The food is really good, But the service is horrible. Two days in a row I ve tried to get lunch, but I end up having to leave because I run out of time. This is the drive-through Which is supposed to be quick. One car in the line ahead of me and appeared to be only a couple people in the store at 12:30 in the afternoon. Pretty bad. Guess I need to go to Taco Bell. All I see is apologies in response to the bad reviews. Why don t you fix the problem?

Got 4 people working on a random Tuesday and yall still can t make a sandwich right? I order an Italian with no ham every time I come, NEVER have I had a firehouse location put turkey on my sandwich without asking to supplement. Not only that, they piled so much turkey on the sandwich that I couldn t taste anything else. Completely disappointed! Not to mention the 3 little kids just running around the lobby. I m get bringing your kids to work bc school is out, but to let them ruin a customers experience in your store bc you can t control them is crazy.

I work in the same plaza as this firehouse and eat at firehouse often. Typically the service is great. Even short staffed, they usually work quickly and have great customer service. Today was horrible. None of the staff smiling or being personable with the patrons, orders taking way longer than they should to be prepared. They didn t put my Mac and cheese in with my order so I then had to wait even longer, and got attitude from the employee when I pointed it out. No one moving with any kind of urgency. One employee just kinda hanging out but then will build a sandwich every 5 min or so. And it looks like an employee has their kids hanging out in the restaurant while they work. If this is the new staff for this location, I ll go elsewhere for my lunches moving forward.

Have always wanted to try this place. First time yesterday. They had been open about 15 minutes when we got there. I ordered the Cuban Barbecue sandwich. Was expecting pulled pork barbecue on the sandwich, there was about a tablespoon, the slaw should have been drained a bit it was running out all over, the ham was unusual not sure but it was just not good. Was a foot long but it lacked in being filling.started feeling sick about 6 hours later and have been in the bathroom most of today . The place was spotless and the staff was friendly and fun, but I won t be back Subway and Jimmy John s for the price and serving size runs circles around this place. If there was a minus star for the food rating that would be my choice

What is the point of allowing the option to order online for a later pickup time? I ordered from work at 4:00 to pickup my food at 5:45 and when I arrived the order was cold and they even told me that they made the order at 4:14 as was the time on the receipt stapled to the bag. I try not to bash businesses online but they just stared at me with nothing but a confused group stare as to why I didnt want my cold firehouse subs. The top of the receipt said clearly, customer expected to pickup at 5:45. I appreciate you going above and beyond to ensure that my order would be ready when I arrived over an hour and a half later...

This used to be the best run faat food place in town, but now its the worst. You shouldnt have to wait nearly an hour on fast food. Also, half the drinks are out and they dont have any ice. Bring Jeremiah back. He had this place in great shape. I fear it will be out of business soon if it doesnt improve. This is the 2nd time weve experienced this and we wont be back unless we know its been improved.

Used to come here 2-3 times a week. Old staff were friendly and professional. Place was busy every time I was in here and still got the food out fast. I don t know what happened but it was a mistake to get rid of such good staff. I ve been here 3 times since mgmt/staff change. 1st time I left after 7 minutes at the counter with not even a person speaking to me. 2nd time was slow but they were busy so I understood. 3rd time again not friendly service and took forever to get a sandwich and I was the only person in the store. I hate to do it, but I m done as a customer.

used to love coming here when old management was there, but now that there is new management, they have gone severely down hill. staff isn t as friendly, is way more concerned with talking to each other than taking care of guests, and you wait forever for your food just for it to be cold. not cool. y all lost out on a great manager that made this place worth coming to. can safely say i won t be going back again after giving the new staff multiple chances to impress.

Its been 3 weeks since I have followed the request of the owners below comment, and have NOT HEARD ANYTHING. So dont let their comment fool you. This is still a problem! I loved this place until their best employee left. I have a huge allergy to gluten. So I love the fact they have gluten-free bread. Now my fellow allergen sufferers, STAY AWAY from this location. My family was served by the associate stating Im sorry, I dont know which is which. When I got my gluten free smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket, there was obvious signs of cross contamination. There was only 1 sandwich in our family order with the item that was in BOTH of my GLUTEN FREE sandwiches. So again, this location no longer cares about allergens. Food was remade, with an attitude. I will not be returning here.

If I could rate it a ZERO star I would . This place is just not the same anymore. I went through the drive thru at 11am was the ONLY car, and as the cashier was talking to me , she was also talking to all other employees, having 3 different conversations. It took me almost 30 minutes to get food and I was the ONLY customer. Then to top it off, I paid close to 5 bucks for Mac and cheese which I DID NOT GET! The best place hands down I met the owner tonight and this place is so vibrant and more welcoming since he got new staff. The restaurant was so clean and the food was amazing and top of the line incredibly good with tons of flavor. The employees at this place definitely take pride in the store and work they do. I 100% recommend this place and will definitely be back. If youve been here before or never come I encourage everyone to come its like a brand new store.

