This is a wonderful place. I think this place is not accessible for everyone. You have to make an appointment beforehand. But the boat ride (arranged by our organiser) and the place both are good.

After reading some of the reviews I wanted to help the owner out, they had stated that they werent able to reimburse one couple, how about I get you some credits from the federal government so they can change the review and you can keep your customers happy, give me a call tomorrow morning to discuss

It is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a lesser experienced slice of Texas. The staff was friendly and great at helping the best they can. It has everything needed for an excellent venue for birthdays, weddings, and fishing trips.

Went to check it out as a possible location for my daughters wedding......we signed up on the spot. If I have to give her away, it will be here. She is an outdoor girl and grew up on the water. She is also elegant and this place has both. Lets do this !!!! Sept 22 !!!!

We had to move our wedding date due to COVID. Lake Tyler Petroleum Club (LTPC) could not meet their contractual requirements because of the governor s executive order limiting guest numbers. Despite much back and forth and multiple requests they still charged us $1600 dollars to move the date. It was just shy of 3 months notice and the club had no way of assuring they would be able to host our event in the way we had originally agreed upon. They eventually said they could move our date to a Friday or Sunday for free, but not another Saturday despite us having already paid a premium for a Saturday. They refused to give us the contact info for the owners and still charged us $1600. Not one other vender required a rescheduling fee contrary to what their event manager claimed. One vender even went bankrupt yet still refunded all of our money. They understood that it was a pandemic and both parties were to be released from their contractual obligations. Our balance was paid in full a year in advance and held for a second year. We felt we had no choice. The planning meeting came and we asked again to reconsider the rescheduling fee. The event manager was quite rude about it and upset all of us. She stated they had to charge us because of fees from the vendors and money lost by losing the date. She slammed the door on her way out of the bridal suite and the office which made the rest of the planning session uncomfortable. On the Day of there were several issues that could have been avoided if the event was managed better by LTPC staff. For example: They confirmed the guest number of 160 in an email on September 30. They only set up 12 tables and came to me during the reception to ask me what to do. I was astonished that they couldn t count correctly. 160-20 (head table) = 140. 140/10=14 tables. There were a plethora of other blunders, but what made my mom reach out to the owner was not only what I ve mentioned, but the unprofessional behavior the event manager demonstrated. She accidentally forwarded emails to me that document a clear continuation of a conversation speaking negatively of me, the bride. As a family we decided the next best course of action would be to reach out to the owner directly to make sure she was aware of how things have been handled at her club. We were sure she wouldn t want it run this way, and we gave her a chance to make things right. She did not. She stopped responding. I felt obligated to share this so other families don t get ripped off and treated poorly like we were.

I do NOT recommend them due to their greediness, carelessness, lack of professionalism and lack of communication. My family and I tried to resolve this with their event manager first. She refused to give us the owner s info. When we finally got it from another source, we wanted to give the owner a chance to make things right but she did nothing.

I got married in October of this year at Lake Tyler Petroleum Club and I do NOT recommend them due to their greediness, carelessness, lack of professionalism and lack of communication. My family and I tried to resolve this with their event manager first. She refused to give us the owner s info. When we finally got it from another source, we wanted to give the owner a chance to make things right but she did nothing. We cared about our wedding a lot, especially after having to make the heartbreaking decision to reschedule from 2020. If you are planning a wedding I know you care too and so I feel obligated to to warn people to NOT book at Lake Tyler Petroleum Club. They were blatantly greedy throughout the entire process and the for the quality of service provided was poor. LTPC insisting they had to charge us because of the fees from vendors was dishonest. I asked every single vender what their fee had been to only be informed there hadn t been a fee. Charging us for changing the date in the first place due to a pandemic that quite literally shut down the world and our state is wrong. The lack of communication amongst their staff is glaring and their unprofessionalism in their emails appalling. (They accidentally forwarded me an email thread where they had clearly been talking badly about me!) DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

Venue is absolutely stunning. However, the lack of professionalism is equally stunning. We made specific arrangements based on time constraints and not only were they not met on time but they missed major aspects of what needed doing. Furthermore they were extremely rude to guests through the duration of our event. We highly recommend going elsewhere for your event needs.

Literally my dream wedding!! We did the all-inclusive wedding package for 100 people. I didnt have to do too much planning because all the food, cakes, DJ services, and flowers were included in the price along with linens, tables, chairs, event manager, day of coordinator, and clean up staff. Erin was our day of coordinator and she did SOO much to help me at the rehearsal dinner and day of. She helped keep everyone on time and ensured I didnt have to worry too much about where anyone/anything was. Whitney was our event manager and she did a great job of ensuring everything was set up appropriately and she helped make sure all my decorations got put out. The whole venue was literally so gorgeous. It was kind of cold and dreary on my wedding day, but the staff at LTPC helped make my whole experience WONDERFUL!!

Very nice venue for a wedding! Do not count on Google maps to get you all the way there though. If youre going South from 346 out of Whitehouse then go another .2 miles and around a corner and it is on the left. The directions are otherwise great.

Beautiful location and club houses, my wife and I had our wedding here and it was a great time. Staff at the Club were helpful but the wedding coordinator that was provided in our package was a complete idiot. The saving grace was the venue itself; chairs, tables and table clothes were provided and bartenders/ security were great.

The Lake Tyler Petroleum Club is the most underrated venue in east Texas. There is no other venue that is better kept, staffed, and provides all the amenities without breaking the bank. Not to mention, the views are amazing. Working with Sarah and Kayla will be the best decision you make throughout your wedding process.

The Petroleum Club at Lake Tyler is so beautiful and such a nice getaway. I highly suggest buying at least the summer membership to enjoy the pool and fishing off the docs. Not to even mention the cabins that are available to rent. My daughter and I love spending time out there. Cheryl & Kaylee Trott

We had a beautiful wedding at the Petroleum Club but were disappointed in the way business was conducted. The night of our wedding after leaving we were contacted multiple times via text message to settle up the final bill for the bar that night. We believe it was unacceptable and unprofessional to contact the bride and groom, the night of there wedding, to discuss this. This should be something taken care of before the wedding or at a later date OTHER THAN THE WEDDING NIGHT!
