The place was great & my friends & I were having a blast up until the point when I was asked to leave because I wasnt tipping the bartenders. Hard to believe huh but Ive got it on recording. Boo hoo cry me a river & get another job then. I usually dont tip until I close my tab out. Im not gonna tip the bartenders every time they get me a beer. When people go to an establishment to eat, drink & enjoy themselves they dont tip the waiter/waitress everytime they come to the table, they tip when they cash out. Same rules apply for the bartenders. Get it together folks! Word travels fast especially in this town. Thats a good way to lose good customers that otherwise would have come back. Now when theyre putting in effort & actually mixing a drink thats different, then yeah Ill put in the extra effort as well. Yall should think about who your customers may be. You just never know! For this reason alone I WILL NOT SPEND ANOTHER PENNY @ THIS ESTABLISHMENT You screwed yourself out of that tip & Im a good tipper...when the credits due.

Amazing spot. Celeste was our waiter she made our experience even better. She recognized the chipotle ranch for the pickles! The Mexican candy shots were good and their cider selection is nice. Highly recommend this spot!

Awesome spot in downtown Waco near the Dr. Pepper museum! Service was quick and genuine. Good was great with big portion sizes. It s a huge venue with pool tables and an arcade room. My only complaint was that the temperature was quite warm indoors.

Please bring back the Beyond Meat option for Crickets burgers!!! I love coming to crickets often but there are so few vegetarian options (aside from the nachos or some random side). Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options now that they got rid of the Beyond Meat Patty.

Crickets draft house was a new experience. They have a wide space inside and plenty of tables and chairs. They also have a bar section. They are clean and have salt, pepper and ketchup available at the table. They have a variety of items to choose from. We ordered fries with cheese and tater tots. Also a jalapeño burger with bacon or you can get a simple cheese burger if you have kids. This was a great stop I m Waco and recommend if you re looking for a restaurant burger place.

First off, I chose this location to celebrate a birthday only to be let down drastically. Second, the drinks. My iced tea tasted like dirty water, and my girlfriends beer wasnt even what she asked for. Because she is sweet as pie and doesnt like confrontation she drank it. Third, when our food came... OMG! All of our food came out cold. My girlfriend and I got the steak plates and they actually had the nerve to put a cold salad on a hot plate with the steak and fries that was completely stone cold. I sent my plate back I just couldnt do it. Again because my girlfriend is nonconfrontational she stayed quiet and ate her burnt over cooked over seasoned steak. For the price of these plates this was the worse food I have ever had. I have worked in alot of restaurants in my life and I dont know how this place is still in business. Maybe because college kids dont know any better.

Dishonest Marketing We went to crickets on the 4th after seeing the footlong wagyu hotdogs were $10. We ordered them and were then charged the full price of $15. After pointing out the advertisement we were told that was only applicable to a base hotdog with no additions. There is no option for a base hotdog on the menu, there are only three listed and they each have toppings. Our server did not bother to share this information until after giving us the check, when we had asked about other specials earlier. This feels very dishonest and manipulative. This information was not specified anywhere at any time. We will not be eating here again. The food was good, but be wary of shady business practices.

We chose this restaurant because there was a 30 minute wait at Nena s two doors down, and this was a mistake. We waited 15 minutes at the bar with no bartender for 10 of those minutes and couldn t order a drink for all that time, and then when we got to the table, we waited about 40 minutes for the food to come, most of it cold. I would give this a miss. Apparently, they are understaffed but still seated people at every table, which meant that it took forever to people get their food and their bills. Tables sat un-bussed for more than 10 minutes after people left. The food was OK, but the experience was not great.

Cricket s is our MUST GO TO restaurant in Waco. We took a tip from Tim B s review a year ago and he was spot on. Get the Peanut Butter burger all the way and ask for a side of Mike s Hot Honey to dip/pour your burger. INSANE! The staff are incredible, drink selections are amazing, and the atmosphere is always great!