About a year ago I gave this place 5 stars. Today I went in and wasnt greeted. I was the only customer in the store and I stood by the register for over 5 minutes watching one person work while two other grown men stood around watching a woman do all the work. This establishment has gone downhill fast. They used to be nice, clean, timely, and friendly. I got none of that today. This place should be thankful for the 1 rating.

This was my second time going to firehouse subs. The first time was amazing and the food and service was great. Today I went through the drive through and it was 20 minutes before I even got to the order station. Then another 10 minutes before she finally asked for my order. After that was another 30 minutes before we got our food and drinks and left. My sandwich was suppose to be just ham and bacon but when I got home it was a completely different sandwich that I waited and HOUR for. The lady at the window informed us that it s a whole new team and that they didn t finish training. But 5 people should still be able to make a proper sandwich I m overall so disappointed and will not be returning. $32 for 2 sandwich s and drinks is ridiculous.

I love Firehouse subs but after today not sure I will ever return. Was not greeted when I walked in, overheard new manager talking bad about previous manager Jeramiah to a customer. All she asked was is its a whole new staff?, he then replied Yes its because old manager didnt do what the owner asked. Waited on my food for 20 mins and wasnt busy. Store was dirty and tvs werent working properly. When I voiced my opinion that Jeramiah did not get fired or let go for reason he stated. He got irritated and told me I can go tell Jeramiah everything hes saying if I want. I told him Ok and if I do, you should be professional if your a manager. Finally got food and when I got back to work it was missing items and wasnt as fresh as it normally is. Very disappointed!

Firehouse was me and some friends go to place for great atmosphere, food, and people. When we came in we were always greeted by Jeremiah and his team, but today we were informed they ditched the student discount and were surprised to see a whole new staff. It s not the same and I can tell some owner management things went down. Sad to see they don t support the college students and their staff anymore. Won t be returning anymore.

This was my first time eating here and the food was great! Jeremiah the manager and Abel were fantastic very friendly. They both made sure we were happy with our order. We were sad to here Jeremiahs last day is Sunday because we planned to start visiting frequently. Hopefully the next person is as nice as he was. I think Jeremiah had a great attitude every though Sunday was his last day. Most people wouldnt care about the customers if they know theyre leaving in a few days. Me and my family enjoyed some subs here. The food was fantastic! I love Firehouse subs. Everything they do is awesome every time Ive been in. Its been a great experience, although this time there was a kid at the other booth looking at me weird the whole time he was making all these crazy eyes at me really freaked me and my youngest boy out. On the plus side they had plenty of parking, wheelchair, accessibility, disability, bathrooms, and we paid around $10 per person Parking: The parking here was numerous plenty of spots. Loved it! I had to post about this place as soon as I got home. I gotta say first off this was my mother and my first time coming here. We have now found our new sandwich place in Waco. We arrived and were happily greeted by not only the regular employees but also the store manager, I believe his name is Antonio. They honestly seemed delighted that we were there, which was very nice. As we ordered we were unstressfully helped with our menu items. Firehouse Subs is also a very cost-friendly and not fast food type of place. After our order was promptly brought out to us we were both very happy with our tasty sandwiches. And I gotta say I was truly happy to find that they also have one of those digital auto Coke machines and I was finally able to try a Barqs Zero cream soda, so that was an awesome bonus with this new sandwich place for my mom and I. Dietary restrictions: The gluten-free bread was delicious .

It has been declining over the past few months but really hit a low point today, 5/23/2023. The brisket beef and cheddar I received was 80% fat, an absolutely awful tasting cut that should have gone in the trash instead of charging someone 12 dollars for it. Also, perplexingly, half the pickle I was given tasted like cleaning solution?? This just happened and I already have a feeling what little I ate of this disaster is going to make me ill.

MY OH MY this place is amazing. This location is impeccably clean and located conveniently off Franklin Ave. Jeremiah is genuinely the kindest, most attentive manager I have met. He gave us soda recommendations, super speedy service, and even brought our sandwiches to the table! The Firehouse pickles are to die for, and I will often stop by just to satisfy my pickles craving. I may come back and buy the whole bucket of 500 for $35. I highly recommend the Hook & Ladder combo which comes with any size drink! Thank you, Jeremiah! We will be back!!

We have been to many Firehouse Subs and this one is top notch! The team is friendly, outgoing, and you can tell they love their guests! The manager is always smiling and super positive and it shows that he cares for the restaurant. All I can say is keep up the great work!

