This place has went down tremendously, they dont even honor their business hours on the door, always running out of food and has decreased the amount of food you get for the same price. This is not a good practice if you want to keep business going.smh Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else if your thinking of stopping here.

I ordered a fish plate with the fried green tomato appetizer. The food was hot and seasoned really well. Its the first time Ive had fried green tomatoes that I enjoyed. Portions are large and the prices are good.

it should be illegal to do this to seafood. I got a(#37) shrimp oyster plate, beans & rice with coleslaw. The beans and rice were nice, creamy, not too spicy, and good. The seafood was off, and thats being nice. the shrimp appeared to be pre-cooked, then battered and fried. the batter is a yellow mix of some sort that made the oysters & shrimp yellow . the coating was too thick so I had to peel it off to get to the food. Unfortunately I lost interests before I reached my fill.. A long ways from Deanies or Popadeauxs

The fish, chicken, coleslaw and shrimp were all very good. The fries were average. All were average or better and the portions were huge. I ordered 3 fish and 3 chicken thinking the portions would be like most restaurants, but I took 2 of each as leftovers. The batter was more like Cajun restaurants and a bit spicy.

The grilled shrimp tasted great and were one of the biggest Ive ever received at any restaurant, the crab cakes and fried fish were good and crispy tasted great as well the portions were massive for the fish and crab cakes but I feel like 3 shrimp just isnt worth it for the price. Overall I will eat here again.

This little hole in the wall is definitely spot on. Hot , freshly made food that was tasty and very reasonably priced. My only complaint?? I am not a fan of the homemade tarter or cocktail sauce. Thats a personal opinion , I tend to be a traditional type of person on those things. My advice? Take your own cocktail if you like it not spicy and a little sweet. Other than that , we enjoyed our food completely!! Thank you so much!! And dont sleep on those wings , yall....they were AMAZING!!!!

The food here is excellent. The best way I can describe it is flavor overload! I have eaten seafood many places in the US and this place ranks close to the top. Very well seasoned and prepared! I had fish, crab cakes, fried shrimp and oysters and everything was delicious. Penny who placed our order also checked on us several times throughout our meal and was wonderful! I had a chance to speak to the owner and he was great as well. If I ever come back to Waco this is a definite stop.

Definitely a no frills restaurant but the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the shrimp po boy! And thank you to Michelle for being so friendly and Bubbly even though she was super busy and managing the dine-in and drive thru by herself. Food came out quick too. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in Waco!

Fish is huge and tasty here, but them side dishes are very hit and miss. The red beans & rice was perfect but the green beans, you could tell were literally poured out of a can, not even flavored or cooked. Just cold green beans. No flavor in it, no garlic, no butter, not even salt or pepper added. Was super weak. Ill return for some fish, but thats it

This little hole-in-the-wall, unassuming place has the BEST catfish. Dont judge the building, cause the food is AMAZING. We went for the first time, and Im not a big seafood eater, but I got the catfish/chicken tender plate with two pieces of catfish and two tenders (in case I didnt like the fish), but it was DELICIOUS. It was also a LOT of food for an extremely reasonable price. I think mine was $7.99 and came with two sides and hush puppies. I look forward to returning again and again!

Hands down BEST FRIED CATFISH IN WACO! The fish was seasoned extraordinarily well and perfectly fried. It was crispy yet not too thin. We called in our order and it was ready within 7 minutes. The service was quick and the lady who took our order was very nice. Lastly, the prices were on point! $10 for 4 pieces and 2 sides.

They know us by the order #36 we get every time both me and my husband and we have my son hooked as well! When we have choice of place we request these people every time. They are awesome. The food is cooked fresh every time. The staff is crazy awesome. Not just because I went to school with the best waitress in the world.... but they treat everyone the same, like family! Very understated little location but they did list that they had some oyster Po-Boys and so I stopped and ordered a oyster po boy plate. The staff could not have been nicer the order was put in with cooked up served at nice fresh and hot less than 5 minutes The Taste was delicious absolutely fantastic will definitely go back by here again not only for the service but because that was fresh that was delicious and that hit the spot!

Shaan/Sams Eatery is always delicious. I tried the grilled fish for the first time today and can honestly say its as good as the fried. I ate so fast that I forgot to take a pic. However we saw some amazing food delivered to another table. Found out it was their wings. We were already full but got 3 to go. They are huge and the tiny bite I took was delicious. The food is always cooked fresh and is always excellent. Prices cant be beat anywhere. Huge portions.

The reason I rated 4 stars is actually the reason I love it. It is a restaurant converted from another restaurant. Some of the old features remain like some of the tile. They are fixing it up piece by piece. The food is delicious. The service is amazing and friendly. It didnt seem very busy because there were only a few people in the restaurant but they did a brisk carry-out business. Theyve changed the name back to Sams by the way. For which Im glad because I never stopped calling it that.

I havent been in a while because when it changed hands it went downhill. A friend said it changed hands again and is good now so I went back. I order a no.22 fried and a no.22 grilled. When I got home all I got was fried fish that over cooked. I wont be going back at $10 a plate
