This hotel is outdated and definitely needs some TLC to represent the Hilton Brand. The outside pool area is very nice and looks relaxing. But the room in particular room 415 is very old and outdated. Our room had the ceiling peeling in the shower. it looks like other repair work was done to the restroom. We were there last week for a conference. There were no other rooms available so we were stuck in this room. My husband s employer definitely should receive a reimbursement. The owners of his company are silver members and we are diamond members. I will never stay here again.

Ive reviewed this property in the past (2 years ago) and Im back to let someone know that this is one of the very few places Id stay for leisure. Im a crew member and this is my airlines hotel of choice when in this city. Ive been with my airline for almost 3 years so my relationship with this Hilton has been that strong too. Id like to say, the consistency with the front desk agents takes me back to when I was a Hilton employee. Maybe its because we are crew and have a contract here but the consistent feeling of being spoiled, the consistent kindness and efficiency Ive always experienced here has to be commended. Thank you so much Hilton Waco for the consistent welcome, even when weve checked in at 1am. The rooms well, they could use a facelift but clean sheets and towels are always there and thats never missed a beat. The gym facilities as well as pool area is very pleasant and always clean. And the location is everything.

Incompetent staff. Dont stay here. I booked a one-night Hilton Honors stay using points. When I checked in and went to my assigned room, it was already occupied. These idiots gave my room away. It took about 15 minutes for the receptionist to figure out what to do, and they still screwed it up. They gave me a new room and told me the cost. I told them it was a HH rewards stay. They charged me $144 for the room anyway, almost a month later! Ive stayed here many times, but never again. Unacceptable!

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs! Great restaurant and bar! Rooms: Very comfortable and clean! Nearby activities: Baylor, Magnolia Farms, Downtown Waco, Texas Ranger Museum, and Czech Stop. Safety: Park your vehicle in the convention center parking, they have cameras. Walkability: Plenty of places to walk to from the hotel! Food and drinks: The restaurant is under-rated! Great service and great food!

First off, the check in staff could not have been less engaged. Our room needed a lot of love, the bathroom shower rod was bent and kept the shower curtain from containing the water, the damage from the water was unkept, our bathroom outlet did not work. Stay out of room 406, moreover, stay somewhere else. It wasnt worth the money. Hilton should take note. Side note, this post wouldnt allow photos, which I took.

Bring your own towel. Seem to be a shortage at hotel. Lobby staff seem to either be new or distracted. Breakfast staff amazing and only good part of stay. Rooms: 3 towels for 4 people. Room next to elevator not recommended. And hopefully not loud guests as walls pretty thin. Walkability: Close to restaurants and places we were visiting. Noteworthy details: Friendly breakfast staff amazing

This is likely the hotel that will end my attempt at continued loyalty to the Hilton Brand. To understand, over 10 years ago another Hilton hotel completely screwed me on my wedding night. I didnt set foot in a Hilton Branded hotel for over 10 years, instead preferring Hyatt and Drury Inns. I decided to give Hilton another shot and it only took 2.5 years for Hilton, specifically this hotel to screw it up again. And I travel for work regularly, having earned Diamond since my return by staying in Hilton properties. Despite trying to get a manager to call me back to discuss the issue (I spoke to front desk), they never did. And when I reached out to Hilton, they didnt even address my real issue. It wouldnt have cost Hilton any more money to help me out. In fact, my proposal would have cost me more money and ultimately given more money to Hilton properties. Instead, Ive now spent thousands of dollars at non-Hilton properties as a result of this hotel. So, give your loyalty to a brand the actually does things to reward loyalty. 10 years using Hyatt and Drury properties and not one major issue. Hilton made it 2.5 years. If someone from Hilton wants to respond, you already have my info, you can figure it out and call me. Ill gladly change my mind if I can get an appropriate response.

The room appeared clean; there was a plasma T. V. (dont let the rabbit ears on the emoji fool you) , coffee machine with tea and coffee options and a small refrigerator. The bed and pillows were soo comfortable. The bathroom needs a bit more effort put into it. We found mold on the tiles and around the safety handle bar. This issue was addressed and handled promptly. Breakfast came with the price of the room for 2 guests. I choose this hotel because of the Hilton reputation and its proximity to the tourist sites. We had a nice visit in Waco and will be returning again. Nearby activities: The suspension bridge, Historic Elm st, Magnolia Silos, Hotel 1928, The Dr Pepper museum, Texas Ranger museum, Baylor University bear habitat , plenty of chain restaurants, Sascees Soul Food restaurants are all within a 6 mile or so radius of ea other Walkability: If you find a good parking spot in the downtown area, most of the tourist sites mentioned are within walking distance, for a reasonably healthy person.