Weve been here for almost 2 hours. They took our drinks order when we sat down and then 30 minutes later came with our drinks then walked off and another 30 minutes go by and she comes back to take our order. Weve been waiting for too long. She came out and said that it would be here in 2 to 3 minutes but we waited another 15 and nothing. We will leave very soon. The service is trash, the atmosphere is loud and covered with tvs. It is not worth it.

Y all I m seriously appalled at the service and management of this restaurant. We clearly got served the wrong table of food, and then the waitress argued with us over it. The manager refused to come over to help, and in the end they didn t even get our check right or take the items off. It really was the worst restaurant experience I ve ever had. I just wanted what we ordered and left sad and hungry with two kids. It made for an unpleasant evening.

This will definitely become a favorite stop for us, we both tried something totally different, and loved the atmosphere! A huge local beer list, great food, and overall just loved the place! Well, I came for dinner and drink to watch the game after a long flight into town and sat at the bar. It took 10 minutes to get the bartender to get off his phone to come over and take my order. Then my food never showed up, mind you there were three total people at the bar, not busy at all. The bartender NEVER came down to see how I was doing. I had to get off my chair and walk down to him to get a refill. For real, get rid of this guy. Night of 5/19/24 at 8:18pm for owners reference. It s just not what it used to be. The food at Cricket s has never been great. It s always been about the beer selection. I keep giving them one more chance. But that ends tonight. Beer selection means nothing if it isn t cold enough. Bad brunch experience, won t return for anything else. We tried to visit the restaurant next door, which is fantastic however, their wait time was over an hour. We were in need of a quick brunch, so we opted for Crickets which was near empty. Should have been a red flag. The food was cold, not as described on the menu, and the service was awful. We waited 20 minutes for beverages (for a group of 7: 6 waters, 3 coffees, and 1 unsweet tea). After multiple trips to the bar, our cold coffee finally arrived. 45 minutes after ordering food, it arrived again, cold. A couple ordered the Chicken and Pig, a couple the French toast, a burger, pancakes, and a breakfast burrito. The Chicken and Pig was described as fried chicken tenders and bacon-infused housemade belgian waffles; served with mike s hot honey and cinnamon maple butter. No bacon in the waffles, no hot honey, and no cinnamon maple butter. Instead, we were given cold chicken and waffles completely dry. Not to worry, we were able to at least ask for syrup since we had to also ask for silverware and napkins. By the time 15 minutes had passed and the syrup, silverware, and napkins arrived, the food was even colder. The chicken was dry and tough, the fresh strawberries on the French toast mushy, the breakfast burrito and burger both underwhelming, we were never given any refills, and our server was almost always across the building. If you re thinking, these people probably shouldn t have gone to a bar for brunch, you re absolutely right. Touché. But don t advertise brunch if you can t deliver. Also, I m not convinced any iteration of Crickets is likely to win me over. Food: Service: Value: Crickets misses on all three. Honestly, it s not worth your time or money.

I was at the Cricket Grill around lunch time on a weekday. Apparently, a couple of servers had called in and the bartender, Sierra and the manager were taking up the slack. The most awesome was manager, Audrey, who couldn t even accept tips! Even so, she worked tirelessly and with a great attitude! The beer selection is exceptional and the food I had was great. I don t even where to start The only positive I can possibly think of is that it has pool tables and it s close to our hotel. From the moment we were seated our waitress, Catalina, gave us nothing. She immediately started off with the excuse they were too busy when there was maybe 15 people in the whole building with at least 10 servers present. Upon getting our waters we asked for straws which she cut us off mid sentence saying they were out, no biggie right? Wrong. All the other people seated after us were given straws by other waiters. Onto the food not only did it take forever to come out it was less than warm and wrong. There was a unknown cream on the hash browns, mustard on the sandwich when asked for it dry (and was not disclosed it was on there in the menu) the strawberries were moldy, sausage was undercooked, and so on. The bathrooms had mold in the toilets and were gross. I d only recommend this place the get a beer and play pool.

