I ll be honest- this was exactly fine. I ve been to many escape rooms and this is probably the first I would not return to. The puzzles were not well designed and the clues were ambiguous. Also, towards the end, unsolicited clues were given, ie., they told us exactly how to solve the puzzles with no prompting. We probably would not have escaped without the extra help, but at some point we weren t the ones figuring out the room. The staff were also very uncomfortable and awkward. All that to say, it was fun, just not the best designed rooms I ve been to.

When I visited Waco over the summer I did the dinner date puzzle room and OH MY GOD was it incredible!!! It was perfectly paced, and Caitlin (who was our clue-master) gave great hints when we needed them :) This escape room is a great indoor activity to do with friends and/or family for a few hours to get the brain working!!

Had a good time, this escape room was very basic, no real story about the room(we did the paralysis room) and compared to some other escape rooms Ive been to everything was pretty simple(not many props, very minimal decor in the room). Visited the escape room as a collective group bonding exercise with coworkers. Had the opportunity to work collectively as a unit to weasel our way out of the room in a short period of time. Our group was hosted by Michael Z. A great host who made the experience much more enjoyable for our party. Would recommend to anyone for a bonding opportunity.

I went with some of my friends and had the pleasure of doing the Hall of Fame room with our host Michael Zwart. Zwart was a one of kind type of guy. An excellent code master, very polite and made the game night a blast. Not gonna find a guy like this at any other escape room, shout-out to him.

I really enjoy escape rooms- they are so fun! But my experience with Waco Escape Rooms has gotten more and more disappointing the longer theyve been open. The last three rooms we have played have had clues that were poorly maintained and made it extremely difficult to complete the puzzle without needing to ask for a hint- which we wouldnt have needed if the clue wasnt in disrepair. Ive been going to Waco Escape Rooms since they opened in their original location on Lake Air, and its a fun time, but I recommend you go soon after a new room opens so that you arent having to deal with these same issues

This is my second visit to the Waco Escape Room. Both times have been an excellent experience! They are perfectly located downtown Waco near eateries and other attractions. Easy to locate and plenty of parking. The building is clean with plenty of light. The waiting area is inviting and the staff is professional and friendly. The staff does a great job of introducing you to the items in the rooms and administering clues. The rooms are well lit with standard locks and fun puzzles. You take pictures at the end of your experience. And you will want to return for more fun!

Our group had such a blast at Waco Escape Rooms. The attendant gave us great instructions and set us at ease, familiarizing us with all the ways the game worked (how to request clues, what the goals were around the room). The game was so fun (we played the Waco themed room), and we escaped! Buy your spot in advance, you have to choose a day and time, and you can also fill out the waiver online. Have fun!

Went on 5.13.24 just two of us ( we didn t book a room they were able to fit us in last minute) to a Santa Room - escape the North Pole - I have been to other escape rooms and they are really set up well with props that have to do with the theme of the room - this was was just kind of boring to look at not a lot going on 2 desk - 3 filing cabinets - a map on the wall - none of these items were Christmas themed - except possibly the 5 mugs on a desk - MY LARGEST problem was the game monitor kept giving us clues without asking we would look up on the wall and there would be a clue after the first time I said we didn t ask for a clue they apologized every time we looked up there was a NEW CLUE she said oh we didn t take a clue off for that one after several times of this getting clues when we did not ask she explained sorry about that we are training someone do that when someone is not actively playing the game as once you have the clue you have the clue you can not erase it - kind of ruins the fun of figuring it out - the other complaint is some of the colors had worn off the props making it difficult to see the clue - still had a fun time with my child but would not go again

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY OR MEDICAL CONDITION! As an individual with a disability, I occasionally, am unable to participate in certain activities. Most businesses I encounter are accommodating to me and others with a medical condition. Waco Escape Rooms was NOT. Immediately after booking online and paying, I then got the waiver and after reading it, realized I would be unable to participate. I called to ask for a refund and was denied and told I could only transfer my booking. Unfortunately, I do not live in Waco and dont know anyone to transfer it to. the Manager on the phone was rude and did not want to help. She chose instead to just keep repeating a policy that violates the Americans With Disabilities Act. I am sad to have to leave a bad review, but I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the way they treat folks with disabilities. Truly disappointed in the experience.

