$27 for lunch for two people two very very small chicken salad croissant sandwiches and a cup of soup that was barely edible. Very very disappointed. Left hungry Will not be back Called and told the manager but nothing was done other than Im sorry and weve told the owner he needs to go back to the larger croissants.

Someone had a dog in the dining room. I find this to be in very poor taste. If someone has a service dog they should be asked to sit on the patio. I m not convinced the dog was a service dog. I quit going in my local Walmart because people take their pets in there. We, consumers deserve a better dinning and shopping experience. We pay too much for our food to be grossed out.

The food here is excellent. I absolutely love the tomato soup. Service was very kind, and who doesnt love a charming little cafe vibe? I especially love the French lessons playing in the restrooms. Parking: Every time I go here theres plenty of parking spaces even if there is a crowd! Kid-friendliness: Literally perf for kids. Theres a sort of lunch line service thats always fun to slide your tray down. Enough space for kids to safely walk through with somewhat open concept so you can keep an eye on them! Wheelchair accessibility: While Ive never seen someone use this space in a wheelchair, from what I can tell it shouldnt be a problem! The space is open enough for it, and all the tables have moveable chairs. Theres also a handicap stall in the restroom.

Really enjoyed my visit here! My friend and I had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. Not to mention how beautiful the food is plated. The French pastries all looked amazing in the front case. I tried the lemon blueberry Danish and it was so good! The bread was perfectly flaky and crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. Their crepes were delicious, as well. Ive also ordered for delivery once before and had their pesto pasta with chicken and it was absolutely to die for!! I also love that they sell their jams and some of their spices and such.

This is a great place to get some good French food... the atmosphere is fun, French music going on the background... amazing deserts. I love anything French and this is the best for East Texas. .. now 4 yrs after my first review, I m back. This place totally rocks. Every time I go in, it s amazing, always. Always good food n always good service. If you found this review to be helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks Parking: For those who love everything Paris, this is a great option. This place is tucked away, but a treasure find! What an amazing meal we had! And we really enjoyed the excellent service, great atmosphere, and they have the BEST coffee that weve had in a while.. We dont usually order coffee when we go out b/c were so picky but theirs was amazing! The French Roast is a medium-strong coffee that is smooth and rich. The American Roast is mild-medium coffee that is also smooth and comforting! Love the potato gallette flavor and their croissants are like pillows of deliciousness! We liked everything we ordered and ate some of the free bread and jam that they give you.. oh my gosh, they have the best blackberry jam ever! (or is it called jelly since it didnt have seeds?) Parking: Its tucked away location but has very easy access parking! very convenient. Kid-friendliness: our kiddo has been going with us to La Madelines since age 5 and now that he is 12 and drinking coffee he loves it all the more! Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible as far as I could tell

The food I ate at Tyler location gave me poisoning I ordered tomato soup, and two salads. The restaurant is dirty- from tables to restrooms. When I went to speak with a manager next day explaining what a health nightmare I had after consuming that soup he didn t even apologize- instead he was very angry, unprofessional and rude!! He raised his voice and shouted at me -: leave my institution !! I was going to show him a proof of purchase , but his behavior was unacceptable ! I have never had this awful experience with any management ever! He insisted thatI i left his institution I do NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your HEALTH!!! I hope that the owner of this franchise will draw their conclusions.

I knew when this place opened that it was not like the other la Madeline that I adore. The fruit tarts were my first clue. How can you put less fruit on the tarts than every other la Madeline. After reading all the HORRID reviews. I see my first instinct was correct. So before you leave some generic comment about how much you car Ect. Why don t you go visit your establishment. Fire all the staff including the cooks. The kids on their phones Ect. Clean the damn place up and start over and advertise new management. Omg. La Madeleine has a reputation for wonderful food and atmosphere. FIX IT. IF YOU NEED HELP CONTACT ME!!!!!

I came in to have a late lunch. The girl at the counter took almost two minutes to acknowledge that I was even standing there. When she waited on me she told me that the Chicken Friond which is supposed to be a staple in La Madaline s ready to serve menu would take 30 minutes to get. If this is a reflection of the service La Madaline s is now offering no wonder so many of them are closing. So sad as I love La Madalines and have dined at many of them over the years. The serves has not been this indifferent in my experience with this restaurant.

There are five slices of meat on my ten dollar sandwich. This is the French Dip, and I ordered it without the onions and cheese (thats on me). I expect a bit of an upcharge on these sandwiches because that tends to be the standard for French Dips, but this is ridiculous. ESPECIALLY for the quality. Its so incredibly salty and processed tasting that I will not be finishing it despite the price tag. After realizing this was a chain and the pastries probably arent even made in store, I am even less impressed with the one thing I was willing to give them credit for: an alright cookie.

