This place is actually doodoo I would never recommend it fast to get but food is dry. I got catfish and that thing was dry and probably from a frozen or left out. Don t get me started with the green beans were dry and tasted like they just came out a can no season and bacon was gray. The only decent thing was the fries but even they were kinda dry. If you really want an edible food I would recommend mc Donald s. (The seasoning on the green beans were from me)

Its definitely a nice spot for good food. Traveling through the area and stopped by to give it a try. The meal exceeded my expectations as the chicken was both crisp and flavorful. The coleslaw and fries were both very good as well.

This was one of the worst meals in my entire life. We were passing through and decided to stop here for old times sake because I remember Grandys from back in the day. I am incredibly disappointed and the only reason I didnt ask for my money back was because my husband gets embarrassed very easily and he would rather just learn the lesson and never eat there again. He had the grilled chicken and I swear to God it was a frozen already cooked store packaged chicken breast that looked and tasted like it was microwaved. The sides are a joke and they were also frozen/pre packaged items that were ice cold when served to us. My fried chicken was ok but I ordered a 2 piece and I got one medium sized piece and a piece so small it couldve been a buffalo wing. I wanted soooo badly to ask for a refund but I love my husband and I didnt want to embarrass him. Please avoid this place at all costs unless you want a terrible meal at a high price.

Nostalgia .. We found a Grandys in Victoria. There is something about that thin frozen chicken fried steak that is fresh out of the freezer. Wish I had a white pepper gravy. The rolls are still super good. Okay, not the best but brings back a lot of great memories. Enjoy your walk down memory lane. We loved the experience.

Never eaten there. Fell for the hype and decided to finally try it. Was not expecting a prefrozen chicken fried chicken patty, no pepper gravy but instead cold lumpy brown gravy, over done pre cooked cold fried okra that was apparently taken from a luke warm steam line and barely warm mashed potatoes. One time was enough for me.

The food was delicious but the benches were horrible the lady sitting behind me was making her leg jump nervously and it shook my side so much it made my back hurt. I was in so much pain I couldnt eat I had to give my food to my husband they really need to update their seating.

Grandys was the best back in the day. Went for nostalgia on Tues. 3 pc dinner. Godawful. 1130 am and EVERYTHING was cold. Chicken tasted a bit off and the texture was strange. The okra tasted like old grease and I could feel the grease coating it. Taters were mediocre but the gravy. That gravy. It was watery but still tasted burnt. Like it was on the warmer till it got too thick and then they kept thinning it with water rather than make a fresh batch. Did I mention that just before the lunch rush everything was cold? I got it to go and didnt feel like turning around and arguing. Its Mon now and Im still not a100%. Drove from Houston for that nonsense. Dont know if I can call it food poisoning but six days later and still dealing with it. What would you call it? Definitely not a blessing. If you are thinking along the same lines as I was dont. Its not worth the time, money, or your health.

Tried this place for the first time today. W have driven by it several times and decided to stop in to give it a try. Big mistake!! It looked like a diner on one half and a fast food restaurant on the other. Weird. Had to ask the manager to turn the TV channel because it was on CNN. When the food came out it looked fine. Nothing special. Tasted like it was all frozen then thrown in deep fryer. The worst part was the drinks. Yes the drinks. I was drinking dust Dr. pepper so I didn t see the black specks that were in my daughter s Sprite ( or whatever they call it now). I thought maybe it was already in the cup so I dumped it out then refilled it. More specks. I have worked in many restaurants so I new hire to take apart a soda machine. I took off the nozzle and wiped it off. There were a few specks. The manager saw what I was doing and said we clean them every night but maybe not perfectly in a sarcastic voice. Then I wiped out the machine itself where the nozzle attaches and that s when I saw it. Black everywhere!!! Mold or something ask over the inside of the soda machine. I took off the nozzle for the Mountain Dew, same! The manager came over and was clearly embarrassed. He began talking then ask off and cleaning then but it was over for me. I dumped all of my families drinks and we left. I will never go back. We ask got home and we are all having stomach issues if you know what I mean. Gross!!! Stay away from this place. There are plenty of other places to eat in Victoria. The health department should shut this place down. No wonder it was one of the only restaurants with virtually no one there at lunch on a Saturday.

So this brunch cost me 4 whole days down. I was diagnosed with food poisoning, which caused numerous gross things run through me per-say. This is there country fried steak dinner, oh, sweet tea, with two rolls on the side. Looks good. I m not a huge tea drinker but since this part of Texas had a restriction on water( over half the county)BOIL it before using. That s why only tea served hence the water restriction. This was the only place I had eaten that day and alone at that, anyway the food was bland and not tasty. The food poisoning is what gets me. Not sure how many people got sick that day but if they did I hope their feeling better. I m slowly feeling better, thought I wasn t gonna make it there for a quick sec; but I pulled thru. Funny how life throws you unexpected curve balls. Lol anyway keep following let s pray I don t get sick again
