Terrible customer service. Multiple staff present and no one greeted me or acknowledged me and were generally cold. Services were not explained either. The girl just pointed and told me a price. Not sure the fast turnaround time is worth it having to deal with the staff. With how expensive it is, they should understand that customers are also paying for basic hospitality.

Happy with the efficiency and quality of the photos they developed for me. I live in the area and had been curious. Dropped off 120 color film to develop and it was digitally sent to me around 2 hours later. Photos were an experiment with a 1950s Brownie and the lab did a great job with them. Only downside I can see is that I also considered dropping off black & white 35 mm, which they process out of the shop and can take much longer. So I will stick to color for this shop.

First time developing my new camera s film, and I had an awesome experience here! The front desk person was super friendly and taught me how to properly rewind and remove the film. They also helped me choose the best developing options and gave me an accurate timeline for when the film would be ready. Everything was developed on time, and the quality is great. I have a half-frame camera, so I was pleasantly surprised by the results. 5 stars love this place!

I have had a really interesting experience with this lab in the last 2 months. I am a full time film wedding photographer and decided to make the change from a big name lab to this local one, and have sent in multiple orders, large ones too. The staff here doesnt say hello when I come in to drop off, its just business as usual asking the usual prompts about how I want my film scanned. I guess I thought it would feel more friendly/local.... I was really hoping for a more personable experience since I am now working with a local lab and giving them large orders. I dont need the red carpet thrown out, but maybe just remembering my name would be nice or asking how I like the scans.....or even a greeting at the door.

They developed my film so quickly that I thought they sent me the wrong order completed email by mistake. The film I got developed had been sitting in a camera for 18 years and still came out great. Parking is easy. Staff was nice. Definitely will be returning.

Ive had a few rolls developed here, they are great for a quick turn around, even within the hour. However the scans have been disappointing. After shooting a roll of Ultamax they came out very faded, lifted blacks and grainy. Very different to what Ultamax usually looks like. I flagged this with them and my next roll came out better (same film, camera, settings etc). However Ive seen the same issues arise in rolls since. I would rather take my film elsewhere to get developed, even if that means waiting a little longer to get my scans, especially because they are more expensive too. Come here if you are in a bind and need scans quickly.

This place is rude as heck. They threw away my film after I paid for them to keep it on hand. After two weeks they just throw your negatives away, no phone call, no email, just trash. This is my work and I ve been shooting film over 20 years. How disrespectful. Zero stars.

Edit: super responsive owner, offered to re-open the store for me, deliver the photos etc. Attentive management, turned my experience around exceptionally. Came to pickup photos on Thursday 3/21 at 5:58, posted closing hours were 6pm. Both employees were walking out, locking doors. Asked them: Can I pick up photos? They said: No.

If you want to pay $25 for them to send your b&w film out to develop and throw your negatives in the trash this is your place! I had a b&w roll developed here but they don t even develop it in store, they send it out and you have to wait 2 weeks for your scans. After they sent me my scans they never followed up about my negatives until I called and they said they accidentally threw them out!! Even though I asked them not to. So now those precious memories are GONE. They don t have any regard for your things here so I wouldn t trust them with your precious memories.

Impressed! My first time using Lago Vista over another local shop and I am extremely pleased. Mostly because, as other reviews have stated, the turnaround is crazy fast! Other places in town can take up to a WEEK for develop and scan, whereas Lago Vista delivered my scans within 1hour. Quality was superb. Overall very pleased with my experience and will be bringing more rolls through soon!

This place is great. It s a short walk from the UT campus, so as a student it s very convenient.This happened a few times where I would drop my film off and by the time I got to my bus, the file was already sent to me. It seems they focus on developing and scanning only and not printing and repairs and all of that so they have such a great turnaround time. Their standard scans are really good compared to Austin Camera and Imaging. Very reliable, quick and friendly. Although, I wish they did b&w in house, and it would be so cool if y all had a larger selection of film to buy. But , i would recommend to anyone:)

I m a UT student, so this location is great. Back in my hometown I could only get CVS 35mm developing, and I didn t realize how bad of quality & turnaround it was until I had my photos developed here for about the same price at CVS. Not only is the quality amazing, but I always get them back + scans within the hour! Would definitely recommend :)

