHE MAY AS WELL HAD SHRUGGED IN MY FACE. TOMA TACO IS A BILLION TIMES BETTER.

I was not impressed. It was my first time going and at the time I went it was not busy at all! I think my table only made 3 altogether therefore there should ve been no excuse of why my service was delayed. The food itself came out fast, but after the food was out that was it! Service had ended, was not checked on for any refill on drinks or if anything else was needed. The Chicken inside my enchilada was very chewy but overall was still good. When I requested for desert it was only my table and another gentlemen and it was a little over 20 mins for the desert to come out! I don t understand how hard it is to fry something and add a little bit of ice cream or whip cream. I won t be back the wait for everything that was asked for was uncalled for when they wasn t even busy!

I would give zero stars if I could based on my experience. I always try to support small businesses. Especially if they are female owned. However, I am not here to pay for bad service, disrespect and false advertisement. To be honest the issue could have been resolved. It wasn t even an issue until they made it one. I ordered the Al Pastor plate. In the description it said it came with pineapple and guacamole. The waitress(Jackie) had been not so pleasant our entire time there for a party of 9. I didn t think much of it and was trying to let it go even though she was making me feel that I was bothering her for ANYTHING I asked for. I asked Jackie(the waitress) if my plate came with pineapple and guacamole in which she responded I don t know. I stared at her in confusion because at the very least as a waitress you know what s on the menu or could have easily picked up a menu to check. She walked away and I thought she went to go ask and or get the pineapple and guacamole. Next thing I know Jackie(the manager. Wears glasses. Apparently Jackie the waitress sister) comes up on my left hand side and wedges her self between me and my friend and says so you are complaining about your food that was a statement folks not a question. I won t go on it because it does not matter. I closed my check and left. Called the next day to speak the owner and Jackie(the manager with glasses ) informed me the owner is her mother therefore my complaint would be given in vein. AVOID THIS PLACE. Go to TOMA TACO, CASA Maria s, MANAS, EL CHAPO. ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.

I visited these places and the food is really bad. The enchiladas didnt have flavor. The frijoles with rice it looked like were served for a long time. The tortillas werent cooked well it was from a bag it wasnt fresh tortillas. I ordered a simple liquor mix, and the mixology gave me lemonade and tried to convince me that was the drink I asked for. I had to return. The place has a great atmosphere and excellent waitress, but the food and drinks arent.

New favorite Mexican restaurant and friendliest owners/staff. First time going here because the pictures looked like the food was the best bet compared to nearby Mexican restaurants and it was seriously SO GOOD. If you choose Mexican restaurants on salsa, tortillas and rice this is the place. I think we also met half the staff and with a restaurant and hospitality background, I appreciated everything they did! I hope Jorge s does great and would recommend to everyone! Seriously wonderful food and staff. My mom and I can t stop thinking about the rice and will probably be back tomorrow to pick up some more to go with our leftovers because we didnt leave any of that behind tonight!

I was reading other people s reviews and they completely opposite to my opinion. Service was real friendly. Probably they still adjusting but for me Fajita Cravings, is the place to go. I have to agree with the previous review. Loud music assaulted everyone as a Father s Day DJ cranked out washed out bass and blurbage through a mic. Food was good, but music assault was not necessary . Chips were on point but salsa was suffering from blender massacre. Foamy pink slurry with no distinguishing veggies sad. Service was sketchy, kitchen was slow, but the worst was the bar blast music.

My sister, mother and father in law went on fathers day. The music was so loud my mother asked if they would please turn it down a little. They did not. Later I also asked to turn down the music. I was told Sorry, Its for fathers Day. I had to get up twice to get a drink for myself and also for my mother and father in law. We had to ask for both napkins and silverware. I had to get up and ask for our check. So in a nutshell I was the waitress except for bringing us the plates. Once I asked for another drink and told her I had a hole in my cup. Rather than getting me a cup with no holes she brought me out the same cup with a hole in it and filled it up half way to where the hole was. The second second time I asked for a drink refill she forgot about the hole and handed me a leaking cup of soda!

Pros: tamales Cons: extremely hot inside. The sweet tea is made with nasty tasting water. The amount of flies swarming our table was unsettling. The rice wasn t too bad but the chicken enchilada and taco (mixed plate 1), wasn t the greatest. I took one bite of each and didn t touch it again. The queso was pretty basic. Didn t stay liquidy very long. The refried beans were watery and gross. The fajita plate barely had any meat. The meat it did have was thick pieces and not very good. Our waitress was good. Didn t hover which was nice. Overall the tamales were excellent. But I wouldn t come back.

So when the kids were at camp, my wife & I took the opportunity to try the new version. It was early, the crowd was light, and we were able to get seated immediately. The restaurant was surprisingly large and the decor was unusual for a mexican place. I got enchiladas. She got a spiced grilled fish and shrimp plate. The food was good. Hers was very good. Ignore the negative clowns below, especially that entitled idiot whining about a complimentary drink, best food to come out of this building since it was Tres Hermanas in its prime. Shrimp fajitas are fantastic. The shrimp enchiladas, unlike El Jefe, are real shrimp enchiladas, not cheese enchiladas with a few salad shrimp sprinkled on top. Come with a choice between two sauces and very good. I recommend an upgrade to their Charro beans, some of the best Ive ever had.

Was excited these guys opened down the street. Had a good meal with good service and was keen to try more of their menu. Tried a take out order. First time they disconnected me after a short hold. It happens. Second time held for 7.5 minutes and hung up. Tried again only to get busy signal. So being down the street ok I will just go. Place was half empty but staff was clearly busy. I waited, went to place my order. I explained I tried 3 times to place a phone order. No explanation, no apology just let me take your order. I was told would be 10 or 15 minutes. A good chili relleno typically takes longer than that so I said I would pay when it is ready. She said she wouldnt do that. So I left. Maybe it was because I had a military veterans hat. No interest in my business so I went to downtown SMTX. Would have loved to like these guys but personally I will never go back.

We went for a group of 3 and was told waiting time would be 10mins. Another group of 3 got seated first, we had been there before them so we left and another restaurant got our money worth.

Looks like they are still getting all the kinks worked out with opening a new restaurant, but they are definitely on the way. Homemade tortillas are ALWAYS a plus! Right now it is BYOB but that may change. Fajitas were awesome. Gotta work on the salsa though. Also need to get the full Gama of drinks going. I really wanted Agua Fresca. Also on Fridays go check out my bud Jesse the Jammer!! Live DJ

A good Tex-Mex place. Way better than the previous tenant. Good cheese enchiladas and tacos.