We stayed here for our Baylor visit. Conveniently located with easy, free parking. Lots of food options right across the street and a fun dive bar that was open until at least midnight with pool tables and an arcade win! However, the hotel itself is in need of upgrades and was very, very loud. There was a train that went though in the middle of the night that blasted its horn the entire time. In fairness, you would have heard this no matter what hotel you chose in downtown Waco but more modern, soundproof windows might have helped. Door closures were unusually loud and we had what sounded like a heavy metal banging in our rooms about every 15 minutes all night long. Possibly an HVAC issue? Also, minor issue but sort of indicative of the whole experience no limes at the bar. Really? We will avoid staying here again even though we are generally Hilton chain loyalists.

The outside pool area is beautiful, the inside of the rooms, not so much. Bed was squeaky and old. The walk in shower leaked all the way out into the room making the floor so slick, glad we did not fall. They put us in a handicap room, and all tht water is a hazard. The room was very outdated. One of the other guest in another room had no hot water for 2 days. This is more a 2.5 star hotel, not 3.5-4 as rated. The front desk people were less than friendly, seemed overwhelmed, and like we were bothering them on check in.

I have stayed at this property three times in recent months. The rooms are great, the front desk staff is accommodating and friendly and overall its a nice hotel. Yes I would recommend it to friends. The breakfast in the morning is exactly what I would expect for Texas, its the only time I get to eat biscuits and gravy and its good. I dont often feel the need to put a negative comment but this one cant go overlooked. The bartender that works in the afternoons; his name is Danny is an outright imbecile. Hes unprofessional, unkept and talks to you like youre one of his drinking buddies, not like youre a guest at a legacy brand hotel.. Not what I would expect at a Hilton property. He should display a more professionalism and decorum when hes at work. For example, when I was there last week, he was more interested in his cell phone and playing music to entertain himself than taking care of the customers that were paying. I would avoid this guy at all cost, hes an aggravating embarrassment to the Hilton brand and this property.

Great hotel and great location. Awesome place to spend New Years Eve 2023 to New Year 2024. Right across from the hotel and all around are endless options of gift shops, restraunts/bars, parks/walking trails, statues/ bridges, monuments, and all sorts of fun entertainment. Everything upon arrival from the hotel itself to its friendly staff was very open and welcoming. My room was also clean, welcoming, well organized, and spacious. Only downfall for me as a flight attendant is there was no microwave in my hotel room. Other than that, I had a mini fridge and a coffee maker. Definitely recommend it if youre looking for a nice hotel stay that checks all the boxes. Note that there is no loud music or noise during your stay. The entertainment is a nice walk away from the hotel, so theres no loud noise or disturbance of any kind.

The hotels are having major issues and employees that didn t know what to do that I won t get into here. We showed up here at the Hilton at 3am in the morning with no place to stay. They got us a room and took care of us. I will only stay at this Hilton from now on when we come to Waco a couple times a year. I imagine the employees will say they were only doing their job. Lovely time visiting in Waco! Hilton Waco was reasonably priced and located well for us. Its walking distance from several downtown sites and located right along the Brazos walking trails - started our mornings along the Brazos being met with friendly good morning greetings from the locals on their walks. We then would have delicious breakfast goodies served with smiles from the hotel buffet & staff. Like how they individually wrapped up the pastries so they wouldnt dry out - very clean & organized. Met several hotel staff, all very friendly and welcoming, and a common remark was how much they loved working at this hotel. This sentiment was reflected in the joyful way people went about the work of serving guests and the quality of work performed. Especially kind was Adi Smith, who checked on our stay, taking extra time to visit with us to make sure we were comfortable and welcomed - so nice to meet her. Our room was so clean and well prepared (8th floor). No hotel is perfect - my husbands pecan crusted salmon was dry and the rice tasted slightly off... but one bad meal wasnt enough to keep us from thoroughly enjoying our stay, as the friendly staff & great service well made up for it! Room AC worked great - rm 820 might need a new mattress...dip in the right side. We spoke with housekeeping, front desk, breakfast and dinner staff, and Yasser from the bar - they all made us feel right at home. We will definitely consider Hilton Waco our go - to hotel in Waco! Well done, yall! See ya next time.

We stopped in for Starbucks and drinks after our self guided tour of Chisolm Trail. The hotel was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bar service was impeccable.

