We have been coming here for more than 25 years. We absolutely love the food the people and everyone that works here. I highly recommend this place to anyone either visiting Waco or moving to Waco. Out of all the Mexican restaurants in Waco and there are quite a few this one is by far the best hands-down.

I loved my drive thru experience, the waiter was so nice and patient. We ordered a couple of sides n an alcoholic drink for me. The chips were warm n the loaded cheese was pipping hot super ooey gooey delish! I received a Mexican Martini and was delighted when asked for extra olives there were extra olives! Grew up in Texas. Ive been to a million Mexican restaurants. This was the best Mexican food Ive ever had. My family agreed. You know the flavorless refried beans that usually come as a side? We were fighting over my sons until he finally tasted it and told us he was going to eat it. Thats never happened before. I thought the chili relleno was kind of weird. There was almost a roll around the outside. Way too much bread, like a loaf of bread, bread. I just didnt eat all the bread. Anyway 10 stars out of five! Dont miss this place!

Loved the bartender/waitress who took care of us! She was on top of it and very attentive despite it being packed on a Tuesday night! I definitely would come back to try more of the food!! I dream about the corn cake day and night. I have since dedicated myself to developing time travel for the mere purpose of reliving such an eye-opening, soul-awakening, life-changing experience. The people that work here have nasty attitudes. Especially bc on the doordash app it does NOT say you HAVE to go through the drive thru to pick up an order. In fact it doesn t even mention anything about the drive thru. But if you walk in and tell them you have an order. You re immediately met with RUDE and NASTY attitude telling you, you HAVE to go through the drive thru and they can t walk 5 steps to grab the order. Instead try to make you wait 20 minutes in a drive thru. It s lazy if you ask me, if someone s gonna take the time out of their day to be nasty and hateful towards a person asking for a ORDER. I wouldn t even eat here if I was spending my own money!! The atmosphere here is not worth being talked to like a dog!! And think threatening people is ok. Will never come to this joke of an establishment again!

I have been spoiled after living in Austin for almost 30 years, so I am picky when it comes to spending my hard earned money to eat out. I was so impressed with the steak fajitas...so tender and flavorful! A lot of places tend to over salt...these were perfect Ive now been here twice and this time the service was also superp! La Fiesta is a second home for me and my husband; today was not that day. We were warned that it was about to change to a $10 food minimum and before 8 PM. That was fine, considering food here is pricy compared to some other places in town, we always spend more than $10 on food anyway. We got there tonight and planned on 2 apps and some margs, then realized it wouldnt hit the $10 minimum. We added a dessert. When we got the bill, the add-on of carne asada on the app (which was discounted before) was ALMOST as much as the app! So, the app was $4.50ish and then we paid full-price for additional meat, which hadnt happened before. I brought it up to the waiter, and he was irritated but said he would get the manager. I dont blame him on that; it was one of the busiest nights Id ever seen there. The manager comes and hadnt seen this issue before. He comes back saying the first time we had done this, we got a discounted rate. This time, this is the real price. He gave us $0.99 off the order... Well, not great. But if thats true, it is what it is. Excellent managerial service wouldve knocked it off this time but warned us for the next. I wouldve gladly accepted that even more. But I paid it... As we were leaving, it hit me that the whole reason we even ordered something extra was the $10 minimum, and if we had known that adding carne asada was going to be charged FULL PRICE at HALF-PRICE APPETIZER HOUR, we wouldnt have ordered it. I saw the waiter at the cashier station on the way out and tried to let him know for future patrons, and he would not make eye contact with me and hardly nodded his head. Now, we go regularly, and that is because we also love the employees (especially Max - he is the most friendly and sincere waiter out there!) But the rudeness we were treated with by him... That makes me just not want to come back. He may have just been having a hard, busy day (as we really didnt see him much tonight anyway...), and this was the icing on the cake. But I dont tolerate that when I could eat at home for a fraction of the cost. We wont give up on La Fa just yet (best margs in town!), but if this is a continuous experience, we will find another local favorite.

Always a great time at La Fiesta! Cindy is the best waitress, and the food is never disappointing. The atmosphere is fun & festive, with colorful decor. Truly one of my favorite places to eat when Im in Waco. Kid-friendliness: Great! All of the waiters & waitresses are wonderful with kids! Of course there are kid-friendly meals, and there are coloring pages to keep them busy. The environment is not too loud, but just enough to where normal kid noises shouldnt stand out too much. This used to be one of my favorite Mexican food places. We had family meals here everytime we were in Waco. Sadly, the quality of the food has gone down, they no longer sell pitchers of margaritas (which means our party of 9 had to buy individual drinks that were mostly ice at higher prices rather than sharing 2 pitchers of drinks) our total bill by time they added in a mandatory 18% tip for the group was over $500 for 9 adults and 2 kids. Im saddened to say we wont be back. I dont know if they changed management recently but if so they need to fire them. The food came out cold, the rice was old, the cheese dip was almost solid by time it got to us and other than having a sweet server, our latest experience here was a bust. We have a large family and dont mind paying a $500 bill but the quality needs to be there and it isnt at La Fiesta anymore.