Over the past few years I have frequented this business as it was a small business and the guy seemed friendly. I recently had a few rolls of film developed. I think my total was somewhere around $185 and I even told the guy to keep the $15 change. I come back later that day and see that they closed a few minutes early and I had a flight to catch the next day. I figured the prints would be in good hands. I guess I didn t see the fine print that they throw away your photos if they aren t picked up in 2 weeks. I think this policy is a little unfair and would have appreciated a phone call. It s sad that they threw away such great memories and didn t think it was worth the time to give me a phone call. When I spoke on the phone to the owner he not only didn t seem apologetic but it almost seemed like he enjoyed the little power trip and felt no guilt at all. Maybe others will have a different experience but there are other places that don t have this policy so be careful

Incredible, high quality service. Ive had just three rolls developed here, but scans were always delivered within 1hr. Plus, the color is just great. If youre local, it doesnt get any more convenient than this. The last time I dropped off film, there was a small line of people dropping off film. I fully expected the turnaround time to be slightly delayed, but no - all on schedule. Also, the website mentions something about prices being higher than average. Im not even sure about that. When comparing to large labs that you can ship your film to, the prices here are comparable. Highly recommend.

Been waiting 2 weeks now for one roll to develop. Cannot get in touch with them via phone/email/Instagram. Not fun. Edit: They finally email my daughter back, who dropped off the film for me. I guess B&W film takes a few weeks. They should still answer their phone during business hours. Edit edit... I see no reply to my DM. I can screenshot. The fastest film lab in Austin, with reliable quality of development and scans. They shoot for the one-hour photo experience, and so far Ive always gotten my scans via email on the same day I dropped off my film (with the exception of black and white, which takes a few days, but still faster than other places). Highly recommended if youre frustrated with slow response times from other labs.

We discovered a grove of negatives dating back to the early 1940s when we were going through the contents. of some old boxes from my parents that I had never seen. Richard was able to take the negatives and convert them into prints even though they were a non standard size. I ordered 2 rolls of photos from here: one color and one black and white. The color came out great with a quick turnaround time (I got them the same day). This was very refreshing since most film places take a couple of weeks. However, when it came to my black and white photos, they came back stained, with finger prints, and as if they had been crinkled. I emailed Mr. Johnson back asking him what could have accounted for this on my photos. He told me hed reach out to Eastside Silver Print because they are the ones who developed my photos. I waited a couple of weeks and never received another email. I emailed Mr. Johnson again and asked if there was any update on what resulted in the photos looking like this and he has not returned my email and it has been 2 weeks. So first I was extremely disappointed since my black and white photos were of my brothers wedding and very important to me. Now, I am so disheartened by the lack of explanation, contact, or way to make up the situation. Also, it was never indicated on their website or in-person that the black and white photos would not be developed by them so I wanted to explain that to any one planning to develop black and white. I have attached a few black and white photos and color photos for reference. If you are developing color photos, Lago Vista will do a great job and have a quick turnaround 100%! But I also feel like I cannot give my service to someone who doesnt seem to have any consideration for their customers. I am deeply saddened by my experience here.

Richard from Lago Vista is awesome! Prime location near UTs campus. I dropped off a few rolls of film and he was able to provide quick turn around. I received a link to my photos in under and hour the same day. He was attentive and responsive with my many questions and messages. Even refunded me for a roll of film I brought in that happened to be empty, and he honored the student discount, which was awesome. Will definitely be back again soon with more rolls of film! Very quick turnaround time when developing and scanning 2 rolls of 35mm color film- they werent kidding when they said same day development! Very friendly, very simple process for ordering a dev/scan. Also, students get a discount on their orders, so thats a plus for me. Would 110% get my film processed here again!

Great lab out here in Austin Texas ! (Primarily mail in lab so you can send in from anywhere!). I was so excited to use this lab after hearing about turnaround time that I went and picked up my film from Holland photo before they developed it (would ve taken a week for one roll!) and I drove it to Lago Vista with an extra roll and they got both done in just a few hours!

I have sent my last 3 disposable cameras to this lab and all I can say is wow. Everytime I send my camera, I get my pictures emailed to me the day it arrives at the lab (which is like 3-4 days from the date I sent it out). I have never recieved disposables so fast. AND the quality is insane. I get the standard quality and people question me all the time how I get my disposable pictures to come out so clear and perfect. I owe it all to this lab.
