I had Scott as my server and he was incredible. If you go ask for Scott as your server. He was very attentive and friendly. I made a new friend out of him. I got the brisket tacos. The brisket was so juicy. I also had the triple dipper. It was recommended I put some queso and spinach dip on the tacos and wow great recommendations from Angie. If your looking for great food and out of this world service, Fds is the place for you. Just remember to ask for Scott.

We have eaten at FDs several times recently, and its a definite favorite. The atmosphere is perfect for conversations, cocktails, lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, chef prepared, unique, and not too expensive to enjoy often. Every hostess, waitstaff and bartender we have met has been helpful, friendly, and attentive without being annoying. We havent had any food or drink that wasnt delicious and exactly what we ordered. We love the Triple Dip appetizer with warm spinach dip, queso and salsa. For meals Weve enjoyed the Salmon, the Hawaiian Chicken, Lemon Pepper Chicken in white wine sauce, Chicken Strips, Crawfish Etoufee, and the Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. They have a Sampler plate with 3 entrees that allows you to try many of their best dishes with two sides. The entrees and sampler average about $14.95 (October 2024). For cocktails, they have a signature Martini, an Old Fashion with smoky orange, and a margarita on the rocks called a Mambo among other choices. I have been very much a Sunday regular here for quite some time. Yesterday will be my last. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This is, without a doubt, the worst restaurant I have ever set foot in, and quite possibly the worst in the entire world. Let s start with the food: cold, tasteless, and utterly disgusting. It was like they didn t even bother to try. I ordered the crispy fish tacos, and what I got was some pathetic excuse for a meal that felt like it came straight out of a freezer. Absolutely inedible. And it turns out it s not even multiple tacos! It s a freaking burrito! But that s not the worst part. The service? A complete joke. The server acted like they were doing us a favor just by showing up at the table. She was slow and downright incompetent. Getting a drink or even catching their attention was like pulling teeth. And now, the manager. I have never encountered someone so unprofessional and downright awful in a customer service role. He was dismissive, and made it clear they had zero interest in addressing any of the problems. In fact, they seemed annoyed that we dared to complain at all, as if expecting decent food and service was somehow unreasonable. We ended up waiting almost an hour for a salad. The rest of our party of 5 had eaten everything before my fiancé had even gotten her salad. Burgers were sub par at best. Not even cooked to correct temperature. We were offered a free dessert and didn t even get it. As someone who has worked in the service industry as a manager, I would have taken that salad off the ticket in a heartbeat. That of course did not happen. Do yourself a favor stay far, far away from this nightmare of a restaurant. Cold food, horrendous service, and a manager who should never be in charge of anything. It s honestly shocking that this place is still in business. Worst. Experience. Ever.

You cant call in an order.You must go to the website. I received a text that my food was ready so I go there and I call the number at curbside to let them know what number Im in but no one answers. I have a 2 yr. Old with me and hes asleep so I really dont want to deal with getting him up and carrying his in there. Hes really heavy. I run to the check in and no one is there. I dont even see a waitress. I run back to the car and call again but its terminal ringing. I reluctantly run back in and I see 1 employee and its a bartender. Im still holding my phone in my hand and its still just ringing...I tell her the situation and I guess I sounded a little angry because she just said ok she would check but she just piddled around so I run back to my car. I am now late at picking up my son from school.I run back in and the bartender is still doing nothing so I just bypass her and head to the kitchen. She smirks at me and heads to the kitchen too. As Im telling someone the situation she looks at a counter and joyfully tells me it isnt ready. I tell her it is because I got a text 20 minutes ago that it was so she wants proof but I just repeat my issue because Im not showing proof of anything.Im not a liar. She then starts talking about me to her coworkers. A nice young man informs me that they never received the order....what? Its their website, order confirmed, order is ready text????? A nice lady tells me the manager is making it now and they have glitches. I got 3 of the firecracker shrimp and it was subpar.

Party of 8 at 3:30 on a Saturday, asked us if we wanted to wait till 4, after shift change. We said we prefer to be seated and not wait. Made us wait anyway with a half empty restraunt. Seated at a table at 4:10 that had been empty the entire time we were waiting. I could see it from where I was standing and waiting. Our waitress was lovely, the hostess and the manager useless.

