Wonderful restaurant with a large selection. The pad king, beef pho and spring rolls were fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced. The servers were excellent and friendly.

Now before I leave this negative review, I will let it be known that we really did enjoy our initial visit was exceptional. Now that would warrant a five star rating. Now as of yesterday our experience was quite poor. We ordered two sticky rice with mango through DoorDash. The order came in and we only received one. I called DoorDash first and they stated that they can do nothing as they are not allowed to look at the contents of the bag. Makes sense. Called the restaurant and the lady I spoke with was very pleasant and offered either a refund or replace the order. I told her I would call back after speaking with the wife to see what we wanted to do. I called back roughly an hour later while in town while picking up our child. We decided that we wanted the refund because we went through DoorDash for the convenience of not going to that side of town. Calling back I got the same lady and asked for the refund. She said she would have to put the owner on. While speaking with the owner he started out with an attitude stating he already made the second order and it was already waiting for us. I explained to him that I never stated that I wanted the second order upon our initial call. He wanted to go back and forth. This was when I started to get mad at him. He wanted me to call DoorDash for the refund, I explained to him it wasnt DoorDashs fault for them not placing the order in correctly. He got more frustrated with me and asked me which did I want? I again told him that I wanted the refund. I paused and awaited his response. When he had none he got frustrated and told me he was just going to hang up. The one star rating is solely based on this store owners lack of composure and unwillingness to resolve the issue.

We had the pleasure of dining at Zazas while we were in Tyler for the weekend from the DFW area. The food (ZaZa Money Bags, Fried Chicken Dumplings, Larb Thai Salad with Ground beef, Lemon Grass Herbal Chicken, and Drunken Noodle with Shrimp) and service was AMAZING! Brandon, our server, did an amazing job answering our questions about the menu. They dont have their beer/wine license just yet, but will allow you to BYOB. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

This place was excellent. The decor and lighting were very comfortable and inviting, but also upscale with nice music playing in the background. The appetizers were outstanding.. The Zaza money bag fried appetizer was very tasty and generous in portion size. The spring rolls were filled with large shrimp and offered very tasty peanut sauce. The fried vegetarian spring rolls were also delicious. The cashew chicken was my favorite. Very flavorful and generous portion of chicken And cashews. The vegetables in the stirfry were very fresh. My wife enjoyed the tofu. The mango and sticky rice also very good and fresh in addition to the fried ice cream chocolate version with bananas. Other reviewers have criticized this restaurant because it did not taste like authentic Thai. However, I do believe that they try to cater to a more generic taste. Very reasonably priced as well. My wife and I found it very delicious and will definitely come back again. Vegetarian options: Tofu available

Tyler Zaza Thai is the perfect example of an upscale/casual restaurant. I understand the launch was on Sept. 2, 2024 and our meal was Sept 18 of 2024, not really enough time to establish an oh so important rhythm between servers and the kitchen. None the less, the staff and our waiter were not allowing any fly ball to hit the ground, a solid 5! When we first grace the doors of a new restaurant, we have an endless supply of questions in an attempt to identify the popular entrees and waiter recommendations. To that end, we were very impressed by Brandon s clear and informative answers to all of our questions. Brandon kept the food and service flowing. Now to the food. What a menu!! My husband and I quickly ordered four appetizers to get the lay of the land and have adequate time to review the 115 items on the menu. All were yummy! I finally settled on item #88 while Tom selected #43, which was recommended by our waiter Brandon, an excellent recommendation. He loved it, as I did my entree, plus I had plenty left-over for lunch the next day! Win-win! We didnt even wait 10 minutes for any of our orders. Now, thats a solid 5 in my book! Also important, the dining room is comfortable & relaxing, the background piano music beautiful & soothing; it was not hard at all for us to just set back and enjoy the whole wonderful experience. Y all will find this place is a 5 on all counts! If you like Thai food, you have to try Zaza Thai in Tyler. If you are not a fan of Thai, then go anyway - you will be after one visit! Vegetarian options: All the veggies were perfectly sautéed & the gravy/broth delicious!

I was so excited to try a new Thai place but was very let down by 3 out of 4 items ordered. All the food looked presentable but didn t meet our expectations. The chicken satay wasn t grilled it was baked on a stick and the only seasoning on it was curry. The peanut sauce smelled like straight peanut butter, not a Thai peanut sauce. The beef salad didn t have any lemongrass, the fish sauce was overpowering and the beef was overcooked. The menu said allow 15 minutes to cook but the beef was cold. One of the entrees was drunken noodles with crab. It smelled rancid and also had way too much fish sauce. The spice level ordered was 3 and it wasn t spicy at all but it was VERY salty. The other entree was pad krakow with chicken. Spice level two wasn t spicy at all and luckily wasn t salty either. It was the only good thing we tried. Our server was good. Fairly attentive but didn t notice or was afraid to ask why we weren t taking the salad with us. The atmosphere was much fancier than I anticipated. The sign outside makes it look like it would be a counter service place, not a sit down restaurant. I won t go back.