My brother graduated from TSTC tonight & we wanted to celebrate him. My mom walked in no later than 8:45 . My mom was greeted & told we would receive service. I walked in a few minutes behind her and one of the girls was telling my mom they were working on a table. We waited 15 minutes to be told by 3 girls that they couldn t provided services to us because they close at 9. I understand we walked in no later than 8:45, but tell us you can t provide service immediately and not have us waiting around!!! One of our favorite restaurants here in Waco. This place will get very crowded on a Saturday evening but service was spot on despite being very busy. Ate here last night with my Grandpa & Mom. Our food order was completely messed up. We ended up with beef enchiladas when we all had ordered cheese, an extra bowl of charro beans that we didnt order, a huge side of rice. It was a mess. And the waitress got so confused she asked another lady for help to see if she had given us the right plates. The other lady said yes. Then my Grandpa looked at the enchiladas he was given and said these are beef. The waitress told us to just keep them b/c theyd have to throw the plate away and shed get the right plate out to my Grandpa. So my Mom took the extra plate and was eating it. Then the manager and waitress come back and the manager showed no apology whatsoever for our messed up order and said if you eat it, you have to pay for it. So my Mom just picked the plate up and said take it! The manager went on to say that those WERE cheese enchiladas they just had a lot of meat sauce on them. The manager took the food, I dont think she ever apologized. They did bring my Grandpa the right plate after that. To keep from further ruining our dining experience we didnt say anything else, but the plate my Mom was eating was beef enchiladas, not cheese. The waitress apologized several times and told us we woudnt be charged for the extra food. The extra food was even put on our ticket but shown as deducted ... food WE NEVER HAD ORDERED TO BEGIN WITH. We will never be back. It was a terrible and embarrassing experience. Should have been handled very differently.

Food was good a little on the pricey side for their food. Food was good no issues with our order. My family and I was in town visiting and we were traveling with two of our fur babies. We needed a place to eat that was dog friendly. The patio seating is dog friendly. My daughter and I shared the steak fajita and my husband got a burrito. Portions were good sized but with tip we paid almost 75 and that was only two meals and drinks.

Absolutely amazing food!! There isn t a thing on the menu that isn t great! Family owned and operated for over 60 years! Best margaritas in Waco!! My doughter and I are doing a roadtrip in the US. Were from Germay and enjoy the southern food a lot. Tavia and the kitchencrew behind her did a beautiful job. We had brisket tacos and a burger. Once back in Waco well definetly come back!

My first time here food what kind of difference more of a mex tx than anything all we had was appetizers The margaritas were good I had the tamales I guess it was okay had green salsa and chili beans on top but the other appetizers shaped like a balls chickens wrapped with bacon now those are very good service was slow they took forever to give a service overall it was okay

If I could give zero stars I would BUT I cannot because my first time experience was absolutely MIND BLOWING AMAZING and I cannot wait to return!! I wish i could give five thousand stars!! Austin was the best bartender thus far since my move from South Dakota -- his personality, demeanor, positivity, customer service and knowledge was unbelievable!! Best Mexican food I have found in Waco and so fresh and flavorful!! Michelada was delicious as well as the creative margaritas! I felt very welcomed by staff and patrons as soon as I walked in the door!! Such a clean, fun atmosphere!! Keep doing amazing! I cannot wait for my next visit!!

Service is great! Our server was very attentive. Food is very tasty ordered Baja fish tacos with 2 sides beans and Mexican rice my entire dish was delicious. Chips and salsa delicious as well. Also ordered a piña colada it was amazing. Totally recommend this restaurant.

If you re driving your RV and stopping for food I was able to squeeze my small class C across 4 spaces. Otherwise there were not too many parking options. The food was good with very little wait on a Saturday afternoon. The place was full and they were able to seat 7 of us with no reservation. The music was LOUD. my grandson has autism and he does great in most environments but the loud Fiesta music made him uneasy. Bring your earbuds or headphones if this is an issue. The food was really good. We all were happy with our choices for the most part. Large menus options. I would definitely go back. Our waitress (don t know her name, she had beautiful dreads) she was FFF- fantastic, friendly and fast. She made sure we were good the entire time. Get the corn cake!!!! My favorite thing.
