Honestly it was decent food. Not the best in town but has a great location and is solid Tex mex. I d eat here again if my other choices weren t available. I give it a solid 7/10, much better than Mercados but not as good as Rubys or Abuelos.

My family and I go there often. The prices are very fair and the flavor of the food is great. They train their waiters and waitresses to be very friendly and accommodating. We go there because of three things: good price, good service, creamy jalapeño sauce. We heard this place was going to be sold to Olive Garden (no good service).

I m really disappointed with my experience at Chuys this morning. They handed a to-go bag with a huge rip in it to my door dasher and waited for over 10 minute and was still not given a new bag. To make things worse, the chips smelled strange and were super stale. This head to be my favorite spot, but after today, I don t think I ll be coming back- the staff just didn t seem to care.

Decent food with a great price point, but I thought it was pretty bland after it was talked up to be spicy. My boyfriend and I chose items that were said to incorporate New Mexico hatch chile. Being from NM we were hoping for some hit to the chile but even though his dish was delicious, my enchiladas were very bland. I got enchiladas with chicka chicka boom boom sauce and the sauce was okay; but the chicken was obviously only boiled with no seasoning. The drinks however were delicious, and our waitress Meagan was very friendly and attentive. The environment was very busy with a lot to look at, if you like that kind of thing. I felt like it was overwhelming. Overall decent experience, we will likely go back but I ll definitely order something else. Wheelchair accessibility: Very crowded environment, I would call ahead if you have accessibility concerns

Chuys is an Austin Legend. Great TexMex food turned chain restaurant. That said, its still solid to its roots. We got a few appetizers and drinks and all in all, The guac is good, but the queso is better. Chuys made a perfect stop when visiting Tyler. Definitely worth stopping by Chuys if you can.

June 17 2024 - Visit 2 Angela was great and took care of us well. The food was great and we are going back Visit 1 Starting from the atmosphere, its feels great with great music and interiors are great. The creamy Jalapeño dip was so good with the chips and I added the Fajita Chicken Burrito with Boom Boom Sauce. Love it. Great customer service. Madison was courteous and friendly. Thank you.

We stopped in with the suggestion of a friend. So glad we did. The food was great. The server was friendly and made suggestions when asked. The inside is fun with bright colors and upbeat music. Good food, good atmosphere, very busy. The wait wasnt horrible. I usually judge a mexican restaurant on their chips and salsa cause thats my favorite part. Well The chips and salsa werent bad at all. Actually the salsa was probably one of my favorites, just wish they would make it hotter or have an option to get a hotter version. Most places serve a very mild salsa. Probably to suit everyone. Well some of us like it HOT. I do have one small complaint about Chuys and other mexican places alike. Dont sit at the bar and expect to get good chips. I have found this to be true at most places. Maybe the chips arent moving as fast, so they tend to be a little stale. Trust me!!! 9 times out of 10 places ive been have had less than good chips and salsa that were served from behind the bar. They get old because they arent being used up as fast. If youre sittin at the bar, ask for fresh chips and salsa or you run the risk of being dissappointed!!!

We did not eat at Chuys today. We entered at 3:25 pm for an early dinner. When the hostess arrived, we were informed ALL servers were in a meeting and there was mo one to wait on us until the meeting was over. Really, no servers in the floor? Recently we went to Chuys to eat dinner and we are long time weekly customers that have gone every single week (sometimes multiple times a week) since it first opened in Tyler. During this particular time visiting we decided to eat outside and it was particularly windy so we decided to ask if the staff could lower the tarps to help block out the wind. The female manager said that she wasn t going to do it because it was too much trouble when we have seen other managers do it in less than 5 minutes. It was so windy that our silverware and menus were flying away and out of people s hands. There were people sitting wrapped in blankets and there was a man getting slapped in the face by the part of the tarp that hangs down near the columns. How lazy do you have to be to let your customers dine in this environment.

We arrived early for supper and were seated immediately. Booth and table (and floor) very clean. Food is unlike any other Mexican restaurant in town. Although different, the food was very good as was the service. They have a bar and different dining areas. Ours had an old car theme...hubcaps on the ceiling and many paintings of cars cover the walls... mainly 50s - 60s models.

The hostess was rude, and when she took us to be seated we seen there was some food on the table. The hostess tried to scrap the food on the floor, so we asked her if she could have someone to wipe the table clean. She picks the food up with her hand and looks at us like it s clean now. I ve been to many Chuy s locations. This is the least favorite in Texas. Worst of all in the one in Colorado Springs. Austin, downtown, is the GREATEST. Our waitress , Smalls was the best part of our dining experience. Keep her! The beef steak in my tacos al carbon had no flavor. Seriously, nothing. The salsa and green dip are delicious. Now this gonna hit different. Im out living my best life as I have surgery on Monday (pity party of 1). Im craving fatty, spicy, and comfort food. My server was Joey, a good-looking guy with braids. (Im old af) We chatted, and I got to know that hes putting himself thru college @TJC and supporting himself financially. He applied for scholarships and financial aid (getting the run around), but because hes only 22, he is on his parents financials. He may have to drop out because neither he nor his parents can afford the tuition. Thats F up x10. Yall help him out hes a great guy! Anyways I ordered the Stuffed Avocado, and it wasnt that good. Sauces were great with spice, but it was lacking in cheese and meat. I mean, that avacado aint gonna hold, but a pit it was built from. (I get the ideal. Monkey brains are my favorite Japanese appetizer @sushi gen). Its a solid no for me, not worth the price. I also ordered a queso and guacamole as its a staple comfort food for me. Now I was expecting to pay 8+ for each, but Joey brought me out these tiny cups of each. Saved me 10 bucks, and it was the perfect size for a party of 1. Food was mediocre. Service was top-notch.
