Sweet and sour pork was different than I am used to and so much better than I ve had before. Oriental fries were crispy and delicious. The star of the show for me was the Yakimando. It was outstanding. I d go back for that all by itself. We will def be back.

If I d known Kitoks serves zucchini fries too I would ve definitely wanted to try them since the Oriental fries only had potatoes, onion and herb. Would love to see them going back to using more veggies in their Oriental fries:)) The potato chicken soup was nice and hot but sadly lacking in flavor, could barely tolerate 3 spoonfuls. Please keep comment forms on tables or on wall as we leave so we don t have to seek out other ways to express our feelings.

First time eating here. It was amazing! Of course, I had to try the oriental fries everyone raves about. No words. I could eat them everyday for the rest of my life! I can only imagine what their own native dishes taste like. Im willing to devote my time to try every single thing on their menu! Even their American dishes are fantastic. Highly recommend! You wont regret it!

Opened in 1975 this local favorite is definitely a must stop. It s small and cozy but I love how it feels inside. It feels very cozy and welcoming. Reminds me a lot of the 80 s and 90 s restaurants because of the decorations and ambiance. I really appreciated it. We were sat down immediately at 5pm which is nice. 5pm on a Saturday could be a risk going out to eat and having or wait for a table. Our server was friendly. The food is really the best part which explains why it has such high esteem in the community. You absolutely must try the beef bulgogi. It s incredibly tender and flavorful. I was also very impressed with my burger. It was simple but full of flavor. The oriental fries were also very good and the onion rings were crispy. We will be back to try the bulgogi burger next time!

I tried the Bulgohgi burger with fried egg and I asked for grilled onions . The beef patty had a sweet and delicious marinade. Next time I told my waitress I want to try it with bacon and cheese. She was going to order her first one that day for herself..And of course the Oriental fries were spot on.

The lip locker burger was so good. 10/10- make sure to add bacon and jalepenos chefs kiss. Oriental fries had great texture, needed some salt but nothing ketchup couldn t fix. Thank you! I have been coming here since I was a kid. My mom would take us to get a cheeseburger and oriental fries. 30 years later Im still taking friends who have never tried this place. The staff is great, and its the kind of place you see on one of those tv shows specializing in dives and burger joints. To be honest, Ive never tried any of the Korean food, Ive been enjoying the burgers and oriental fries just too much.

I realize Im probably the only one with this review but Im not going to sugar coat anything. This was my first time eating here and I went with my bf. The employees were very welcoming, the atmosphere was quiet and its very clean inside. The food however could use some help. We heard such good things about this place and we were very disappointed. The fried shrimp was mushy, the soup they have, which was chicken and potato was bland and disgusting. Bolgolgi wasnt very good. My bf actually threw up in the parking lot after we paid and left. The food there just didnt seem fresh, like it was all store bought and just overcooked and very tasteless. Im very disappointed especially after hearing great things about this place and we decided to finally give this place a shot. We will not be going back. Kid-friendliness: I do have a kids meal menu option

This was a tough rating, but Ill say first everyone I encountered was friendly. I got the spicy pork, chicken bulgogi, and the oriental fries. The fries to me, missed the mark. You get a lot for the price, but they lacked seasoning. The main dishes come with a small salad, soup, and fried rice. I will say all the sides were generous and it wasnt just basic miso soup, which was nice. However for $15 per dish, you dont get a lot of meat and I didnt see the value. But, the flavor of almost everything was really good. I might be back, but probably not often. Id say, lower prices a little or give a better portion of the meat in the dish and Id come back more often.

My husband and daughter have been talking about this place for 30 years and I finally got to go. A wonderfully small Korean restaurant that also has hamburgers and other sandwiches as well. The parking lot is dirt and gravel. The exterior of the building could use a little attention. There is a small garden in front of the restaurant beside the road that needs some help. You walk in to see directly into the kitchen, feeling the heat and watching the magic coming to life. There are only what may be 15 or twenty small tables in the place, and they are all kept clean. Then you are introduced to the menu. There arent six or more pages of options, but maybe, three. Three delightful pages of real food. This place is a secret that really isnt a secret to the locals. I hope it stays that way. I love everything about it, just the way it is, just the way it has been for decades. Parking: Just dirt and gravel parking, but the food is really worth it. Kid-friendliness: There is a section of the menu that is specifically for kids. I didnt read it, but it is kid-friendly.

This place has been my favorite for over 30 years! I love the beef bulgolgi, which is thinly tenderized beef that is grilled to perfection with a kick of Korean soy and served with rice that has chunks of beef and vegetables stir-fried together. Served with a homemade chicken soup and a salad. Now, the most curious meal there is none other than a double-meat cheeseburger that is known as the Double-Liplocker. Its my definition of a good greasy homemade cheeseburger like my mama used to make. To go with it are oriental fries which are the bomb! Thinly sliced potatoes, onions, carrots, parsley are dipped in a thin batter and deep fried. When they come out, it looks like a birds nest of YUM. Kitoks is on 18th street in the same building its been in since the Korean family opened it. GO!

Great little hole-in-the-wall place. Im from out of town just passing through when I noticed the place after getting lost. Had one of their signature burgers and it was delicious along with their special fries. The owner is a real nice lady, I see why it won an award for best Hole In The Wall place in Waco. Next time Im in town or passing through, Ill be sure to get lost again and find it. LOL

Been eating here for over 40 years and other than the staff, nothing has changed. But thats the wonderful thing about this place, the food has been consistently awesome with large portions and cheap prices. One of Wacos true, not so hidden gems.

By far the best place to eat in town. Talk about a hole in the wall. Set in a older neighborhood, you probably need to slow down to pull into the parking lot. The food is amazing and it something you dont see in waco often. If you are with the family, they offer burgers and chicken nuggets for the kiddos. I say, go and try it for yourself.

We ordered the bulgogi here all the time. We like how the meat is seasoned and the veggies that comes with it. The owner is very friendly.

Traditional hometown place. When I moved here 24 years ago, I was told I needed to eat here. Have a Liplocker and Oriental Fries. Food was amazing. My server was very sweet and attentive. Im proud to have a place like this in Waco...even if it is across town. 3/13/20 - Came for a Liplocker and Oriental fries. Amazing!!! Great service. Its just like I remember from when I first moved here.

If you are visiting Waco you HAVE to stop by this staple. The liplocker and oriental fries are a must. This place was a write up in NYT for goodness sake! Known for the famous aforementioned oriental fries (invented here) & burger. Been here since 1975 and Wacoans love this hidden treasure. A must!

I was excited to order the oriental fries as it seemed to be a fan fav. The look was fun and unique but they weren t what I imagined as they were unsalted with no seasoning. The burger was pretty good. It wasn t amazing but it was a nice solid burger. Not sure if i d return but i m glad I finally got to try it out. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

This little hole in the wall is awesome! Ive been coming here for almost 30 years... the service can be hit and miss, but the food is always awesome. They have some traditional Korean dishes that are really good, as well as one of the best hamburgers in town. The thing that keeps most people coming back is the oriental fries. These things are unusual, but they are so good!
