The place is kind of small and honestly looks like a low-end classic strip mall restaurant. But the food is surprisingly good! Everything that we ordered was superb! Service was ok but in line with the other reviews we read. I would recommend and we would most likely come again! Food

Turned away at the door at 6:20pm on a Saturday. We were told there was no room, but clearly empty tables available. We would have gladly waited for her to get caught up. We drove 25 minutes to get there, no where else. So very upsetting. Change your hours if you cant seat people after 6pm.

This is a little restaurant in a strip mall but the food was great. We got the spicy edamame and several different sushi rolls and they were all excellent. There was only one woman serving and clearing all of the tables and she was working really hard but the service was excellent. She refilled our water whenever needed and our food arrived quickly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Ive been searching Austin for the best Japanese Curry Katsu, and Daichi is certainly in the running. Daichi doesnt have the greatest location, but if you like food in Austin, you know that usually is a good thing. Their miso soup is probably one of the best Ive had in the city, and I dont typically like it. Their katsu curry is very moist and crisp, but I do wish there was more meat... The curry itself is nicely flavored, but I do like mine a bit thicker as the curry is more soupy than creamy. Its a nice spot and if it wasnt so far north, Id probably go there more frequently!

Today is my family members birthday, and we came here because I see the rating is 4.9. However, the waitress service gesture and attitude is NOT friendly. She took away the dish that we didnt finish food yet. And we asked a box for take away. This waitress seems very impatient and seems she is NOT WELCOME ASIAN. We came here for good memory for birthday. And this old lady waitress ruined it. We only two adults and ordered 130 USD food - but in return, we got this old lady bad gesture and bad face. I would not suggest this restaurant especially if you are Asian. Most likely this old lady will be there forever and she will not treat you well enough. I felt angry but still, gave her a little percentage of tips, which she doesnt deserve it. NOT RECOMMENDED, IF YOU ARE ASIAN. I just throw away the take away food and hope will forgot this experience, which in my familys birthday.

This place is sort of a hole in the wall, but dont let that fool you. The sushi combinations were on point and the fish was very fresh. It seems that they take care of the customers and have a few unique options that I would like to try on my next visit. The good thing is they dont load up the sushi rolls with rice, its very balanced with everything that they put in there. The Tomo roll is for the salmon lover, the shrimp puff roll was surprisingly pretty good, their OMG roll and the kiss of fire also would recommend. There were tons of other rolls that they had on the menu that I would like to try. They also have some non-sushi menu items that look very interesting.

We love coming here for sushi. Its in a little strip center in Cedar Park, but they have delicious sushi. The place is kind of small and intimate, so you may have to wait if its at a busy time. They have great happy hour specials and the kid options are good. Our kids love the tempura chicken and shrimp. We normally love the edamame, but it was a little dry and seemed overcooked. We love their specialty rolls and have tried almost all of them over time. Some favorites are Jennifer, fiesta, rainbow, rock and roll, red eye, spicy tuna and more. The service is great and the place is nice and clean, although it could you a refresh and touch up. Overall, a thumbs up.

Really good Japanese restaurant and one of the few that offer okonomiyaki. Everything we ordered tasted wonderful and we had no issues with the quality of food. Location is a bit small while we didnt have to wait for a table shortly after we were seated numerous big groups showed up and had to wait. I really like the small location very good date night spot so having to wait for seating isnt a deal breaker for me.

I m glad that I find this hidden gem. They offer a variety of options from sushi/sashimi, yakitori, to some more affordable options like fried food, boiled food, rice/noodle dishes. Ceviche roll gives me a great surprise! It is a roll of made of lightly fried rice wrapper with sashimi ceviche as toppings. The spicy sauce combines greatly with the ceviche and the crispy texture of the rice wrapper.

Recently found, weve become steady customers. We love this place. I particularly love the Rainbow Salad, consisting of spring salad leaf, dollop of mixed/seasoned avocado, assorted sushi, roe and sauce drizzle. (NO rice or seaweed). Very light and refreshing. We also like the Gyoza. NOT premade. Again, light and refreshing. The sushi and rolls are awesome as well. Hesitate to post a review because I dont want them to become too popular. Ha!

There are a decent amount of options, including sashimi, nigiri, rolls, cold and hot appetizers, etc. Food seemed fresh. Service can become slower when it reaches peak times since there is only one server. This is a small local business with authentic jp food and it s hidden in a strip mall with plenty of parking.

First time, a friend took me. We usually go to Soto which is my favorite for upscale sushi. Daichi was surprisingly very very very good! Great quality, lots of flavor, true to Japanese food. They even had Japanese curry We order maybe five different rolls. My favorite was the OMG roll, the spider roll was excellent, and we both agreed the Tomo roll was good but not something we d order again, but only because the other rolls were very very good. I added it to my lublic Google list of Texas Food and Drinks I share with friends and newcomers to TX.

Weve been going here for YEARS. I got engaged in this resturant bc me and my partner adore this cozy sushi spot so much. The staff is respectable and hardworking and you can taste the quality and love in their food. It is the only place we wouldnt mind ordering from week after week because their food is comforting. The black cod is my newest favorite dish from them. Its a small plate of perfectly fried and delicate fish and I always try to order it every occassion I can get. Katsu curry is also a classic favorite and the sushi quality is top tier. I highly recommend coming in during the lunch time with someone and getting their lunch special. My favorite roll to get is the Longhorn roll paired with katsu while my partner gets the Red Diamond roll with edemame which is paired with miso soup or a salad... best combo ever. I love this place.