The individual puzzles for the 2 rooms I did were mostly fun and unique. For the first room, our Game Master was very kind and enhanced the overall experience. For the second room the other Game Master was a little pushy at first and not as helpful with clues as Im used to. Pros: Variety of puzzles + Everything was in working condition + Even as a seasoned player I got to experience puzzles I hadnt yet done Cons: Less than ideal Game Master/clue-giving + Run-down/not-so-clean props/puzzles/rooms + Unclean restroom + (my biggest complaint) Very poor storytelling/linking of puzzles to a theme or reason for its existence in the room

I ve done every single room here. They re all varying difficulty levels, definitely better for the more experienced escapee than newbies. Honestly my only complaint is some of the clues just don t make sense. Even when given hints they just aren t logical and you have to be led to the answer or told it. Additionally they have several clues that require some sort of athleticism and I m just not a tall athlete lol.

The place is still being renovated or maybe still being built, which is no problem. Perhaps its because me and my girlfriend are spoiled from more theatrical escape rooms (Red Door, Escape Game, etc.), but the Waco Room really isnt anything worth talking about. Sure, they did a great job with what they had, but I wouldnt say we left there going That was really worth it. Some of the puzzles were really creative! However, a couple...were definitely not. One time, we found the combination to open a locked box, which then contained another locked box..........and the key to said locked box? Why have the box be locked in the first place if youre giving the key to it, in fact why have the box at all? All in all, they did a good job with what they had, but it wasnt the greatest time.

The escape room itself was fun and challenging. However the staff there really ruined the fun of it. They nitpicked everything and to be frank were just rude from the beginning to the end. I would not recommend this place solely based on the customer service I received. However if they were to go through and train their staff on customer service or just get new staff that were nice and friendly I d definitely be willing to change my view on this business. But until then, pass on this location. There are plenty of escape rooms and you don t need to worry about rude staff when you are choosing.

I had heard about escape rooms for quite a while now. But with life being busy, I never went. This weekend, a group of my friends and I all went for the first time. We had an amazing time. It was super fun and quite a challenge. Between the 4 of us, we barely escaped in the hour that was given. I most definitely want to go again at some point. The people there were friendly and sweet. They took our picture at the end and gave us little signs to hold up. Was an incredible experience.

Its a fun place, we got the jail house which had a lot of locks to open and well hidden clues. Its good for first timers. Staff is firendly and helpful. Things I wish were better: 1. Made sure the room were quieter. We could hear everybody talking outside. 2. The Jailhouse should be max 5 people. We were 8 of us in there and it was like we were jammed. 2. One lock was broken so we spent 15 minutes trying to unlock only to realize the lock didnt work. The worst part is they had given us free 10 more minutes for the time we lost. Not very good customer service there. 4. Wish the private rooms were cheaper.

It was alright, the Waco Room had no theme to it, which was fine (not very fun but I screwed up and picked a non-themed room) but it was just very basic: mostly just find the number, open the padlock, which gives you another number to open another padlock. Not a lot of complexity to it which was kinda a bummer as we traveled over an hour to get there. The staff had music playing so we couldn t hear the musical clues very well making us tell each other to be quiet so we could hear the clue, which put everyone in a negative mood. It is what it is. I know it s a small family business and they are doing their best. The lady at the front counter was very polite. We may give one of the themed rooms a shot in the future.

We had booked a room about a month ahead of time. When we arrived there was only one other group there. We were told we had to share the room with this group because they were full. There was no one else there. I am not sure how they could tell us they were booked when there was not another person or car around. They did not want to work with us or refunding our money or anything. We needed up having the other group join us in the same room because we basically was given no choice. The management was just not very friendly to work with.
