When I say that I m looking for a local, hole in the wall place .this is what I mean. When I asked for water and the cashier told me that it was in a pitcher next to the fountain drinks, I knew I hit the jackpot. Burgers are very good here. Ordered Texas Toothpics for a size which is fried onions and jalapeño strips. Great spot and will be on my regular rotation now when I visit Waco.

There are too many American grill burger joints in this town to recommend this one. Is it edible, sure, but thats about it. Honestly, I would eat at whataburger before here. But Health Camp or Burgertology or even Whizzbangs would be a much better choice. Everything is so run down, so dirty, so subpar. Sad to see a long standing institution like this fall into disrepair.

If you love good burgers, you GOTTA hit this place up! This establishment doesn t look like much from the outside, and the inside is decorated with vintage car license plates and old checkered tablecloths, booths from the 80s/90s. The real gem is their food- fantastic, mouth watering, finger licking American style burgers shine through. We ordered the doubles basket and we loved everything. The fries and curly fries were crispy and the food was delivered fresh off the grill. I highly recommend and plan on returning soon! Please note: there is no formal parking lot, but random grass parking behind the establishment. We had a toddler with us, but think it s be difficult to fit multiple children or babies into the seating area because it is limited and a bit cramped. Those with wheelchairs might find it hard to navigate in between the booths during the lunch hour on weekends (we went on a Saturday). Parking: Located behind the establishment on grass Kid-friendliness: 1 high chair available and no booster seats were seen Wheelchair accessibility: It is very tight to move easily in the establishment due to the small venue size.

Great food, amazing kind customer service. Very clean. They wipe down the tables as soon as someone gets up so it is ready for the next guest. Food can out hot and perfectly seasoned. I found Dubl-R while searching Google Maps for new restaurants to try, and boy, Im glad I found them. The burgers here are truly old-fashioned and reminded me of home. The burger patties were cooked perfectly, and my bacon was crisp just the way I like it. After the first bite, I knew Id be back. The fries, however, werent anything special. Id request my fries to be salted next time. The service was welcoming and fast. The atmosphere was dated, being that its an old building. The menu could be updated with a new lamented one also. If youre in the area and looking for a great burger. Give Dubl-R a try. I was satisfied.

Im usually extremely satisfied with the burgers here but today I stopped in during the lunch rush to place a to go order for 2 cheese burgers with fries.Sadly there were more onions than meat which was a very small thin patty that didnt even fill the bun.I basically gave $19 away because I tossed out the majority of the fries,which were cold and only ate the tiny piece of meat... This has never happened to me here, but I do usually dine in... Sorry, but in this day and age, I only allow someone to do me wrong once, so we will not go back anytime soon... its gone down...

Wow! I have been wanting to try Dubl-R for a long time, but the timing never worked out. Well today we were in the area and I made it a priority. When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly employee who asked us what we wanted to order, and we said we werent sure because it was our first time, she took a little time to explain a few of the common items and a different option or two. Then the phone rang and she had to take a to-go order, and without skipping a beat, another employee stepped up to help us. Now thats GREAT service. I ordered a double double combo with tots, and my wife ordered a cheeseburger, both were amazing. Juicy tender burgers, well cooked, toasted buns with the perfect amount of crunch, and now Im leaving full and very satisfied. I will definitely recommend Dubl-R if you are looking for a great burger, and better service.

This was me and my husbands first time here, and we were looking for a new burger place. I was very impressed with the front cashier who helped us order! The food was excellent! Double R & R Burger was amazing. Really full of flavor, a bit messy but it was manageable. Dr. Pepper there was better than any can or bottle Ive had before. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Family atmosphere. The reason for the 3 stars on the atmosphere was just because it felt really cramped and to get to the seating you basically had to walk behind the counter. But over all. Super good experience. The service gets an A+ because several employees were friendly, social, and checked in on me. I discussed sports and got perspectives on how some of the employees viewed life in McClennan County. There are HDTVs in the restaurant, so one can enjoy a game or other channels while dining. The double cheeseburger was excellent, and my onion rings and tater tots were fine. One of Wacos hidden treasures. Thank you Google search! Not only the best food, but a dinning experience. Went for lunch, and the place was hopping, but still was able to get a booth to watch the staff work that grill. Wait staff was so friendly, and out going. Customers sitting at counter were obviously regulars. We will be too! Husband had Cheeseburger & Onion Rings, I had Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich & Fries. Both were amazing. Dave introduced himself as we were leaving, asked about our meals, and invited us back. We will be knowing Dave and the rest of the staff by name. This restaurant has offered great burgers made the old-fashioned way for more than 20 years. This restaurant serves hamburgers and side orders at very reasonable prices, and they are all absolutely delicious. hamburgers are made to order just like you want them. Wheelchair bound, the door was the only thing I could navigate. I was able to park at the first booth , then transfer to booth. My guest is 66 310# and seating is for smaller folks, so he was extremely uncomfortable. The bar stools are authentic, looked good, but not practical in todays society. OK. So its a burger place, well yeah it is, but you will find a place that screams home made with the atmosphere to the service and the food is great, so yeah it better then the other burger joints. If you dont try it then your missing out.

I started going to Dubl-R in the mid nineties, left Waco for twenty years and now that Im back, very glad to see it hasnt changed much if any. Great burgers, friendly people and good old fashioned burger spot ambiance. Now my son loves it, and hes not the biggest burger fan, so you know its good.

Awesome burgers. Building is a bit on the worn down side and crowded,but both add to the homey feel. Cash register people and cooks are alll friendly with the clientele and crack a joke with everyone. Fun to eat here. Whenever I have someone new from the company, I make it a point to bring them here.