Update - 2023 Stayed here again on June 18, 2023. Still great. Overslept, so still can not comment on the breakfast. Original Review: 2022 Excellent location. Walking distance to area restaurants and attractions. Staff is friendly and handles any issue that arises quickly. We chose to eat at the local restaurants so cant rate the hotels eating establishment except to say it looked good. They also have a bar if you want a night cap before heading off to bed. No issues with the room.

The staff experience was horrible. They kept giving us rooms and when we got there people were already in them. It took them until 6 p.m. To get us a room.

Hilton Waco was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful! They not only sent up a pack & play but set it up and put a sheet on. We also had a water spill and needed new bedding shortly after arriving. They promptly came and changed all the bedding for us! The pool was great! Located near the Cameron Park Zoo, Magnolia Market, and numerous restaurants! Highly recommend.

Mixed bag. Newer carpet in halls and service at check in was very helpful, but did write the wrong room number down on our keys, so we went to the room designated only to be met by a half dressed man, who had checked in just 30 minutes before our arrival. The room was clean overall, but had some issues. Older furnishings and for folks used to a memory foam mattress and neck pillows the way to firm king mattress was lacking real comfort. The pillows were huge, but didn t support the head and neck well alone and were too thick if stacked. The bowed shower curtain to increase space was loose and hung down, dragging the curtain to the floor. Door jams and been updated and holes from old hardware were filled rather than new doors installed. We found a silver ring in the toilet mid afternoon of our full day, and realized it was a ceiling fixture for the sprinkler head in the bathroom. HVAC was moist coming on and off during the night. Also, some train noise overnight and some youngsters racing down Franklin Ave, could disturb a light sleeper. Catering department and food was a highlight. Extremely accommodating catering staff, who served two special meals with Bison Meat brought in by an outside supplier. Quiet, attentive, efficient, accommodating and considerate catering team. Nice job from conference services team! Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants and shops within east walking distance as is the river and pedestrian bridge. 100 to the convention center and about 0.5 miles to the Magnolia Silo s Food and drinks: Complimentary Breakfast was great. Go buffet/continental or order up a custom Omlette or a Texas shaped Belgian waffle.

Food and drinks: Food at hotel restaurant was delicious and the evening male bartender definitely made the stay great and actually made me a drink that I saw one TikTok.

You have to ask for your room to be replenished. Breakfast no longer complimentary. Shower difficult to operate. Tv desk not dusted, paint needed touching up. Bed comfortable. View was nice. Very convenient to other restaurants. Scrambled eggs on hotel buffet seemed artificial. Rooms: See above

When we first got to the hotel we had issues getting our room . First they said they didnt have a room under my name but later found out that they gave our room away to someone else who supposedly had my exact name. Then they said they fixed it and gave us our room keys but when we went up to the room it was not the right one! After going back downstairs we finally got our room but when we pulled the covers back on the bed was a weird looking bug and nasty stains on the sheets that looked pretty fresh so we called front desk and they sent someone up to change sheets. Friendly staff but not a great expierience at this hotel.

We are big fans of Hilton s however this place was scary. It was so outdated , had a very strange smell. Was dark and our lights kept flickering . We did our best to busy so that all we had to do was sleep here . The best part of this hotel was the back patio. I would have preferred to sleep out there !

I am an honor member and recently stayed at the Hilton by the convention center in Waco Texas. There were a block of rooms held until April 1 for the Crafters Convention there. I couldn t get my honors number to work so I called the Hotel and spoke with Byron, this was in February. I asked about the Crafters discount and he told me all the rooms were booked. I told him there was no way. He said he would check and put me on hold. I had also asked about my emotional support animal and he told me yes as long as I had all the documentation, which I did to include my therapist letter. While I was on the phone I went to the Crafters Website and guess what, there rooms were there for the discounted price. When he got back on the phone he said yes they were all booked up. I then told him I booked it online and I didn t appreciate him trying to not only get more money from me but I knew that if the blocked rooms weren t all booked the Crafters Convention would be out money for them also. As soon as I hung up I called the Crafters Convention CEO, Brenda Johnson, my best friend, and told her what happened. She immediately called them to let them know she knew of there deceptive behavior. She then had numerous people contact her with the same issue. Also when I checked in they said I couldn t have my emotional support animal. After letting them know Byron said I could as long as I had my documentation they let me for an extra $100Not cool. Noteworthy details: Well if you like a $20 breakfast or $10 if you just want cereal

Really loved my stay here. I came for a conference and have food allergies that I thought were being accounted for by the conference organizers. The banquet staff stepped up when I realized the conference organizers had not done anything with my allergy info. I had amazing food quickly prepared at a moments notice. The rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating as well.
