Playground: Nice play ground, but our kids or visitors cant use the bathroom. The city has locked it up so people cant go inside. No bathroom or porta can, available. Dog-friendliness: So friendly, that strays just run loose. Watch your furbabies, keep them close to you. Picnic area: I give a B- if this was a grade . Not because the city didnt make the area beautiful. Its just already occupied by those who have no place to call home at times.

Near Exxon Chemical Plant so it is Completely Neglected. Real Shame since it is our only Lake. Needs to be Developed. An Inner City Lake that is Completely Ignored. Does not happen anywhere else. Playground: New but Depressing.

Great views, The park is clean and has a extension to Goose Creek Trail. The Entrance On W Texas has no pot holes.

Very chill but need major upkeep so many pot holes big enough to damage your vehicles so be careful. Other than that it has a great park for the kiddos to burn some energy.

Went jogging here at 740 this evening didnt see any homeless ppl.Jogged the whole track even the part on the highway and didnt have any issue 2 kids were smoking a lil skunk on my run but they just being teens. Three guys at the end fishing but they having a beer trying to catch a fish. Had basketball goals and a playground. Could use some love but ppl should invade this place and make it more inviting and the element your worried about will move on! Happy trails, Im usually there in a bandana and tank top. Dont hesitate to speak if you see me. Im from New Orleans and out here for work!

It was a bit scary there. I didnt stay too long and didnt get out of my vehicle. It didnt have the family orientated feel that I get at other parks. There seemed to be homeless people around. The place also needs some touch ups and TLC. I could have loved it because of the scenery of the water but I didnt feel safe.

This park is alright. Back in the early 2000s it was 10X better than it is now. Theres homeless ppl camping out like nothing. The park had trash scattered all around. Me and wife picked up trash around our lunch area, nothing major but we did a little deed to help out the P&R crew.

First impression: not so great. However, it has a very low volume of activity (ie pedestrian traffic and screaming children), which is exactly what I was looking for in the first place. A location with a serene view and as few distractions as possible for meditation. The 3 star rating is mostly due to the parks lack of maintenance, which falls onto the City of Baytown, as the grass was VERY overgrown, no working restrooms (barred & locked doors) but does offer (if you dare, because I certainly DIDNT) a Port-a-John, and the parking lot is in terrible need of being resurfaced. Beware of hella potholes if you drive a low profile vehicle.

Fine to hang out at but wouldnt reccomend bringing kids despite the playground; Crackheads come here a lot and always occupy the pavilion and dock, people smoking blunts in the lot & pretty much just junkies everywhere. Theres also a shady brown van always just parked in the lot where the hospital used to be by the park.

Ive been going to this park since my teens. Now i take my kids there. Plenty for kids to play. Volleyball net, basketball court, trails, etc. Some people even fish out there. Some people think its ok to be smoking in their cars near the park when they have all this open space away from the park. But maybe the police could do something about that. (Cuz it aint tobacco) A little more neighborhood patrol watch and a little less pulling people over can do a lot of good for our community

Great place for kids, picnics, meditation, fishing, and walking. Some groups of kids go up to the park to dance. It is great to watch them get bust a move. Lol I like seeing kids doing something other than causing trouble. I have never seen any real trouble at this park. Unfortunately, kids like to write on everything which is the only bad thing.

Dirty, smells...crazy nats from the stench. Theres a group of 15-20 year old kids with a baby, smoking weed, drinking, sleeping on the little doc. My fiance and I used to walk that whole track. Its just too much, the baby crying in the rain, they need to step up their park game in Baytown. Its pathetic...depressing...nothing a park should be. Sucks! Theres really nowhere else to go in Baytown to walk. Bummer! Dont go! Oh and homeless old people sleeping on the benches along the trail sometimes. Just sad. We def stopped going, the crying baby did it for us last time. Couldnt take it anymore. COME ON BAYTOWN!