What can I say...it is Firehouse Subs. Always good and consistent. In my opinion, best subs hands down. Unlike Subway or Jimmy Johns, Firehouse has more to offer than just a bread heavy sandwich. Best meatball sub around with the Engineer sandwich running a close 2nd

We have been coming to this location for weeks for lunch and the crew is fantastic! We love their personalities, laughter, and welcoming environment! The manager is wonderful, he makes everyone feel welcome. As for the team, they are always turning like a well-oiled machine! Food was prepared correctly and toasted perfectly! I usually don t come to many firehouse subs because I ve been let down in the past and prices are crazy here recently but me and baby was craving it. Met a lovely worker who is also pregnant. I ve been coming here for lunch whenever I m working. The staff is incredibly nice with positive energy. I never had firehouse subs before and now I eat there for lunch every time. I enjoy the spicy Cajun chicken sub with the firehouse sauce for extra spiciness.

Firehouse Waco provides not only a consistent GOOD experience, but the manager is one of the hardest workers Ive seen. He is always cheerful, full of energy, and calls many people by name when they walk through the door. Its impressive he can remember so much and be so cheerful in a stressful quick paced environment. Firehouse always has clean bathrooms, plenty of drink choices, my sandwich always looks the same, the drink station is always clean and the employees often walk through the dining area and offer to clean up. As a mom of 3 kids, this type of service is SO helpful and will keep me coming back. In addition to all of this, after just coming twice, the manager remembered my familys order. We stepped up and he asked if we wanted what we had last time and he got everything correct..for all 5 people. I couldnt believe it. The manager treats his employees kindly but also gives them good direction to keep the store moving and clean when a line starts to form. This is a great restaurant that we are happy to support.

We used this location to deliver 2 different catering orders for our high school marching band. The manager was easy to work with, the orders for 140 people were PERFECT, and the driver who delivered was flexible with our uncertain schedule. We went through Drive Through today. What a disappointment. After ordering we were told a price which we questioned and they said their prices have increased. So why would you have different prices on menu and then told a different price??? We own a Fast food restaurant and would of never done that to one of our guests. Increase your prices once you have everything in place. What a bad reflection that was on your restaurant. I m sorry 27.00 for 2 sandwich s not even a combo!! Just crazy!!!

I had a big order with each sandwich being a special order. I called the store about an hour before I needed it and the manager was AWESOME! Very disappointing. I asked for no tomatoes due to allergy and there were tomatoes but I used to like this place and said they could remake it, waited another 5min and it looked like the same exact sandwich that I gave back and was colder. I couldn t chance it and just asked for my money back. I pray it was not the same sandwich but the staff did not seem very interested in doing things the right way

Jeremiah, the Manager I believe, went WAY beyond the call of duty in preparing our large order for a local event. His pleasant attitude, attention to detail and even helping carry the order to my car (w/ another employee) were so much more than most people do in the restaurant business. BEST PEOPLE AND EXPERIENCE!!!! I came here to eat lunch w my boyfriend recently, I left my ring by accident on the counter of one of the tables, I was distraught thinking I d never see it again. Jeremiah had tried to run after me and give it to me before I left but was too late, when I came in he was SO kind and had personally saved it because he knew I d come back for it!!!! I feel so lucky to have gotten my ring back and that wouldn t have been possible had Jeremiah not been so wonderful and trustworthy!!!! Feeling very thankful! Also to mention I come to this location semi often and every single time I m met with the biggest smile and warmest personality in Jeremiah!! I come here a lot and my sandwich is wrong A LOT!! I order the same sweet and spicy meatball every time. My sandwich is cut through the bottom, my sandwich has pepper all over it, And my bread is barely toasted. I m so disappointed at this management and pure lack of attention to a customers food. If you want firehouse go to a different location this one is not good. Waste of $13. OH I ALSO FOUND A HAIR IN ONE HALF OF MY SANDWICH. EW

Jeremiah the manager and his team are phenomenal. They really do go above and beyond. My daughter had been recently diagnosed with celiac disease and they went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure everything was cleaned down and the sandwich prepped separately. We had only visited once and a month later came back and Jeremiah recognized us immediately and remembered about my daughter and again made sure to accommodate her. Strong leaders and great personalities make a place and you have a treasure on your hands. Thank you to Jeremiah and staff for the great service! We will keep coming back to Firehouse Subs on our way through Waco even if it is out of our way.

I have never been to Firehouse Subs but I ran into Jeremiah at another restaurant where he was in uniform and represented this company with the most excellent customer service by going the extra mile to assist a mother in need. Because of him I now want to try Firehouse Subs even though it would be a drive out of my way. Jeremiah left a lasting positive impression.