One of my favorite places to dine in Tyler Texas . If I go with a group we sit were they put us and always call ahead . To be honest either way the food quality , service and cook staff always go a step ahead . Love , love this restaurant. On this trip I specifically picked an appointment with Heaton Eye Associates just so I could eat here . Started with a Kambo Margarita as it seems to go with my Triple Dip appetizer. As usual I arrive hungry and ate the triple dip while enjoying conversation with other patrons and enjoying my late lunch . . I then chose a wonderful salad instead of one of my veggies . Salad was awesome and the sweetened pecans just made it to die for . I asked my Bartender Rachel what she would refer me to eat in the fish department. I was thinking Cedar Planked Salmon but she suggested I try the fresh gulf snapper . So I chose the Gulf Snapper and green beans with carrots . I asked Rachel what drink she would recommend as I like to try different things . She recommended the Tango Margarita with the spicy rim. It was delicious. The Snapper arrived and much to my surprise the cous cous it was served on was cold . As it turned out it added to the dish . The fish was fresh and to die for . Green beans with carrots were also awesome. I have been eating here for almost ten years . I highly recommend this establishment for anyone. To be honest I have always wondered how an establishment that serves consistently excellent, quality food is so reasonable. If you have not eaten here you are doing yourself a disservice . If you have I m preaching to the choir . I want to give a special shout out to my bartender and server Rachel Rinser . Awesome at her job and it shows . This time I decided to speak to the manager as I wanted to give everyone in the restaurant Kudos for a job well done . Kaleid Lorenzo was new to me but has worked his way up the restaurant ranks . I told him how good the food was , the consistency of the restaurant and the quality. Not to mention the value . Thank you to the staff at FD S for yet another quality meal .

Just visited FD Grillhouse on 8/25/24. First let me say I had a party of 16 which caused a 30-35 wait.. After seating we were greeted w/ a awesome server.. The appetizers(triple dipper) were not as warm as expected and the chips were so so..Everybody who order shrimp became sick the others who order steak were sick only the two people who order chicken had no complications but the chicken was VERY DRY!!!

I ll start by saying that my family has been coming to FD s for at least the last 6 years. For the most part, most of their food is always on point. My personal favorite is the spinach dip pasta and the chicken and walnut salad - truly to die for. We have, however, noticed a common trend with their tortilla chips. We often order the Triple dip appetizer (which the actual dips are also super delicious). The dips are served with tortilla chips which oftentimes are stale. It has happened numerous times throughout our visits in the last few years. The chips are truly our only complaint from this spot but it feels like a common theme at this point. In the past we would request the chip basket be switched out but they were typically replaced with a new basket that tasted similar. We had taken a break from ordering this appetizer (for the same reason) but visited today and decided to give it a shot, only to have the same fate we ve had in the past. Other than that, this place has other delicious dishes and great service.

The butterfly shrimp were excellent, and they were very generous on how many there were. The baked potato was excellent as well!! I didnt have room for the coleslaw. My husband batted cleanup. I didnt get our waitress name, but she was excellent as well. She recommended the salmon for another time and the firecracker shrimp appetizer, which I had the last time I was there, and enjoyed it very much!

Hi there. Last monday my family wanted to have a nice dinner at FDs. We were having a great time until my niece found a metal wire in her hamburger. We told our server and the manager about this incident because it couldve been pretty harmful if she had cut herself from this. We were super disappointed they didnt do anything about this except blame the manufacturer. Which I understand you dont have control of processing the meat but you are the ones that are serving it to the customer. We understand that accidents happen and it obviously wasnt on purpose but you do have a responsibility over the quality of the food youre serving your customers. Its especially harmful when this is where we take our family out for nice meals and nothing was done about it except blame someone else. They didnt even bother to apologize, which is the least you could do, or offer a different meal. But instead still charged us for the hamburger they had a literal metal wire in it. It was especially embarrassing because we had family visiting us from another country and this was supposed to be a special dinner. Its just extremely embarrassing for us to have to have these arguments with the restaurant manager to even get them to offer a replacement meal. I just hope that the managers receive better training in response to scenarios like this. Especially because if an accident were to have happened such as slicing the inside of her mouth with a metal wire or a broken tooth then FDs would be liable for that accident.

