Pros: Great rooms and services that come with this hotel. Great for couples and families. Also decently quiet. Cons: Views arent all that great, entry cards dont seem to last more than a day. Rooms: Very clean and well maintained Walkability: Very walkable to a nice handful of local restaurants, attractions and stores.

Don t book too complicated. Front desk made rude remarks during check in like Dude where are you driving from? Why are you booking here Why would you book something without a card So I Booked a hotel incorrectly through booking.com and paid through Apple but they told me I couldn t check in without a card? For one, Ive done it before on many of occasions AT HILTON HOTELS so either this hotel needs to look into adding this feature or they re lying. (I also observed a lady use Apple Pay in front me of me as well) and the front desk ladies (both extremely rude, one of them looked like they were closing and trying to go home) were not trying to be helpful at all both tried to hand the responsibility off to one another. Just unprofessional and not considerate of your guest! Choose one of the hotels near.. Will not be staying again wish I can give it 0 stars!! 9/21

Worst customer service ever. My family and I have been to many Hilton establishments. While my daughter played travel ball, we stayed at their hotels, spending hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. This is the last reservation we will ever make. I was informed that there would be no penalties for canceling my reservation up to 48 hours before check-in, and there was no deposit required. Today at 9 a.m., I received a phone call from a representative from the hotel off her personal cell phone. Asking me to please provide a payment for a room we didnt even check into. I have never had this happen to me before, not at any single hotel Ive ever stayed at. I did not feel comfortable, and when I started to question the representative, she started to get angry with me. She would not give me her name and hung up on me. I called the number back that she called me from and came to find out it was her personal cell phone. I called back twice for her not to answer. I then decided, with the possibility of fraud and somebody trying to get my card information, I would call the hotel. I tried to call two different times to have the same representative answer the phone and basically tell me good luck trying to find a manager. Theres no one around here to hang up in my face. Not only once, but two times after calling two different times to try to get a representative that would explain to me their policy. I feel like they were trying to get my money because the representative stated that they were sold out and due to the possibility of loss of sales if I did not show up. She wanted me to pay for my room, and I had until 1:00 PM to call back with payment or she was cancelling my reservation. I could not get a word in edgewise. She refused to give me her name. She refused to give me a manager. She refused to give me a corporate number. So I then took it upon myself to call the number on the Hilton Rewards app just to be met with the same attitude and disbelief in my story as they contacted the representative that I supposedly talked to and said that I was the reason that the situation escalated. She hung up on me due to my poor attitude, but lets be honest, who in their right mind in this day and age, with as much fraud going around as it is, would give their card information to somebody on the cell phone? Personal cell phone at that. Then hanging up in somebodys face not only once but three times is very unprofessional. I will refuse to spend any of my money, and I plan on making a Better Business Bureau complaint. I will also be contacting the Texas Attorney Generals office to see if I can get this policy in writing or see what my options are in seeing this issue out and an answer since no one wants to take me Seriously. In making sure this doesnt happen to anyone else again. I have never been treated so poorly, and being a supervisor myself makes me wonder about how their guests are treated. Im also very unsatisfied with how the corporate office handled this situation. I didnt ask for a handout; I didnt ask for a discount. All I wanted was for them to make the situation correct, but they chose to take their employees side over mine. How would I make this information up? How would I get the representatives personal cell phone? And the crazy part is that the corporate person that I spoke to was supposedly a manager and when she asked the representative why, she called off her cellphone. She said they were having problems with their phone system but yet she was able to call me off her cell phone to get my credit card information that was on file and call me but yet they couldnt call out on their phones .I will be following up with my complaints with the Texas Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau because I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

On August 29th I had just arrived from Airport from Denver a young man at the front desk was present I asked if any rooms were available, he answered politely no, so I sat to make a couple of phone calls to see if I can sleep over a family members house. The young man was very polite, patience, and caring it was very late he showed compassion towards me. Knowing I had no place to sleep at that time, Im writing this review because of his professionalism and his demeanor, I had a long trip from Alaska to Hobby and he made my night by allowing me to sit for a minute to get an ok from family member to sleep over there house. Awesome young man I told to always stay humble and kind.

