Unfortunately, we went by on Sunday, and the even though it says 24 hours, the security guard wouldnt let us in unless we were employees. Shame, I love that architecture and time period and would have loved to just walked through the main floor. So not 24 hours like it is advertised.

Love love love love love love this building. So many floors, the people at the front desk are always very nice. And the break room on the 16th floor is cool. They have bathrooms that alternate genders on each floor and I did not want to go up or down to use the women restroom so I just used a mens bathroom, and it was very clean and nice which is surprising for a mens restroom.

The most amazing, astounding building in Waco. I ve heard the ALICO called a toothpick in a pancake and that is such a perfect encapsulation of its beauty. While Waco may seem boring and flat, the ALICO really shines light on how beautiful this city is. I ve taken countless pictures here and will include a few to this review. When you cross the Brazos to Waco, the ALICO Building is the first thing you see! And that s how you know you re close to home. Such an historic building, full of history and character! You haven t truly been to Waco until you take a selfie in front of the ALICO!

The Alico building is no longer available for touring. There is no longer an observation deck or tours in the building. It is a lawyer and insurance business. The Alico is a wonderful building though. With its glorious marble, gold and mirror interior mixed with original iron door knobs and mail slots, push pop light switches and modernized necessities, this over a century old building is still a spectacular site to see to this day. Fun fact: it has a old fashioned original mail shoot top to bottom that you can drop mail in on any floor. Also the center spiral marble staircase goes all the way to the top.

There was once a ghost tour that included the building but it stopped. For the life of me I cant understand why there is not a legit tour of the building built around local history and architecture design..or even a high rise restuarant...come on Waco. I love this town so much. But get on it.