I usually order online to go. This was my first time eating inside and the floors weren t that clean and the tables were sticky with crumbs in chairs and on the tables .I ordered the chicken La madeleine because the picture on the menu looked really good. When I finally got my food it did not look like the picture and it was barely warm. The chicken was pale and not fresh. The rice wasn t very good either. The broccoli seemed as though it was frozen. I couldn t finish any of it. A couple hours later I felt sick after eating the food. I knew it was from the food because I lost my appetite after leaving and didn t eat anything else. I usually get the chicken friand which is usually good, but I wanted to try something different

We walked in waited to be seated. No signs of any kind explaining how to be served. Across the room there is a bar where you order apparently. We got tired of waiting and walked to the bar where there were 3 young girls talking to each other and ignoring us completely. After getting tired of being ignored, I yelled out hello! and waved. They stopped talking and I asked if we were supposed to order from them or be seated first. They said to order with them and handed us menus. Mine was covered in some brown sticky substance. There were about 6 options for breakfast. None of them sounded particularly appetizing and all 3 girls had disappeared, so there was no one to order from anyway. So we just left. Disappointing. I was excited to try out a nice French Bistro in tyler.

I will preface this with La Madeline is one of my favorite places...usually. The one in Tyler was the first time I have ever been disappointed. First, the restaurant was basically empty so what happened was a surprise.I ordered a quiche and a large cappuccino for in room dining. Paid and gave a tip (that I wish I could take back now), got my quiche and my little sign for them to bring me the cappuccino and went to my table. After 10 minutes, still no cappuccino. So I stood up and asked. They acted like they had no idea of my order but I had heard the girl at the cash register call it out. Someone finally brought it to me, dropped it on the table saying ,Here you go and kept walking. No, I am sorry for the delay, nothing. It was in a to go cup and was absolutely the worst watered down no flavor cappuccino I have ever had. Definitely not what I normally get at other La Madeline restaurants. I wont return.

I went to the counter after a few minutes and asked if I was supposed to get the potatoes with my meal. The waitress said they are still in the oven. Then she turned her back and ignored me. Our food was brought out and there were no potatoes(that we had ordered). After asking several times they gave no offer to correct the situation, but just stated that the potatoes were still in the oven. An offer of replacement or refund should have been given, but they acted annoyed that we were asking for something that we had ordered and PAYED for.

Would have given five stars, if what appeared to be the manager on staff was as attentive to ALL of his customers, as his front of the house staff were. This location definitely has someone in the back that knows how to make eggs. The manager I mentioned came into our dining room three to four times and cleared three other tables of extra plates. He also gave customers at those tables coupons and asked them to come back. Did not even approach our table once to ask how our experience had been. I m not sure what that was about as my husband and I were dining quietly by the fire.

Half sandwiches only $1 difference to a full sandwich. Why? Should be a couple of dollars cheaper. Not a good value or worth going there anymore. $30 for two lunches. I can get better elsewhere.

As a Francophile, I realize that i cant go to Paris as often as I would like, but this is as close as we are going to get here in East Texas. The food is way above average, the prices a bit high, but when you miss France, and anyone who has been there will miss it when you leave , this is not a bad reminder.

I hadn t been here in months and decided to give it another shot while being back in town. The quality of the food was good and the warm fire was a nice treat. However, the attitude of the young guy working the front counter was very poor. His voice sounded sarcastically cheerful and most importantly, his body language was uncomfortably aggressive. He slammed each of our food dishes down on the glass counter. After paying and tipping him, I returned to the counter and very politely asked him if there were water cups I could have. Without a word, he stood up from packaging the sweets he was working on, and again, felt it necessary to slam the requested item in front of me. He promptly sat back down and returned to what he was doing without looking up. I in no way warranted the poor behavior and customer service that I received. Especially around the holidays, I try my best to use polite language and tones because I know how difficult customer service jobs can be around this time - people can be so rude and it s easy to feel overworked. I felt my existence was a huge inconvenience to this young man and felt very unwelcome. I understand that he was the only employee in the front and that can be a stressful feeling, however, we were there pretty early and the only customers present at the time. Body language is everything, and what I saw this morning was not acceptable. I definitely got the sense that guy hates people and dislikes his job. As a woman as well, seeing a man repeatedly slam things around violently right in front of me makes me feel very uncomfortable. I m disappointed because I wanted to give La Madeleine another chance, but I will never be back.

I have always love La Madeleine. I am from out of town and was thrilled to have found one in Tyler. Unfortunately, this lovely jewel is ruined by extremely poor service and a filthy atmosphere. Staff spoke with , Huh? and stood using cell phone while I waited. I had to ask for the receipt. Instead of substituting the salt baguette for the croissant that comes with the omelette, I was charged separately for the baguette. Most of the tables were dirty and/or with dishes. Tables had not been cleaned. Area with beverages was also dirty- visibly so. I have never been in an establishment so totally lacking in cleanliness, while staff stood around on cell phones. Owner should pay a visit regularly to inspect. My visit was at 2:30 pm- definitely not rush time. Plenty of time to attend to tasks. Staff needs training I got on basic courtesy and customer service, particularly the young, dark-haired woman with long, unkempt hair and preoccupied with her phone. So sorry to leave a bad review. First time ever for an eating establishment.