Nice sitting area outside and pool.I choose it because it was close to everything and easy to get in and out. The roll in shower leaked and floors were wet. Not many towels available. Do not stay here. They price gouged me. Rate went from $119 to $149 when I extended my stay and they didn t warn me. Manager informed me that the rates were normal. Well, been a Diamond for almost a decade before to know how flexible rates work and when someone is simply sticking it to me. If it s flexible, why does Monday to Sunday cost the same price? I stayed here for 24 nights and it was just a bad experience overall. AC is dated here with mildew smelling air quality. The room quality is $99 at best. The breakfast ladies are awesome. All else isn t worth it unless you are paying less than $100 a night.

The room was nice but the toilet didnt work in the morning, one of the outlets for the coffee maker didnt work, and none of the remotes changed the channels on either of the two TVs it only turned it off or changed the volume. The breakfast was nice and the room was nice and clean but for ~$150 I expected it to be better than a $40 hotel and it wasnt.

I don t usually take time to write reviews but I m making time now because I feel that two of the hotel staff employees need recognition. I ve been staying at this particular location during the horrid aftermath of Beryl. The GM Rosharra Martin was so patient and kind to me and my family when I was stressed to the max. This has been a difficult time for me and my family and she accommodated my every need. The very next day I ran into some personal issues and Xiomara took the time to help me out with things that she didn t have to bother with. These ladies are prime examples of how people should be and others around the city need to take lessons from them in hospitality! My family and I want to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. You helped ease a difficult time for us and made it painless. Can t forget to mention how friendly all the staff we encountered were, how clean the rooms were, how prompt housekeeping was and the food was pretty tasty too! Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I just checked in here this afternoon by Today. There was no service at the front desk. We waited for an hour for the receptionist to apply for the room card. The second time I went out and came back, I saw that there was still no receptionist at the front desk, and other guests were still waiting for the receptionist to arrange check-in. It happened twice in one afternoon. I believe this is the normal service of this hotel. In addition, there is no hot water in the room, and there is no maintenance personnel to repair it. If there is hot water, you can only wait until the maintenance personnel go to work tomorrow morning. There is still a musty smell in this room.

However, we were not able to ever to sign into the internet for the night. The girl at the front desk had no idea how to do fix it.

There were MOLDY biscuits on the breakfast bar and when my husband brought it to staffs attention he was dismissed and nothing was done to remove the biscuits. The staff was more concerned about a kid trying to make himself a waffle (he looked plenty old enough to handle that waffle maker alone) than properly stocking the food and handling the mold situation. On our second morning they knocked on our door (and tried to open it luckily I had it locked) at 10am to check if we were still here. um yes were still here. Checkout is at 11 and the DO NOT DISTURB sign is on the door for a reason. I was in the middle of changing my sons diaper while she jiggled the doorknob and tried to enter. Really strange place. Wont be staying there again. They also didnt have the digital key option for hilton honors. And I didnt get my 2 complimentary water bottles like I always get at Hilton Hotels.

Do not stay here. The front desk staff deserves a zero, but thats not an option. The desk agent was away from the desk for 15 minutes when we arrived, and the room we booked was somehow unavailable at check-in so we were given a different, smaller room, which was still being cleaned at 7pm! We were not refunded the difference, but told to check out in the morning and we would be moved to the room we booked for our 2nd night. The fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, which was fun. The same issue with our room occurred the second day, with a different agent who was even less helpful, but said she would text a manager, and then proceeded to do anything else for 10 minutes while we stood there holding our bags. We decided to book a room at a different hotel while she ignored us, and left. Save yourself a headache and the lost money, and do not stay here.

