Went there for lunch and ordered lunch fajitas and the flauta* to plate I didnt realize that the food quality was so low I havent been in quite some time The meat definitely seemed boiled and possibly day old it was not fresh The fajita plate was not hot enough to cook the peppers and onions so they were basically raw and it was like enough for one taco not really a decent serving even for lunch they werent really clear on their menu with the sides and then the extra I assumed it would be a dollar or a dollar fifty extra if I had ordered a side but also on the menu for that item I ordered it did say rice and beans so I was just curious how it would work out it was very small portions the crowd is geriatric the food tastes bland and canned processed and not fresh I do not recommend going here I feel bad for the servers I hope that they can make a living wage Im not sure how though.

We have been to Abuelita s many times and will continue to go back. The food is so good and the service is excellent! I love the Popular Platter and usually have that, we are headed there shortly and I m thinking I might try something different this time. I do order the frozen blue margarita every time I eat there, except during lunch. My husband really likes the atmosphere as the music is not blaring and we can talk with friends while we eat. My husband usually has the Chile relleno plate along with a friend of ours. If you haven t been there give it a try I don t think you ll be disappointed.

I read decent reviews for this restaurant and thought Id give it a try. But I was sadly disappointed because there was a toothpick inside the chimijanga I ordered. Yikes!!!! Seriously, people??????? I thought it was strange that I had to keep removing strings of tomato skin from the chimijanga only to see the horror of a toothpick inside of it. See the photo below. Ughhhhh. This is so unacceptable. The owner/manager comped my dinner tab, and I only had to pay for my drink. The only apology I got was from my waitress, Jessa. Poor, poor service.

We recently celebrated a family reunion dinner at Abuelitas. We had large semi-private room with plenty of room for visiting and enjoying each orher. The service was amazing because it had to be difficult to keep up with the orders. Everything was accurate and delivered in a very timely manner. The food was excellent. The owner came to see if all was well and we gave him a standing ovation! We are planning another reunion in 2 years. You can bet we will have dinner at Abuelitas!

We went there for Mothers Day, our Son and his family invited us. The restaurant wasnt very busy for a Saturday night and it was mainly large groups. Servers were quick and polite. Food was hot and every one enjoyed the meals. I liked the Rice and Refried Beans but an error making the Taco left me unable to eat it. I asked for a soft taco but got a regular one instead. It was made to order but just in the wrong shell. Nothing major in my opinion.

We had the chicken fajitas here and they were terrible. The chicken was clearly cooked before we got there and was simply warmed up, the onions were not cooked all the way through and there was not a single piece of green pepper in the dish. It was a very poor meal. Would not recommend.

We came here once when it was first open, and I was not impressed. I have to say, tho, they have figured it out! We recently returned here, and everything we tried was so delicious! From the salsa to the enchiladas and on to the guacamole, so yummy! The servers are attentive, check back, and keep your tea filled. Oh, and the tea is really good, too! You wont be disappointed if you choose to eat here. You will, however, be full as a tick and still wanting to eat more! Cant wait to return...see you there!

YALLLLLLL this food is SO DANG GOOD I got the lunch burrito special, and the meat, rice, beans, and sauces were delicious! I should have gotten a pic, but it was so yummy that I didn t think of it. This was my first visit and probably my last. The food is fairly good; the rice is exceptionally. It s the price of most dishes that is the problem. I went on Saturday night at 6:00 and it was nearly vacant of customers. I ordered Chicken Fajitas and a coke. They were a bit better than some, but my tab was over $26. Okay, call me cheap, but the other items were over market price. Perhaps the owners are figuring that the solution to lack of customers is to charge more for those who do come .

Need to review your receipt? My sister & I had lunch there & before I paid with my normal 20/25% tip I noticed they already had a 20% charge for party of 8 or more? Which if I did not notice I would have been given a 40% tip. Would that go to the waiter or would the owner keep 20% for himself? The truth is I didnt like it at all, we ordered a beef burrito and it tasted like blood, also a Swiss breast and it said it had vegetables and it was only onion and about 2 pieces of carrot and about 3 pieces of pumpkin. We were 2 people and We paid $45 separately and asked for salsa and they said the only thing they gave was the salsa on the chips. Another thing I didnt like is that they are all dishes, there is no option to only order 1 taquito or a gordita because there are not even just dishes on the menu.

Service was great. The food was just okay. I ordered a fajita burrito and the first few bites were excellent. But about halfway through it was just onion and steak, with no peppers. Kids enjoyed their kid s quesadilla and fries, which came with ice cream. Prices were reasonable. We may have been in before the dinner rush (around 5pm), but there were only 2-3 other tables with customers. It s a pretty big place so it felt very empty.

It was our first time here and I was really looking fwd to trying it. When we walked in they had a sign up saying they were understaffed and to please be patient. The restaurant was very quiet and clean. The food really wasnt the greatest. I usually get chicken fajitas wherever I go and these were really overcooked and it reminded me of Taco Bell chicken meat. Im not trying to be a negative Nancy, but I just didnt care for it. Our hot sauce and queso was pretty good though. Our waitress was 10/10 amazing! She not only served us, but served others and even went around bussing tables. She later came to apologize if service was too slow and that it was only her 2nd day, but I let her know that I thought she was doing a great job. Maybe I need to go again and try something else as this place gets pretty decent reviews.

If I were to call Abuelitas anything, it would be mild. The quac was dark and gray, and had barely any lime at all. Chicken was dry, salsa watery (which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but it was almost watered down). Atmosphere was quiet, but at least it looked nice. Not a great lunch choice. First visit and LOVED it! Friendly staff and great authentic tex mex. Real enchilada Gravy! The cheese enchiladas were sooo good. Rice was good, beans had a nice flavor. Husband said the beef fajitas were great, the meat was tender. We got the queso and also really enjoyed. You can tell this is fresh food. The only thing I didnt love was the salsa. It was closer to a pico. BUT still fresh and good flavor-just not my style of salsa. We will definately be back.

Rice was flavorless, guacamole was just avocado with large pieces of onion and cilantro, not even salt was added. Bland or sour seemed to the overarching trend. Seems they need to be checking dates, times, and temperature management in the kitchen. And maybe invest in a few spices as the ONLY thing with actual flavor was the salsa, which was really good. Definitely not impressed overall though.

Sadly, a bad experience. The food that both my wife and I ordered was neither well served nor good tasting. The dish I got was the worst of the two meals, Carne Asada. The meat was extremely tough, barely chewable, I brought this to the attention of the server early enough, just after the first bite, he did absolutely nothing, not even a sorry about that. After that, I left the plate basically untouched. The place was not bad looking, but the menu had more like a fast-food feeling to it. We payed and left to never return. Im Mexican looking for authentic places to eat in town, this place is checked off the list.

Hey Yall, please dont get me wrong...... Their food is tasty and really good. But what ruins my visit with this restaurant is that the older white man, hes so mean to me. Both in person and over the phone! I have no idea what I did to offend this mean old man, but its been like this for about 2years. Hes not the owner or a manager. His job is to take orders by phone and maybe cash out costomer, and neither of these two task require a rocket science degree!!!!!!! Why the F is he so mean and hateful towards Abulitas costumers? I use to think that maybe he was just having a bad day. This could be plausible. But this has gone on for years? His hateful behaviors towards me is harshing my vibe! Some body..... Please make him not so hateful. Thank yall , Helen Hanson