On a Sunday afternoon, a place to sit at the bar and sip at a beer while charging electronics. This place is absolutely family friendly and I could tell by the kids that were hyped up on Coke running about with the occasional piercing scream from a four year old blonde girl. As well, the scraping of chairs on the concrete floor were grating. I did sit for about 20 minutes before the bartender noticed I was here, which was fine. If I wanted to place an order, I could have waved her down. Beer was flat - Southern Roots Alico - but I didnt really want it anyway. I bought it to pay for my space and get my laptop and phone from 15% to 80%. Oh, and I was never able to get the wifi to work. Hooray for my hotspot. Burgers and other appetizers looked good. The waitress in the section near the bar was definitely moving to keep folks satisfied. So maybe next time I try a full meal (other than the noise). Parking: Big parking lot.

I ve come here several times. They have a great beer selection, a small food menu and a lot of pass time games to play like pool, shuffle board and an arcade. One time, we had some time to burn and just went to play pool. It wasn t overcrowded or too loud to have a good time. Over the past few years, we hadn t had a bad experience. However, we stopped by today to celebrate my sister s birthday and we were told we are out of chicken and fries . So we had to order a $7 cheese quesadilla for our 2 year old daughter instead of splitting tenders and fries like we usually would. This quesadilla was a joke. It was a barely toasted cheap tortilla with cheese that wasn t fully melted and no side. This will probably be the last time we will go to Cricketts. It was a $40 meal for 2 sandwiches and a cheese quesadilla. Not a good value anymore.

The place has a great bar selection & reasonable drink prices. Pool tables & upstairs patio make for a great atmosphere, HOWEVER the food was awful. I ordered the Chicken Blanco which was a very dry pasta with breaded chicken on top. The batter for the chicken was extremely thick & mushy. I ended up pulling it off. My husband got the Hickory Cheddar BBQ burger. The meat was dry, lacked seasoning, and tasted like it had been reheated. We did enjoy the Bacon Queso Tots. But that was all we liked

Stay away from the chicken Mac n cheese. $18 for a big bowl of Mac n cheese which was pretty tasty. The problem is the chicken is terrible. You would expect a nice chicken breast but it is not. Dark meat and not a very good cut and it is heavily breaded. Over fried so the outside is too hard and the chicken is over cooked around the outside.

I got the brisket melt or, as another customer called it, a brisket grilled cheese. It could have used a little more flavor, a special sauce or something to make it more than just a grilled cheese. It was filling, big portion, and still good. Another customer suggested to substitute jalapeños instead of pickles. I think that might be a good suggestion. Although, I think a special sauce would make it more exciting and delicious. Great venue with fantastic service.

Was in town for the weekend and decided to try this place because of the 45-minute wait at Ninfas next door. We got in and sat down. The seats were not comfortable, and the booth was tight. The menu is very bar foody, so I didnt eat. But everyone else attempted to. They ordered the Chicken Nachos, Pesto Chicken and Mac, Chicken Alfredo, and a Chicken Quesadilla. When the server brought 2 of the dishes only, I knew they were in for a lackluster dining experience. After about 30 minutes, they eventually brought all of the food. They said the food was terrible. I asked to taste it to see how bad it actually was. The Mac was scorched and tasted like burnt cheese, even though there was hardly any cheese. The Alfredo pasta tasted like straight sour cream. It was really pathetic. The quasadilla was limp because the tortilla wasnt properly browned, and the cheese oils absorbed into the tortilla. And the nachos were just okay. There were no complaints about the drinks, but the service and food were so terrible that we left without eating. The Director of Operations comped the check, but it was so late that there werent any other decent options to go to. Probably wont give them another chance.