So the service and the continental breakfast were top notch (imo) and the rooms were very clean and very comfortable. I had everything I needed. However, I did have an issue in my room (suite) where only one of the outlets actually worked. And when I say worked I mean held the plug at all. It was either completely loose or just had no power at all to draw from. It was very strange. All the appliances seemed to work alright (though I did not try the coffee maker, admittedly) but the only plug I could get to work for any of my electronics was the one on the bathroom sink. I made it work and it wasnt a huge inconvenience, but it could be a big deal for someone else (especially someone who DOES actually have to work out of the room) so its worth mentioning. Also, pro tip for the TV: try holding the remote over your head if its not working. It can be finicky. Edit: I stayed here again when I came back for business in December, and the hotel appeared to be renovating the ground floor. At any rate, I stayed in a suite again and I did NOT have the same issues with the remotes or the wall plugs, so hopefully that was just an issue with the ground floor that I was on before (and which was being actively addressed by the looks of it.) The AC unit was also newer. Staff was still as awesome as previous! Noteworthy details: I had to visit the ER while I was there (NOT anything to do with the hotel, Im just pregnant and the heavy travel didnt agree with me) and was pleased to note that it is literally a five minute drive away from the hotel, which made my panicked late night trek a lot less stressful lol.

This is a fairly typical Hampton which is our choice of a place to stay. I was disappointed in two things. We had dinner with a grand child and so arrived close to 10. We got the last room so we had no choice. The room was OK but on the fifth(top) floor with only two slow elevators. Second I was informed that there was a $50 deposit which was not previously disclosed which would be refunded assuming no damage. When we checked out and inquired about the timing, I was told that the hotel did it soon but the credit card company took 5-7 days for it to appear. I dont believe that it takes that long. In any case I may pursue it later.

My husband and I just completed a stay at this hotel. We are Diamond members and have grown to expect a certain quality from our stays. This hotel did not meet the mark unfortunately. The elevator has carpet that smelled horrible as soon as we entered, and nasty smudge prints all over the buttons. The first room we entered had a dead roach on the AC unit. We asked if we could be moved to a new room. This request was granted. The rooms overall were dated, with furniture that had spots, and a bathroom that had stains from use. The breakfast wasnt bad...but the space doesnt accommodate the weekend crowd size. The biggest issue was that someone hit our rental car overnight while it was parked in the Diamond parking space. We filled an incident report with the front desk and had the police come take a report. The police pointed out that he didnt see any cameras on the front of the property. How do you not have cameras facing your front entrance and Diamond member spaces? The staff were nice overall...but just not overly impressed by our stay.

The odor in the elevators was horrible and it didnt matter what time of day you got in either one of them. The elevators were so slow too, and not because of traffic either. The hallway lighting was dim. It appeared like the carpet in the hallway was the original carpet when you compare it to the room carpet. The room smelled like mildew. We had to spray the carpet in the room with a de-odorizing and disinfectant spray to help with the odor. However, the room furniture was nice and updated. It appears the hotel renovated some because the lobby and room itself seemed to have updated furniture but the in between definitely needs it too! Overall this was a great stay! The room was clean and smelled fresh when we went in. Despite previous reviews that stated the rooms were dirty. The only dirty thing I noticed was dust on the ceiling, which was a popcorn ceiling, from the A/C blowing up there. The hotel provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hand soap and a hairdryer. The breakfast was good. The only issue was I reserved and paid online but the clerk required a card to check in, I know this is normal, but he placed a $50 hold on it. I am waiting for those charges to be reversed since I did not use the full $50 in the little concession stand. Once that is completed I will be happy to change the service rating to a higher rating. Rooms: Rooms were nice, clean, comfortable. Nearby activities: Very close to the NASA Space Center. Only a short drive from the Kemah board walk. Food and drinks: There is a Rudys BBQ a short drive away. Joes Crab Shack, Landrys and The Aquarium Restaurant on the Boardwalk are nearby.

This was the worst Hampton Inn that I ve ever stayed at. We checked in and the room had a very strong foul odor. The front desk move us to another room with no problem. The second room also has a foul odor but not as strong as the first, so we were content. Lying in bed, I looked up at the ceiling and was disgusted at the filth above me. Close inspection proved that the entire room was filthy as shown in the attached pics. The shower has no water pressure and the tub did not drain. Please find another place for you and your loved ones to stay!

Super nice staff. Truly. But this is one of those increasing number of places that is reducing housekeeping services (money! profits!) and unless you specifically request it you won t get your room tidied, trash emptied, coffee replenished or towels replaced (a not insignificant detail that goes unmentioned at check in.) This isn t a big deal for a one night stay but for three night stays it s supremely annoying. Pity.

