There is a good playground for the kids by the pavilion. The tables were dirty and lots of cobwebs on the tables and bird poop and webs under the roof and around the lights. Also, broken glass and trash on the concrete. However, the trash cans were empty with bags to accept trash. Some people are just trashy and dont care how it looks for others. Also, restrooms are available, but, again, people will purposely stop them up.

This is one of the better parks in Wichita Falls. This large park has separate dog parks for large breeds and smaller breeds. In general, most folks there are goos about picking up after their dog, and its pretty nice. You can almost always find radio controlled aircraft flying on a nice day, and those folks love to have spectators. Plenty of greenery, usually a decent breeze, and lots of pathways for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

They spend money that we don t have on the lake Ringo. when they got to three lakes already and wouldn t cost near as much to drench as it does the cost to build Lake Ringo ($443 million) , They have Wichita lake, lake kemp and lake Arrowhead. Year ago someone offered to drench both lakes and they had not do it because the city wanted to charge him for the soil and he was not do it for nothing. because they said they sell it to him Sorry government and Wichita Falls NO LAKE RINGO.

Nice place to relax and look the stars hear the water and reflect on some nice pictures Playground: Great for the kids very safe, I like the historical feeling to it very nice place relax even if you just want to take some time to get away from things and anytime during the day or night I like that it doesnt have a gate to close or anything you just go up there relax just look at the stars its nice. Toilets: Im seeing pretty clean I didnt use them but I did go check them out not bad Dog-friendliness: Didnt have a dog or anything and didnt see a dog but it seemed to be pretty friendly for dogs Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas with nice picnic tables and and different places which is very convenient and not so close to each other

Lake Wichita Park is a lovely place to visit. They have a couple of different play grounds, a giant dirt hill to climb, a massive disk golf course, a large pier for fishing or for sitting and a smaller dock for fishing plus hiking and bicycle paths. It also serves as a wild life refuge where you will see dozens of different birds, native plants and if youre lucky you might see a deer, wild hog, turkey, snakes, coyotes and bob cat. Theres also a dog park, an RC air plane field, football, soccer and baseball fields. Unfortunately the drought has almost dried up the lake. However its still my favorite park in WF.

Nice park with 2 dog runs, baseball fields, hiking and biking trails, and whatever else youd expect from a park this size. I like riding my bike here when I start in Lucy Park. Its such a nice concrete trail all the way. Toilets: FYI Not always open Dog-friendliness: 2 dog runs of good size. 1 for large and 1 for the small breeds. Just wish people would pick up after their mutts. Picnic area: Plenty of these areas all around the park.

I used to go there, but not anymore. Many other dog parents do not supervise their dogs. Unpleasant experiences with other dogs waiting at gate when a new dog comes inside and knocks dog down into gravel and bullies my dog. My dog had his ACL torn and had to have a painful, expensive surgery in OKC. A very long recovery period. I stopped going to the park after that. Too many unpleasant experiences. No shade, weeds. Sorry I have nothing positive to say. It s nice that we have a park, too bad it s not better maintained and monitored for bad parenting.

Absolutely amazing lake. Feels like one of the best in Texas. The sunset is just beautiful. There are two, three camp area where I have been. Chose wisely where you want to camp or sit. Yes, there are snakes and looks like jungle. But some camps area are just amazing.

My daughter lives in Lexington KY & we took her English Mastiff to the dog park. I was very disappointed to see that there was only one trash can, outside of the fence, close to the entrance. No trash cans and no plastic bag dispensers were located inside of the large park. No water was available, but I assumed this was because of the winter month. The large dog park was very busy, with approximately 25 to 28 dogs & the amount of excrement was terrible. I was very embarrassed by the needless filth and lack of trash cans and bags.

This place is perfect if you like open fields, space and kite flying. Plenty of room to enjoy a day out without being crowded and piled up on top of strangers. Even in the midst of the pandemic, there were lots of people at this location but we had room to breathe and didnt have to worry about social distancing because the beautiful scenery went on for acres

The park itself is on a lake, hence the name. However, the lake is massive, with several inlets, and beautiful views. There is a playground for the kiddos, soccer goals, and plenty of room for those Energizer offspring to run themselves into a comatose Naptime. If that doesnt work, there is a mountain-type hill you can climb for sweeping views of Wichita falls and the lake in all directions. Climbing twice will wipe out grizzled older folks, while watching mentioned offspring race up and down the hill repeatedly will cause a complete mental reboot as exhaustion seeps in. This park was the culmination of a great day of photography, and the best place to conclude.

I love taking the kids here, the park is fairly well maintained. There is a small crack in one of the slides near the water but that comes with normal wear and tear. Theres a fun hill the kids love to climb with various trails leading to the top, a really nice walking path around the lake. They just put in a memorial statue that is pretty cool to see. Ton of other stuff to do (disc golf, dog park, I think even an rc plane runway).