My wife and I ate here for the first time and found it to be pretty good. She got the sesame chicken and fried rice and I got the pad Thai with bbq pork as well as the zaza money bags appetizer. The appetizer was cool to look at but a bit bland, 6/10. Wife said the sesame chicken was good but not as good as noodles and dumplings so around a 7/10. The pad Thai was really good, 9/10 and would have been 10/10 but the noodles were a bit overcooked, an easy fix. Overall a pretty good place with a convenient location.

The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a very calm atmosphere. It would be a nice place to take a date or a have a business lunch. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive with over one hundred items. A person could eat here every day and never have the same thing twice. Even if you order the same item, you could have it with chicken one visit and with shrimp on your next visit. You can also vary the spice level to your liking, from no heat to very spicy. There is bound to be something for just about everyone. I was very happy with my Zaza Rava. This is my new favorite restaurant in Tyler. If you enjoy Thai food I would definitely recommend this place. I am looking forward to my next visit.

We just tried this for the first time, so glad we did! We got takeout and it was incredibly good. I havent had Massaman Curry this good in probably 25 years. Unfortunately they charge a $2 upcharge for Brown rice over Jasmine, but the food is delicious, the portions sizes are good and the service is very friendly. Vegetarian options: Almost any dish can be ordered with vegetables or Tofu instead of meat.

As others have said, just bland pricey food. Service can be slow, seems the servers are overloaded at times. I had the beef pho, not good. I will say, the mango sticky rice was okayish and the heavenly pork was good. Definitely overhyped unfortunately.

I have seen a lot of raves about Zaza Thai, so my husband and I thought we would try it. Being Thai, this place was very disappointing. However, I will say that the chicken satay and spring rolls were okay. We also had the beef pad Thai, chicken Tom Yum noodle soup and chicken green curry. Everything had ZERO flavor. The pad Thai was the worst pad Thai I ve ever had, it had this weird taste that wasn t pad thai at all. The Tom Yum was okay but I ve had better. The green curry was so soupy and didn t have that strong thai flavor. Also, the service was awful, all the empty tables weren t cleaned off. We will go to Chiangmai from now on.

For it being the first week of operating, this restaurant is very well run! The service is top notch, though I will note that I had a slight bout of confusion when I first walked in because I thought they were a restaurant where a host/hostess walks you to your seat. However, once I got that figured out, service was super fast! I had my drink, appetizer, and entree within fifteen minutes of sitting down. The menu is well laid out and clearly marked, and the staff was very helpful with explaining the spice levels. Those being zero to five, with zero being no spice, and five being Thai hot. I had the pho chicken at level 4 spice, and it was fantastic! The broth was very clear and fragrant, and the thin slices of chicken were very tender and easy to chew. My two, admittedly small, gripes that I have about the food are that the spicy sauce for my pho was served on the side (rather than in it like I thought it would be), and that the basil and cilantro were not already de-stemmed/slightly chopped up. However, those herbs were very fresh and pleasant to eat in the soup after I plucked and let them soak in it for a moment. Parents do be aware however, they do not appear to have high-chairs for small children/infants quite yet. Though Im sure that is something that will be amended shortly in due time. Additionally, the two-seat table directly by the side door is very awkward to sit in, especially if you are the one sitting with your back to the wall, due to the arms of the chairs. Overall I would call this a great dining experience for having only been open for three days now, as of writing this. Im looking forward to eating here again, hopefully with some friends next time!

Having recently moved back from Houston, where Thai options were abundant, I was excited to try a new local Thai spot in Tyler. It did not disappoint! A large menu offers two pages of favorite and unique appetizers, soup, curry, rice, noodle, stir fry, seafood, and dessert options! With descriptions and pictures, you don t have to guess what you re ordering!! (A wonderful perk in their favor) The environment is delightfully elegant, making it date night worthy while the reasonable prices keep it accessible for most budgets that allow for eating out. The food itself was delicious. Prepared fresh and delivered to the table steaming hot. My crispy veggie rolls were perfectly golden and crisp, with an attractive presentation. I tried the drunken noodles and loved the flavors of sweet, savory, and spicey. They ask what level you want for your spice, 0-5. Take it seriously. At a 2, my brow was sweating and my nose started running. If you love spicey food venture higher. If you don t, ask for 0. This is not bad. It s Thai food and should be expected. I just don t want you caught unaware When my meal was done, I had enough to take home for another meal, making the overall cost very acceptable in a world where even lunch runs $15+. Overall, I highly recommend. Great service, delicious, authentic food, a classy environment that welcomes everyone whether it s lunch for work or a dinner to impress, Zara is Definitely a must try this place out! I ll be back for seconds and thirds Kid-friendliness: While I have no doubt children would be welcome, it s not a place for them to run free and play. Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible!