The size of the suite was nice. The room was clean. However, after waking up we discovered there was a large puddle of water where my husband almost slipped and fell. After investigating, we found the sink had been leaking all night long. We informed the hotel staff as soon as we found it and they said they would have someone come look at it. The beds were awful too. This is probably the most uncomfortable Hampton we have stayed at. The staff was very helpful and professional.

I have stayed at this Hampton Inn on an extended-stay basis from mid-September 2022 into January of 2023. They have rooms with stoves and full-size refrigerators that worked out perfect for me. The management staff (Rosharra and Chloe) and the free breakfast administrators are among the nicest people I have met in the hotel industry. Some of the equipment is getting old and dated, but the willingness and ability of the staff to take care of you is worth 5-stars! Park your car and you can walk to about 50 places to eat within 10-min! Great location. Enjoy your stay...

Checked in at the front desk and was given cards to my room. Opened my room door to find someone else s suitcases and belongings inside. Isn t this a security concern? Receptionist said someone else actually checked into the room earlier that was still under my name and credit card general manager on the phone with receptionist offered nothing more besides an obligatory refund for their mistake. We were told no more rooms for my party size. Told us to look elsewhere. Pretty much ruined my evening. Disappointed with the Hilton brand allowing this to happen in the first place. Gave two stars because receptionist was nice at least.

Not many pots and pans or utensils in kitchen. The air conditioners one in living room kitchen was okay but one in bedroom keep cutting off at night and got hot. The elevator s were both working but really hot, slow and dated. Also one elevator says your on 2nd floor when really on 1st which is confusing. Breakfast was great and kitchen staff was friendly. The sink in the bathroom looks very old. the bathroom could use a good paint job. Good points, the AC was great. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed premium channels on Dish. the desk and extra couch with table were very good. The refrigerator kept my water cold!! and you had a hair dryer which is always a plus. I did like the curtains, nice black out from the sun especially in the mornings. The breakfast was good. I had 1 waffle and eggs. the coffee was good too. I enjoyed the sitting area. I dont think the sitting area gets enough attention, tables and chairs were dirty. I did not get to enjoy the pool this time but i will be back in October and hope to have time then. Thank you.

The individual at the front desk seemed to question that I checked in on the app, and I didnt see any staff wearing masks -- if that is something you are looking for. Rooms are dated/dark, and mine only had a view of the central roof and a wall. Breakfast was nice but the raisin bran dispenser didnt work at all. I appreciated the selection. Rooms smelled of mildew. We went through 4 different rooms before we found one that didnt smell awful, and we had to pay extra to get it. It seems that most of the rooms on the higher floors have this problem, probably because they are used less often and then hot and humid weather causes mildew. After speaking to a manager, we were refunded the difference in pricing, so we didnt end up paying extra.

By far the WORST experience ever- terrible customer service- absolutely NO consideration or respect for guests. Worst of all was the landscaping crew at 7:30 in the morning blowing an extremely loud leaf blower directly at my window. I called the front desk to complain, and they did nothing. The elevator maintenance room (directly across from my room) made awful, banging noises literally every 30 seconds from 3am-4am, the front desk wouldn t move me. The unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for the guests here is unacceptable- NOT at all up to Hilton standards (and I know, I m a platinum elite member, meaning I spend more time in hotels than I do at home).

Nice stay. Checked in on the app and then Aramis helped with room adjustment due a musty smell in the first room. He was pretty accommodating coming in person to check out new room with us at midnight by the way. Thanks Aramis for a pleasant demeanor that time of night. Spent four nights. Comfortable bed and clean. Definitely dated. Bathroom needs to be touched up so that the stains on wall paper and tub area are gone but overall good experience. Those things are minor because everything worked well. Shower had powerful flow. Housekeeping comes daily unless you hang the sign on the door. They could use a towel bar for hanging hand towel and a hook in the shower for hang wash cloths. Breakfast was tasty and good temperature. Never ran out of food. Loretta handled breakfast while we were there. Always with a smile. If you stay here you will be pleased. There s alot of options to dine in the area. Must go to Cookshack for ribs and chicken-3 minutes drive. NASA spce center 10 minutes away. Also Voodoo doughnuts and Pinkerton BBq are a must though 30 minutes away.