We came to Waco on a business trip. We visited Cricket s after our hotel suggested their laid back atmosphere Walked into the door and Jackson greeted us with a smile. Sat at the bar where the mixologist dream team of Tracy and Brandon took amazing care of us! Their manager Mike even introduced himself. Their upstair s patio is so inviting, with oversized comfy lounge furniture. The food is wonderful and cooked to order. The have pool tables, shuffleboard and just a good vibe period. Highly recommend!!!!!

Seated before brunch was over. Was ignored repeatedly by servers until it was too late for brunch. We asked to still be able to get brunch since it was only a few minutes past the end time and we had sat before brunch was over and was told no. I do not recommend this place for their service. Wish I could tell you more about the food, but since I was denied brunch, I couldn t enjoy the meal I did have. If you like subpar service, then by all means go here. I ll never go back.

Arrived on family weekend not knowing their menu changes to Game Day menu - very basic menu - nothing mentioned on their website that we noticed- ordered a burger and asked to add a fried egg - burger came out without the egg - had to wait another 10-15mins to get my egg - so sat there watching my family eat their meals - overpriced drinks and not really good mojitos - prior to eating went to wash my hands - soap dispenser was not working- told the hostess - after we finished our food - went back to use restroom- soap dispenser still not working and a worker had just washed his hands - water only - and I said they haven t fixed the darn thing - he said I ll let the manager know - so none of the workers using the restroom had been washing their hands. First time eating at this place and terrible experience. I ordered shrimp poblano tacos, waitress brings me pasta with shrimp. After I tell her that was not what I ordered she said, sorry we didn t have tortillas , It would have been nice to be told this beforehand and not her take it upon herself to bring me what she wanted, wow, I have never been to a restaurant where the waitress brings what she wants and the customer is not told ahead of time. Needless to say, I ordered different item , and asked to substitute mash cauliflower , which I did get but were cold !!! After the bill is received I noticed an extra charge for the mash cauliflower, which I did ask if there was additional charge if I substitute and she said no . Regardless I see charge for the cauliflower mash and she mentions, they are charged separately however after looking at menu , my plate said it came with a salad and fries ..the experience just got worse and worse .I really don t see how this restaurant is rated a top restaurant. I will NEVER come back . Worse experience at a restaurant . I would give it a less than 1 !

Very nice place. What makes a place even better are the staff. In my case the bar staff. Bartenders were not really friendly and basically ignored us until they had no choice. When they did take our drink order it was over priced. Ive been in some fancy places but have never paid more than $20 for a martini. At Crickets it was $24. Left thinking that not only did I dislike the bartenders but I was correct in doing so because I was also over charged. Will be back, just not going to start a tab and tip accordingly.

Great selection of craft beers along with the popular favorites! Employees were great but the food was less than ideal. Very limited menu, just a few lunch items. I had a spicy chicken sandwich that was supposed to have coleslaw. The chicken was soooo thin I have to question if it was really on the sandwich. The batter for the chicken was way too thick and hard. I believe they overcooked it to the point it tasted like reused 30 day old oil. I recommend this place for the beer and fun just don t eat here.

We went for brunch on Fathers Day, which had a limited menu. Bloody Mary itself was tasty, but all of the garnish was pickled and created a strange taste about half way through. The Hipster entree was avocado on sourdough toast, greens, aoili, some kind of vinaigrette and fried egg. The bread was barely toasted on one side. Besides being WAY too much avocado, which unbalanced everything, the avocado wasnt ripe. I couldnt cut it well and it was bitter. Barely any aoili or vinaigrette, so it was basically dry lettuce on bread with a bitter avocado. Topped with a fried egg that was so overcooked it stuck to the roof of my mouth. Pretty inedible all around. The Knife and fork grilled cheese had the same kind of bread, so it got soggy. Cheese was warm for the first few bites. Same overcooked fried egg. Good concepts, poor component ratios and execution. Disappointed in this restaurant choice for our stopover in Waco on Fathers Day. Server was courteous, but food was slow for delivery.
