Out of state brewery traveler here. This place is hella cool with a ton of room and a nice, large beer menu. Didn t eat anything, but the food menu looked delicious. Lots of swag offerings should you want to rep their merch. Dude that served our beer was as friendly as it comes, even by southern standards. Both indoor and outdoor seating were available. I have to come back on a weekend evening soon!

Bestie and I came here because Stanleys was out of the food we were hoping for but little did we know the same case happened here. We were so hungry that we gave it a try anyways. The food was extremely mid. The burgers were so small, they ran out of multiple things before dinnertime, overpriced and the samdwiches are definitely not good enough to not come with sides included. THAT QUESO THOUGH!!!!!!!! I did like the selection of drinks including meade and the soda fountain options. The absolute best part was our server Taylor!! She was very sweet and amongst the hectic chaos she really made sure we were informed of kitchen mishaps, items running out and she put so much energy into fixing a mistake on our bill. She was the gem tonight!! I cant recommend this place unless you have a big budget and are into drinking. In that case it might just be what you are looking for!

The food was really good, we liked that the sandwiches could be done as wraps. Fries were ok, a little too much seasoning. Mac & Cheese is my favorite food. Theirs was pretty good, but very strong flavor. Great atmosphere, we sat outside and watched the town go by. Would have loved to have been there a night they had a band playing. Would recommend if you are looking for good food and a good vibe!

Im typing this as I sit here at The Porch at ETX. We put in our order at 7:21. It has been an hour and we are just starting to get out food. We ordered a burger, cheese curds, and nachos. The nachos and cheese curds are cold as if they have been sitting for quite some time even though our buzzer just went off to go get them from the counter. We asked the employees where the burger is hoping to finally get to eat and no one seemed to know what was going on. The staff needs better training and clear expectations for how long food is going to take should be set. This was my boyfriend and Is first time here and based on our experience it will be the last. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase more than a beer. Go to McDonalds instead, you will get better customer service and food at a much faster rate. So disappointed and upset that we spent over $50 for such unsatisfying food.

WARNING!!!!! My wife and I at there for the first time Thursday night and our credit card was charged an additional $5 for a tip that we did not authorize. For two sandwiches and two colas the original charge was almost $35 and today I received a notice that they had went back and charged and additional tip of $5. You order at the counter and pick up your own food then they steal from their customers but adding unauthorized tips. We will never return to this restaurant and want to warn everyone that they are electronically stealing from their customers!

I ll give it another shot next time I m in town, but my first experience was lackluster. Burger was sloppily put together and lacked flavor. The brioche bun was cool, stale, and not toasted. The meat patty wasn t seasoned and was falling apart. It wasn t busy at all so I m not sure why it was sent out so hastily. At $14 I expect better quality. Cheers

Beer and service is good, but food is garbage. Overcooked everything. Go for drinks, but eat before you go. Update: Family of four, around 3PM on Wednesday, July 27. Ordered fried chicken sandwich ($14), cowboy burger ($14), and kids chicken and mac ($6/each). Might be worst chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Stale bun, chicken was drier than west Texas. Everything else was unremarkable. Definitely not worth the $$$. First time in a while that Ive thrown food away. I shouldve gone to Whataburger instead, where at least you get what you pay for.

I was excited about trying a new place to dine at in Tyler until I walked in and noticed the treatment. If u are African American, this is NOT the place for u! I walked in and was given a menu and was told to sit and someone would come take our order. We sat for about 15min and watched a group of about 8 continuously getting waited on while we havent even been offered anything to drink, just getting side eyed by the girl up front who was supposed to be taking our order. I just got up and left and will not be back. I would rather spend my money at McDonalds where they love to see u smile! Side note *there were literally about 10 people in the whole restaurant is there was no excuse on why we were being watched instead of being served.

Weve been waiting for an hour in a completely empty restaurant for burgers and hotdogs. Kitchen staff has no hustle at all. I dont know how there hasnt been a review like this on here. This is ridiculous. Kids are crying theyre so hungry and were all getting mad. Finally I was able to get fries for the kids but I dont think Ill be coming back even if the food is good.

Great food was the rather large portions. Expect to pay close to 15 dollars per person just for food. The staff is great at finding a beer you will love that matches your taste preference. The kitchen is open so you can see the cooks hard at work while you sip your beer and relax.