Sunday, December 18, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m. I walked into the la Madeleine located on Loop 323, Tyler, Texas. I was the only person in either line. I ordered a quiche from a young man. I later learned his name was Duncan. He asked if there was anything else and I told him I wanted a salad. He then told me he had other things to tend to, then turned and walked away. I have no idea why he wanted to make me feel so unimportant. Another employee named Andrea heard the whole thing and looked puzzled as to what had just taken place. She then came over and completed my order in a very professional manner.

Customer service was mediocre, almost everyone on the staff had a negative attitude when serving us. The potato soup was lumpy and watery. I love this restaurant but this location, specifically, left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Paid $70 for two orders of crepes, a small quiche, 3 teas and a meal with soup. Portions are small for the price. Workers seemed unhappy/didnt want to be there. Was going to buy a tomato sauce jar but I looked at the label: contains bioengineered food ingredient. Ham in the quiche was grey and unappetizing. Soup was good. The place was clean. Not a great atmosphere. Will not go back.

My wife and I dropped in for a pre-lunch coffee and pastry. The staff were friendly and attentive. The French roast coffe was tasty and hot. The pastrys were delightfull. The flavors and textures rivaled the parties we consumed while visiting Paris, Fr. Parking: Having visited la Madeleine at times that vary from 8AM to 7PM, we have never experience any difficulty finding parking.

Probably the worst meal Ive had in years. Praying to all the gods that we dont end up with food poisoning. First time here. Saturday noon. Both ladies behind the counter could not have cared any less. We had no idea how to order. Theres a little pre-cooked food area & the girl there advised the espresso machine is broken but they can make iced so we ordered an iced latte. Moved on to the next girl to order from the kitchen. We asked if the latte was coming and she says no. What?! What did she think we were ordering when we said cool, may I have an iced latte -no syrups or flavoring . Ok never mind, we ordered regular drip coffee instead. Its serve yourself on the drinks. The coffee was lukewarm at best and tasted off, probably sitting out since breakfast. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our food but we could see it sitting on the line for about about 5 minutes. Once the lady was done drinking her water and helping other guests, she brought our food over and literally just dropped it on the table and left. The strawberry Nutella crepe has a cream filling which was unexpected and off-putting but totally our bad as we missed that was mentioned in the description in the menu. Omelette was nothing special, very salty. The restaurant was also very filthy. There were numerous dirty tables and the floor was a crumbly sticky disaster. Needless to say, we wont be back. Eat at your own risk.

People were very friendly and accommodating. The Cook on breakfast has no clue. My French American breakfast yesterday was a joke. Id have taken pictures but I was trying not to gag on the watery whites running on my plate from my Over Medium eggs. Potato Galette was super super salty. It was way off yesterday. But.. if you dont mind these details, this is your place!

Went in to buy retail tomato basil soup, coke a cola and iced latte left with soup and a coke. Was told I would have to wait for the dinning room line to end before I could get an iced latte to go. Most of the line that was for dining in formed after I was already waiting for service. Found Amanda to be rather rude.

Rude staff, one with an air pod in her ear, cold soup, dirty tables, filthy floor.. found a receipt on floor from 11:37am... I write this at 5:58pm.. thats how long its been since they swept the floor. This place needs management..

Been a while, not impressed. Arrived at 7pm on a Thursday. I ordered the cafe sampler and purchased the last half quiche available. It should not have been served. It was dried out and shriveled. My cup of soup was not ready until I had finished my salad (that part of my meal was fresh and delicious). Ultimately the restaurant was not prepared to serve guests last night. A positive, the space was clean and tidy. I really hope it was just an off night.

Food was just OK. This place is more like going to the chow hall, the cafeteria line, unless your in Framce at the move and pick at the train station, this does not lend to the French experience. Ive had better crepes. Glasses were dirty, silverware was dirty. Pastry was good. Need to up your game, just cruising along in neutral.

Let me begin by saying, I never write reviews. This place flat out sucks! Not because of the food or the cleanliness, but because of the management/employees. I will not say all are bad, but those who are ruin it. La Madeline has stolen from me several times, either because they simply did not bring something to me and after several request for it still did not, or because they did not get my order at the register correct. I was coming every weekend, but I will never come again. I recommend you do not come here, unless management is changed.

What makes no sense why she had an attitude if both we re just standing there on their phones and didn t acknowledge me when I walked in. Idk what s wrong with the morning staff but the evening staff has always been nice to me and courteous.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! We came on Saturday at 11 ish ordered coffee and danishes that were already prepared. The lady we placed an order with told us she would bring our food to us. 15 min later she ought our coffee but not the danishes. After waiting 15 longer I went to check on our danishes and she tells me we brought it to you. I told her no there are no danishes on our table, she said well my manager took them out. (Sure argue with me whether or not we got our danishes) She rolled her eyes and went to check with her manager. Turns out they took them to another table not ours. Didn t apologize put together our pastries and gave them to. Really POOR customer service especially since YOU made the mistake. Pastries were good, service terrible. Manager never came out to apologize. 4/16/22