Well, I ve been going to FD s for quite a while, after my last visit, I won t be returning. I noticed a new menu and that s okay, what s not okay is the quality of food going way down. The food here was great! If not the best in Tyler Texas. Also ask for Isabelle, she is incredible. She was very attentive and bubbly and she never let our water get past 2 sips. If I ever need someone to take a bullet for Isabelle would do it. If I was ever 600 dollars short on rent that month Isabelle would pay it. I absolutely adore this place. I come out here as often as I can. The fish and chips are to die for. I wish they added a bit more chips though. Also, if the owner is reading this PLEASE change the music up! I am so tired of hearing the Africa song. Its a joke between my wife and I at this point... Edit: OMG the owner changed the music! Hilarious, however.. The music is now straight from the classic 1990s Dumbo movie track. It may be worse but I still love this place.

FD s is mine and my husbands date night experience a few times each week. We love the ambiance, the music, and overall atmosphere. The bartenders are always very cheerful and helpful. We would definitely recommend FD s for a night out, or making it a regular dinner spot.

Relatively well-priced for the food you get. Modern ambience, nice staff, good service. Food is consistently good and the menu is diverse. Melinda was our server tonight. She did a fantastic job. She was really attentive and even gave our toddler a sticker. My husband guzzles down sweet tea like nobodys business, but she was bringing them before he could finish them - an impressive feat!

Went and got the sirloin... Needless to say alex I believe his name was rang it up at the bar. I asked for medium rare.... It was brown all the way through. Highly disappointed. I asked him to get it redone and he basically told me to screw myself. Will not be back at this establishment. Extremely frustrated with this restaurant and weve been coming for 6 years and never had an issue until this spikey haired guy came around.

Sad to find out they re slowly firing the best employees:/ I had the best service on Wednesday mornings with my husband and our server was a girl named Abby I believe. Then we came this Friday to find out the person always making our drinks named Tanner was fired sad day. We got the Hawaiian chicken and it was raw sent it back and it came out burnt 2/10. Won t be back unless things change

We had the best service ever. Our waitress, Melinda, was caring, sweet, attentive and beyond amazing. She was always on point and we never had to wait for a thing. It was like magic and she knew exactly what we needed before we even knew. The food was great, as always but this time made me come write a review thanks to her. We will be back and must have her as our waitress. It is not usual these days for someone to leave such an impression on you and just overall leave you feeling happy and blessed to have been in their presence. Melinda is a total asset to this company and the entire brand. We need more like her in this world. If you have the chance, sit in her section, you will not regret it.

Ordered food to go, and time to pick up was 4:15 we parked and called to the Togo number. 5 calls no answer so we called the restaurant and a girl said I will go check no results, we called again it is now 20 minutes past our pick up time. Finally they bring our dinner out 25 minutes late and my food was Ice Cold. Wow FDS your better than this.

He was our server and was so personable and welcoming. He was a perfect balance of being attentive but not overbearing. You can tell he is just an all around friendly guy. On Monday, my husband and I took his father and a friend to dinner at FDs. What a wonderful experience. Alan was our server and he was on point! My father in law can be hard to wait on and Alan was so patient and kind. Next time we go, I will ask for him again. Our cocktails were prepared by Hayden and all were perfect. We went to FDs for lunch. My husband ordered a Hawaiian Chicken with baked potato. The chicken and potato were both cool. We told the waitress. She told the manager. No one came by to check on us. Another complaint I have is that the music was too loud. She did have them turn it down, but it was still too loud.

We love the food here BUT... The music is AWFUL. This is Tyler Texas, yall. Your owner may like it but I assure you the majority of your clientele does not. Can we just have normal music? At Tweleve too!? Next, The lemon circles are POINTLESS for those of us who actually USE the lemon for our water. Come on, you know that is messy. Lastly, The consistency of your sauces needs to get better. Sometimes the bourbon sauce is VERY spicy and sometimes its not. Please get your cooks on the same page. We love the food and the affordable prices, we come once a week... but these things are soooo very frustrating every single time. P.S. Your staff is always amazing

The food here is alright. Sometimes, things dont come out right, and sometimes, things are great. Most of the time, things are good. Today, I got the fish and chips, which are normally great, but today, they tasted off. They were pretty chewy and tasted a little too fishy, if you know what I mean. Everything else was still good.

Hadn t been to FD s for some time and was totally disappointed when we went for dinner with friends last night. The service was SUPER SLOW, no one s order came out correctly and the fried shrimp and fish was over cooked and very dry. I got the sweet potato casserole (big mistake) and it was more gooey marshmallow topping than sweet potatoes. The whole experience put us off going back. And then we heard they are opening a 4th restaurant in Tyler, some sort of steak place. Think they need to spend more time making FD s worth going to
