I waited a whole month for an appointment and I was fine with it but I got a called that same day from her assistant that if I could make it to the appointment earlier if not then she was only going to do the appointment by phone so I had no other option than take the appointment by phone, my appointment was at 3:00pm and I get called by the assistant again at 3:00pm and made me pay $50dlls for a phone consultation not in person. When Erika the lawyer called me she was driving and probably not even paying attention or writing down what I was explaining to her, she even said she couldn t make it to the appointment because her son had a doctors appointment and I paid a babysitter to be at my appointment! I tried to explain to her my situation and she kept telling me that I was not going to get anything from the divorce that it was better to come to an agreement instead of asking for more plus she kept saying to me do you have more questions but never what was going to be the next step or what information I needed to give her! not even tried to ask or help me understand better, she said to me that she wasn t going to bring down the stars and the moon for me ! And yes I understand that ! But at least have a little more empathy for your clients ! This are people that are going through a difficult time! Please don t waste your time and money with her. Erika is not going to defend you or look for the best for you! She already knows (assume) what the judge is going to say with out even trying.

Erica is a great lawyer! She is very knowledgeable and explained things to me in a way I could understand. She listened to my concerns, wants and needs.. while putting everything I asked for into the right lawful terminology. She also added provisions I wouldnt have thought of to benefit and protect myself and my kids. She was very patient and of course verified everything with me before sending anything off to the court offices She has great relationships with the judges as well as other lawyers, which seemed to make the processes go very smoothly. Divorces can be simple or complicated and mine unfortunately was a little complicated. Ms. Rios helped me through this difficult process and really represented me against his lawyer. She came through with facts, documentation, and the final ruling was in my favor. She put my kids first and every decision that was made was for the benefit of them. If you re looking for an attorney that will sit on your paperwork, never follow through, claim to request extensions or certain proceedings, and request to withdraw on the final day of court; than Erica Rios is the attorney for you. Please don t waste your money or your time. I am not one to usually leave reviews, however, I refuse to have another family go through what my family is going through. If I could leave her 0 stars, I would.

Things always get messy when it comes to a divorce and mine was no exception. I choose Ms. Rios because she came highly recommended by alot of different professions. Throughout the process she demonstrated excellent knowledge and made the other attorney look like Lionel Hutz. I was extremly satisfied in how everything came out and have recommended her to everyone looking for one. Divorces are a nightmare, your spouse will turn on you but you deserve to leave with what you worked hard for and your reputation, so I went with the best.

I had a very stressful divorce and what Erica taught me was to trust her and trust the process. It can be nerve racking to have patience and put your future in someone elses hands, especially when a child is involved, but Erica represented me and my interests with great respect and finess! Any time we spoke, she reassured me of the process and didnt hesistate to offer her advice and legal coucil. Shes an excellent listener and I felt like she truly cared about helping through the most difficult time in my life. If you are struggling through a divorce, you are divorcing with children, or even if you need a lawyer whos knowledgable about military families, shes an excellent choice!

Do not recommend. She s cheap lawyer and there is a reason why. . I had to call for updates constantly, I was lied to about being called back numerous times by the lady at the front desk. She also lied About emailing my final paperwork to child support office as I eventually had to call and check the status and confirm the law office had sent nothing over to child support. They had my signed court papers for over a month and NEVER notified me. I had to call to find that out after hearing nothing for a while. In the end I had to send my paper in myself and the matter was resolved within 2 weeks.

Withdrew a week before an important hearing, rarely returned phone calls. Still waiting for my file. Im sure she is a nice person but professionally if your not prepared to do a job your paid for because its complicated or personal family issues then maybe a different line of work would be a better option. But being told shes out that money and it only affects her bothers me, it affects me and my children greatly.