I love The Porch at ETX! All of the food is incredible and they have a great selection of beer! They have inside or outside seating and plenty of games to keep you entertained! They also have live music occasionally and really fun events. This is hands down one of my favorite places to go! I love the staff and the whole atmosphere! Great customer service. 10 year old Twin A: There is a server named Cole who was very very nice and showed great customer service. The food was a 10/10. This is such a fun place to go. The beer selection is - naturally - fantastic, the menu is huge, and the atmosphere is laid back but tidy. The staff are all amazing. Super friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend checking it out. Fast forwarding a bit to update this review: The food is really hit or miss. Our first visit the food was delicious. The next time we went we had the quesadillas (anemic and cold) and cheese fries that just... didnt hit the mark. We also tried the pizza and it was completely inedible. Seriously took two bites, passed it on to the friends we had with us, and they agreed with us. I still really like this place, but I dont know if I would gamble on their food again.

We are late to the party and just tried the Porch recently. The food was great and reasonably priced. The venue was laid back and had a genuine pub feel. It was a great date night location with good beer, good food, and game options (pool, video games, chess, etc.). We plan to go back on double-dates and take kids for dinner on non-event kind of laid back nights. Wish we had tried it sooner. One of my new favorites.

Since they opened The Porch I go several times a week for lunch. Its the America food variety-burgers, fries, ice cream bar too. Plenty of different craft beer to choose from. They let you sample so you can pick your favorite. They havent events and live bands place. The music is a little loud when local bands play but hey its a bar and you expect that. There are two areas where you can order. The ETX side where they make the beer is usually less crowded and quieter. The Porch-kitchen area where live bands play and more seating.

Dont overlook the wide selection of craft beer and they even have some wines and ciders if that is more your fare. You can purchase and refill growlers of any of their brews. Definitely will be back again.

If you want quality food, great beer and awesome atmosphere, then this is the place for you. I ve been to ETX multiple times and NEVER has the food failed to amaze me. They have a great family atmosphere. A wide variety of beers will leave you staring at the beer menu trying to decide which one to wet your whistle. Overall, great place.

I eat here several times a week and everytime it is a treat. The staff is very friendly and takes care of you. Every week Chef Nate has something new and its amazing everytime and gives you a reason to come back. This is the best place to eat in Downtown Tyler.

The food from this place is amazing! I had the Cluck Norris sandwich. The chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The garlic mustard is to die for. My son, who considers himself to be a foodie, loved the West Coast Chicken Club as well. We shared some of the chips and salsa. The chips were perfectly fried and the salsa had just the right balance of heat and flavor. Highly recommended!

These folks have got it all! Atmosphere, service, and food and craft brews, what more could ask for? I consider myself a foodie, and the burgers here are absolutely phenomenal, from first bite til last, IF you can make it to that last bite. The atmosphere is very inviting, comfortable, and modern. I do not have a single complaint! Glad to see this small town, family owned pub doing so well!

My husband and I had high hopes for the food here but it was sadly lacking. My husband got a burger which was a nice size but did lack flavor. The burger had an egg on it and he told them he wanted the yoke to be runny but instead got a very cooked yoke that completely ruined the reason he got the egg on the burger. The fried onions were the best thing on the burger taste wise. I got the mac and cheese. I like alot of cheese in my mac and cheese but there was more cheese than mac and the cheese was so thick, not creamy at all. It was not appetising at all, I only ate a few bites of it. They only have bottled soft drinks, they are not a normal 20 oz bottle they are smaller I am guess they are 16 oz but not totally sure, so we assumed no refils when you run out of your bottle but not totally sure. Took about 30 min to get our food so therefore did not want to send any of it back and have to wait another 30 min. I understand this place has not been open long so hopefully they improve over time.

Very good food. Great pan cakes not bad for a morning bite to eat on a Saturday morning or any time frame the in open. 2 pan cakes and order of 2 pieces of banken and a glass of orange juice .this for 2 order s for 2 me and my mom. Only spent less than 12 bucks. They also bar style games that you are able to play and have fun at and have fun with your friends and family members. And I live in the down town Tyler. Just a great spot to come down to after work or just to grab a quick bite for lunch hour or for dinner. And I am glad for this family staff to bring back a mom and pop family style place back in to the down town of Tyler tx. For family members be able to bring the kids to and enjoy a free concert during though out the year

We ve been going to ETX for a while, we decided to give the porch a try. The room and atmosphere is great and of course a huge plus is you can get ETX beers in the porch (best beer in town if you haven t tried it). Appetizers were decent, the Texas toothpicks were good but the chips and salsa are served with chips that resembled pita chips to me. Personally it was my favorite. I had the patty melt and my wife had the burger, both were fantastic and huge portions! Price is higher than if you re looking for typical bar food, but I feel it was fairly priced for the quality of food. I forgot to mention to macaroni and cheese fries, something I ve never experienced before but was pretty tasty. All in all it was good food, great atmosphere, amazing beer, and a fun place to eat and have a drink.
