Ordered a Grande Papa Burrito, fajita beef, might have had maaaaybe 10 pieces of small fajita beef on it. For a near $20 burrito, i expected more than a veggie burrito ft. a little meat. Got sat with chips and salsa for a table of 3, ran out of chips and salsa and never saw the waitress again until food was delivered. Salsa was fairly bland. Not even busy during this time.Wont be returning to this one, well stick to the one in longview.

Our first time here. Christian provided great service! The fajita nachos were excellent with fresh guacamole. The chicken taco salad was mediocre. I d recommend grilling the chicken instead of boiling and shredding it. It doesn t have any flavor. We ll be back for the nachos.

The food and service was very good. In my opinion, better than most of the Mexican Restaurants in town. Atmosphere is on par for a Mexican Restaurant. We never had to ask for a thing. Found this place at the last minute. Everything was fantastic. I love the seasoned chips . The hot sauce was perfect not to hot just right . I had the taxcos al corbon and it was very good . Great flavor . The waitress was especially friendly. She was very sweet . We will go there again . I hope soon .

Split fajitas and they were fantastic !!!! We love this restaurant and it is consistently delicious on every dish! Fast and excellent service. We love Papacita s! We have been going to Pappasito s for probably the last 25 years. They have a steady staff that have been there for many years because they re very kind they want to place you. They are fast. They will accommodate you in anyway. We have had birthday parties in the back room and it s just an all-around great place with excellent food. My favorite is the Shrimp w/ fajita vegetables. It is so so good and the amount is such that I can have half for supper that night our family and friends recommend this place. It s almost family. Wheelchair accessibility: I am in a wheelchair and carry my own and my husband unload it. You need to park at the handicap places there are four and there s a ramp to each of them right in front of them or beside the front of the restaurant.

We arrived at 6pm on the Saturday night before Fathers Day and were seated in the very back section, where no other guests were seated. My husband had gone to the restroom when the server came over, and as I was completing my order, my husband returned and spoke in Spanish to the waiter advising to use 1800 tequila in the margarita that I had just ordered. The server then told him that he would not serve him anything other than water, because they dont over serve. I was shocked. My husband had consumed 2 beers about an hour before we arrived at the restaurant (while my stepmother and I shopped in the mall), and showed absolutely no signs of being intoxicated. He is a retired Army Veteran (28 years of service) and was really surprised at being denied service. Needless to say, we got up and left. I should have known better when there were 3 cars in the parking lot at 6 pm on a Saturday night. We will never step foot in this establishment again. By sitting us in the back, it was almost as though we had a target on us from the moment we walked through the door.

I had a bit of an issue here last week but I got in touch with management and they solved it for me. So I took myself to lunch on Mothers Day,candy even though staff was a bit short and the place was packed it was fabulous I requested Josh, server extrodinairre, and you can see my lunch! The food is always on point, never had to ask for a thing, was checked in often, kept my tea glass filled and I never felt rushed and he had a very full section The spinach quesadilla was amazing Its a small family owned operation, and I owned and operated my family restaurant for over 40 years, so I am very familiar with the joys, sorrows, stress, and day to day running, its both fulfilling and extremely tedious! So this review comes from a retired restaurant owner and its the only Mexican restaurant in Tyler I eat at, so that should say everything! Go and try it out!

Honestly, I m so disappointed. I was told this one is much better than the one in Longview, which was definitely a lie. We were told they don t do the tortillas, but we still asked for some. When brought out to us, they tasted like they were straight out of dollar store bag (they also smelt very funky). The salsa was watery and very mild, and the chips were stale and bland. The queso I spent 9 dollars on was cold, and our drinks tasted like dirty tap water. We ordered and in less than 10 minutes our food was brought out to us. The plate was insanely hot, but the food was very cold. You could tell by the way the rice and beans were hard that they had been microwaved. Our tamales and enchiladas were hard to cut, and my friend s tamales had hard burnt meat inside of it. Our food had NO seasoning/taste to it aside from the beans. Even the people at the table beside us were talking about how awful their food was too. I will never be returning.

We needed a place in Tyler for out of town family to gather after my mother-in-laws memorial service. Papasitas fixed a backroom with tables close enough for everyone to visit comfortably and put together a great buffet for 25 of us. Clay was our main server and he was nothing less than phenomenal. We have been going to Papacitas for more than a decade. The food is consistent, the service is always friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable. We prefer this place over the big chain restaurants in town because the atmosphere is calm, the background music is actually in the background, and the food it always good. We usually get enchiladas, flautas, or quesadillas, but this last time we got the chile rellenos. The menu said it came with chicken but ours showed up with steak and it was delightful. Its always a go-to, simple Mexican food restaurant.

The beef flautas/taquitos were good, I like the salsa, chips and guacamole. The crunchy chicken taco was decent, a little dry but still good. The beans had a lot of flavor, maybe a tad too much cumin. The rice was even better after I put their red salsa in it. I would NOT order the Chile Rellenos again it was more like a Chile stuffed with a cheddar/Colby Jack string cheese and breaded with something used for fried chicken. No where near a Chile Rellenos & much more like a not hot or flavorful jalapeno popper. They literally looked like cheese sticks. If they were out of what they needed to make them correctly, I would rather have been told that then having had to pay so much for poorly made chile cheese poppers. Wonderful customer service. And the sprite actually didn t taste like rust like some places close by.

Visiting from San Antonio and found a home away from home. The food was SA approved, puro Tex-Mex! Ms. Judy, our server, was a pure delight. The portion sizes were eye-popping. Great place for no frills Tex-Mex. This place seems kind of old and a little dark and dingy - but its always clean and it always smells clean. In fact its cleaner than many of the local chain Mexican food places in town. They also have decent specials, good margaritas and great spinach enchiladas. By far the best rice I ve had in a looooong time. The beef fajitas were perfectly seasoned and tender. I m thrilled to find a great restaurant that treats their customers with respect and courtesy. Had my moms 80th birthday party here. Our server was Crystal and she was great! The team at the restaurant did a great job in making sure we had all we needed. They were prepared for us and took care of us great!

I think Papacitas is a great Tex-Mex restaurant. Their food is very good along with service from all the staff (including manager) is stellar. Definitely recommend this restaurant
