Ive shopped at Academy all my life and all over the state, and Ive never seen an Academy this bad. Every single time I come here the store is absolutely picked through, clothes in the clothing section unfolded, clothes in the clothing section thrown all about, dirty floors, other items just out of place where they should be put. Also, whoever does the merchandise ordering for this store has no idea what theyre doing, obviously. This store will routinely be out of stock of items for weeks, if not longer. This store is such a disaster Ill be shopping locally at some of the locally owned outdoors stores or online at Bass Pro.

Shopping for 12 guage shotgun shells and saw a pallet of cases of Winchester SuperX shells. The sign on top said $36.80. I put two cases in my cart and went to check out. When the cashier rang them up, they showed $104.##. I told her what the sign said and her first answer was, Well, this is how thay rang up. I repeated what the sign said and in a voice I can best describe as exasperated, she said let me call someone. After a few calls, a man showed up and I told him what the sign said. His attitude was no better than the cashier as he walked off and said, Well, I guess Ill have to go and check. I felt more life a major inconvenience and not a customer wanting to spend some money. He called back in a few minutes to say the higher price was the correct one. When I asked about the sign, the response was it was for a different brand. Not once was there any kind of Sorry for the inconvenience or Were sorry for the mistake. It was clear the main thing I had done was to greatly inconvenience two employees who clearly failed to understand where the money in their paycheck comes from. It certainly wont come from me anymore.

This store was trashed out. It looked worse than a free garage sale. You want me to pay 60.00 for clothes that are laying on the floor. I have never seen ANY store is this condition. Also non of the scanners were even mounted to the wall. There is no way I could shop in that store in the condition it was in. I left without purchasing anything and took my business elsewhere.

Every time I go in the place it s an utter disaster!! Nothing is folded or in place, the displays are wrecked!! Either the district manager needs to make a change or the gm needs to start holding people accountable for their zones. Shirt tables are in complete disarray and nothing is where it should be. I know the struggles of being a retail employee as I had been one for the better part of a decade, and there is something to be said for a store that is well organized and clean. A welcoming, organized environment makes for a successful store with good numbers and less theft.

Its a big store with lots of clothing; most of it on the floor, mixed on racks and tossed on display tables so hard to find sizes - I found myself wanting to pick up and organize stuff- two employees spent a significant amount of time chatting with each other not offering to help the many customers. I heard that they needed help as most employees end up at the cashier (a true statement as there were at least 15 people in line when I left).

Tyler Tx has the worst store and customer service of all. Tried to return defective unused ammo and was told NO Returns. Its defective out of the box Winchester 22LR that I was informed to leave the store and throw away unless I wanted to try another box at my extra expense. Went on a busy, first pretty Saturday...I understood it might be a bit crazy. Went there looking for Brooks...selection of available shoes was very picked over. My husband found him a pair of Merrils...started towards the front, didnt make it the check out line was backed up to fishing gear...and it was looped around. There were only 3 checkers... Not specific to the Tyler location (that was where we ordered the item), but I had an AWESOME customer service experience resolving an incomplete order our local postal service screwed up. Call center was in Georgia and Kytana (Spelling?) was a model for customer service experience. Hopefully someone in corporate monitors this and tracks her down and rewards her somehow.

Found the exact pool I was looking for even though it said they were out of stock online. The guy got it loaded up quick and easy. Check out was simple and fast as well. On a different occasion, they didnt have the basketball goal out on the floor so one of the guys looked it up and went to pull it off the truck for me then loaded it up!
